I got a Multi-Vacation Extravaganza certificate from Perfect Travel Promotions and was originally very excited about the trip, so I sent in my $50 refundable deposit and trying to make a reservation using the 3 days 2 nights portion of the certificate. Upon making the reservation, the reservation agent told me that somehow their hotel supplier cannot accomodate my reservation request at all. I became skeptical about the validity of their certificates and requested for a refund of my deposit, instead of getting my deposit back, they send me another certificate offering more packages to compensate the fact that I could not be accomodated by using their 3 day 2 night portion of the Multi-Vacation certificate. So I thought to gave them a last chance by choosing a package among those they offered.

When I try to make the reservation again based on the new 4 day 3 night package they offered, the reservation agent told me again that I must wait and they cannot make reservation for me at the time but she could not tell me until when will I be notified that I could start the reservation process.

I felt completely disappointed at their service and what they had described in the certificate that I requested the return of my $50 refundable deposit in early Dec 2007. The reservation agent replied back and told me that my request of refund is forwarded to their accounting department and a check will be issued in 30 days.

Well.. on Jan 31st 2008, I requested again and was picked up by another agent and told me the check will be issued in 30 days. Not seeing my refund check in the mail at all, I emailed and called them end of Feb, March and April, still no refund check. Now it's May of 2008, 6 months since I requested the refund and I still don't see the refund check they had promised to return half year earlier. At this point, I realized that they are a complete scam and once you issue them a deposit, don't ever expect to get it back.

So travelers out there, be very aware of these certificates and who you got them from. Since then, I have come to realized that these certificates are sold at ebay and several other places such as

http://www.paradisevacationforyou.com http://www.vacationgetawayincentives.com http://www.touramericavacations.com

In addition, travelers out there, beaware of the fine lines on those certificates. Many certificates such as their Royal Caribbean Luxury Cruise for Two etc may not be such a good deal after given the amount of processing fee/inflated port taxes you have to pay. You are better off booking directly with expedia than going through the trouble of booking with these agencies which either offer you a package at the same price that you could have booked yourself through expedia or going through hell a lot of trouble to find $20 bucks discount or even worst (paying at higher prices than direct booking)

I booked a vacation and traveled via PTP and had a great time! I got a great value for my vacation and will travel with them again.
Did you try to ask to exchange your certificate for another vacation they currently offered? I think they are really good and would work with you if you asked.
PTP is not a scam. You just can't please everyone.

PTP is a SCAM!!! BEWARE!!! I received a travel certificate from a timeshare company (Celebration World Resort in Orlando FL.) for buying a timeshare from them. They promised me a free cruise but then gave me this certificate for 3 & 4 night ROYAL CARIBBEAN CRUISE VACATION. When I got home and reviwed the certificate I realized that I would have to pay a $99.95 refundable registration fee plus port charge/taxes. I sent in my registration fee of $99.95 on 4/15/08 and then received a Reservation form from Perfect Travel Promotion asking me to choose two separate travel dates along with the fee for taxes and port charges of $398.00. I sent them another check in the amount of 298.05 on 4/29/08 because according to PTP the $99.95 registration fee was able to be applied to the port charges. Since then I have called them daily and left numerous messages with no success. When I do get through, the operator always tells me that they are in a staff meeting or out of the office. I've been calling evry day 3 to 4 times per day and always the same message.

So far the numbers that I've called pertaining to Perfect Travel Promotions or PTP are 386-239-3074, 386-239-3076, 386-239-3070, 386-239-3083, 386-252-3439, 321-594-0089 and 866-727-7605. Interesting enough all of the 386 #'s go to the same voicemail with the same girl on the other end that cant even read a script for her recorded message.

PLASE BEWARE OF THIS SCAM!! ITS A SHAME THAT SOME PEOPLE WOULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO MAKE MONEY. BASICALLY STEALING FROM OTHERS, ESPECIALLY IN TIMES LIKE THIS!! PLEASE DONT MAKE MY MISTAKES.

The new twist on this company is making cold telephone calls, telling people that they've won on of these fantastic holidays.

Their way of operating actually seemed more consistent with phishing for credit card details for a "card not present" fraud.

I've put together the details of my call at on my own Blog at http://www.dragonthoughts.com/blog/2008/06/02/resort-vacations-telephone-scam/

I received a vacation certificate for PTP, but had to pay $48.00 to get the certificate and then pay another 99.00 per person. When I decided it was getting too expensive and I wouldn't be albe to take the "FREE" vacation I requested a refund in February and have yet to get it back.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Florida Attorney General. Today I received a letter from the BBB stating that PTP did not respond. The last email communication I had with Renee Zipperer, Operations Manager, she told me she had my check but now had to wait until the papers came from the BBB. She lied to me.

The BBB of Florida suggested contacting the Florida Department of Highway safety and motor vehicles at myflorida.com. I may try that, but I am going to continue leaving messages on the customer service number and send emails to Renee Zipperer and Melissa Larson.

    Good luck. Michael.

I received a postcard in the mail that says "2 Free Airline Tickets" with United Airways Logo. It said that I needed to attend a 90-minute presentation but was not obligated to buy anything. I called in and made an appt. The lady said it was at the Aladdin Hotel (Las Vegas). On the day of the presentation, the same lady called to let me know that since many people are not able to find where they are situated at the Aladdin, they decided to move to the Courtyard by Mariott on Dean Martin Drive. So we went and found about 10 people there.. with the "props" and all. They asked for our ID and Credit Card.. so that already blew me. The lady (in her 50's) who did the presentation looked fake. She wore a suit but you could tell she's really uncomfortable in it. I somehow thought it was a rental suit. We were only 2 couples escorted in a room and were purposely separated from each other. The presentation already looked fishy to me. It was all about the discount you could get if you decide to become a member (normally $10, 000 but was being offered for $8, 000 that day). I asked if they had a website of what vacation packages they offered but I was told it was just for members only so I need to become a member before I am able to see it. I said I will not pay for something that has no value. I need to see what I am getting but nobody was able to say anything to me. I made excuses to get out of there.. 3 people approached us trying to lower the membership fee.. down to $1900. But we still declined it. Finally we were given a Smart Travel & Incentives, Inc folder.. I read the fine print and caught something that said.. "THIS IS AN OFFER TO SELL TRAVEL". THIS CONTRACT IS FOR THE PURCHASE OF A VACATION CERTIFICATE". I asked them about it but was told that the Round Trip Airfare & Marriott Stay Offer that was written in BOLD LETTERS still means it's free. Now that I read all your posts, It all makes real sense to me. I will not waste my time in sending a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE Deposit anymore. I knew they were crooks! They kept saying that it is like being a COSTCO member, where you pay membership fees to get a discount. In this case, you get lifetime travel discounts for a one-time price of $8, 000. I simply replied, it is like GROUPON discounts except you don't have to pay for it. So keep your money in your pocket folks!! WHEN YOU ARE IN DOUBT... DON'T!!! Good luck to all!! ------------------Las Vegas Resident-------------- PS- One of them said that the Marriott is their permanent office location.. another said they are there temporarily until they can move to their offie on Rainbow Blvd. When I asked where.. they couldn't tell me!!!
