I purchased via paypal with Kevin Olinger at playactioncustoms 5 Dallas Cowboys figures on 9/2/2013 for $375.00. PayPal can only dispute a claim within 45 days of purchase. Kevin string you along with stories that he is having issues with decals or matching the ink so that the 45 days expires after he has your money. As of 12/20/2103 I still have no product and Kevin doesn't return my emails.

He is scam artist and do not do business with him unless you like throwing your money away

I received my Custom Sean Taylor McFarlane figure a few weeks ago (Oct. 2015) and I’m still smiling ear to ear! Kevin of Play Action Customs has been nothing but professional and attentive when it came to my order. He always replied to my emails and has been straight forward with the progress of my figure. Needless to say his work is beautiful, absolutely beautiful! The amount of meticulous detail that went into my piece is ridiculous! I love it! If you are the impatient type and don’t get the concept of creating a “handmade”, “hand painted” custom figure, custom figures may not be for you as it will take time. And although it does take time, you will be well rewarded for your wait. I will be ordering from Kevin and Play Action Customs in the future.

On January 24 2012 I sent a request for a customised 6" McFarlane figure of mercurial special teams kick return/running back/slot receiver Eric Metcalf, mustachioed swashbuckling megastar of the indomitable Cleveland Browns - and some other less important teams, via the quote request on http://playactioncustoms.com . Kevin Olinger, mercurial and possibly mustachioed swindler replied the next day via email, thanking me for my enquiry, providing a quote and suggestions for weathering i.e. mud and grass stains - even though Eric Metcalf was too AWESOME to get tackled and ergo dirty, information on shipping to Australia and even how it might be more practicable (regarding the shipping costs) to order OTHER figures at the same time - providing me with discount rates for multiples up to 11! BLESS his cotton socks. Then again the more i think about it NOWwwww... Kevin may have been more interested in purchasing mutiple cotton SOCKS for himSELF...and perhaps suggestions to limit the impact of shipping costs was only faux concern...an up-sell if you will, you know like if I'd 'like fries with my figurine'...or lickety split MAYbe it was his way of trying to defraud me out of eLEVEN hundred dollars! Oh Kevin you character.

Kevin finished with "Please let me know if you have any questions or if you would like a quote for another player or players, or if you would like an invoice via paypal." That's verbatim by the way, I know this because I just copied and pasted it from his original email, in fact I still have the entire email thread so I have a whole TRACTOR load of information. It's quite a bother jumping from the email to fact check and then back to this extremely detailed report though. At any rate Kevin Olinger of Playaction Customs and I exchanged 12 more emails that day, he was very personable and engaging, discussing the cruel hand that fate had dealt the much maligned Browns, who they might try and draft RGIII or Andrew Luck - naturally the Browns passed on trying to secure either and drafted a 28 year-old baseball pitcher - what do expect from a team who overlooked Aaron Rodgers? We discussed how Kevin's local team was the Panthers but how he followed the Colts, how his brother was a Giants fan, he asked who I was 'pulling for' in the Super Bowl landsakes ALIVE he EVEN asked me about the invoice he had sent, because he was concerned that - *click*, *copy*, *paste*..."Sometimes they are slow" and he was "just wondering." What a nice guy.

We discussed the NFL some more, dARTh Modell moving the Browns and the stupid ravens and how stupid they were, and then the next day (so the 26th of January) I informed Kevin that the invoice had been paid in full, directly into his paypal account. Naturally, I still have the receipt.

I never heard from Kevin again. Despite repeated requests for follow ups.

You would be aware of the notion that toilets flush backward in Australia? Well, that's how I do my forensic crime research. Realising that Kevin was never going to respond, I did a little poking around the world wide web AFTER I'd sent a complete stranger $115 and lo and behold *does kevin from home alone applying aftershave face*, OUR Kevin (that's Kevin Olinger from Playaction Customs) has form. Sorry 'alleged' form and get this: same M.O. - pretty much in every single case. Be affable and chatty, get the money, disappear. He has a rap sheet of 'allegations' longer than pinocchio's nose, which is a coincidence in more ways than one because it turns out Kevin Olinger (from Playaction Customs) is a big FAT (alleged) LIAR.

And this is how I know. A friend of mine, who lives in Alabama with her nicer-than-her sister and her mum and some cats, suggested SHE contact Kevin Olinger under the guise of being a potential client, wanting to commission a Drew Brees custom. At first I was extremely skeptical...I was afraid Kevin Olinger would see THROUGH our ruse, I mean who in the name of hermes thrice GREATEST would want a drew brees collectible? It just made no sense...

But she was sure it would work and i finally relented. She ordered the figure, thought about painting the ceiling beige as she had to bang on back and forth with personable and engaging Kevin, and then when he requested payment she declared (because she's southern see and that's how they say things - they 'declare') she declared "I'LL PAY FOR MY DREW BREES KEVIN (if you even believe i could possibly want one) WHEN YOU SEND MY HANDSOME FRIEND IN AUSTRALIA HIS ERIC METCALF - WHO IS ALSO HANDSOME."

Kevin declared that he had never dealt with anyone in Australia, which made her blink because she had mine and Kevins' email thread right in front of her. It's worth noting here that Kevin likes to use the excuse that his email server goes down a lot, he even has something suggesting it's a bit of an ongoing problem on his website right now, but it's also worth noting that's a current theme throughout other complaints - difficulty with email, not realising people were trying to contact him, you know complaints that never get resolved anyhow. One person even asked him if that was the case to produce photos of the work in progress, but Kevin's work in progress photo server must have been down as well because he couldn't provide that sort of evidence either.

These complaints were numerous, all with the same theme same M.O. same Kevin Olinger over [redacted] (mostly, you can still find others scattered about), a site that is unable to be accessed at the moment. I know Forbes have got their underoos all bunched up about [redacted] at the moment, claiming that innocent businesses are being unfairly targeted by slanderers and ne'er do wells, but what about those who post complaints there with legitimate grievances - like me? I certainly know I"M not making false allegations, I have an email thread, a receipt of payment to PROVE it and I'm DAMN sure Kevin Olinger of Playaction Customs DOESN'T have a proof of delivery OR of refund. So that's why I'm here. Trying to - THREE years to the DAY, get my money back, and to alert others to how Kevin operates. Some of those other complaints predate him stealing my money, and others continue right up until late last year, and Kevin just thinks nobody cares and he can get away with anything.
