Planet fitness I did join and was told that yes they had a planet fitness close to hampstead nc and they do not! I moved shortly before > I moved to nc
Also,,, I contacted the manager at the amesbury mass planet fitness and was told the account would be closed due to planet fitness is not in my area! * policy of planet fitness *
Still planet fitness will not stop taking money out of my account! I have put in a complaint to my bank and also spoke to the planet fitness in mass. regarding this issue I am experiencing with this gym!

They just need to stop removing money from my bank account for I have not gone to this gym since oct 2008!

"Oh and there also IS one near Hampstead. It's in Raleigh. Are you telling me you can't drive the fifteen minutes to get there?"

You're obviously not familiar with the North Carolina area, because Hampstead and Raleigh are NOT 15 minutes away from one another. Hampstead is about 2 hours from Raleigh. Wilmington, on the other hand, is a close location and has a Planet Fitness about 20-25 minutes away, depending on the location in Hampstead and traffic. Before you start ripping someone get your facts straight.

You should sue for violations of the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act (FDCPA - Title 15 U.S.C. §§ 1692-1692p). Look specifically at sections 807 and 808 among others. Civil damages for violations are $1, 000 per violation. Also look into violations of your states debt collection laws. It very easy to show that Planet Fitness regularly violates debt collection laws. In you motion be sure to ask for court costs, resonable attorneys fees as well as any punative damages the law will allow.

Okay, first slow down and write in comprehensible English.

Secondly, they cannot close your account for you. If you read your contract (which I have one, so don't tell me I'm lying) it says you must write to them telling them you want a cancellation of membership or go to the club itself to close the membership. Just becuase a club is closed does not mean the members of that club has their accounts cancelled: they in fact transfer them to another nearby club. If you're a regular member, you get transferred to the closest club to your home address. If you're a black card member, it doesn't matter because your account applies to all Planet Fitness locations.

It's not their responsibility to know where all PF locations are either.
