Finding out late is better than never. We were walking through the mall when these kids started talking to my daughter about modeling. The idea was great, but after they called us and told us they had a special meeting available with one of their directors, and it would cost us $7500. for a photo shoot. we were shocked. The salesman (oops Director) only chooses special people ( or the ones that can PAY). Needless to say they conned us out of $500. deposit that says we have to cancel in 72 hours. Do I have to warn you that they dont call you back when you want your cash back!
After doing some research we found this:

L. Randall ( there's a prize lol) stole millions from consumers bragging about how they would place models and talent with jobs!
http://www.crimes-of-persuasion.com/modeling/nijah.html

Now the con team is back in action again.
http://whois.domaintools.com/phaze2.com
we got conned and scammed and still cant get our cash!

First of all what its wrong with you people? You think phaze 2 is a scam? Why? Because you all decided to give them your money?Very often is the motheir or fatheir 's dream that their kids become stars then when they don't they get mad.
No one can make you do something that you don't want to do unless they have a gun, so if you let them convince you that your little fat child, sorry about this comment but is true, could become a top Model then is nobody 's fault but yours.

Phaze2 is a scam.
Phaze2 is a scam. The agency takes advantage of peoples' hopes and dreams to become a model.

1st they scout you at the mall. You put your name on a contact information.
A few days later a person calls to give you an appointment.

Upon arrive you will be greeted by the front desk. They will require that you sign in and then direct you to a waiting area where you will wait for hours before you are seen by a sells person.

The person in my case was Joel Tavarez. He will ask to see pictures of your child. He will leave the office to show it to his manager. He will return with good news. He will say that they are looking for children in that age group and there is a lot of work for them now.

He will then show you portfolios and along with it magazine of the children that are on the portfolio. We will stated that each child made up to but not limited to $1, 000.00 a page. He will then give you list of prices for the shoot. The cost ranges from $1, 100.00 to 2, 000.00.

He will then leave the office so that you could think. In the mean time you are being recorded the entire time you are in the office. He will return.

If you select a photo shoot he will advise you to take the portfolio with two different outfits for the price of the one outfit. He will tell you the you will receive 100 of your photo but in the contract he will only write 80 photos.

He will then leave the room to talk to the manager to inform her which you chose. He will then return with good news again. He will say that the manager is going to give you three different outfits for the photo shoot ant the price of two outfit. The cost is 1, 350.00

I you look at the contract closely you will notice that on number 14 it says, Affiliates: "Customers also understand and agree that by entering into this Agreement with Phaze2, there is absolutely no guarantee whatsoever that Model Talent Project (hereinafter referred to as " Model Talent Project") shall select Customer as a potential attendee to the IMTA convention".

If you sign the contract it will state that for a full refund you need to send a certified mail postdate within three days of your execution of the agreement.

They promise to give you prints out of the portfolio and they promise to advertise your photos on Phaze3.com. But in reality they never give you the printout of the portfolio and they give you a CD with pictures of head shoots. You will end up pay 1, 500.00 for pictures you could have gotten in Sears. If you ask to see the webpage Phaze3 they will tell you that only Nichole has access to that. You dont get to see what the webpage will look like because they will not show you.

Phaze2 and Phaze3 are scams to get your money. They promise you anything for the sell but all you get is a CD of over priced head-shoots.

PS. Upon entrance you will notice a large space and some offices with worker not trying to get model jobs instead they are just there to make a sale. If they sale one package to 10 families they are making over 10, 000 a day because each package cost 1, 100 and up.

This place is a total RIP OFF! When you first walk in they sit you in a room with others while a projector plays success stories of well known actors/actresses. Keep in mind that never once did they mention "PHAZE 2" Then you are whisked away into a room with a fast talking con man. BEWARE... At this point your charge card will be swiped or your money would be taken in a matter of minutes and GOOD LUCK trying to get it back...

IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING... DON'T DO IT! IT WILL BE ONE OF YOUR WORST MISTAKES EVER...

P.S. THEY ARE NOT REGISTERED WITH THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU

Folks, there is NOTHING positive by being "scouted" and brought in for a high pressure sales job by not "directors " but by sales thugs. And if you ever do fall for their pitch (whichever is merely a photoshoot), your pic will be taken by amateur photographers who get paid nothing. Its all about greed for the owners, Laura and Vanessa. Vanessa was married to a drug dealer who owns New Faces and Laura should be ashamed of ripping people off because she is married to a freeport cop!

Here's the pic of Gia Sturiale that I spoke about in an earlier post. Is that the kind of photo she's trying to make my daughter take?

Isn't is obvious that Phaze2 employees get on these message boards and write fake positive reviews? There might be a 1 in 100 chance they'll find you work if you are the "perfect model type". Basically they'll take ANYONE just to try and get money. The head of the company that my daughter spoke with (Gia Sturiale) told us to google her, and when we did, some very inappropriate images came up of what looked like she was trying to solicit herself for sex that she loaded herself on Google! I don't want my daughter being represented by someone like that, would you?

The original compliant screams COMPETITOR. Phaze2 has only been open a little over a month. I've seen their "packages"... There is nothing that cost anything NEAR $7, 500.

Websites like this, that don't ask people to validate their claims with receipts or otherwise, are really, really sad. I really hope people will do their due diligence before believing everything they read on the web, for this company or otherwise.

I don't see how it's a scam when they are providing a service you would have to pay for even if you did it with another company. Scams don't give you what you pay for. Lots of kids and adults are scouted by independent agents and companies. You think Ford and Elite and Wilhelmina and IMG find every one of their own models? That's ridiculous.

If you want something for free, why don't you hold your breath while you wait for your big break to come?

Interesting, because a my wife & son went into one of their photobooths in a mall about a month ago for fun, and they called us within 2-3 days. We paid $850 for a photoshoot (which came out great!) and got a call the next day as they had found a "job" for our son. He spent two days (6 hours each) getting pictures taken for a childrens clothiing catalog, and was paid $10, 000.

Apparently he did so well, that the photographer wants to work with him again on another project, so we'll be headed back into NYC soon!
