Plumbforce Direct job booked for a new boiler

Good afternoon, I booked a job with your company for a new boiler, They quoted me £2400 for an unvented boiler which I paid a deposit for and the work was booked in for today 19.1.18 at 9.30am.

I had spoken to the service Manager Scott who confirmed the engineer who would be carrying out the work has G3 qualified and would have a certificate which he confirmed he was and able to carry out work on a unvented cylinder.

The engineers turned up at 10.30am which was an hour late with no ID and no certificates, when I rang gas safe they informed me that the engineers certificate had elapsed and that they were not qualified to carry out the work.

I spoke to Scott again this morning and he said I was to get the engineer to carry out the work and he would get some to sign it off on Monday which I responded is not legal as he is not trained to carry out the work.

Scott then informed me that you would get someone to carry out the work on Monday, which means I have no hot water all weekend. I informed scott to cancel the job and refund my deposit. I also sent him an email this morning at 11.30am asking him to let me know when this has been done which he have still not responded to.

I had taken a day off work for this work to be carried out and the work was not done.

I would like someone to contact me to confirm that the money is being refunded.

I would also like a response about the complaint regarding your company sending out unqualified engineers and a date of when my deposit is going to be refunded. Also as a manager Scott should beware of how to handle dissatisfied customers, not to respond to a customer after bad service is unacceptable

Plumbforce Direct plumbing - dangerous installation

This company is exceptionally dangerous and should be avoided for boiler installation.

The company installed a new Keston boiler however we had constant banging noises in our pipe system and no heating on the top level of our house. Suspecting faulty installation we asked an alternative plumbing firm to check the installation. The inflow and outflow pipes had been connected the wrong way round. Further, parts of the boiler had simply been discarded rather than installed and other elements glued in place rathar than attached correctly. The boiler was deemed unsafe.

The customer service is terrible. Repeatedly appointments to come and view the negligent work were missed, calls unreturned, promises to call unfulfilled. The company refuse to reimburse for any of the additional costs that we incurred.

Plumbforce Direct plumbing service and customer service

Service was simply changing toilet syphon and seal. Ieven sent scott a picture of the syphon so that a like for like replacement could be done.
The first plumber didn't show up for the 8 am to 10 am slot. The office manager, Scott, kept promising to call me back in a few minutes and then not returning my calls. I should have smelt a rat and used someone cheaper, like Pimlico! The first plumber turned up the following day in the evening and quote £250 including VAT but wanted cash upfront. The office had told me that cash payment was not correct, so I sent him away.
The second plumber charged be £395 including VAT, arrived late and fitted the wrong part and was dirty (walked dirt through the carpets and left the bathroom in a state). I had to pay him to get him out of the house, but immediately called Scott who agreed to refund me £105 immediately in respect of the over charging.
On realising that the work was not correct (the toilet wouldn't flush) a third plumber came. He was also late. He confirmed that the wrong part had been fitted, disappeared for an hour to "get a new part" and fitted the correct part in 20 minutes.
Then I get confirmation that my credit card has not been credited with the promised £105. On waiting on hold for Scott I listen to the marketing which report "we respect your time... if we are late we will pay you" Tis is completely false. The first time I challenged Scott on the meaning of this promise, he said that the plumber will requite the work if he is late - didn't happen for me. The next time I asked him about this, a couple of weeks later as again the £105 refund hadn't gone through, he said it means that the customer gets a £25 discount if the plumber is late. Well I have had three late plumbers and more than 10 unreturned calls. Now Scott tries to tell me that the £105 refund that I haven't received is in connection to the plumbers being late and not the original overcharging.
I have been trying to escalate the problem to the FD Stuart, but as they are related and share the same surname of Hall, it is hard to tell if Stuart has the same poor attitude to customer care as Scott, or if Scott is simply so poor he just doesn't pass on the request.
I understand that the company does not have a complaints procedure. my advice would be not to be taken in by their lovely telephone manner, save you time and money and go to a different plumber.
As a plus, eventually the syphon was changed, but it cost me about 20 hours of my time. However as a minus I was overcharged and lied to.
Avoid if possible.

Plumbforce Direct dangerous plumbers that hires terrorist.

This company is dangerous and hires Terrorist!
My boiler was not working properly, I have called PlumbForceDirect to fix the issue. On site the technician recommended to change it. I agreed and paid for a new boiler 2100 pound.
A few days later the water in the kitchen was not cold and I called again for someone to come, the boiler was making strange noise so I decided to ask another company to come and called Pimlico Plumbers and after inspection saw that the boiler was un safe and had to replace it again.
The boiler installed by PlumForceDirect was dangerous and the work poorly done hence no certificate was provided.
This is extremely dangerous and we cannot have un-professionals fitting bad boilers at peoples home as the risk for health is huge.
When googled the technician, the background information about him stated that he had been a convicted Terrorist! BBC 'convicted plumber terrorist'! So plumbforce direct hired a convicted terrorist that they send to my home to make more damage than good. A company to avoid!
Of course Plumbforce Direct never refunded me.

Plumbforce Direct unethical behaviour

I called this company on 19 Apr 2017 to unblock my drains and I explained exactly what was the problem. The same issue I had few times in the past. I dealt with various companies in the past and so far the cost was always under £100. Plumbforce Direct gave me the quote of £105 + VAT. They turned up and upon inspection they suggested to use Jet which suddenly was £295 + VAT. Despite what they state on their website of fixed price http://www.plumbforcedirect.co.uk/price-guide/ this was unacceptable by me. They insisted for me to pay original quote despite they did not do the job. I ended up with blocked drains and £105 + VAT out of pocket. I called another company which did the job in minutes for £80 + VAT. They had fixed price promise as well.

Plumbforce Direct boiler diagnosis

Having had some difficulty with my boiler one week I was keen to identify the problem and have it fixed so I could have hot water in my property again. I looked online and thought that Plumb Force Direct would have the capability and expertise to support me with my issue.

Sadly I was very mistaken. After coming round the next day, I was greeted by an employee with a heavy accent which was very difficult to understand. After turning the boiler off and on and hitting the reset button (as I had already done before the visit) - he then came to tell me he was "confused" and that because it was not a manual display, he was unsure how to identify the problem. Alarmingly, he then needed to call up the manufacturer to ask what they thought the problem was.

Having a "confused" plumber come to help was not helpful at all - particularly when he wasn't able to diagnose the boiler at all (later another company came to fix the boiler at a much cheaper price and fixed issues which Plumb Force Direct failed to detect). Apart from the incompetence of the plumber, Plumb Force direct also quoted extortionate and unreasonable prices to "try" and fix the boiler. Quoting over £800 to fix some parts (not all of which needed to be fixed) with no guarantee that the boiler would work. I was then told that I may need to spend further funds fixing other parts if the boiler didn't work after the initial "fix".

Again - this goes in direct contrast to a statement on their website: "We’ve yet to be stumped on any problematic boiler or central heating system we come across." Despite this the employee asked for the user guide of the boiler to help with his confusion - which other companies did not require. Stating the extortionate costs for an "attempt" to fix a boiler made this offer completely redundant (who would pay for someone to "try" and fix their boiler, paying over £1, 000 in the process...?). I was then offered a quote for a new boiler and asked for some time to decide. Later that evening I realized my boiler began to leak (which it had not done before Plumb Force Direct's visit) - and called them up to ask why.

I was told there was no emergency plumbers available and that I would have to wait till the next day. With water pouring out of my boiler - I had no choice but to look elsewhere. I was fortunate enough to find out another company were offering support at a much cheaper price and decided to go with them. When I told Plumb Force Direct about my issues - they simply stated "it's not clear that water was coming from the boiler" despite having attached photos to demonstrate this fact.

Despite a range of issues: Failure to diagnose the problem Being "confused" Heavily overcharging for quotes provided compared to what is available by competitors (demonstrating they care more about sales rather than customer value) Failure to take responsibility for leakage caused by Plumb Force Direct Failure to be able to provide emergency support for an issue causes by themselves They still proceeded to charge £85 + VAT for the privilege.

I would wholeheartedly recommend any other consumer to look elsewhere if considering Plumb Force Direct - from my experience they are not able to provide an effective service, lack staff, give a poor customer experience, but most of all - are not sufficiently skilled to fix boiler issues which other companies are able to do with ease.in terms of the resolution I found - I used another company who charged less than half of what Plumb Force Direct were charging. If you've got boiler issues - learn from my mistakes and look online, make sure you look for another service provider with reviews you are comfortable with.

This review is similar to one left on another review site (they tried to remove it as it's not very flattering). Overall - this company should be shut down - they have incompetent staff, causes more issues than previously exist and are generally cowboys that should be avoided.

I didn't like: Incompetent staff, Failure to acknowledge issues, Extortionate prices.

Plumbforce Direct liars, poor quality work, zero communication, much more expensive than anyone else

Awful company, please steer clear. Ripped me off with some blocked drainage work they carried out.

Failed to fix the problem despite charging over £450 for a couple of hours work. When I tried to get them back to fix it again they were nice in the phone and said someone was coming to have a look. But this took several days to organise despite us having no way of showering.

When they eventually got an appointment sorted they didn't show up. I had taken the day off work for nothing. But the worse thing was that they never phoned to update me, I had to phone them repeatedly and they just said they'll be there soon.

When I insisted they do something, someone eventually showed up late in the evening, they were rude and said it was too dark to fix it. Eventually I used another company who fixed it straight away for a third of the cost. Have never received any apology or compensation from them. Terrible experience!

Plumbforce Direct plumbing

your technician had a difficult situation in solving my dilemma with sinks that were backed up with foul smelling water & dirty gunk, however, with his expertise he unclogged the main line by removing 2 caps & using a wire snake to open up the main line pipe & used a plunger in the laundry room sinks, then the water finally went down the 2 drains. He asked me to flush both toilets in my home & to run the water in the bathroom sinks as well as the kitchen sink and to fill my washing machine with water & let it flow out of the hose into the sink as part of the test. The water had flowed freely into the drains without any additional backup. I was very grateful that Shawn was able to correct my water backup situation in both sinks. He was terrific & even cleaned up the area after he completed the task. He was kind enough to empty out a large plastic bin that was filled with the dirty murky water & other gunk from inside the pipe. I had let him borrow a little 4 wheeled trolley to put the plastic bin on to pull across the floor, and I asked him to dump the water onto the dirt outside my rear basement door. Shawn was very efficient & knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done & explained the process to me as he was working to clear out the clogged pipe. I appreciate that he was able to come to my assistance today. Now I won't have to worry about my sinks overflowing in the future. Thank goodness! *EXCELLENT

Lucky to get such a lovely repair person.

If there were 10 stars, Plumbforce Direct would get them all! I called this morning after comparing many reviews, and we are so pleased. Plumbforce Direct sent Jim out to repair a toilet that wouldn't fill with water. He not only fixed that, but a stopped another nagging issue I had been putting off. I can honestly say that Jim was the nicest, most professional, honest, skilled technician of any repair person we have ever had at our home in over 30 years. I would highly recommend Plumbforce Direct, and if you're lucky enough to get Jim, you will be so pleased.

Impressed

So I'm not a big reviewer on here but I do take the time out to write reviews for businesses that really impress me. My boiler wasn't working right and I didn't want to call the last company since I feel that I was overcharged. I was referred to this company by my neighbour and she had full confidence in them. I gave them a call and I was given an appt for the next day. The engineer came out and was gracious enough to give me a "heads up" before showing up. He was really nice and funny. He checked my boiler... Diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimate. I asked if It were ok to "shop" it around, he said he understood and to call the office when I am ready and if I had any further questions. I did indeed Shop it around and even had another company come out and they diagnosed it with a completely different diagnosis! Come to find out( after calling Plumbforce Direct back and telling them the competitors diagnosis) that they were charging for unnecessary repairs. I'm so happy I shopped around because it went to show what kind of honest company Plumbforce Direct really is! I got the simple repair done and my boiler is working perfectly( I need it with this weather)
And It encouraged me to sign a maintenance contract with them that has them come out once a year to make sure everything is ok. Something I didn't know existed. I am really truly happy with their service and would recommend them to anyone looking for honesty and accountability!

If there were 10 stars, Plumbforce Direct would get them all! I called this morning after comparing many reviews, and we are so pleased. The job required replacing a toilet which was on a concrete wall. It was a tricky job which required manually chipping out the wall around the toilet and adapting to what they found. The result was excellent with the chipped out area (which they kept as small as possible) filled with concrete only needing paint. They were EXCELLENT to work with and were clearly committed to quality work and and to customer satisfaction (including minimising the cost). As they worked they pointed out what they were running in to and possible options. They were rained on multiple times during the job but they kept working and retained there positive attitudes. They were a pleasure to work with and I would use them again and highly recommend them to others.

Fixed my leak and totally agree great plumbing company

I live in Esher - My neighbours below have been complaining about a leak for the past year of me living above them. I have no idea where the leak was coming from because we were dry in my Apt. The people my landlord always sent NEVER got the job done right, claiming it was the shower?!. After growing tired of constant complaints and disturbances I took matters into my own hands and called Plumbforce Direct. The entire time the leak was coming from the sink NOT the shower. Plumbforce fixed the problem for a fair price- and ever since my life has been free of complaints from down below.

Plumbforce Direct plumbing

Highly recommended

I was recommended to Plumbforce by a friend that had used them for quite a few bathroom installations for his new properties and had used the plumber to install a vanity, bathtub, shower head etc. My water heater just broke i called this plumber and arranged with him to come straight away even on a Saturday they organised a water heater from a local supplier who had it delivered and installed all within 1.5 hours. Service was fantastic, reasonably priced and the plumber was very easy to deal with.

Plumbforce Direct Fixed a major dilemma Plumbforce Direct

Plumbforce Direct flooded my flat and didn't return

I booked Plumbforce Direct to remove radiators for damp works. They promised 12-2.00, came at 6.30 after I had called 5-6 times, then doubled the price quoted on the phone. I agreed when they said that included replacing the radiators. they didn't cap the pipes so the rooms were flooded and carpet ruined. They didn't come back, despite repeated calls. they promised to refund my £200+ and I'm still waiting.

Plumbforce Direct service

Half finished job replacing boiler (in the middle of winter) which was supposed to be finished the following day. Left without heating or gas for cooking for (currently) 24 hours and still awaiting.The office was suppose to come back to me on two occasions to provide a replacement plumber and they did not. After midday, all calls go to a third party switchboard, not the office. Finally given a time for the plumber to arrive which should have been over an hour and a half ago. Still waiting...Calls continuously unanswered by plumber. Wish I had read all of the online reviews prior.

Plumbforce Direct plumbforce direct drainage service

Disgusting Company

The worst experience I have ever had from a service provider, the office consists of Scott, Deborah and Sylvia, however it is Scott who is in charge. After finding them on google, I spoke to Slyvia, explained the issue and she quoted me a fixed cost for the work, she said 99% of the time this was the case but sometimes they may need to use additional equipment to unblock the drain, which would be a higher set cost. I checked and confirmed with her that the price would not be higher than what she quoted when on site, I was assured it wouldn't. The workman turned up late, they say on their website if they are even a minute late, they will pay you. Extremely unprofessional workman, on site, cost was tripled quoted price, couldn't really explain the cost difference. Work was carried out as we would have to pay the call out fee. Spoke to Scott in the office who said £100 would be refunded. This was May. 5 months of chasing has effectively got no where. They don't have a customer service team, effectively they ignore all complaints. It took 5 months to squeeze answers out of them, repeated calling, being put on hold, numerous emails sent to which no one replied. I asked for the transcripts of the calls, as all calls are monitored for training and monitoring purposes, Scott Hall had to check with management, Stuart Hall, who you can't speak to, no doubt related. Trading standards advised me to request these, after weeks of chasing, ignored emails, promises of call backs, Scott said they would be released. Nothing, then there was an issue with being able to download them, he had to contact the company, then I was told that they wouldn't be releasing them. He lied, he did about the refund, he kept saying it had been processed. When confronted Scott had no explanation as to why emails had been ignored etc ... Please do not use this company, disgusting, unethical company, who are unprofessional and dishonest and should not be allowed to trade. If I was them, this whole issue could have been solved by letting me listen to the tapes, if I was in the wrong they could have showed me, but it would have exposed their behaviour, they seem to do this a lot

Same happened to me. Got charged £600 for a £200 job tops. This lot are jackals and should be closed down. There are so many people they stole from like this we should band together and start a class action suit against them.

Plumbforce Direct callout service

I contacted this company to get a quote and booked an engineer diagnostic visit, the price quoted was £70 plus vat. I was told that the engineer would try to fix the problem if the could or can arrange for a part if needed and come back to install it which would not incur another callout fee. The engineer took one look at the boiler and said it was unfixable. He then made a call and said a part would be £400 and the service/installation charge would be 180 if he came to install the part. He was extremely unhelpful and abrupt. This company is only out to rip people off. I have called around and founderstanding the part needed and the labour for £160 plus vat. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Plumbforce Direct misleading sales pitch for boiler

On May 9, 2016 Engineer from Plumbforce Direct came to inspect my boiler as hot water wasn't working. He said I needed a new one, called his controller talked about how I would receive/have installed a bosh worrester boiler, with a 7-year warranty (this part was mentioned several times, even upon installation on May 16), along with readings for carbon monoxide for £2, 878. He kept mentioning on the phone what a great deal this was. But it was all hurry/hurry and next thing I know I have an Ideal boiler, with a 2 year warranty. My fault for thinking they were good for their word and not double-checking that things were written down. I felt taken advantage of.

Plumbforce Direct fraud and cheating

I on 28 of april tried to find a good plumber to my property in barking and I searched the net to find one, my bad luck lead me to plumbforce direct a lady on the phone called sylvie gave me a very nice talk and there are no commitment what so ever and as the web site says
No hidden cost
No suprises
No call out
She said if the team arrive they will try to fix the problem, if they did well and good and the charges are £85 and if it needs to be changes then will be the cost of the parts and workmanship cost and this is to your consent if you don't accept no call out fees
She gave me an appointment on 29
The team came and I told them the problem of the main water valve can be fixed only if it is changed, now no work was done at all, it was only discussion, I asked the team how much would that cost they said only sylvie can give a quotation, she called me after 10 minutes and said the cost is £ 185 plus vat
I told her am a mechanical engineer and this exaggerated thank you. She said you don't want my team to do the job I said no thank you and then the team left. After 10 minutes a guy came and gave me an invoice for £85 I asked why he said sylvie told him to issue an invoice, the man was polite he opolgyed and told me he is a worker and he knows it was not fair but he can't do a thing. Now she is calling and send me letters saying she will take to court. I talked to my solicitor and he told me as long as no written agreement do not pay.
This inconvenience had trigger my mienere decease and I feel drowsiness and vertigo and I am trying to assess all my medical cost and bills caused by sylvia and ask for £ 10000 as a compensation if she don't stop her harassment
I warn any body to deal with plumbforce and should be black listed and sylvie should be standing in court for cheating on business and making harassment to good clients, I have been told by her staff that they are ready to witness

Plumbforce Direct boiler issue

if anyone is considering using this company for anything. DON'T! i had someone come over to have a look at my boiler as the heating was not working. he arrived late, with no tools and asked if i had tools he could use? he then asked for my card details and called his boss reading out my card number over the phone which is illegal. I was quoted over £3000 and told my boiler was too old for repair and that it needed replacing... two days later i called another company and the boiler was fixed within minutes...

Plumbforce Direct misleading diagnosis

I called out this company on 14th August because I didnt know how to set my new boiler, which kept losing pressure. Two men came, had a cursory look and insisted it would be a major job, as there had to be a leak under my (brand new) wood flooring, meaning a 1K plus bill. For this opinion they charged me £90. The next day I called in the original plumber and he made a small adjustment and the system is now working perfectly. I then called Plumbforcedirect to complain - they said someone would be right back to me - I heard nothing and today tried again - was again told someone would get back to me without delay... DO NOT USE PLUMBFORCEDIRECT Their phone people are charming, but their 'engineers' are bogus.

Plumbforce Direct useless

Unaware of the reputation of this company I rang them to send me a plumber to help me fix a new shower. Their website looked very professionaI. I just need it someone to help me to fit it as I was having problems doing it myself. They quoted me 75 pounds plus vat. I agreed. On the day they guy they sent he couldn't fit the shower himself as he "didn't know". He told me to go to a plumber's merchant to get some advise on how to find a connection adapter to fit the shower because apparantly the shower I bought was supposed to be connected to a back plate which is not supplied in the box. He quoted me to fix the back plate behind the wall an astonishing £450. I refused the quote obviously and then he wrote a receipt for £75 +vat (£95) for his time there. The time was like 45 minutes in which the only job he did was unscrew the shower from the wall. Literally undo 2 nuts. That was it and then trying to work out how to fit the shower and endless trips to the van. The he got really upset when I questioned why I should pay him when he didn't do the job. He told me things like "this is how things are done in this country" "it would be madness if people didn't pay for things" "he'd get a nervous breakdown if I didn't pay him" and that I was making him very stressed. To avoid conflict in my doorstep I paid him the £90. So all in all I paid him £90 for nothing. Absolute rubbish plumbforce. Avoid at all cost!

Plumbforce Direct did not fix fault, offered a refund, took card details and then changed their mind!!

Beware of this company! Worst company I have ever dealt with.
I called this company on a Thursday afternoon about a blocked waste pipe. We agreed a fixed price to solve the problem. They said they'd send someone out for 8-9am the next day. Nobody arrived. I called them and they said they couldn't locate the engineer but would call me back in 10 mins with an update. This happened all throughout the day but not once did they call back (Scott is the least sincere customer services person I've ever dealt with). I had to repeatedly call until I was told at around 3pm he was not coming due to an emergency but would attend the next day between 8-9am. This time he arrived at 11am with no apology. The plumber was here for no more than 5-10 mins. He said he'd fixed the problem. I asked for evidence of this (and although the sink was off the wall simply pouring water down the pipe would have worked). The plumber said he'd been doing the work for 30 years and it was fixed. He then left. The next day the sink was attached and the blockage was the same as before!

I called Scott back in customer services. He offered me a refund and took my card details. Said he was getting an autorisation code and would call back. He didn't call back. I called him after I had the work done by another reputable company and Scott said he wasn't processing the refund as the work had been done! Tried to escalate the issue but he just gave me his email address to complain to and his boss Sylvie (who is equally incompetent and never calls back!).

I really strongly advise you do not use this company. Worse company ever. Actual outright liars.
