Planet Fitness equipment

I noticed that in certain locations; depending on the neighborhood the equipment is more varied. I used to go to a blink gym but changed to Planet because is closer to my house. I get a better workout when I use the stair master but the location I go to does not have any. I'm a member at the Pelham gym in the Bronx NY. I've visited other locations in NY and NJ and they do have stair master. I'm sure that the membership cost is the same for all locations so why there are so many locations in the Bronx without at least 1 Stairmaster. I would like for you to consider installing Stairmasters at all locations as blink has.

Planet Fitness closed today 9/16/2017

I live in Madison Maine and my membership to Planet Fitness is in Waterville Maine, my drive is 27 miles one way.. I was last in the gym on Thursday 9/14/2017 and there was no sign saying they would be closed on Saturday 9/16/2017 and it is not a holiday, so I don't understand why the gym is closed with a Hand Written Sign saying closed for Employee Appreciation Day, if I am the Manager and i give my employees a day off, i would be responsible and schedual myself to work.. I pay my membership for 3 people a total of 50 dollars per month and I was given operation times and closed times for certain Holidays but I don't see anything about Closed for Employee Appreciation Day with, I might Add no warning, will someone please explain what is going on...

Planet Fitness an employee

I walked in at 4:20 pm with a friend and I had left my card in the car. Christpher asked if we had our cards out and I said no I don't have mine so can you look mine up. He snapped at me and said not right now. He continued his attitude while looking my name up and did not apologize for this. I didn't think him doing his job was an inconvenience but he sure did. I'm very unhappy with this visit. This is one of the many reasons I should switch gym memberships.

Planet Fitness treatment by owner

Wednesday 9/6 2017 Middletown Ohio club

I have Made numerous complaints to the management team and owner about several things mainly the level of music. On this particular day I went to do my workout and was fed up with having to have my headset on up to its highest level and still hear the clubs music pounding in the background.
I asked Dalton who is the manager in charge if he could please turn down the music he was very accommodating and turned it down. About an hour or so later I noticed the music was loud again saw the owner of the club was there and proceeded to ask why the music had to be so loud his was response was it's reasonable to me he then proceeded to argue with me and said this is not a funeral parlor and that he is really tired of my complaints. First of all I am a customer to be talked to and treated the way this man was treating me was unaccceptable .He then accused me of pointing my finger at him and said he is going to cancel my membership and call the police to have me removed. First of all when I speak I tend to talk with my hands not pointing my finger as I was accused of doing so.Lets take it back a little further first of all I have been a member for 6 yrs with Planet Fitness same owner he is very difficult to talk to he is very unreasonable and lets it be known this is his club and does not care to much for the customer or their needs. I filed a complaint on Planet Fitness Middletown Ohio website about how this club treats their customers. I feel this was retaliation to the fact that I posted my complaint because the day I did I saw management talking to and telling customers and they were looking at me in the club it was a very uncomfortable feeling. So as I was saying he told me he is going to cancel my membership and told me I could not workout at any of his clubs which he owns a good majority in Ohio and KY and that he was going to call the police to have me arrested. I could not believe what was happening first of all to be treated This way secondly in front of other customers and thirdly I am a woman who was being demeaned and degraded and this man was harassing me to the point by calling me a liar and complainer and arguing with me a customer. I told him to cancel my membership that there was no way I was going to be treated like this and he did as I was up at the front reception desk he is going on and trying to provoke me into arguing with him in front of his staff telling me he has only had to cancel one other person before me.
When I told him I wanted to contact corporate about what was happening here and that I have tried and couldn't get through to anyone he laughed at me and kept shaking his head saying your lying..Really this owner represents a name of Planet Fitness something isn't right here I have been working with the public for over 30 yrs and would never treat anyone like this man did. Something is wrong with him to treat customers in this way he is in the wrong business. His lack of compassion and concern as a owner is evident in his behavior, I have heard from other complaints of his unethical treatment towards his customers how can this be ok. I finally got through to corporate yesterday 9/7/2017 contacted phone number [protected] and made a complaint to the front desk to explain about what happened to me and I was told this owner can do what he wants because it's his club. I just want the CEO or President of Planet Fitness organization to know this is not ok and there may be class action lawsuits coming due to the treatment customers are receiving at this mans clubs. This man may own the clubs but is Planet Fitness's reputation and name in the media that should the concern. The customers are who matter they are the most important their voices should be heard because with out us you would not have your jobs or careers. I hope something can be done and that I am heard. Hopefully someone who cares contacts me regarding this matter...Lisa [protected]

Planet Fitness treatment by owner

Today I was told to leave the Middletown Ohio club and cancel my member ship. I have been a club member for 6 yrs same owner Mike in Newport KY and Ohio. I made a customer complaint on the Middletown Ohio website over several issues one of which was the music and two the chemical smell from the floor cleaner in which they use to clean the floors during buisness hours. I have complained many times to the Owner, the district manager and the General manager over the issues. First and foremost I care about my health that is why I am at the gym to get in shape and eat right and live a health lifestyle. I have had health issues due to toxic poisining in my life and Cannot inhale toxic fumes and why would I have to worry about that in a gym but to them it was them was just a fabrication and just finding something to complain about. Secondly the volume of the music which is loud I wouldn't complain if I could hear my own music on my phone but when I have to turn it up to the loudest point and still here the clubs music then it's something I am concerned about because I do not want to go deaf in which it does state it's dangerous to listen to music at that level. Today I went to workout and as I always do asked Dalton the manager if he could please lower the volume in which he was accomidating. I then noticed the Owner in and the music was louder when I approached the Owner Mike and mentioned that the music is quite loud he said not It's a decent level and that he's tired of my complaints and that if I don't like it I can cancel my membership. When I tried to tell him that it's hard to hear my music he got very argumentive and got me upset the paying customer he did not care he said this is not a funeral parlor it's a gym and the music is at a decent level hmm I enjoy loud music I love music but it is not at a normal volume and I am tired of having to blair my music on my headset and still doesn't help. He said tough if I don't like it he could cancel my membership I could not beleive what I was hearing. I was so upset I guess I started pointing my finger and he said do not point your finger at me or I will call the police and have you removed from the premises. He then was trying trying to intimidate me provoke me and got me more upset at that point he said my membership is cancelled and That I cannot work out at any more of the clubs that he owns.This owner is a franchise owner under The corporation of Planet Fitness is this what the company belives in treating people this way. I have been in customer service for over 30 years never in my life would I talk to a customer and treat someone like this and then in front of other gym members. I have tried contacting the Corporate headquarters before this happened and could not get through to anyone and he was calleing me a liar and said he does not beleive that and was mocking me in front of his office staff. I did not want to cancel my membership but he told me its cancelled and that I have to leave the premises. I did nothing wrong I did not hurt any body I was just voicing my complaints and I had that Right as A paying customer..All over the club it states it's your planet Fitness well that is not true the Owner is un reasonable and should not be representing Planet Fitness name. I will let everyone know of my experience today at that club on social media, anyone I speak too and consumer affairs. This was the worst experience I have ever dealt with in my life and I will let others know of it. I have been on consumer affairs and Planet Fitnesses website and have heard of the numerous complaints in which people are treated and it's a real shame that this organization does not care about their customers or keeping them and doing what it takes to make them happy. I sure hope I hear back from someone who cares about people because this guy obviously doesn't.

Planet Fitness planet fitness black card lounge

So, the Planet Fitness in Lancaster, California is otherwise a great club with terrific staff, this single complaint and their reply to it knocks this particular location to a sub-standard level.

The Black Card Members lounge is kept at a very uncomfortable level. Their is a big sign saying "Relaxation Area." No one, at no time could ever possibly think about relaxing in this cold area (You could literally hang meat they keep the level so cold).

This makes the Black Card area not a welcoming place and many people are considering dropping the up-grade all together. The rest of the gym is at a comfortable level, so why is this area kept so much colder then the rest of the location.

The complaint arises at your Staffs answers to "can you turn down the air please?" Staff claims to not have control over that area. This answer is complete BS! If they don't want to use the area, cut off the Black Card program right away. They have keys to those areas, their must be temperature controls somewhere, use them!

Planet Fitness intrusive and unprofessional employee

On Sunday September 5th at 7 p.m. a female employee walked into the men's locker room and informed everybody that it was closing time. The problem is not that an employee came to inform the gym members that I was closing time, the problem is that a female entered the men's locker room knowing that there were men still in there. She knew because she asked if anybody was in there and several men replied yes. As I spoke with her briefly on my way out the door at 7:05 p.m. she Justified her actions by saying that she had to get everybody out and close the door. However at the time, she was socializing with a male individual in the black Room Lounge. I asked the female employee who her manager was and she was very rude to me. My interactions with this employee makes me want to never go back there again to Planet Fitness.

Planet Fitness davis hwy

Hi, I am black card member of Davis hwy Pensacola and be for that in El Paso. There is huge difference between this an el paso. That is 1000 time better.

I requested front desk staff member to give 2 coins for massage which they usually give however this person was rude and refuse that we cannot give. I told him that it's empty and no one using even one massager, he still refused.

My question is that why it is not mentioned anywhere and why normally everybody is given 2 coins. I need to understand what is the issue. I will request you to refund my money because this is not what I expected.

Planet Fitness keep getting charged after cancelling membership

I cancelled my membership and kept getting charged, after going to the club a couple times I spoke to the area manager and she said they will return my money in 5 days, it is been 2 months and I haven't get my money back. Stay away from this thief company and stupid people.
I would like to get people together and Sue this company, it should not be in business.

Planet Fitness customer service

I am a new member to Planet Fitness. I have been to Kingston Pike store and Broadway store. Kingston Pike employees are very nice. Broadway store no matter who is there is very rude. They act like it offends them for them to help you. Each worker has different rules you are suppose to do when being scanned in. Some just scan your card. Others have you sign a clipboatd. I do not care to sign but all should follow same rules.

Planet Fitness customer service

Date of incident - Aug 22, 2017.
Fitness Instructor Julie Eikoos refused to accept me in her ABS class without signing up 24 hour in advance. She had only 1 person to train therefore, there was plenty of spots in class available. I requested to talk to the manager Logan Turner and explain to me the reason why I can not join Julie's class when she has only 1 person in it and multiple spots available. He promised to talk to her later and get me in her classes next time but refused to solve my problem and get me in her class at that time. He did not want to "undermine her words".
It was not the first time when I was denied to join Julie's empty class. I believe, it represents a poor customer services when the member is not even given a good explanation why I could not join it. Poor management decision of not "undermining the words" of instructor.
I can not schedule my exercise time. I go to the gym when a have a free moment. Being a Black Card member, I deserve to have a better service.

Planet Fitness customer service is horrible

Planet fitness location in homestead has the worse and the most rude managers ever! they don't greet anyone when you walk in they hold there own conversations and you pretty much have to bug them for some actual assistance and jus to get checked in to workout. I've had multiple run ins and they don't talk to the customers like they take pride in the company or the customers. The two main managers in the (homestead) location are very very rude, this is something that many people in the gym agrees with. At this point I have had enough and it seems like nothing is being done to ensure the comfort of the people paying to keep the company moving. I shouldn't get get a bad experience from a employee from jus 30 seconds of checking in. Also, last time I was there I was with my wife, and both managers was bad mouthing me and a few customers when they seen the line a little long from people checking in, felt like I had every right to express my honest feelings at that moment, but hat would have done no good, so I'm here now, jus want something done cause I think they don't give a [censor] about the customers or there jobs, and I'm talking about the primary managers not the regular employees they are great and friendly, (if something is not done, I promise I will go out my way to make sure this issue never happens again

Planet Fitness planet fitness/ gym employee

Today I went to the gym to workout when I was checking in I told the employee I wanted to upgrade my memebership to the black membership and so he check in the system and told me you can't workout today because you have the wrong routing number on your account ? But that makes no sense because i'am still paying my bill on time it would make sense if I didn't pay it then if course I wouldn't be able to workout and also I've been going to they gym for the past 4months and did not have a problem with my account Until now I wish I knew the name of this employee once I find out I'll edit this

Planet Fitness gym employees

This one employee named Payton is ALWAYS talking to this one red head, his girlfriend I presume or someone he's trying to impress, but regardless it's interfering with his job. It takes several moments for him to notice guests walking in and needing to scan in, doesn't realize members are waiting for his attention trying to use some of the black card member privileges, and they talk the entire time I'm working out (1-2 hours). She's there when I get there and still there when I leave and she's always in workout gear yet never even touches a machine.

Planet Fitness account charges

I cancelled my account with Planet Fitness by phone and by person in September of 2015 prior to my military deployment. It is now July of 2017 and I am still getting charged. I was told earlier this year that I would be cancelled and reimbursed my money. After not receiving anything I wasn't sure what had happened and didn't even think to continue checking my account as i assumed and trusted it was handled. I then did research and went through all of my statements. I have been charged a total of $479.78 since I cancelled in September of 2015. I am asking for a total resolve in this issue if possible. It's not that I wasn't pleased with my membership but due to my travel for deployment I had no need to continue paying for a gym I wasn't using. I'm very glad I am catching this now as that explains where some of my money keeps disappearing to...and here I thought I just had a bad spending problem. Aside from that, while i was a member at Planet Fitness i was extremely pleased and have nothing but positive reviews for them. Please let me know if there is anything you can do. Planet Fitness morgantown wv site tanning beds

Planet Fitness morgantown tanning beds have been broken, dirty, and full of ants for over a year now. This is unacceptable. There are bug traps in the rooms & the bulbs don't work (same problem over a year now) and/or the music doesn't work. Maintenance and cleanliness are needed badly. See the attached pics - unacceptable. I've been a member for over 2 years and the bulbs being out, the bugs and the dirt and hair in the bulbs of the beds have been a problem since day one. It's really disappointing and disgusting since the site always has a wait and plenty of members. The worst PF gym I've seen.

I CONSISTENTLY SEE SELECTIVE POLICY ENFORCEMENT. POLICIES ARE WRITTEN SO THEY CAN PICK ANY VIOLATION. AS RETIRED IN A DISCIPLINE, I CONSTANTLY ENCOUNTER YOUNGER KID'S ATTEMPT TO CHALLENGE ME FOR "BIG MAN ON CAMPUS" AS IF A TITLE EXISTS. CELL PHONES ARE USED TO "ACCIDENTALLY" RECORD ME AND OTHERS AGAINST MY WILL. IF THE STAFF CAN'T CONTROL IT, FREE UP THEIR POSITION FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN. THE STAFF REMAINS NOTIFIED AND FAILS TO PROPERLY ACT. I USE THEIR WORDS AND HIGHER STANDARDS AGAINST THEM; LAUGHING AT THEIR PANIC. I REMIND THEM OF CONSTANT "JUDGEMENT FREE" TACTICS ATTEMPTED AGAINST ME THEN LAUGH AT ACHIEVABLE LISTENING AND THINKING SKILLS ANYBODY CAN APPLY. I'VE REMINDED THEM OF OBVIOUS SAFETY ISSUES WATCHING THEM PANIC OVER INABILITY TO "COUNTER THREAT". STAFF CONDUCT IS AS IF WORK FILLS IN SOCIALIZING. IT IS NOT BURGER KING, THEY DON'T GET TO TREAT CUSTOMERS THEIR WAY. THERE ARE SOME STAFF I MAKE AN EFFORT TO SCHEDULE MY GYM FOR COMFORT OF THEIR PROVEN PROFESSIONALISM. MOST OTHERS ARE INEFFECTIVE.

Planet Fitness cleaning supplies

Hello Planet Fitness Staff,
Just recent Santa Fe Planet Fitness changed their cleaning supplies to a "simple green" to clean the machines. I just need the old cleaning supplies back because this new product I am allergic to and it is starting to give me asthma. Several of other members have said the same too. Please resolve the situation as soon as possible thank you.

I am a member at planet fitness. I have been harassed I will be joining another fitness organization who is professional this was the worst experience ever. Planet fitness on s Hawkins was the worst please speak with franchise manger immediately before you guys loose a lot more business. They never clean the products like there suppose to they don't help they are very rude avd inconsiderate I'm a leaving the place I can't believe they represent planet fitnesss from stow this embarrassment to planet fitness I'm done with them

Planet Fitness year long contract

I was approaching my last month of my 12 month agreement . I went in and told the employee that as they have now deducted all 12 payments of $20 from my checking account I did not want to renew. she said I still have over one month left and if I cancel now they would have to charge me 58 dollar termination fee so i needed to come back when it was under 30 days.
I said fine and left. now 2 days later they charged me a 13 payment of $20

Planet Fitness burlington wa planet fitness

Hello, I'm putting in a complaint. There was a problem with my checking account so my membership cost could not be taken out. BUT they could charge my debit card $15.00 late fee?! I have talked to all employees at the Burlington WA planet fitness location! I've been charged twice in one month $15.00 charge. That does not go towards my membership! I am so mad and my family of 5 all told the employees we were all quitting our membership if they can not fix the problem. They said oh well! Meaning go ahead and quit your membership we are not going to help you. I need a refund of my money! I don't have money to just throw away. This is not okay! If they are able to charge my debit card a late fee they sure can INSTEAD charge my membership fee to my debit card... This is not okay! Bad customer service. Rude
