PetStock Managing

I complained to the manager of Petstock Country Leeton about me having to wait more than 5 minutes to be served when there have been 3 staff members on. 1 was serving which is fine but the other 2 were just sitting in the office, one being the manager and another young boy who I believe just started. There is a young girl and gentleman that have been there for quite a number of years that I don’t have a problem with, they’ll get up and serve straight away and help out in any way they can. When I spoke to the manager about this, she laughed in my face, and that is definitely not a good look or something you should do to a loyal customer that wasn’t happy with the service.

Desired outcome: I would like something done about this.

PetStock Dog grooming

Jess from Sefton Park Pet Stock was my dog groomer yesterday after 3 and half hours I went into the store to check how it was going and saw that my dog has just stated so I watched. What I saw was Jess roughly grab my dog who became upset. My dog then started trying to nip at her hand at this point Jess closed her whole hand over my dogs snout and put her face right in my dog face and was yelling at her, Jess whole attitude was angry, annoyed and frustrated. I spoke to a team member straight away who went in and spoke to the team as I wanted my dog out of there. They finished the wash and dry and I got my dog back I still had to pay for a distressed dog, a bad groom and disgusting abuse toward my dog. Absolutely do not leave your dog there. They dont speak to the dogs or appear to take any care in their wellbeing,

Desired outcome: Acknowledgement of what actions they will take with training Jess.

PetStock Hermit crab and bird care.

To start this off, I do not blame majority of the employees here, as they are unaware.

1. The hermit crab tank conditions are horrible, not only are there dead crabs in the tank, but there's never water in their pools, and there is no temp or humidity gauge as even the horrible Krabooz brand recommends. They hermit crabs have painted shells, which is toxic paint on them that will flake and cause illness. There are bugs in the tank, and clearly very sick hermit crabs. The wrong information is given out about them, too. Very disgusting and I expect better from a petstore which is supposed to treat their animals well.

2. The birds are very sick. The canaries are plucking their feathers, and are on an only seed diet. When I consulted an employee about this, she simply said "Thats normal for them" when it's a sign of distress and illness. Out of all the bird products there, I have only ever found one or two safe toys or foods. The honey seed sticks contain "Clostridium botulinum", a bacteria that causes botulism, a disease with paralysis-like effects and leading to death. Most of the toys contain either foam or cotton, both of which are a choking hazard and a hazard of crop infection.

Desired outcome: A better and adequate hermit crab tank, with humidity and temperature and proper foods so they are able to breathe. Safe bird toys in the cages and proper diets for the in-store birds

PetStock Grooming dog

Hi.
Had my dog a Bichon Frise aged approx 10-11yrs Mason. He was given to us as a baby. As time has gone the groomer where I take my x2 dogs seems to leave cut-fur on floor and dogs out of cages walk thru it. On 30th nov 2020 my dog came back from groomers and has started coughing I went and saw groomer and expressed my sadness. I made it known that if he did not get better I would take him to the vet at their expense as the floors in groin area are unkempt. He is no better. Can

PetStock dog grooming

I have been taking my two dogs for grooming on several occasions. One of which is a pedigree Papillon the other a mixed breed papillon / Chinese creasted. Over the previous two visits my mixed breed had his fringe cut which is not appropriate because he is half papillon and had a beautiful fringe. I told the groomer to please not cut his ears or tail on both occasions. My papillon had his grinch paws and general area cut. I ask if she could leave the top of his paws so they may grow into grinch feet again because that's how the breed is supposed to be groomed. Then today I took them both again and it was very clearly stated yet again that the papillon was not to be cut anywhere other than the genital area (for hygiene) and again asked that the mixed breed not have is ears or tail cut. The groomer, after having never cut the papillon anywhere other than feet and genital area, cut him everywhere. His fridge on his ears, legs and stomach were cut short and his tail was hacked at with chucks missing. She made my show quality dog look like a mutt! I am very angry because this was no mistake. She commented that we were wrong to not cut the mixed breeds ears and not to cut the top of the papillons feet but she verbally agreed not too, and she had never cut the papillon in that manner before. I can only conclude that she was spiteful and damaged the appearance of my dog. We called to complain and the manager while empathetic could only offered a discount for the next visit. Why on earth would I take my dog to be butchered again?. It will literally be years before their fringes grow back!

PetStock manager bullying

On multiple occasions now I have witnessed the STORE manager of the Wagga store openly complaining and insulting her staff in front of and to customers. Her name is Narae and I feel sad for the people that have to work with her. The last assistant manager was wonderful, the new one is blunt and ditzy and often joins in on the [censored]ing.. no wonder so many of the good staff have been disappearing over the last few years the bullying going on is appalling

PetStock pet stock worker selling drugs in car park.

Hello I'm absolutely discussed as I was shopping at your colac pet stock, a worker may have been on her break in the car park next door, I walked out of your shop to notice a exchange of drugs and money with somone. I returned to the store a short time later and her name is " India" I believe.. has a disgusting tattoo on her hand. I'm shocked and disheartened that a worker would be doing this let alone on work time in her u inform is a absolute joke. I will be contacting our local paper to make sure this is pursued further. I really hope she is terminated from this position in the store.

PetStock dirty cage

I go to pet stock Melrose Park very often and "skittles" the bird cage (rainbow lorikeet) is always very filthy. I have questioned the staff a few times nicely and get dismissed he does that himself (rudely). Whilst I understand bird seed around is normal etc this is more than that with feaces spread obviously up the wall behind him, and coated at the bottom. I asked Saturday in particular and was told not untill next week (mentioned in particular after Monday) this would be addressed. This needs to be addressed more often and perhaps a routine of cleaning needs to be drawn up and adhered to. I am always left feeling uncomfortable that he is living in squalor. I will be continuously following this up and reporting to the correct authorities do I not see an improvement. Kindest regards.

PetStock fish - guppies

Hi. I have been breeding and have had guppies for over three years now and I have never ever had an issue. As I thought my guppies were bored of seeing the same fish I decided I would buy 4 more from pet stock in Bendigo. 2 days after putting them in the tank the four I had purchased (definitely the ones I purchased as I picked their colours) had died, now a week later ALL of my guppies are now dead and I have one empty fish tank. Now as I have called pet stock I was told there was nothing that could be done unless I brought in a water sample within a week of purchase, now this is impossible for me to come in during the day unplanned as I work full time and I am utterly disappointed as I am a regular customer and buy everything from pet stock but now as I've lost my money on 4 fish who survived 2 days and not only that but three years of breeding and caring for my fish is down the drain.

I am expecting some sort of reimbursement as I have lost well over $200 worth of guppies due to pet stock not caring after their fish which have killed off my fish I have had for years and some are ones from a relative who has passed so these fish had sentimental value to me. Sounds ridiculous but they did.

I will be putting this on social media to warn others of this situation as I haven't been treated as a customer but as someone who is trying to get some freebies but as I've said 2 for $10, which isn't worth all this debate but due to the lack of professionalism I have decided I will no longer be a regular customer until I am reimbursed for my HARD earned money which I decided to spend at your store not thinking they would be sick and kill my other guppies.

If this is not handled in a manner where as I am reimbursed for my fish that are now dead that I have had for years I will be going above to head office.

Omg so sorry I read your story and I have just had the same experience. I lost 50 plus of my own guppies I have bred over past 15 years. I was given a $20 credit. When I asked for compensation which amounts to $350 of guppies plus multi cure have heard zero. I did not ask for compensation for my time nor my stress and tears over losing all my fish.

PetStock Rude manager!

Recently I have visited one of the PetStock stores and had a terrible experience with their manager. The person was rude and his behaviour was totally unacceptable! He even threatened and verbally abused me! I asked him to calm down and told that I will call the police, but he continued to offence me! I did nothing wrong, just came to the store and wanted to buy some pet food. I have no idea why he did this. I was just walking around and he came to me and started yelling at me! I will never again go to PetStock!

I have contacted petstock twice to delete my rewards account at to have my personal data removed and they can not do this and can not tell me when it will happen due to "high volume of requests"

I used their online chat each time - but no one can arrange for this to happen.
