Planet Fitness unethical behavior/lack of personnel (staff)

On 9/28/18 I was having the first evaluation with the trainer. It was one of the worst experience ever. The "Trainer" Sr. Graciano not even greet us or show us any of the equipment.
He was very rude with my friend, pointing out in a disrespectful manner that she was overweight and even dare to tell her that she will have to get an operation after looking at her.
He did not explain to us any of the equipment or anything. It is a shame that they do not have qualified people, just one "Trainer" for all the people. I don't think that I'm the only one with complaints but not everyone have the time to do it.
After that incident I decided to cancel my membership and went to time and there was no Manager on Site. One staff member gave me a very unprofessional paper to put my information . No one made a call to see what was happening or to have a feedback from me. I received the cancellation by email and when I call the gym and I asked for one of the managers (Elsie as I was told when I asked for her name) did not pick the phone.
From my point of view they (Owners) should be more aware of what is happening at the gym. I do not recommend Planet Fitness (Guaynabo, PR) to anyone .
Very bad experience.

Planet Fitness service in general

I attend to a planet fitness in midland tx this is the second complaint I make, the men's restrooms in this location are always dirty, toilets are disgusting and the curtains in the showers are terrible you can see the mold on them real bad, it's just horrible like I said this is not the first time I try to contact you guys to let y'all know about this situation and nothing changes today I found cockroaches in the showers I can send you pics if you want me to, the workers do anything and everything but keep the place clean you see them chatting and hanging out with the costumers and things like that instead of work which is what they get paid for.
Hope you can fix this before me and my friends cancel our memberships and go elsewhere.

Planet Fitness unlimited massage for black card members

Hi, I am letting you know that the message chair Policy at the Jacksonville NC Planet Fitness has changed. The policy was that you could get 2 coins at one time for the massage chair. They said the coins were coming up missing. So now they will only give you one at a time. After your one coin message is finished you must go all the way back to the front desk to get another one. This is ruining the massage by stopping it half way threw. It also makes people I have talked to say, " I guess they don't trust me, "
I am sure this is not the image that you want for Planet Fitness . I have been a faithful member of the Jacksonville NC Planet Fitness since it opened. I'm afraid I don't want to belong of an organisation that does not trust me. I would really like to stay. I hope this situation can be brought to a positive compromise on both sides.

Planet Fitness customer service

Today I went to work out and to tan. I forgot my glasses so I asked to use a pair of the temporary ones. Matt proceeded to tell me that I had to pay .50c because I already used my free one a couple years ago. I laughed because I thought he was kidding. He wasn't! Matt proceeds to tell me that it is company police. First off who carries .50c into a workout facility with them second off every other planet fitness that I go into always has complimentary glasses that they let you use. Needless to say Mat was very argumentative and very sure of of policy that I canceled my membership today. Tomorrow my daughter and two others in my family will be canceling theirs as well. I'm happy to see that the .50c was important enough to lose 4 membership. Loyal memberships too.

Planet Fitness annual fee

Although I have cancelled my membership I was still charged the annual fee. So, they are thieves in my opinion. They have refused to refund the annual fee because I cancelled my membership on September 10 and the annual fee was charged on September 1. With all that goes on in one's life how are you supposed to remember which day a fee will be charged! Surely there should be a grace period. To resolve this, I respectfully request a complete refund of the $39.00 fee charged.

Planet Fitness how I cant close my or supand my account

I want to suspand my account with use till I am able to pay off my oweing bill as it stands I'm very happy with the little bit of service I did get ... I found every one to be very rude an think they are better then you just because they work their .. In end all I am asking for is to suspend my account till I'm able to pay it all off in full .. To date my account is - 109.99. They try to take it twice every time and I asked for payment to come out on the first of the month or the end of the month not like they have been doing ..

Planet Fitness one employee.

My name is Steve Veresvary, I'm a member since 2014. This morning at 4:09 A.M. got to the facility at 3331 W. Peoria Ave. Phoenix AZ. It was about 6-7 people in the place
so I ask the attendant (Joshua) to turn down one of the celling fens, it was running very fest! I told him I had an eye operation not long-ago, and the wind aggravates it!
He told me the room, where the control is locked! I noticed that a key was in the lock, so I told him, he said he forgot! so I ask him again to please slow it down! he told me that he wont! I said that thus far all other employees turn it down for me!
I could not comprehend why? he said he was not told that he should! I got little up-
set ! so I told him that, it would be O.K. He got upset with me, and I left the fitness center! This is the first time in 4 years, that I run across a person. with an anger!
I could not believe, so I give you folks 15 Days to straiten out this fellow, or I will be going to L.A. fitness! This guy is not good for your Company!
If you need any reference on me! please talk to a gentlemen name CLAY. he knows me enough to know what cine of person I am!

Planet Fitness late fee

My name is Cristie Watson. I am a member of planet fitness here in Jacksonville NC.
I am a black card member. (Card # [protected]) I am scheduled to have my 21.99 come out on the 17th of every month. I usually come in on 15 or 16th and pay cash so my card is NOT debited. I have been late before and accepted my mess up. Well, on September 12 we were hit by hurricane Florence. I did not have power from September 12 to September 20th. I had not been to the gym since. I went in on September 28th to square up my account and am advised that I was charged a late fee. When I brought it to Sarah's attention, her response floored me and made me angry at the same time. It will charge as scheduled. I wasn't understanding why I had a late fee even if they drafted it. After she asked me if i changed banks from Bank of America I was done. I opened my account with Marine federal and have made no changes since. I left and I am definately concerned that I was charged a late fee in the midst of a hurricane much less the cold sided employee acting as if I had control of the weather. I would really like to talk to someone so I can resolve this issue. Please call me @ [protected]

Planet Fitness membership canceled due to an injury and false information/accusations

Membership canceled due to false reasons and instead related to an injury that occurred not on their property. Okay so on Sept 16th 2018 I was walking to pf in Burlington wi and tripped and ripped my toe open really bad in front of the parking lot they share with many other businesses, mind you I was not actually on their property not that that should matter regardless. So anyways it was dark out and i couldn't see how bad i was hurt so i continued to walk across the parking lot and go under the light in front of the gyms entrance. Once I was under the lighting I could finally see how bad the cut was and within about 60 secs there was a puddle of blood pooled under my foot so I sat down on the sidewalk and started to clean it off and grabbed my first aid supplies I always carry in my backpack and wrapped my toe up to stop the bleeding. Then I contacted a friend to come pick me up because clearly I was in no condition to workout anymore. So while I was sitting quietly waiting for my ride to arrive, mind you it was very late which was normal for me to be there this late but it also meant it was going to take my ride sometime to get there about 30 mins, anyways during that time a couple was leaving and the female had stopped and just stared at me and of course the blood but didnt say anything, then a few mins after they left one of the employees came out and asked if I was okay, of course I explained the entire situation and then she asked how long I had been there, not sure why that mattered but I'm assuming that was added to this report I was later informed about upon my arrival a week later when trying to check into the gym, which lead to them canceling my membership! I was told an incident report was filed along with several other in the past and that's why I was canceled and was given an email address to contact someone with any questions and told I was emailed a form about my cancellation. When I asked for a phone number to contact them I was told they werent taking calls that day, seriously? How unprofessional. So anyways later I checked my email and found the email with the attached form. On the form it says cancellation reason "Lunk" and that the last day I had used the gym was on the 16th and it was canceled the next day and that I did not owe any fees. First of all what is lunk? I'm assuming its referring to that retarded alarm and slang definition they have posted on the wall about dropping weights grunting and judging. For one I have never used any of their weights I only use their elliptical and arc trainer as far as fitness amenities go. Second I am extremely nonjudgmental and open minded besides the fact that i very much keep to myself and barely talk to anyone aside from the staff. Second of all I never even had the chance to check in on the 16th not to mention how can they kick me out for getting hurt but not even on their property and then list a separate reason that is false. Third they still charged me for the month on top of it. And to only give me an email address to contact them how unprofessional. Oh and as far as incident reports go, if there were any how come I was never informed about any of them and I have gone over their rules and policies as well and it makes no sense as to what I could have done wrong for reports to have ever been filed regardless. The worst part is that the gym is like my sanctuary and I have a lot of health issues so it is adamant for me to keep up on my health and fitness and I do not want it deserve to of had my membership canceled. I'm a peaceful person who comes and goes quietly not bothering anyone. Oh and last thing I've been trying to find contact information for someone higher up either in corporate or that particular gym ownership and it's nearly impossible to find any information. This entire situation has been incredibly stressful and full of unpleasant unprofessional bs.

Planet Fitness poor service

I am very concerned that the Birmingham (Roebuck) Alabama location is discontinuing their weekly 24 hour service. We were informed by in gym signage that on October 15 the location's opened hours will be M-F 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. We understand that these hours are for this location only. As a consumer, I pay the same monthly service that patrons at other locations, yet the hours are reduced.

Is this practice being implemented based on geographical location, race or socio-economics? Some patrons are stating that the owner does not want to have security. However, security should be at all locations to provide a safe and secure experience for users. Please respond at [protected] or [protected]@gmail.com

Planet Fitness membership

Planet fitness is out of control! I moved over 1 year ago from Jackson Mississippi to Slidell La. I canceled my membership in person at this gym. They continue to debit my account 20.00 per month and today 39.00$. I have written to them, emailed them, called them ! I have canceled this membership Over and over yet 180.00 later they are still taking money out of my account! I am going to be forced to close my bank account of 25 years to put an end to this place taking my money. Outrageous!

I was working at Champaign il planet fitness and when the urbana planet fitness called for the general manager and when he would answer the phone he wouldn't answer it correctly and they would be joking around when they r just standing there and it would be in front of the customers and they let me go without giving me anything or saying when i would get paid and they r really unprofessional there even though the 123s r the first thing u have to do

Planet Fitness fraudulent charged my bank after I canceled membership

I closed my membership in May 2017, Planet Fitness has fraudulently continued to take my money. I have called, emailed but this company has no backbone so they want answer. Travis Toscano General management for the Martinsville VA area states the ( higher ups ) said no to my refund.
It's not a refund because I never owed them,
This company needs to put back the money THEY TOOK FROM MY ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY
$399.96 is what planet fitness needs to deposit back in my account.

Make a complaint to the BBB and as for getting in touch with anyone from this company ( it’s almost impossible) bc they duck and dodge all the complaints, they are only still in business bc of the money they fraudulently take from people. PLANET FITNESS IS A DIRTY BUSINESS, THEY CANT MAKE MONEY THE HONEST WAY ... Spread the word on how they did you, keep posting on Facebook, any social media, everywhere possible. They have done this to a lot of people ( look at all the complaints online ) You can e-mail me and I’ll send you all the numbers & emails ... collins2013@comcast.net

I had a membership back in 2009 I have not been able to take Advantage of my membership since 2010.Approx: $1800.00
I have previously requested to please cancel my membership.They have been collecting money for over 8 yrs.I believe that if you don't see activity on my membership card that I should not be charged.

Planet Fitness membership

I was under the impression over the last 4 months that my membership has been cancelled because I called in to cancel it. When I got charged $50 for membership and renewal I called to ask how this happened and the man said because my membership wasn't cancelled. I was told that the lady I spoke with in May should have told me to come in and cancel. So I was then told that because I didn't cancel by the 10th of the month even though they took my money today I was not eligible for a refund. I didn't even know I was still a member and being billed for it. The guy was very rude and said that it does not matter that I wasn't aware and had not used the service, it's in the agreement. So all in all I will never go back to planet fitness and urge others to take their business elsewhere. Horrible experience and horrible company.

Planet Fitness customer service and cleanliness

I am a PF member have been for a very long time. This crew that's been there for awhile is very lazy! They barely greet the customers as, they are coming/going. They are playing around or just standing around texting on their phones. The locker room / ladies bathroom is HORRIBLE! I have pics of the ladies bathroom toliet paper all on the floor. Bags inside where us women put our personal needs in needed to be changed out! Trash in the locker room needed to be changed out. I do have pics to back up my claim. These employees are bored because, they have no structure there. They are just riding the clock can't wait for their shift to end when it's so much that they could be doing! Wiping downs machines, sweeping, making sure the machines are working properly etc.

Planet Fitness refund request denied

In Jan 2018 I walked into my home location of planet fitness at 4166 Buford Hwy in the Plaza Fiesta Plaza in Atlanta, GA 30345. to request a cancellation. The assoc who keyed the cancel confirmed after i signed the digital pad that it was done. 9 months later (today 9/14) I am at dinner for my mothers bday and i am about to pay my $217.00 tab and my card declines. I call the bank and they said that there was a charge for $194.20 from PLANET FITNESS! I called planet fitness to discuss this with the gym manager Dayja. she quickly declined being able to refund this transaction because she didn't see in the system that i cancelled back in January. I asked to speak with someone higher up and instead of reaching out to her regional so she gave me this general email address - [protected]@pfatl.com. I asked her for the number to corporate and she then stated that they didn't have a number and that this email address was the only way. I didn't believe her so i did my own research. I google searched for it and found the number, which was 1-844-880-7180. I called and spoke with someone named Rosalina whom confirmed that the email address that ... gave me was not an email address that would reach any escalation group or mnger. She apologized and sent an email and she stated that someone will be in contact with me shortly. After an hour I called my bank to see what they could do. They couldn't submit for a chargeback unless planet fitness confirmed the refund. So, we called again to speak with Dayja. She stated that she was speaking with her regional manager Charlotte the moment. We stayed on hold while they did their investigation. When she came back on the line, she declined again. She then stated that the Charlotte will contact me. And she did, from a blocked number. She too declined again unless i could pull up an email from January that came from them that proved i cancelled at the gym. And of course i wasn't able to locate this. It was JANUARY. I had never feel so robbed. Dayja and Charlotte both had lack of concern to help me or work with me without this proof of cancel. Its not my fault that thee associate back in January didnt complete out my cancellation. Thats doesnt mean that I am wrong or lying. I was so embarrassed at my mothers dinner.

Planet Fitness something i'm sure nobody will care about

My name isSarah Mahair. I was an employee until today. This place was absolutely horrible. I'm deaf and have made this incredibly clear to the regional and general manager on an almost daily basis. Ultimately my handicap was ignored and used against me. The "verbal" contract I never heard or was made aware of until after my first paycheck is unfair and that's just a small fraction of my grievances; you also should be aware that the certificate training for tanning bed operations is nothing the protocol is the manager signs you up gives you the answers and have you insert them. Planet Fitness new staff

At first, my experience at the N. Sardis Road, Charlotte, NC fitness center was good. Then they changed staff and began implementing strict new rules about scanning in as one enters. One used to be able to scan their own card if the staff was occupied or undermanned. No longer. Now one has to wait until a staff member is available to scan them in. No thank you. Found a fantastic fitness center only 1/2 mile away that issues key cards to members that allows them to scan themselves in 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year, whether there is staff present or not. Absolutely fantastic. Good bye Planet Fitness!

Planet Fitness they are terrible to deal with — money grab

I went into the PLANET FITNESS in Irondequoit NY today to get my money refunded for the annual fee that they took from my account 2 days ago.
I stopped going to this gym because I moved it was no longer convenient. I stopped going like 6 mos ago. but was unable to get the fees to stop as I was told I had to go in when the manager was on duty to cancel.
I went in today and said- I am not asking for fees for the last 6 months- monthly fees I only want the annual fee you took without notifying me.
The 2 employees said - no you are not getting any money back for anything. Told me I could wait around for the manager - same story. All 3 were rude and could care less about good customer service and doing the right thing.
I plan to fight tooth and nail with this company to get my 39$ back. It is the principal of the thing. They are not going to take advantage of me - I will dispute it with my bank.
