He is literally a trash human being. His size doesn't even matter, but just so you know, he's a manager of a fitness gym yet is so obese he waddles!
He doesn't give a damn about his employees or his customers. If anyone complains about anything then he'll just say "oh well" or "if you don't like it then cancel your membership and get the F*** out!" Yes, he literally curses at customers. But it doesn't matter because as he claims they make so much money the customers don't matter! His employees have to stand behind the counter all day, clean their machines and then basically stand around fiddling their thumbs or playing on their phones(sure that's easy), but they don't get real lunch breaks unless they choose to leave and go eat fast food somewhere, but otherwise, they're not even allowed to sit down at the tables to eat the lunch they bring. Working an 8-hour shift, you're allowed at least one 15-minute break, these teens/young adults are not allowed this, which I'm pretty sure is illegal. His employee turn around is so quick that there are new employees at least every 3 to 6 months.
This dude is barely even at work, he shows up at 9 am, then he goes to the bank for at least an hour(just to make a deposit), then he comes back for 10 minutes, and then goes get lunch for an hour, he walks in with a supersized soda and stands behind the counter for maybe 5-10 minutes. Then he'll spend the rest of his shift alternating from sitting in the office doing nothing to standing behind the counter doing nothing, leaving at 5 pm. (Yes I know this because I'm a former member who spent a ton of time paying attention to the massive [censored] of a manager and I was friends with a lot of the people who worked there

fee billing scam
They boast $10/month. Then you find out three is an annual fee of $39. Ik i guess that's reasonable. However, I signed up for my wife on line and you have to pay the $39 fee via credit card and the monthly $10 has to come out as a month draft from your checking account. So that's what i did. Paid the $39 on credit card then I saw the first months draft of $10 come out of my checking account. On the second month I was charged $39 out of my checking account so i called so they could fix it. Was told that the first $39 on the credit card was a "Set Up" fee and the $39 from the checking account was the first "annual fee". First, what do they need to "set up"? It is simply a scam to get more of your money. They should be honest and say it is $78 ($39+39) to get started, $10 month thereafter and then $39 for each annual renewal after that. But then it wouldn't be a scam, would it? Wife has been trying to get me to join but after this...Nope. I'll gladly keep paying $29/month at planet fitness. Only comes out to $12.50 more each month if you do the math.
several overdrafts
Me and my husbands account has been over-drafted several times. I went and spoke with the manager at the planet fitness near me and she was rude and I also tried to cancel our account but she was also rude about that and didn’t want to do it so we left. I have all the proof the bank could give me of the progress of them over-drafting and causing my account to go into the negatives. I have spoke with someone also in the head office of planet fitness in my state on the phone and emailed him all the documentations my bank told me they could give me but the bank has planet fitness blocked from our account now where they can no longer overdraft. I am so tired of going back and forth anout money that shouldn’t have been taken out, this is ridiculous. I paid my monthly fee and they continued to keep drafting my account twice after that.

Planet fitness has a habit of changing regulations when they wish, first I have been using resistance bands for almost a year at this gym amd now they decide its not accepted and I asked for contract and it doesn't specifically say no bands, I asked them to underline specifically where it states no resistance bands and they pointed me to a line that states "I agree to comply with planet fitness membership policies and club rules that may be communicated to me from time to time, whether in writing electronically, or club signage or verbally. How can you tell a customer that has used bands all this time that now you are not allowed to use them in the facilities. Where there aren't signs saying that.

I am a several year member of planet fitness and just can't not report the poor management of the Middletown NY location. After suffering through the construction last year, which lasted way longer than it should have, the way the exercise machines and men's bathroom are maintained or I should say neglected is unacceptable. For the last 3 days (10/6, 7 and 8 2017) the men's bathroom had no paper towels, the floors, toilet areas were filthy. Mean while the employees are hanging around the front desk. There should be a set schedule to handle these areas throughout each day. Also, the exercise machines have worn out handles, pads, and are missing basic screws and other hardware. This is another area that should be checked everyday to insure the safety of the club members. With the number of memberships I find it impossible not to be able finance these basic maintenance requirements. I should point out that there are certain employees that notice take the time to clean and vacuum. Apparently they are A team and the scrubs or slugs have been working the last few days. The manager should be made aware of these issues so they can be addressed. Please forward this to the appropriate entities.

I went to workout this afternoon expecting to be able to watch Red Sox Playoffs (Norwood Ma. Planet fitness. Wasn't an approved station. The members were not able to watch their team play.
Also no stations were showing any football games.
There are 2 fixer upper stations. Fox news and etc. Why can't we watch what we want.
I have been a member since Norwood MA location opened.
Otherwise I am very happy.

Although I have no direct complaint other than Life's unexpected had changes. i am a single mother of 2 small boys and unfortunately to get a 2nd job, I could no longer put in time at the PF facility as I would have liked. I read online that I would either have to go to the PF in person to cancel or get a certified letter and mailing it. This is very difficult to do for me since I do not drive that way in between jobs nor I live on that side of palm bay. I tried calling and was told the same and now I was charged a $41.78 fee for a gum that I haven't went to since April and cannot go to. I feel that it is not fair that canceling is not made easier and I am requesting a refund for that amount. I had intentions to return once I saved enough money with the 2 jobs but if it is going to be this difficult to cancel then I rather not return to PF.

I had a membership last year and addressed my multiple complaints back then before quiting because of the stores managers lack of compassion or caring. I went in again today to rejoin and was prepared to rejoin until I started asking about my prior concerns. The nice girl went and got the manager who is exactly the same manager. She told me I couldn't rejoin because I caused a scene the last time thats why she terminated me. First of all my membership was up and I terminated it not her. Second of all it was her lack of customer service skills when it came to the remodeling updates she failed to give. Like lack of notice before lo locking doors. Failure to tell us there would be no water for bathroom facilities not to mention water fountains. The machines were always shut down for repairs that took weeks to repair. Imagine my surprise the same person still working there at almost a year later. I would have hoped you would have learned how horrible she was. Yes I did have a few choice words for her today when she started being rude but they were well meant words. This woman has no idea what customer service is period!
Its your company but if there are other complains like mine from others you might consider someone better suited for the job.

I have been A Planet fitness member for 5 years, The last 2 years I have not attended the gym.
I went in today and ask the manager for a refund for my annual members fee. He explained that it cannot be refunded.
So I explained that I understand and maybe we can work something out. He asked what do I suggest and I playfully said a water. He answered by saying "You act like we owe you something" and denied me the free bottle of water. Then when I explained that I would cancel my membership as well as my daughter he rushed without hesitation and canceled both memberships.
I then explained that maybe he should try to handle people better and he answered by saying "You have to understand our turnaround rate is so high. So basically he said I don't have to even attempt to keep you as a customer because you will be replaced. The assistant manager apologized and gave me a printout receipt of both memberships being canceled.
I recorded this whole transaction without his consent. If I upload this to social media people would see how much this gym cares about our business. This was the most arrogant, and rude manager I have ever encountered. He went to great lengths to make sure I knew I was not important.

I am a planet fitness customer on September 25th I went to Planet Fitness- Bushwick location in Brooklyn, NY to work out. At the end of my worker I went to ladies locker and found all of my things have been removed from locker including my lock. I spoke to gentlemen at front desk about removal of my things from locker. The gentlemen stated "Oh they bust the locks". I complained about not having received notice upon entering facility about locks being busted and there are no notices up in the locker room. I asked why no one made announcement in regards to locks being busted. I asked to speak with manager. Manager came "You should have asked for sign to put on locker not to be broken" and taped sign to front desk to show me. I said to the manager " How was I suppose to know this no one said nothing to me when I checked in, and no signs were up in the locker room". Then another staff member says, "Your lucky to get your things back because if it was the other manager your stuff would have been in the garbage". So I am thinking at this point my pocketbook with my wallet, NYS ID, bank card, keys, and cell phone would have been thrown away. I received my things back packed in a clear garbage bag for disposal. I have never experienced anything like this from any other Planet Fitness locations and felt this situation was handled inappropriately by manager and staff at Bushwick location furthermore I did not appreciate the violation of my things being removed locker without my knowledge.

I just rejioned the club about 3weeks ago I workout 3times a week every week.So today I'm on the treadmill this young lady approach me Very rudely I didn't know she was talking to me at first so I take my headphones off and Rudely she say Didn't you hear me I said huh mind you I have on headphones she say you need to put your bag in your car or in a locker I said ok but I always have my book bag with me and no one never said anything so she say it's posted all over so I say ok I have 2mins on here I'll take my wallet out and put my backpack in the locker so she runs and tell some guy he comes not Professional enough to even introduce himself and say you must put it up RIGHT now so to keep down confusion what they were about to do I put it in a locker I come back the girl come back by me and say I told you to put it up I said don't say anything to me please! So I felt affended I got off the treadmill and went to the guy whom I don't know if he is the Supervisor or not and ask him what is her name he say Camilla I say ok thanks so I proceed to the back of the club away from the treadmill where she was she followered me back there with some guy and stayed back there for a min. I come to the gym to workout not for Problems from now on when I come I'm hoping she will not be following me threw the gym as I workout. I'm already feeling harassed today hoping this is the last all about a backpack

I called to cancel my member ship.
i was advised that i need to go in person or mail in a letter.
With email: why not give me the option to email a letter of cancellation.
They have automatic deduction but not option to email a letter.
This is ridiculous, with modern technology i cannot cancel via email.
I am having the same issue and as yourself feel that they make it so easy to have your money taken out of your account. but they make it very hard for you when you want to cancel. That is the part they forget to tell you when you join! I was considering rejoining but have changed my mind due to all this back and fourth and calling my bank to get the annual fee back and stopping my account from further PF charges. This is just way to much.

At the Planet Fitness on Siegen Lane, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on 9/17/20176 at around 11:00 A.M. while I started exercising, an employee rushed at me asking me to pay for the bottle of water I had taken from the refrigerator. I asked him if I could pay on my way out. He said, “no, it has to be paid now.” So, immediately I went out to my car where the wallet was, went to his desk, made the payment, returned to the treadmill, and resumed my exercise.
People witnessing this would have thought that I am trying to cheat $1 water. (The fact is that I pay $30 for house-sitting during the 2 hours of my exercise). There are tactful and sensible ways of handling situations using common sense without overzealousness. Why not put a sign on the refrigerator indicating the price of water?
After the incident, I have not been exercising at Planet Fitness . I have been going to Foxy's Health club since the incident at Planet Fitness. I will return to Planet fitness if acts more friendly and Professionally.
I was under the impression that PF Black Card entitled free water. That is the way I had understood when at the initial enrollment the employee hurriedly said the word “free water” for PF Black Card.
At the front desk, I often observed the customer being treated in a hurry as if the customer is a distraction to the I-phone and socializing activities of the employees. Often, the customer is disposed of quickly and the employee’s I-phone activity urgently returned to. Once, when I asked for help in showing me how the massage chair works, it was done in a hurry with minimal verbal communication. Thereafter, I did not feel like asking for help to show me how Body Enhancement Therapy equipment works. This mode of behavior is pervasive at the front desk of this facility.
Polite and patient communication with customers is essential to promote the image of Planet Fitness as a hallmark of customer service. I suggest that the Supervisor of Planet Fitness at Siegen Lane be given some management training.

I noticed that in certain locations; depending on the neighborhood the equipment is more varied. I used to go to a blink gym but changed to Planet because is closer to my house. I get a better workout when I use the stair master but the location I go to does not have any. I'm a member at the Pelham gym in the Bronx NY. I've visited other locations in NY and NJ and they do have stair master. I'm sure that the membership cost is the same for all locations so why there are so many locations in the Bronx without at least 1 Stairmaster. I would like for you to consider installing Stairmasters at all locations as blink has.

I live in Madison Maine and my membership to Planet Fitness is in Waterville Maine, my drive is 27 miles one way.. I was last in the gym on Thursday 9/14/2017 and there was no sign saying they would be closed on Saturday 9/16/2017 and it is not a holiday, so I don't understand why the gym is closed with a Hand Written Sign saying closed for Employee Appreciation Day, if I am the Manager and i give my employees a day off, i would be responsible and schedual myself to work.. I pay my membership for 3 people a total of 50 dollars per month and I was given operation times and closed times for certain Holidays but I don't see anything about Closed for Employee Appreciation Day with, I might Add no warning, will someone please explain what is going on...

I walked in at 4:20 pm with a friend and I had left my card in the car. Christpher asked if we had our cards out and I said no I don't have mine so can you look mine up. He snapped at me and said not right now. He continued his attitude while looking my name up and did not apologize for this. I didn't think him doing his job was an inconvenience but he sure did. I'm very unhappy with this visit. This is one of the many reasons I should switch gym memberships.

I have Made numerous complaints to the management team and owner about several things mainly the level of music. On this particular day I went to do my workout and was fed up with having to have my headset on up to its highest level and still hear the clubs music pounding in the background.
I asked Dalton who is the manager in charge if he could please turn down the music he was very accommodating and turned it down. About an hour or so later I noticed the music was loud again saw the owner of the club was there and proceeded to ask why the music had to be so loud his was response was it's reasonable to me he then proceeded to argue with me and said this is not a funeral parlor and that he is really tired of my complaints. First of all I am a customer to be talked to and treated the way this man was treating me was unaccceptable .He then accused me of pointing my finger at him and said he is going to cancel my membership and call the police to have me removed. First of all when I speak I tend to talk with my hands not pointing my finger as I was accused of doing so.Lets take it back a little further first of all I have been a member for 6 yrs with Planet Fitness same owner he is very difficult to talk to he is very unreasonable and lets it be known this is his club and does not care to much for the customer or their needs. I filed a complaint on Planet Fitness Middletown Ohio website about how this club treats their customers. I feel this was retaliation to the fact that I posted my complaint because the day I did I saw management talking to and telling customers and they were looking at me in the club it was a very uncomfortable feeling. So as I was saying he told me he is going to cancel my membership and told me I could not workout at any of his clubs which he owns a good majority in Ohio and KY and that he was going to call the police to have me arrested. I could not believe what was happening first of all to be treated This way secondly in front of other customers and thirdly I am a woman who was being demeaned and degraded and this man was harassing me to the point by calling me a liar and complainer and arguing with me a customer. I told him to cancel my membership that there was no way I was going to be treated like this and he did as I was up at the front reception desk he is going on and trying to provoke me into arguing with him in front of his staff telling me he has only had to cancel one other person before me.
When I told him I wanted to contact corporate about what was happening here and that I have tried and couldn't get through to anyone he laughed at me and kept shaking his head saying your lying..Really this owner represents a name of Planet Fitness something isn't right here I have been working with the public for over 30 yrs and would never treat anyone like this man did. Something is wrong with him to treat customers in this way he is in the wrong business. His lack of compassion and concern as a owner is evident in his behavior, I have heard from other complaints of his unethical treatment towards his customers how can this be ok. I finally got through to corporate yesterday 9/7/2017 contacted phone number [protected] and made a complaint to the front desk to explain about what happened to me and I was told this owner can do what he wants because it's his club. I just want the CEO or President of Planet Fitness organization to know this is not ok and there may be class action lawsuits coming due to the treatment customers are receiving at this mans clubs. This man may own the clubs but is Planet Fitness's reputation and name in the media that should the concern. Today I was told to leave the Middletown Ohio club and cancel my member ship. I have been a club member for 6 yrs same owner Mike in Newport KY and Ohio. I made a customer complaint on the Middletown Ohio website over several issues one of which was the music and two the chemical smell from the floor cleaner in which they use to clean the floors during buisness hours. I have complained many times to the Owner, the district manager and the General manager over the issues. First and foremost I care about my health that is why I am at the gym to get in shape and eat right and live a health lifestyle. I have had health issues due to toxic poisining in my life and Cannot inhale toxic fumes and why would I have to worry about that in a gym but to them it was them was just a fabrication and just finding something to complain about. Secondly the volume of the music which is loud I wouldn't complain if I could hear my own music on my phone but when I have to turn it up to the loudest point and still here the clubs music then it's something I am concerned about because I do not want to go deaf in which it does state it's dangerous to listen to music at that level. Today I went to workout and as I always do asked Dalton the manager if he could please lower the volume in which he was accomidating. I then noticed the Owner in and the music was louder when I approached the Owner Mike and mentioned that the music is quite loud he said not It's a decent level and that he's tired of my complaints and that if I don't like it I can cancel my membership. When I tried to tell him that it's hard to hear my music he got very argumentive and got me upset the paying customer he did not care he said this is not a funeral parlor it's a gym and the music is at a decent level hmm I enjoy loud music I love music but it is not at a normal volume and I am tired of having to blair my music on my headset and still doesn't help. He said tough if I don't like it he could cancel my membership I could not beleive what I was hearing. I was so upset I guess I started pointing my finger and he said do not point your finger at me or I will call the police and have you removed from the premises. He then was trying trying to intimidate me provoke me and got me more upset at that point he said my membership is cancelled and That I cannot work out at any more of the clubs that he owns.This owner is a franchise owner under The corporation of Planet Fitness is this what the company belives in treating people this way. I have been in customer service for over 30 years never in my life would I talk to a customer and treat someone like this and then in front of other gym members. I have tried contacting the Corporate headquarters before this happened and could not get through to anyone and he was calleing me a liar and said he does not beleive that and was mocking me in front of his office staff. I did not want to cancel my membership but he told me its cancelled and that I have to leave the premises. I did nothing wrong I did not hurt any body I was just voicing my complaints and I had that Right as A paying customer..All over the club it states it's your planet Fitness well that is not true the Owner is un reasonable and should not be representing Planet Fitness name. I will let everyone know of my experience today at that club on social media, anyone I speak too and consumer affairs. This was the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my life and I will let others know of it. I have been on consumer affairs and Planet Fitnesses website and have heard of the numerous complaints in which people are treated and it's a real shame that this organization does not care about their customers or keeping them and doing what it takes to make them happy. I sure hope I hear back from someone who cares about people because this guy obviously doesn't.

planet fitness black card lounge
So, the Planet Fitness in Lancaster, California is otherwise a great club with terrific staff, this single complaint and their reply to it knocks this particular location to a sub-standard level.
The Black Card Members lounge is kept at a very uncomfortable level. Their is a big sign saying "Relaxation Area." No one, at no time could ever possibly think about relaxing in this cold area (You could literally hang meat they keep the level so cold).
This makes the Black Card area not a welcoming place and many people are considering dropping the up-grade all together. The rest of the gym is at a comfortable level, so why is this area kept so much colder then the rest of the location.
The complaint arises at your Staffs answers to "can you turn down the air please?" Staff claims to not have control over that area. This answer is complete BS! If they don't want to use the area, cut off the Black Card program right away. They have keys to those areas, their must be temperature controls somewhere, use them!
