Beware of Dr. Young! He scarred me for life, won't fix it, and then tries to make me the bad guy. I refuse to sit around any longer and allow him to get away with this. Dr. Young gave me a face lift approximately one and a half years ago. After healing, I noticed two 3-4" scars on both sides of my temple areas. For 2 months I called Dr. Young to have him fix it. Finally after I threatened to complain to the BBB he returned my call, saying he didn't call me back because of his poor staff. He told me that if there were any repairs needed I would be charged. I saw two other plastic surgeons who called this "Atrocious" business practice, amongst other things, that it is best medicine to not leave the patient visably and permanantely scarred. I filed a complaint with the BBB. Dr. Youngs response was not to fix the scars, or refund the money so I could get them fixed, but instead tried to insult my good name. I used a common business mediator to explain to Dr. Young that what he is doing is bad business, and that failed. Dr. Young told the man that he would fix the scars, but when he called me he demanded I take down the BBB complaint first. I explained that isn't how it works, that you don't lie to the BBB and say the problem is resolved. The problem get's fixed, then you take down the complaint. Then he said "Well my staff doesn't want you here", to which I said "So you have no intent of fixing this", to which he said "I guess I'll contact my lawyer", and I said "You probably should". Dr. Youngs interest doesn't seem to be in fixing the patient, but rather to have the complaint taken down.

I am not one to complain like this, but I'm sick of being permantly scarred. People who see it say "What happened to you"? I have to wear my hair in the most unattractive way, even then it doesn't cover the scars. Dr. Young appears in my judgement to be the height of arrogance, he doesn't seem to think that normal business practice applies to him. If you would like to see pictures of the scarring Dr. Young did to me email me at Z89y7h @yahoo.com

I just wanted to add that I take no pleasure in this internet campaign, but that I have exhausted all other methods with no remedies from Dr. Young, so you could say this is the final straw. I will not stop until he remedies the problem, I paid good money to look better, not to look like Frankenstein. Hopefully I can save some other perspective patients the shame and agony I have suffered under Dr. Youngs hands.

Not true. I have exhausted all traditional first start methods, contacting Dr. Young directly, making a complaint with the BBB. He won't respond to traditional methods, so now I must complain to the Medical Board, and simply keep posting on the internet until the first 10 Google results for Dr. Young have the complaints, perhaps that will motivate him to fix the scars he's left me with.

I would not call this guy a doctor because a doctor is supposed to help people, not harming people because of the money or bad intentions so he can do second surgery to make even more money. off me. He has destroyed my nose and blaming its my fault. he refused to take responsibility. he suggested me to have a second surgery by him with additional cost. this guy was sued by many patients and placed on probation in the past. search his name and practice. you will see past lawsuits and settlements all over the internet. his medical license will be revolted as soon as i file a complaint with medical board regarding what has happened to me. this guy covered up his mistakes by shifting the blame on me and encouraged me to take excessive risks by steroid injections and filler as temporary fixes while i am looking for permanent solution. he has a tendency bragging about his expertise and research papers and awards ..etc. please stay away from this guy. he takes your money and will sure mess you up.

I'm surprised to hear this. I had a great experience. This is what I posted
I do know that all doctors have bad reviews but I'm just talking about my experience. I had some swelling but I love my nose:

I grew up always feeling like my nose was the main issue with my face. People would tell me that they didn’t see what I was seeing and that i looked fine. But I knew changing my nose could be the difference in my look. So I had decided to get my nose done when I was 19. At the time, I was spending time in Thailand and was just taking a break before going to college. I didn’t have a lot of money at the time and felt that the surgeon there was good. After the first surgery, I didn’t like it much. It was longer than I wanted and slightly tilting right. So after about a year I decided to try it again with the same surgeon, since he would know what to do. I think the puffiness and following healing made it look even worse. So I waited to change it. I then decided to go to another surgeon in the Los Angeles area as I was there for a little while. He was pretty well know but I knew that he did everything in the body including the nose. He was a whole body plastic surgeon. After the surgery, it wasn’t much shorter and it drooped and it also had a few bumps and sharp edges in the tip area. It was also more tilting or pushed to the right again. So then my Dad found Dr. Young in the Bellevue area after I came to stay near him there. He was really nervous because I had it done 3 times before. I choose Dr. Young because he seemed to know beauty and he said that rhinopasties were something they did a lot of and he mainly focused on the face area or only this area. I also really liked his pictures of nose jobs. At first it was really swollen, I guess thats what happens when you’ve had 3 surgeries. But I felt like the basic part of it looked a so much better. My Dad said I seemed much happier after the procedure. Although it was pretty swollen I sort of knew it was going to look good. 3 months later I can see that it is way better. I’m so happy with what he did. I look so much better. I have a little scarring at the bottom but its getting better every day. We talked about lasering this area but I’m not too worried and I didn’t even notice this area. I think he was more concentrating on that. Thank you so much Dr. Young. You did great! I’m extremely happy with it and I would recommend you to everyone who needs to change their nose!

I too had this monster work on me. He did a face lift and fat transfer. The first thing that happened was he yanked a tube he had place on either side of my neck and damaged a nerve, so that I could not raise my arm for months. That was the beginning of my year long nightmare. It was decided I needed more fat, so a revision was planned. His P.R. person, had assured me at the consultation, any revisions would only be cost of anesthetic. Made appointment, I am half way to office, he call say he needs to cancel he run into problems with a patient. Second appointment, I wait in his office for several hours. There is a man picketing in from of office claiming young ruined his nose and lied to him. I go back to surgery room, I see he has me on surgery board with Dr. Mulligan as my DR! I complain. He then says it is tool late to do surgery. Third appointment, I show up with my husband and Dr. Mulligan and Young are there. Young now tells me he can not work on me on that day, Dr. Mulligan will do the revision. This man has approximately $14, 000.00 of my money. I feel trapped. From the beginning I told him and all his staff I was happy with my eyelids. Because he did not answer important questions about procedure and because now I would be forced to have Dr. Mulligan do the job I told him NO, I did not want work done on the eye lids. He argues with me for 20 minutes, he know what is best, citing all his many degrees etc. The height of arrogance. Post op I have a mess, He and or Mulligan did what I told them I did not want done. I now have ptosis in my upper lids and retraction in the lower lids and a tumor now growing. By the time I found someone to help me the tumor was the size of a kidney bean. I am desperate to get help. For the better part of a year, he tell me "I can fix this." Then send me to yet another Dr. who he believe "can fix this." Many Drs. would not consider me as a patient with the mess I had. I finally did find an angel of mercy who corrected my vision problems etc. I went back to Young for a last time, to address the fat issues in my face. He told me any more work he would do would cost me $7, 000.00! He also threaten me, being concerned I would sue him. He claimed he had no knowledge of prior work I had done. Any competent surgeon would know I had previous work done. And more importantly, I said NO to any work done on my lids. A class action suit needs to be brought against him. His license needs to be revoked. I recently had stitches he put in my neck removed. My surgeon was in disbelief when he saw what he had done. I am still getting repair done on the work he did. Cost, thousands of dollars.
