Planet Fitness money stolen in the mens locker room.

Money was stolen in the locker room. My husband had money stolen out of his pants. His locker was locked. We asked the manager if we should file a police report and were told to not bother. I do not feel safe at this Planet Fitness in Elyria. The other members of this club need to be notified about the thieves.

Planet Fitness refused membership unless I granted access to my bank account

Went to new Traverse City Location and inquired about membership.
Didn't get far when I was informed they are on probation, and I will
have to provide direct access to my bank account to get a membership !
I asked if I could pay a year in advance either on charge card or cash.
NOPE, We can't offer you a membership without access to your bank account. I said I had been burned before by giving access, and asked again
about a charge card or cash. Again I got rejected! So I walked out!
Complained to the Company HQ, and got a dodge' em reply on how
convienient it is for all the "new to gyms" customers. is this right, they
don't allow membership without direct access to customers bank
accounts! Or its no matter what happens over charge or not we want
the money, you can TRY and get it back later. Can't believe all the people
that so freely give up that access! Went someplace else, no issues.
Passed the word to others in my condo, two others were going over there
but stopped because of that. They also went somewhere else...good!

I don't know what they meant about on probation or new to gym comment. That is how it is at all Planet Fitness. You see the amount of complaints here from people not wanting to pay yearly fee? I can only imagine the hassle if they had to deal with the monetary end on a daily or monthly basis. These people are bouncing checks of $39? Do you think they would actually come in and pay every month? Planet is a great facility, plenty of machines, free classes, clean shower, locker room and tanning/massage 24/7 for $20 @month? Come on now, most tanning alone is $30 a month!

Planet Fitness breach of contract/consumer practice act

Employee Miguel Vasquez and George has impaired acts of Consumer Sales Practice act misrepresentation that they took advantage of consumer reasonably to protect his interest that transaction was readily obtainable. Employees claimed item was left on table that consumer had left in concern of fitness purposes of consumer witness activities of club membership policies.When member attempted to protect those interest employee breach consideration by canceling plan.

Planet Fitness unauthorized charges

After canceling my membership I was charged 3 times, 3 seperated amounts in the matter of 7 days. The charged the monthly fee which was already cancelled and other fees with no explanation. When you go to the facility the employees are ignorant and have no knowledge of the terms they promote as employees and I got nowhere there. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau and attorney general office with my state. I urge everyone to stay away from them for bad practices. The minute you enroll and provide your account information you are doomed.

Planet Fitness gym membership cancellation

I cancelled my membership with Planet Fitness after I was knocked down by a car able to go to Gym.

Now I get a text message saying that my account has been handed over because I owe the gym R700, how does that happen when I sent a doctors letter after I got out of icu.

I lodged a complaint and Pauline Makhubela closed my case without resolving it. Can someone please contact me urgently on [protected]

Planet Fitness service

Just before midnight on 1-25-16, I entered the newly opened Planet Fitness in Hammond, La after ending my shift work at a nearby Emergency Room. Already a customer from the Gonzales, La location I was excited to visit this new one located near my place of work. I was greeted by two employee's, a black male (who was very polite) and a black female (Olivia Tillis). While checking in, Ms. Tillis observed the hospital uniform I was wearing at the time and asked where I worked. I replied by telling her I worked at N***h Oaks Emergency Room, which was also clearly visible on my uniform. Ms. Tillis then stated to me "I hate N***h Oaks." Shocked, I asked why? Not so important were the details of her NON EMERGENCY experience which is mostly my personal stand point for the sake of argument. During Ms.Tillis rant, I began to believe Hammond Planet Fitness was lacking the professionalism and courteousness its customers deserve on a basic level as well as the respect for social dynamics. Amazed at how far out of touch Ms. Tillis was and with total disregard to my personal feelings, I expressed dissatisfaction and informed her I would not work out tonight nor return. Before leaving Ms. Tillis was re-educated on the importance of keeping personal opinions private when it involves professional matters. Ms.Tillis was also encouraged to perform better in the future.

For such a new establishment, I am asking Hammond Planet Fitness to invest further education into staff/customer relations : "The Does and Don't"

Planet Fitness gross negligence resulting in loss of personal property

At 12:30 am on 1/21/16, Christian Evans entered the Planet Fitness gym at 4801 Alameda Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113, depositing his wallet and keys into his locker in the male locker room; he secured the lock and began his normal workout. At approximately 1:30 am, two unidentified females who were not registered with the gym, entered PF and requested to use the bathroom. The clerk on duty gave the suspects unauthorized and non-monitored permission to enter the restricted areas of the gym. The suspects entered the male locker room, as witnessed by Christian Evans (who can provide detailed descriptions). The suspects cut the lock off his locker (premeditation), took his wallet, car keys and house keys, exited the gym, and stole his vehicle. At 2:40 am, Christian Evans discovered his locker had been broken into and all valuables removed; Christian went to the parking lot to discover his vehicle, a 2008 black Saab 9.3, had been stolen. At 2:43 am, Christian Evans notified Elizabeth Vallejos, parent, who advised him to call APD to file a police report.

The non-cooperation of PF staff during the ensuing hours after this incident leave me to conclude that PF is aware of their negligence and are making a concentrated effort to cover it up. Furthermore, details about the clerk lead me to question what she knew or her involvement in this incident. Does the video footage suggest the clerk was familiar with the suspects (she told APD she did not know them)? What does that footage contain that is motivating PF from providing it to APD? What if PF destroys the video before APD ever has a chance to review it? PF is clearly manipulating the direction of that video to avoid it being assessed by APD.

Planet Fitness beware when renewing membership - $99 annual members

In addition to a monthly membership fee, planet fitness (Gym) has offered a deal for the past several years where you pay $99 for the entire year, and no membership renewal fee. I first took advantage of this offer on 12/30/13, and the expiration date on my membership for the following year was 12/30/14. On 12/15/14, I renewed my membership, again for $99, and the month and day of my expiration date remained the same (I. E., expired on 12/30/15). However, on 12/19/15 when I renewed my membership for 2016, my expiration date changed to the month and day I renewed (I. E., 12/19) instead of remaining 12/30. I later spoke with the general manager about this. He said they have a "new (Computer) system" and it changes the expiration month and day to the renewal month and day. He advised that this affects only the $99 annual members. He said that he could not change the expiration date in the system, but that he would make a notation on my account that my membership is good until 120/30/16, instead of 12/19/16. I advised him that the $99 annual members need to be made aware of this when renewing, because this didn't happen last year (Apparently before they got a "new system."). I was satisfied that the general manager took care of the problem without any questions or argument, but I was not pleased that I was not informed of this change when I renewed my membership. So, $99 annual members - if you renew prior to your expiration date, you will lose whatever time is remaining on your existing membership (Or lose it the following year, depending on how you want to look at it).

When I renewed my membership this past year, on 12/31/18, the manager of Planet Fitness told me that the problem of the expiration date changing to the date of renewal had been corrected. He said that when members who have the $99 annual membership renew, the expiration date will not change, regardless of when they renew. I have not had a chance to determine if this is true. I will renew in Dec. 2019 before my expiration date to see if it stays the same.

Manager allowed me to renew for $99 and extended my membership until the end of the month, instead of the date I renewed on.

Planet Fitness staff and cleanliness

The staff at night, often are busy laughing and talking to each other, barely say hi to you, often their back are to you and you sign in yourself. They do not make even a fake effort to care about you and hardly look up when you leave. I always try to say have a nice night but they are busy joking around and on their phones. I do admit, the place is perfect for me as far as close to my home, I can go after work to work out, my machine is always open at night and I have lost 30 lbs with this exercise and great diet. I wish the staff would clean the machines once in a while, they are always just standing around (the night time kids) and not cleaning, there is dust on all the machines, other people's hair bands hanging off the hand bars on several machines, there is dirt everywhere. The only clean part is the part that the members clean off that they touched on the machine.. I feel that each of the machines could just be wiped up once a week, even take 5 machines a week to clean up, We kick up all that dust when we are on the equipment, and then it goes into our lungs, really its not to much to ask the kids getting paid to be there to clean up a little instead up just playing and eating and being on their phones all night. Sometimes I feel like I am interrupting them when I ask for help, when I lost a few things there.. luckily the people that go there are honest and turn them back in for me! thanks to those people. So, just get staff that care to be there, and friendly and don't mind cleaning a little, be proud of their environment. Thanks

Planet Fitness service

I joined planetfitness just gym in BellviIle.I cancelled my contract beginning of september because I was told that I can't transfer to Cape Town, and I was told that by the end of the month it will be cancelled. I asked the just gym manager if money was deducted for august and september, the manager told me that I only need to pay for september, which I payed for. 3rd of October I went to join Planetfitness in Cape Town City Centre. The system still didn't show that I owe money. I had to pay R160 for the month of October in Cape Town gym, but they charged me R340. When I asked them why am I being charged that much, they told me that the R180 is a transfer fee, which myself and the Cape Town manager failed to understand because I wasn't transferred. I called the planetfitness call centre, the guy I spoke to told me that I owe R169 for august(which I was told by just gym manager I don't owe) and he told me that the manager didn't see it that time because their system is slow when it comes to updating the records. So we agreed that the R169 they say I owe will be deducted from the R180 they owe me(this was a month ago). I can't access gym because this thing is still not fixed and now I'm being called by debt collectors saying they have been sent by planetfitness. I've been waiting for planetfitness to sort out this issue, still not sorted and I have a very strong case against them if they decide to place a bad paying record under my name for something that is their fault

Planet Fitness gym membership

Jessica: I did not deserve to be treated the way I was this morning by you! I am not an unemployed beggar trying to get out of a gym membership fee but a recently retired executive enjoying traveling. To dress me down and humiliate me publicly over a $30 charge that I have tried in good faith to pay several times was unconscionable. Each time I have tried to pay it, you have blocked it. As you know: Last year while traveling, Bank of America replaced my debit card along with those of other customers due to a possibility of card hacking. Since I was out of town, I did not realize until about a month later that my gym dues were tied to the old card. I immediately went into my Planet Fitness account and tried to update the card and pay the balance then listed as $20. However it would not let me, so I called and talked to you. You stated it was probably because I did not have my email address on the account. So the next day I went back into the account and changed the card info, but the balance was now $40. So I called you again, and you said the charge was probably for the next month’s dues and that you would credit me $10 so my balance would be $30. But when I went back into the account it was still showing $40 so I figured it may take some time for the credit to show and forgot about it for a couple weeks. I then started getting billed for $40 and called you again. You said I could either send a check for $30 or wait until I came to town. I advised you it would probably several months before I would be home and could you just take out the $30 then and update my account. You said you could not do that. I did not want to send a check for $30 when the website and billing stated $40. It wouldn’t cure anything since I would probably still keep getting billed for a now $10 fee. Going to the gym seemed like the best bet. I came back a couple of months ago and went to the gym to exercise and pay the $30. Three gentlemen tried to take the payment, but the system would not let them. One of the gentlemen admitted this to you this morning. Since they could not take my payment one guy said “don’t worry about it now, your membership is fine”. And all along, Planet Fitness has been taking my monthly fees and annual membership dues out of my checking account regularly as they have in the nearly five years I have been a member. But they couldn’t take this $30 out and update my account. Today when I went in to the gym I was reminded of the $30 fee. I did not dispute the fee, I had just forgotten about it, but I do not carry money, credit cards or my cell phone to leave in the car when I go to the gym due to the frequent panhandlers in the parking lot. I only carry my driver’s license in my pocket. You however, insisted I go to my car and get something to pay the fee. Again, I said I did not have anything with me, but you treated me as if I was lying in front of other employees and customers, making a situation you made bad even worse. I then said I wanted to just cancel my membership and you can bill me for the correct amount owed. You said I could not do that. So I left. When I got home I found out you had restricted access to my account on the Planet Fitness website to, I assume not allow me to remove my bank auto withdrawal info. So I called my bank and had them remove it. You no longer have the authorization to remove funds from my bank for a membership I do not want and charge for services I do not use. Besides, I have moved a good distance from this gym and have only been using it because I like the people. You however have clouded that. Enclosed please find a money order for the $30 outstanding fee. I still don’t understand why you said you gave me $10 credit when your billing shows you did not have the authority to do so? If your goal was to humiliate old people and get them to drop their membership in Planet Fitness, you accomplished that with me. But one day, in the not too distant future you will be old and standing in front of a customer service women in heavy makeup looking down her nose at you with distain. Planet Fitness failure to provide adequate security

I was robbed this morning in the gym, after a 2 hour work out came to get my gym bag with my car keys, money and id, but surprise to me someone broke up to the locker, the lack nor the gym bag were there, reported to the general manager and she said there was nothing they could do as there were signs around the locker room that they were not responsible, they did not offer me to call the police, they denied that the security cameras catch something.

Planet Fitness gym membership cancellation

I was a member of planet fitness for the period of Jan 2010 up to Dec 2012. I've been circling with the issue of a cancelled contract now for over a period of two years and its really sicking that planet fitness is not willing to assist to a point I'm told I have accumulated arrears amounting to R12000 and I nearly fell of my chair in shock. During Oct 2012, I contacted the call center of planet fitness to cancel my contract. I was told by the agent (Trish) that to avoid my contract from going to auto renewal I would have to either go into the branch to cancel my contract or contact the call center. During Dec 2012 I went into the Wanderers and cancelled my contract and a lady at front desk assisted me and she advised the contract was cancelled but I have been receiving call from agents trying to collect because the contract went on auto renewal. Lorrain Nchabeng (admin at Wanders) was supposed to be helping me but she is also not responding to my mails. I'm sick and tired and want PF to do a detailed investigation on this issue as I will not pay this exorbitant amount. I REALLY HATE THE WAY I'VE BEEN TREATED! FLIP MAN...ITS INHUMANE!

Planet Fitness hidden cancellation fee, beware

I will never recommend these people! I came here to cancel after it no longer became convenient for me to travel back and forth by bus with my new apartment location. These people had the nerve to not only to charge me a few of $58 because I have the black card member (which I ironically got for the convenience), but the regional manager of this franchise lied to my face about how it was my fault it didn't read the FINE PRINT because she always read the terms of agreement. What a liar! The fact that she could lie with such ease to a paying customer is disgusting. And you know what I hate to say this but it always the black people that do this garbage to their own. I have never heard of such a fee this high for a gym that's name isn't the east bank club. I will warn everyone I see from now on about planet fitness and their shisty, money grubbing ways. They wouldn't even let me speak to the owner of the place (after they stupidly told me the one downtown would be closer to my Hyde park apartment, so not only dos the regional manager lie to my face but dosnt even know where Hyde park is and its relationship to downtown. Why would I go all the way downtown to work out?!) customer service was COMPLETE garbage.

Never again. Even if they are the last gym if earth, never again.

Planet Fitness bad management

I have never been treated be little by a place of business that I ever had to deal with like planet fitness in new orleans east. I have been a member since February. I go in a regular basic never had a problem until yesterday. I was told that I have not paid since February. I told that's not truth and to call billing to verify it. She stated no and ask for my personal info. I said it so easy to just turn around and call billing. She replied no and tol me to leave.Then ask me to leave and get my personal info. I told I am not giving her my account info. Then after told me to leave..I told her u have no Wright to put me out when they took the money out bank account the night before. She did not care to do anything to fix the problem, but to tell me to leave when I ask for manager.she stated she were and told to leave again.After I didn't not leave fast enough she called the police.the police can and escorted me out in front a gym full of people. I have never been treated, so bad by a lazy incompetent worker like her. I was ashamed people were looking and laughing. she ask like I was treating her. The police understood ever thing, but everyone have a job to do they told me to get a lawyer, so thats what I am looking for anyone know a good laywer who handle these cases in new orleans. The company onwer is no better than the people they employed, so if u want a gym that would hold worker accountable planet fitness is no the place. U olny can email them and no one responds.

Planet Fitness harassment

Many women are sexually harassed at the Planet Fitness location in downtown Salt Lake City Utah. It is harassing in nature for men to choose a machine next to a woman when there are plenty empty ones to choose from. Then to constantly stare at the woman, watching her breasts and private parts while she is working out. Also, deliberately looking at the private parts of himself. When you move to another machine, you are observed by the male staff of Planet Fitness who get perterbed by this and join in on the harassment by constantly staring at you and asking you if you membership is up to date. Many of the female staff of Planet Fitness are obese by at least 250 pounds, have severe acne on their faces, have very low self esteem, and say harassing comments to beautiful and fit female patrons of Planet Fitness like "That makes me so sick I could puke". This is highly unprofessional behavior. I suggest women do not use Planet Fitness especially if they are beautiful.

I'm a middle aged woman that was kicked out of the Longmont Co Planet Fitness on my birthday of all days (Nov 6). I was a black card member who was transferred over from 19 Hour Fitness because it closed. It was an automatic transition to a black card member. I've been a member for a few years now. A couple of weeks ago I was harassed by another member. I was in the circuit room along with this male member (do not have his name) and a female and a few minutes later another female. I was moving from machine to machine following the timed green light/red light but skipped 2 machines because of a sore knee. I caught up to him and (later found out) his girlfriend because they were prolonging their routine and not following the green/red timed light. So I bypassed them and went to the last machine and then was going to backtrack the 2 machines that they were on. When I moved back a machine, that is when he became loud and belligerent instead of skipping me like I had with him. His girlfriend had left the room just before this incident but his voice was so loud that it could be heard across the center and it's a large area. There was another lady in the circuit room that was a witness on my behalf. He proceeded to call me vulgar names and threatened me by saying "I'll get my girlfriend to beat you up". I came right back at him because I could not take his abuse without standing up for myself. I only wished I would have called the police but did not have my phone with me. The staff came back because everyone could hear him and he made it seem like it was at fault when he initiated it. I talked to Isack (last name)the manager a few days later and did not get a good sense of understanding from him and felt he siding with the perpetrator. He also had told my witness that this guy membership was being pulled. When I came back a week or so later, I walked in just as the perpetrator and girlfriend were leaving and I simply (only thinking out loud) as I was checking in, "I'm glad they are leaving". So the employee ran to the manager making it seem that I was being rude to him when it wasn't directed at him and lied said that I said the 'f" word which I don't recall doing. So as I was working out, the manager came back to tell me not to harass his employee. So I said I wasn't directing that to him, just talking in the air and then I said "What a snitch". So then he said "Come with me, I'm pulling your membership". So I get harassed and threatened and I'm the one kicked out, with no hesitation!

Planet Fitness rude/customer service

I experienced a rude person on the phone, her name is norma. I did not appreciate the way she talked to me nor her customer service. I had a few questions, which I felt I was interupting her and she did not have time to answer my questions. I just joined the gym and my second experience makes me wish I have never joined. Yes, all it takes is customer service to make or break the company. The employee should not be working in cs if they don't understand the purpose of with it is and how it benefits the employer. Planet fitness, I give you a 2! Hopefully someone will look into this and see this email as a training opportunity with their employees.

I am confused by the complaint. What was it that you asked and what was the answer you did not like. Just saying that she "I had a few questions, which I felt I was interupting her and she did not have time to answer my questions. " just makes it sound like she was busy and you didn't like her doing her job while you were asking questions.

You also said "The employee should not be working in cs if they don't understand the purpose of with it is and how it benefits the employer. " ...BUT I am not sure what it was that they did wrong?

Based on the lack of information you gave here, I can not say the Planet Fitness did anything wrong. I do think you have a misconception of what BAD Customer Service might be.

Planet Fitness no written rules/selective enforcement

This place has predatory memberships and they lack published membership rules and policies. This enables the untrained, young staff to target people they feel don't fit the mold of a planet fitness member. They harass and attempt to intimidate members who they feel are breaking the imaginary rules which allows them to discriminate when they wish to. Stay away if you value your money and constitutional rights!

Planet Fitness fees after cancellation!

I canceled this membership in Oct 2014 because they wanted to charge me $39 for a yearly fee. I was told the fees were $10.00 a month with no contract. I closed the debit card I used when I signed up a year ago. They somehow got into my bank account and took the $39.00 plus the months since Oct. I have not been to the gym since Sept. I filed fraud charges against them because I did not authorize this charge. They somehow got into my bank account, (I never gave them my actual account number). Be aware of these practices. They won't respond to e-mail, they only call me on the phone and I told them back in OCT to cancel and they assured me that would happen. They have no right to go into my account when I canceled the card and the membership!

i applied for a contract for 2 years with planet fitness it`s has been more than a month that i`m struggling to get my black tagg from the the sales manager and the consultant are not at work when i ophone there to query about this the made 3 deductions all ready but i can`t go to the gym with the benifits they have promised me where can i cancel this or whom can i speak to regarding this matter.
