Planet Fitness facility and rules

Filing a complaint regarding my daughter . I took her into sit in the front with me right in front of me while I did massage chair . I have been a member for about four years . I have seen several kids that are under 13 come and go out of Ashland, Kentucky planet fitness. They told me I'm not allowed to have her in there and I said that's not right and that's [censored] because I have seen several kids in there. The staff said " Yes adults come in and sign their kids in and say they're 13." Therefore the staff knows that kids are coming in and they're under 13 . She wouldn't let me sign my daughter in however. Reminding you that I was not going to work out and leave my daughter in front. Like a lot of the adults do and sign their kids in. My daughter is 11 years old and if their kids are allowed in there than my kid should be also.

Planet Fitness gym

Is it just me or has planet fitness become the ghetto of all gyms! I've been a member here in dallas, tx for about 10 years and it was great, then! I travel a lot for my for job so I get to see more planet fitness facilities then most and sad to say but 90% only care about profit and don't get me wrong profit is a good thing but when you allow anyone playing music loud on there cell phone or grabbing every dumb bell, not putting weights back, letting them take up 9 machines at one time, slamming weights, not cleaning after using and no one saying anything, planet fitness you have a problem and in this case I will judge you! Keep it up ' I have a lot of people that has move over to another gym and honestly I just might take my business over there!

Planet Fitness trying to cancel my account

I've been told, very rudely mind you, that I can't close my account because there is a balance on it. I don't understand how there can be a balance . oh wait. maybe it has something to do with them consistently trying to draw money out of a bank account that is already overdrawn. I've put a stop payment on them several times and yet they keep doing it. I don't live within 50 miles of a branch (they don't allow deposits made from any other atms but their own) I haven't used my account in nearly 4 months because I don't have time. I was told by the bank that I would have to go through Planet Fitness to issue a stop payment. I've already tried that SEVERAL times. They clearly aren't listening so now in addition to the $300 I have in the red from insufficient funds fees from Planet Fitness trying to withdraw sometimes once a month, sometimes several times in a month, there's now a $70 some charge on the planet fitness account itself. I'm tired of getting screwed by both companies and am seeking to close both out as soon as possible. Neither company is getting a dime out of me, they've already taken enough.

Planet Fitness not what I signed up for... changes in billing, programming changes

It looks like planet fitness is dumping cnbc investment information and ticker which I enjoy watching while working out. One of my major reason in my desicion to join this gym. Cnbc placard still on tv. They are replacing it with home and garden tv. Meanwhile they have cnn, msnbc and fox all playing, how much news do you need playing? Amanda the manager said they have received hundreds of complaints. Gym has been open for a month, hopefully your input will make them reconsider there decision. Not sure if this is corporate decision. 1315 main st, windham ct· [protected]. Besides signing you up with cc than making you pay with checking account. Gym is clean and personnel very nice. But if they can not correct programming to original content I will cancel.

Planet Fitness gym

This company does not deliver on what they promise. When i joined they promised me discounted membership for 3 months and that if i introduced a friend i will get one month membership but that has not happened and instead thay are charging me more for the Black Tag membership something that i did not select. i have resorted to reverse my debit orders payments form them so that they can sort this mess out. if i call their customer service departments even the branch nothing is sorted out they all promise to get back but they dont. i am sick and tired of being promised that the matter will be sorted out which is not happening.

Planet Fitness threat

I was taking a shower at the planet fitness in

1210 Broadway, Chula Vista, CA 91911 . While I was taking a shower a lady's opens the shower curtain and walks in on me and ask me am I done I said no and what are you doing in here while I am taking a shower . Then the lady said to me I am going to cut you with a razor . Then I started screaming and pushed her out of my way and a worker comes in and asked us everything okay I said know this lady is threading me while I am taking a shower I was so scared .

Planet Fitness tanning bed

Hello, I am a PL member in pembroke Ontario, I have tried contacting the club in my area regarding my concerns for safety and they did not give me anything but more grief. I used the tanning beds and recieved 2nd degree burns over my entire body, heat stroke, and blistering and now even after wearing goggles I have damage to both my eyes and going through the process of possibly needing eye glasses. I am very upset over this matter and staff did not guide us properly before using the beds. I need someone to contact me regarding this serious matter.

This is absolutely abhorrent. I work at a planet fitness in Vancouver, WA and have many issues with this company being allowed to have tanning beds with zero crew members being certified to actually use the beds. To make matters worse, I've never seen such a high turn-over rate with employees and almost all are teenagers with bare minimum training to do their job and absolutely no training to employ tanning bed services for members. It is honestly a perfect storm of issues that then creates situations just like yours. I'm not sure how the radianse system works in your location but in my location you have to go through a skin questionnaire the very first time you sign up for tanning and after that questionnaire is done it creates a skin type for which there is then a recommendation on our end for the time in which you can tan. But this recommendation quite literally does nothing and means nothing if employees ignore what it's telling us and bypass it by putting whatever time they want. Every instance that a new member is attempting to tan for the first time, I'll ask what time it is they are wanting and if that time is completely unrealistic not only with what the recommendation the system is saying but also with the skin type I am seeing, I'll let them know that I respectfully will not be using the time they want. And this follows with an explanation of why I am choosing the time I am choosing and why they are their's would not be safe for them at this time. Just from the information you've provided about having only tanned one other time, that you burn easily, and from the tiny bit of skin I can see that wasn't burned I would say your time should have been 4 mins max, two mins if the bulbs were brand new. I am so sorry that you interacted with the 95% of employees that work for Planet Fitness who could care less about you or your health. The legal ramifications alone I can only imagine would be very easy to argue in court in your favor especially with the clear recommendations given to us by the system that were blatantly disregarded. Long story short, unless they are willing to certify their employees to use these tanning beds I truly don't believe they should be allowed to have the license to have them in their facilities.

This same thing happened to me! I just left Urgent Care with 2nd degree burns and blistering on 85% of my body, and am in extreme pain. I’ve had to be excused from work for the next several days, which I CANNOT afford. I explained to the employee that I have only tanned once before, and that I burn easily, and he advised me to do a session for 9 MINUTES, which I now know is far far too long. Very dissatisfied and distressed by the whole experience, and now facing the possibility of hyperpigmentation or even skin cancer (Doctor’s words, not mine).

Planet Fitness refunds

September 4th of 2018 canceled my contract. I had had two accounts coming out of my debit card. To be honest didnt get the name of the person who canceled it for me. Okay, was still charged for September and come October the money still came out of my checking account plus a ten dollar late fee charge on both accounts. One account was mine personally the other was my girlfriend. Went into the planet fittness facility AGAIN. Spoke to assistant manager Kim Tuprin on October 5th. Kim stated that she would get the refund for both months back into my checking account. Never happened. Have called at least 10 more times since October 15th and still nothing but empty promises to getting the money back or just a return phone call. The last promise was this past Friday before 4pm. Never heard a word from anyone. Now mind you every time I call I have to explain this to who ever answers the phone only to be told they will leave a message or tell manger. Everyone who works at the planet fitness has to have my cell number at this point. All I want is my money for the last two months for both accounts plus the late fee of $10 for each account for the month of October. Very dissatisfied with this lack of customer experience. The accounts were Tracie Conn and Starr Gilbreath, which originally had Starr's name in backwards.

Planet Fitness my locker cut open.

As you can see by your own sign " Prevent Theft", one is encouraged to secure your locker, unless someone decides it's not your locker and cuts off your lock without any announcement by anyone that is about to do it. Then all my credit cards, license, money, phone, car keys, basically my entire life is at jeopardy. Did they secure it after taking off my lock. NO! When I complained about this, I am threatened, with being thrown out. My wife and I have been members for over 13 years and lucky to say I have never encountered such insane procedure. How do I go back and feel my things are secure with this system in place. I plan to speak to law enforcement about the legality of this procedure. I hope this does not happen to you.

Planet Fitness billing

This was Canton Ohio TJ was manager
I was signed up for a year contract. I quit going to the gym after six months because of overcrowding. But because I signed a contract I continued to have to pay every month and that's fine. But at the end of the year they continued to charge me. Even though my account page on their website States that I was not enrolled in auto renew. So I had to take time out of my life to go into the building to end the contract or send a certified letter. When I went in I tried to show the assistant manager TJ that the website said I did not have auto renew and that I should have not been charged. She didn't care wouldn't even look at it just said not her problem and policy is to roll people over to month to month that why it says no auto renew. So essentially misleading people to take their money when I ask to talk to a manager she would not get one because she said nothing they could do and cannot do a refund because the store doesn't even take care of their own billing it's Thursday party. She had no concern for my issues and had a smug smile and body language thought this process. She has horrible customer service and no business being a manager. Even if nothing she could do she should have at least showed concern for my issue and did everything she could to explain to me why it is the way it is she was just acting like I was a bother. They stole my money and just had no care that they were doing so they tell you on the website no auto renew but manipulate the process to make it month to month to try and sneak the auto withdrawal of your account. Then try and say they can't refund cause they do third party billing. What a scam! All I was asking for is the money they unethically took from me

Planet Fitness employee

A young caucasion employee makes me uncomfortable. It has happened three times. Firat off, the two in the mornings she is least friendly. There should be sexual harassment policies given to your employess. she has long red hair and is on chubby side and wears a shirt 2 sizes too small. When I use the restroom, I saw someone standing looking through the crack in the door. She walked over like she was going away, then came back and watched me use the bathroom. I put my knees together. By the time I came out, she had left. I saw her purple shirt.It has happened two other times. To where I think she goes to the bathroom when she sees me go in. I feel violated. My girlfriend wants to have some words with her. We felt I should submit a complaint. I would come on evenings to avoid her but it's not right. Please talk to your employees about manners. I see her checking me out while I do the elliptical. I was highly upset when she pauses at my stall to try to see my vagina.
Shouldnt have to feel this way at a gym I pay.

Planet Fitness hip abduction machine

I am a member of PF in Boynton Beach. I go 5 days a week and have been for almost a year. My issue is that when a machine breaks down it is weeks, sometimes months before it is repaired. When you have 2 of such machine and one has been out of service for several weeks it becomes extremely frustrating. You not only have to wait sometimes to use the one that is not out of service or there is someone waiting for you to finish. There are 2 machines at the PF I work out at that have been out of service for at least a month, if not longer. What does it take to get these machines repaired? I have mentioned this to the front desk staff several times to no avail. Something really has to be done. Thank you.

Planet Fitness management

My children was in the gym they needed to use the bathroom. Thru general manager. Approach them about being in the building. Told them they need to wait outside. After they address their parents and use the bathroom. I felt that this statement was rude towards the children. The general manager should have talk to me "the parent". About the children using the bathroom and also bring in the gym.

Planet Fitness gender discrimination

I am a member of the Dartmouth, MA. Planet fitness center on 710 Dartmouth Street. Recently i signed up to this club due to great reviews from current members. Unfortunately, this is far from the truth with a manager and trainor who make unprofessional comments about my sexual orientation/gender. In today's day and age we should be able to come together no matter how we gender identify. Making comments no matter how insignificant they may seem have lasting consequences and are burned into our memories.

Planet Fitness unethical behavior/lack of personnel (staff)

On 9/28/18 I was having the first evaluation with the trainer. It was one of the worst experience ever. The "Trainer" Sr. Graciano not even greet us or show us any of the equipment.
He was very rude with my friend, pointing out in a disrespectful manner that she was overweight and even dare to tell her that she will have to get an operation after looking at her.
He did not explain to us any of the equipment or anything. It is a shame that they do not have qualified people, just one "Trainer" for all the people. I don't think that I'm the only one with complaints but not everyone have the time to do it.
After that incident I decided to cancel my membership and went to time and there was no Manager on Site. One staff member gave me a very unprofessional paper to put my information . No one made a call to see what was happening or to have a feedback from me. I received the cancellation by email and when I call the gym and I asked for one of the managers (Elsie as I was told when I asked for her name) did not pick the phone.
From my point of view they (Owners) should be more aware of what is happening at the gym. I do not recommend Planet Fitness (Guaynabo, PR) to anyone .
Very bad experience.

Planet Fitness service in general

I attend to a planet fitness in midland tx this is the second complaint I make, the men's restrooms in this location are always dirty, toilets are disgusting and the curtains in the showers are terrible you can see the mold on them real bad, it's just horrible like I said this is not the first time I try to contact you guys to let y'all know about this situation and nothing changes today I found cockroaches in the showers I can send you pics if you want me to, the workers do anything and everything but keep the place clean you see them chatting and hanging out with the costumers and things like that instead of work which is what they get paid for.
Hope you can fix this before me and my friends cancel our memberships and go elsewhere.

Planet Fitness unlimited massage for black card members

Hi, I am letting you know that the message chair Policy at the Jacksonville NC Planet Fitness has changed. The policy was that you could get 2 coins at one time for the massage chair. They said the coins were coming up missing. So now they will only give you one at a time. After your one coin message is finished you must go all the way back to the front desk to get another one. This is ruining the massage by stopping it half way threw. It also makes people I have talked to say, " I guess they don't trust me, "
I am sure this is not the image that you want for Planet Fitness . I have been a faithful member of the Jacksonville NC Planet Fitness since it opened. I'm afraid I don't want to belong of an organisation that does not trust me. I would really like to stay. I hope this situation can be brought to a positive compromise on both sides.

Planet Fitness customer service

Today I went to work out and to tan. I forgot my glasses so I asked to use a pair of the temporary ones. Matt proceeded to tell me that I had to pay .50c because I already used my free one a couple years ago. I laughed because I thought he was kidding. He wasn't! Matt proceeds to tell me that it is company police. First off who carries .50c into a workout facility with them second off every other planet fitness that I go into always has complimentary glasses that they let you use. Needless to say Mat was very argumentative and very sure of of policy that I canceled my membership today. Tomorrow my daughter and two others in my family will be canceling theirs as well. I'm happy to see that the .50c was important enough to lose 4 membership. Loyal memberships too.

Planet Fitness annual fee

Although I have cancelled my membership I was still charged the annual fee. So, they are thieves in my opinion. They have refused to refund the annual fee because I cancelled my membership on September 10 and the annual fee was charged on September 1. With all that goes on in one's life how are you supposed to remember which day a fee will be charged! Surely there should be a grace period. To resolve this, I respectfully request a complete refund of the $39.00 fee charged.

Planet Fitness how I cant close my or supand my account

I want to suspand my account with use till I am able to pay off my oweing bill as it stands I'm very happy with the little bit of service I did get ... I found every one to be very rude an think they are better then you just because they work their .. In end all I am asking for is to suspend my account till I'm able to pay it all off in full .. To date my account is - 109.99. They try to take it twice every time and I asked for payment to come out on the first of the month or the end of the month not like they have been doing ..
