I purchased the free pills I got 15 and paid only 4.99 and I was under the impression that if I couldn't take them or they didn't work for me I could cancel at any time they have a number on the bottle of pills and it is suppose to be a 24 7 line but nobody never answers or returns your call if you don't cancel you are charged 149.95 that they take out of your credit card and even if you could cancel they will charge you 49.95. I read the terms and that wasn't in there no where I think it is a scam cause the emails I sent come back every thing I have tried to do to cancel this is a dead end lucky for me I use a green dot card I can close it out at any time and buy a new one and that is what I am doing but still this place shouldn't be aloud to take advantage of people this way and I am doing everything. I can not stop them. I have sent emails to all my family and friends that warn them of this company and they will pass it on to there friends and family the internet is a powerful tool if this company can use it to make money like this I can use it to warn people about them.

I also paid the $4.95, and then a month later they took out $150 for unknown purposes. I did not authorize this transaction. I have called and Ihave NOT been able to get in contact. THIS IS FRAUD, and I in turn had to cancel my credit card!

oh yea. i fell for it too. i tried calling, emailing, and going into their "customer chat" but nothing worked. ended up calling my bank to cancel their charges for me.. but, on the bright side the pills did work for me while i was taking them. lost nearly 20lbs in 3 weeks! side effects were i was up for days with little sleep then would spend almost an entire day in bed when i finally fell out from exhaustion. so, not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing that i got scammed.

I too got scammed for $149 that I cannot afford. I am 65yrs old and need evry penny. I called and emailed to no avail. But luckily, didn't take the product. I never received the "free" trial - just the two bottles that I was charged $149 for. Anyone who wants to buy them for $100, just let me know at ssaamm@earthling.net, or if there is anything that is going to be done against the company (class action suit perhaps?)

I too have been scammed by these people. The same exact thing has happened to me. I ordered the sample of 15 pills and paid the $4.95 S&H and tried them. Didn't care for it, and the next thing I know, they had debited my checking account. I tried and tried to call and never got anybody. That is fraud. If it happens again, I guess that I will cancel my card and get a new one. They should be put out of business for fraud and for a product that does not work as well.

I would be very, very grateful if anyone could tell me whether or not their issues and problems with this horrid company have ever been resolved? I have reported them to the Illinois Attorney Generals office, hopefully something positive will come out of this headache.

The website www.nexgenlabsusa.com/support is NOT there. The same has happened to me. I have managed to contact the company in regards to an "unauthorized" deduction from my checking account. I was advised that I was comitted to one order of $149.95. I accepted that. The company advised me that no further monies would be taken from my account. Let's hope that is true. I have a history of "Pheochromocytoma" and I'm unable to take this medication. I did have good results with the trial. I had a difficult time getting in touch with a "person" but with persistance, I did. When dialing the number, push for "new order"/customer and basically demand to talk with a person to cancel any further orders. They have an 866 number/toll free that I used. I got that from the website.
Hope this helps anyone having problems to contact the company. I sincerely hope that they do not deduct any more monies from my account. I have put my bank on alert NOT to process anymore.

Totally agree! Even when they can be reached it takes a long time and much effort to reach them! I did, and it did no good whatsoever. Whoever heard of a FREE bottle where you just pay for shipping and then even if you cancel it is $49.95 or if you don't contact them it is $149.95? It is a total scam and I am having difficulty with my credit card getting them to realize that it is a scam. They are taking the side of the merchant and not their own customer!

I signed up for their $4.95 "free" trial and even read the fine print which stated that I could cancel at any time. I then tried the product and it made me feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. I tried to cancel, and was informed I'd have to cancel online by filling out a "customer support ticket", which I did. Imagine my surprise when a package with no return address showed up at my door with 2 bottles of this crap. My credit card was also charged $149.00! I tried to dispute the charge, but Nexgen Labs sent a copy of terms and conditions to my credit card company (CapitalOne) that I never saw on their site. Now it appears these crooks are out of business, as their site now reads "under construction". DON'T GET TAKEN BUT THESE THIEVES!

I have been there as well. The only difference is that I gave them hell! I don't know how many emails I sent them because I lost count. But, I do know that I called them every name in the book to get them to cancel and to not charge my credit card. I told them I knew they were fradulent and I was gonna tell my credit card company that I never gave them permission to charge anything. Well, they did take out the $4.95 shipping & handling fee but they didn't charge me $145 like they said they would. I didn't see the hidden terms until after I click submit for the order. What really scared me is that when I tried to email them, I had to set up an account to do so and every time I went to send another email, I had to register again to do so, somehow it never would pull up my 1st account, sounds fishy huh...I told them about that in one of the emails, I think it was the last email. Thankfully, they didn't charge me for anything but it was sad that I had to harrass them the way I did for this crap. And I still have the bottle of pills- and I am so unsure about taking them. For those of you who are going through a similar situation, you have to fight fire with fire with these people. They are relentless in their pursuit to take advantage of unsuspecting people. What a damn shame!

i also got scammed by the lack of the whole truth(149.95) being upfront and understandable. i got the 4.95 (free) trial offer and that day after having a bad feeling about it, i tried to cancel- that same day my account was charged the 149.95, i still have not received the 2 bottles for the amount they billed. i think that they hurry and charge your account before you can do anything about it. now im having trouble checking on my submitted ticket of cancelation. i have just begun to use the internet,so this is a horrible, violating experience for me.

I too have had a charge taken out of my account for $69.95. I ordered the trial of hoodiaphen for $4.95 no paperwork inside the package and then today 12/27/07 there is a pending charge on my account. I have cancelled that debit card and can't do anything with the account until next week after the charge has cleared the bank...

Dear Sonia:

Look through all these threads I believe some user did post their address, but I read their Terms and Conditions and they said "no returns accepted." I suppose you could still use it as proof to get that credit from your VISA card, though.

I just got ripped off myself . I just found out that I had $149.95 charge in my account. Right before X-mas & I really needed this money. This was so unathorized.

The thing is how long is it going to take to see my money? They are using the name of a company, but its not them.

Please refer to all the other complaints on here about the company. If you go to their website they clearly have TERMS AND CONDITIONS. While I do feel for you all, I am clueless why you wouldn't read it? For example, if the sample was "free" then WHY am I being enrolled in a subscription? That isn't "free" You have to be a smart consumer and READ ALL THE FINE PRINT! It PAYS to read & it clearly states that THEY DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS. So I highly doubt that anyone can sue because it clearly STATES in their TERMS AND CONDITIONS what you all are getting into.

You may try to dispute through BBB or FTC to try to get them to refund your money. Next time if you EVER go to a website like that look for their TERMS AND CONDITIONS and READ through ALL of it so you can be sure if you are subscribing to a program.

Pablo.

Now I do feel bad for you all, but didn't you see the terms and conditions on their website?! Here is the website which no one lists:

http://www.nexgenlabsusa.com/offers1/index.html

Go all the way to the bottom & click on "Terms and Conditions" That will always describe if there is something up to it.

It appears that once shipped they will not accept returns. You could try to dispute with your credit card or checking account. Read the Terms and Conditions which I copied and pasted:

I, too, ordered the trial offer of Phenterthin off of the internet and now have $149.95 of unauthorized charges on my account. I cannot reach anyone by phone and have not received any response from the "ticket" that I opened via their website. What can I do to get my money back and to stop this company from defrauding others? Please help. I can't afford to lose this amount of money. I already live paycheck to paycheck and these people have already cause my checking account to go into the negative and as a result, I have incurred tons of overdraft charges! HELP!

These people are totally fraudulent and they are stealing from people online, even when you submit tickets they cancel them out like you never created one. They took 149.95 out of our account since my husband did not read the terms which they are not visible on the site you have to click on it and it is very small on the very bottom, you think you are only paying for shipping cost, NOPE... They put this website out there to take people, DO NOT TRY THE FREE TRIAL it is far from free. and they do not allow you to call them but on our statement it gave a number and the name of the company is PURE ENERGY, not sure if you will be able to reach anyone? Best thing to do is not to bother with them because they are not good people.

I didn't even order Phenterthin. I ordered Hoodia Phen and got Phenterthin. I got the free trial bottle which my husband flushed down the toilet and then later came two big bottles with an even bigger price tag. Just goes to show you have to read ALL the fine print. I filed a complaint and am trying to cancel the AP program but it looks from other people's responses that I won't have much luck. Wish I would have read this site before being impulsive and giving it a try. Very poor ethics in this company.

OH...MY...GOSH..! WHAT HAVE I DONE HERE. TRIED TO HELP THE WIFE WITH HER WEIGHT BATTLE, TRIED TO GET "FREE-STUFF" BY FILLING OUT A SURVEY THAT TAKES F-O-R-E-V-E-R, AND USUALLY COSTING YOU SOMETHING MORE THAN A WHOLE LOT OF TIME TO HOPE TO GET WHAT THEY PROMISE YOU. PAID SHIPPING AND HANDLING CHARGES TO GET "FREE" STUFF. AND WHEN IT ARRIVED I DID NOT REMEMBER WHAT IT WAS FOR. I JUST WENT ON LINE AND SEARCHED THE WORD "PHENTERTHIN" AND FOUND ALL MY SCAM-ED BUDDIES REMARKS AND COMPLAINTS AGAINST A PRODUCT THAT DOESN'T WORK BUT YOU KEEP GETTING CHARGED FOR ANYWAY AND NO WAY IN SIGHT TO STOP IT. SOMETHING'S GOTTA CHANGE HERE. MY THANKS TO SHARON FOR "PURE ENERGY PRODUCTS" ADDRESS. LET'S HOPE THIS IS WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR. p.s. my suggestion to those who use debit/bank cards for internet purchases...DON'T. use a no annual fee credit card with very low interest rate and lowest available credit line and pay it off with your debit/bank account every month. IT'S EASIER TO GET A NEW ACCOUNT NUMBER WITH A NEW CARD.

I got in touch with a supposed representative for Phenterthin. She told me to e-mail her and also give option 1, but the email address was not valid. I hope the one listed in the above complaint helps me more.

If you would like the phone number, it is [protected]. I still cannot believe their best option is still being charged $49.95 for a product that doesn't work and isn't wanted. What happened to a money back guarantee if you are not completely satisfied. What a joke.

So I called when I had to do all this signing to get this "free" deal and found all this scams stuff on the internet. I got threw, I was treated like crap, tried to scare me that I did sign the "terms" which I never saw anything-it was free-right? It was going to cost me 35.00 to cancel or if I didn't cancel within the 15 days it was 49.95 to cancel. I went to my bank, they stopped the transation and said it was fraud and just let them send it to collections-i didn't sign anything. We are suppose to write the BBB about them. We need to stand against these scumballs!

After I received my "trial" offer, I found this site and read the comments. How I wish I had read them before I ordered. Although I went through the maze of phone numbers and websites and filled out the complaint ticket, they sent me the $150 package. I still have had no luck with the cancellation. I do have a copy of the request almost a month ago to cancel --and their response at the bottom of my ticket that they needed my full name, mailing address, credit card, order date, etc. I clicked the next button on their site and they had all of the above right there. These scam artists (hoodiaphen, saveonpills, phenterthin, or whatever they want to call themselves--all the same group) have no intention of cooperating! Don't make this mistake!

I also sent for the 15 day trial and was not aware that they would charge you a cancellation fee of $40.00 (I think, been awhile since I ordered it) if you canceled the order before they sent you the other 60 pills for $149.95. It did not say this in the initial ad. I could not get in touch with a real person to dispute this so I did go to the extreme and closed my checking account so they could not take any more money out for a product I did not want. This company is a total rip off and now I read that the ingredients in the pills are not good at helping you lose the weight. What a waste!

Yeah i realized after seeing a research site on it and i hadn't even got it yet so i am gonna report them to the bank so they will stop the transaction past 4.99 instead of getting a new card. We need to a computer wizard and install a crash course virus into their system.
