Pick n Pay customer service

I was assisted by a lady called Mashadi at Pick n pay lephalale mall. Horrible, horrible attitude. You do not deserve such poisonous people in your market. I greeted her and she did not greet back, without a que I had to wait for her to finish whateve she was busy with and when she finally decided to assist me I told her I greeted and she did not respond. Mashadi responded to me and said [censor]! I felt so belittled yet so helpless because she gave me bad attitude even before her supervisor. She was told several times that she wrong but that did not matter to her she kept rolling her eyes at me. I felt so helpless when I left, I buy bread here everyday yet I am treated as a useless person she deeply offended me, her attitude will chase customers away. I am done with Pick n pay Lephalale mall. You will walk in happy but leave in alow spirit. Big upss to the people you hire,!

Pick n Pay not open on time

It has come to the point where I have to complain about the PicknPay Centurion Lifestyle centre. The liquor department only opens the doors at 9h15 and then we still have to wait for the cashiers to open their tills. The rest of the store is not better. I had to wait 7 minutes for a supervisor and when he arrived at the till he had a attitude and was very rude to us. The cellphone department is the worst. I waited 30 minutes for someone to help me after the security said he was sorry that the service is so bad. This store needs a manager that can take control of the store. You are loosing clients and money.

I am working in the Centurion Lifestyle Centre and it happens almost every time (between 9:00 and 9:15) when I go to buy milk and have to wait for a cashier to open, all cashiers are normally standing with their cash bags and having a ball of a time while clients are waiting to pay.
The food section is horrific, it has happened more than once that I was sick after eating food bought from the hot food section, I have bought chicken that was still raw and not to mention the salad section, if you do find something there, it is old and not even proper salad covers are used(the bowls are covered with cling wrap, that means that after the first person has opened the salad it is standing open for the rest of the day).

Pick n Pay grilled chicken bought at pick n pay pioneer park newcastle

Good day
Yesterday evening I went to buy a grilled chicken from the pick n pay Pioneer Park. I found the last chicken in the shelf. I asked the lady to weigh it for me and I was told they no longer weigh it they charge R59 99 for all the chicken. When I got home I found the chicken was over cooked and too small for the price. I always buy pick n pay chicken and it was the first time buying such a crispy chicken. My family did not enjoy at all.

I feel it is unfair to sell us poorly cooked food on top of that charging us a flat rate for unequal products . I have raised this before

Pick n Pay empty promises and awful service!

I live in a remote area with lots of plots and the closest shop to me is Spar. On the 9th August, Pick n Pay had a nationwide special for the day which included specials like 'buy two loaves of blue ribbon and get a 6 pack sandwich blocks free' or buy two cokes for R24.

Because there were alot of specials I wanted, I went to the Sandridge PicknPay especially for the specials - just to be told at the end of my shopping spree of over R500 by the lady manager that this special only applies to Hypermarkets, not family stores.

I asked, then why doesnt it say that, when I walk in and where is the next PicknPay hyper?

She couldnt tell me why the sign outside doesnt say hyper or family and she said the next hyper is Woodmead. So what she was saying is, I need to go allll the way to Woodmead after I had especially come to this store and did allllll my shopping. Her attitude was 'oh well', pouted and made remarks while walking away. While I vented in frustration and being ignored, to add insult, she was talking about the whole situation to two other managers, another lady and gentleman, and kept glancing my way and either laughing or the lady manager vented and waving her hands around venting about what a difficult customer she had to deal with. I have never been more offended, uncomfortable or upset in a pick n pay in my life. WHAT DISRESPECT received from a FAMILY store as they are so quick to say when the specials dont apply to them. AND empty promises about specials you can get, but its a lie. JUst FYI I took a picture of the front of the store showing no indication of what type of PicknPay I was walking into!

I think I would rather keep shopping at Spar where everyone greets me with a smile and knows my name because thats the type of service that makes you not care whether they have specials or not. You can shove your smart shopper deals and specials if this is the new PicknPay I have come to dislike intensely.

I then receive a response from Anwar Mooideen on Hello Peter :
"Good day Genevieve,

Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

Kindly note that all adverts specified that the sale was for our Hyper stores only.

We do apologise for the poor service received in store and will address the behaviour of the staff with our Management team. "

I used to be a very good customer of Pick n Pay until the service became awful as if you pay them R100 to just control your tills.
I AM NOT satisfied with the response I have received as I have had enough of getting bad treatment from your staff and getting told that your stock is either on stock or no longer on special or not on special because its a family store as if I am supposed to smell which Pick n Pay is a hyper or supermarket. I will forward this complaint to who ever I need to until I get compensated for my wasted time, money and emotional stress that your staff inflicts on customers. If I have to go to the papers, tribune etc I will.

Pick n Pay meat parcels not packed properly as advertised

Dear Sir/Madam
I would like to express my dissatisfaction at the poor quality of packing the lamb bulk packs. I have bought these packs a number of times and have found that there are 3 reasonable pieces of meat for curry with something like 6 chops and below those they have packed mostly the ribs which are fatty pieces of meat. This is totally unacceptable as these lamb packs are not cheap at all!
Please can you look into this and ensure that you don't compromise on the quality of your lamb packs.

Pick n Pay cash at till

My name is alec manzini I went to pick and pay in mamelodi denneboom and made a withdrawal of r1000.00 and this transaction duplicated, this happened on the 26/05/2017. I went to my bank and only to find that they cant help me since they cant reverse cash at till. They requesting proof from pick n pay that only one transaction was done as r1000.00 is hanging on outstanding authorisations. I am told that they cant find any record of the duplication, all that I need is just a letter that states that I did not withdraw twice, and it seems they are failing to give me that. R1000 is hanging and I cant access due to the incompetencey of pick n pay staff.

Pick n Pay systematic fraud at pnp

I would like to complain to you about a PnP store. It is the Store Parklands ([protected]) Cape Town. I'm pissed off about your pricing and how this store systematically cheats the customers. Yes, I call it fraud. I buy in this store 2-3 times a week. Two months ago I checked the slip after the purchase and I noticed that I paid for an article the regular price, although this article was on offer. At first, I thought it was an accident. But the next purchase I had paid for 2 items too much. From this point, I checked the prices of the items I wanted to buy. At the checkout, a quite different price was displayed. From 10 items, 4 are wrongly awarded. I spoke to the manager and he then gave me the difference. The whole thing has happened 5 times in 3 weeks. Every time I hear an excuse from the manager and get my money back. Here are just a few examples: Ice cream: the price tag was 39 Rand. At the checkout, I should pay 69 Rand. Sour cream on offer for 24 Rand, at the checkout I paid 39 Rand. Today I bought an electric blanket. The price tag was 169 Rand. I paid 249 Rand. That's almost 100 Rand more. If I had not been careful, I would have paid up to three hundred RAND. A gentleman who stood at the counter behind me also complained because he paid too much. To me is that fraud. Every time I talk to the manager, I hear an excuse. But it does not change. Because the manager does not care at all. I believe this in this store more than 30% of the items have a wrong price tag. I do not want to know how many people do not control this and therefore pay more. Since I have approached the manager several times and he is not doing anything, I will publish this letter on the Internet and draw the attention to the fact that PnP systematically deceives your customers. Actually, you would have to reimburse PnP an ad for fraud. I am angry and will only go to Checkers next time. It is time to warn customers against this fraud. You steal your money from your customers. That's needs to be stopped.

Regards

Pick n Pay boots and pants complaint

I am highly annoyed that I pay a lot of money for a product and it is really inferior quality.
I boot ankle boots but the inside has come loose. It was glued inside and when you take the boot off, it scrunches up, and can't straighten it because of the glue. I had to pull it out. This is not acceptable, considering I paid R300 for them.
Secondly, I bought jeggingsski pants, at R189 and R130, to find holes in the crotch area. I am not impressed. You are not cheap with your clothing, so I would expect better quality merchandise.
I would like this resolved please.
Thanks

Pick n Pay bad attitude of managers

These intellectually handicapped people insulted me, humiliated and embarrassed me for not fault of mine! They made a mistake and punished me for it! I'm so angry! The evil woman Hannah abused me and mocked me. They erred, not me. I was doing my grocery shopping and she shouted horrifyingly at me. The manager Riaan was very unhelpful and racist. They had no signage or board notifying customers about a limit so I had taken 5 more than thand what he claimed was the limit. It wasn't my fault as there was no sign or board to say there's a limit per customer. How can a "woman" abuse another woman so harshly? Kindly contact me urgently.

Pick n Pay aggression and poor management

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Today, I visited PnP at Rosettenville and my purchases amounted to R425.00. By the way the first plastic packet that the teller issued to put my light goods ( two bars of face soap and a 1kg Castor sugar tore there and there). Fortunately, whilst I was in the shop. Where's the quality? Even street vendors who issue free packets seem to have a better quality. On finalisation of payment, I asked the teller where my promotional animal card collection was. She told me she had none. I asked when I could get them. she referred me to a counter. At the counter was a man because of his age, I imagined he would be someone in charge. I told him the matter. He told me that they don't have any. I then asked that if I came back another time with my receipt could I then get my cards. He said no because they don't know when cards would be sold. The irony at that moment was that they were at that moment retrieving copies of collectors book to sell but they have no accompanying cards. I then stated that I had specifically come to PnP because of the promotion. Should reverse my purchases so that I can go elsewhere. Yes why don't you do that was the response. This is how customers are taken for granted. I asked where the him politely and calmly where supervisor was. He asked me why I asking for such. I then asked whether he was the supervisor. He was talking to a colleague next to him in the interim in a language other than English or Afrikaans. when the man wanted to know what I wanted. He then told me that I better leave with his body language letting me know that trouble was about to ensue maybe physically and verbally abusive. Being wiser, I left the shop without any fuss.

However, I must add that I have overlooked many inadequacies of this PnP like general lack of cleanliness and tidiness. Recently, I had purchased packaged avocadoes amounting to R35. I could not eat a single one. I reported this and stated my concern about a product that should have been used for fertilizer or animal fodder. I am sure that the animals at the zoo eat even a far better quality than the avocados that were put on the shelves without any shame.

At another PnP outlet not too long ago, I purchased PnP 8kg dog food. Twice the packet split at the counter with contents spewing out. I left there with no apology for the inconvenience and embarrassment I had suffered in front of other customers. Shame on you PnP x 1000 times
Shame on you PnP.

As for aggression, intimidation, disgusting poor and sub grade and pathetic arrogant people skills and lack of accountability.

Here I rest my case

Pick n Pay refund on payment

On 08 May2017, I was advised by Telkom to make a payment via the pick n pay eazy pay system with reference - acc - [protected] trans id - [protected]... which I did. Upon calling Telkom thereafter to reactivate my 3g account I was advised that the payment was not correct and that I was to make an eft payment which I then did, I was also advised to get pick n pay to refund. I then went to pick n pay kyalami and the manager phoned the head office to confirm where the funds were to refund me, he was then unavailable to obtain the correct information after being on the phone for 20 min plus and took my number and said he would phone me back, I have still not received a refund nor a phone call back and am in need of my R 800 refund. I have all the slips and eazy pay numbers available and need to sort this out asap.

Pick n Pay expired alcohol

I bought 6 pack of Smirnoff premix in Hillcrest/Christian Village last year in September when I visited Durban. I drank 3cans unaware after I started feeling funny and checking the expiry date, I realised that the ciders have expired. When I took them back I was treated like a thief trying to scam pick n pay just because I threw the slip away. After I asked them to check the barcode, they realised that I was right, they asked me to fill in an accident report which I filled and after 2months in waiting, I contacted the head office and they were surprised about the complaint because they never received it and why I was made to fill an accident report. They tried to connect me to the store and at first they pretended like they don't know me, the next thing i was told they wanted a medical certificate to show that I was sick and I told them I ddnt go see a doctor, they told me there was nothing they can do about it. And I was told they will get back to me, till today, it's been 8months. They never replied. I tried e-mailing pick n pay, till today, nothing. To make it worse, they never even cared to check if there was never any after effects since I drank from the tin/can. Even worse, expired alcohol on their shelves. Nothing, didn't even care to refund my money. For 8 months. I am even thinking of suing them for what they did to me. Please help.

Pick n Pay extremely poor customer service

I purchased 3 x garden hoses from pick n pay silver lakes branch on 26/04/2017.

Silver lakes branch currently has no stock as I purchased the last three.

One of the 3 hoses purchased appears to have a blockage.

Because silver lakes has no stock currently I requested an exchange from pick n pay faerie glen branch as they currently have stock.

I provided proof of payment plus my pick n pay loyalty smartshopper card.

However the manager at faerie glen pick n pay hypermarket refused to assist and informed us we had to go back to the store where it was bought from to get a refund.

Please explain how this is customer (Non) "service" as I now have to make a 3rd trip to silver lakes in order to obtain a refund and then I have to drive all the way back to faerie glen hypermarket to "re-purchase" the faulty item.

Eagerly awaiting your reply.

Pick n Pay service

On the 01st May whilst shopping at Value Centre, Durban branch of Pick n Pay, my bag was slit in the store and my wallet stolen. As a pensioner my SASSA card was stolen. I had no money to pay for my groceries. I was assisted by a friend that paid for my items. When the manager was approached I was advised that there are no cctv footage in the area that I was accosted. Security was not asked to check if the suspects were still in the store. No apology or assistance was offered.
