writer'slife.org and "several other platinum milenneum brand of companies"
Gets you to pay S&H "only" for "free CD and then makes additional unauthorised charges on credit card. Has similar offers for music, etc. Total rip-off.. Weird person who answers phone (on occasion) with exceptionally bad cell phone service, no reply to email.
Update to original post: was able to receive a refund based on telephone call to company number provided, still it was an unauthorized charge in first place.

two unauthorized credit card charges
I have also been ripped off by this company today (9/22/15). I tried to use my visa card today and got a nasty surprise. They had the nerve to send me two email receipts for orders that I did not place. The receipts don't even say what was ordered. I have sent them an email demanding my money back, but I don't think that I will see my money again from these scam artists. I, too, have informed my bank and had my visa card stopped. I did some research on the web and noticed that Platinum Millennium Publishing and Ty Cohen have a history of ripping people off. It appears that they are skimming credit card information from other places and then stealing from unsuspecting people. Why this company hasn't been shut down is beyond me.

Platinum Millennium Publishing - strange orders on my visa
I have three strange orders on my visa. I called the number provided with the order for this company and the machine answers stating that, "Due to the large volume of calls we no longer have people to answer" One option on the recording invites you to buy more stuff off of the internet web page. Choose option #2 and it tells you that it is not an valid...

Another £19.46 has been taken from my card. I did not authorised this payment. I do not wish to be paying £19. out per month. Will you therefore cancel all payments that you may have scheduled in rhw future. I wish to cancel all of them and hope that you will refrain from taking any more money out of my account.
I take it this is Writers Life. Thank you Kay Millward. I hope you are as quick to cancel the payments as you are to take them.
Hi Kay. Could you please supply us with the email address you used when ordering the product so that we can trace your order and help you with a refund.? You can mail it to support@writerslife.org.
Thank you very much and kindest regards.
I Had the same problem. It is a scam.Once you get the disc after paying S&H I started having unauthorized charges. I receive Social security so when I brought it to Social securities attention "US Direct Express" they said would need to contact the company. I tried and did not get through. The phone was no longer in service. So I found their "Platinum Millennium Publishing" Facebook page. I posted there and it was deleted off of "Platinum Millennium Publishing" Facebook page. I had to replace my Debit card from Social Security to stop having any more unauthorized charges. What this guy does is criminal. He is actually ripping people off. He should be imprisoned for it just like any other low lie ### thief would be.
Good day Marcy,
I can assure you that it is not a scam.
I am so sorry that you were charged for a membership that you did not want.
We do give our customers a trial to our membership when they order certain items from us, and if the trial is not canceled after the 14 day period, the membership does charge your account.
To be totally transparent on all of our order pages you will see a very visible “No Thanks” option that will not put you into our membership, and perhaps you overlooked it.
Again, I am so sorry for this mistake and want to make things right with you in whatever way I can, including providing you with a full refund if you wish.
I would like to try to make up for you not being satisfied and look forward to speaking with you and I hope you have a great day!
