Getting a lawyer involved would probably mean that you may get a little back once all the legal fees are paid. May I suggest for now that everyone file with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center. This is the URL:
http://www.ic3.gov/
Don't know if this will help but at least it may get them shut down or better yet, prosecuted.

My 2 cents.

My husband saw this and asked if I wanted to do it. I read it and told him it was up to him (OOOPS). All we got was an e-book, which has no link to get back to, and the clickbank information. I called [protected] and was told I will receive a refund in 5-7 days and a confirmation in 24 hours. Has anybody actually received a refund? Hopefully all works out for everybody.

Just so you know this # will get you someone on the phone [protected] I didnt join the company becuase I yahoo seacrched the Penbroke Productions co. and found all this WOW...The 1st thing that got me was why is it a productions company right? It sure is a production isnt it...Well I called that number and pretended I was a foreginer and spoke with really bad english...I was wasting the womans time and told her I was looking online here here and saw many many complaints and wanted to know what was truly going on. There was no answer and when I told her I joined and and they wanted to check my status and asked for my last name well, I spelled it KOORBNEP, penbrook backwards lol...They didnt seem to catch on and I acused them of stealing 40 thousand from me. I told them I was going to sue and take th eentire operation out of commision. The lady on the phoen got a little nervios and then I said I wanted to talk to Angela...She said well shes not here today but you can try tomarrow she will be back. So if you want to tie up the phoen system that number seems to work, I called it 2 X and was connected to 2 differant people, the second time I called I figured Id have some fun with them.

On the 4th of April I too was scamed of $197.00. I had called the customer service office several times. I spoke to the office manager(she said her name was Chelsey) and she was not only hard to understand but she was rude and hung up on me. Not very professional in the least. So we complain here...now what? how are we all suppose to put a stop to this and how do we get our money back?

I wasn't actually going to fall for this obvious scam-I just wanted to see how far the rabbit hole went, and it doesn't go very far at all. I bet this company hasn't legitimately made anybody else any money accept themselves. These people need to be tracked down and held accountable. Has anybody had any luck in retrieving their lost money?

I had the same problem. I did purchase this program. I didn't like how much you had to do at so many different places before even starting the "rebate processing" part. I tried to reply to the purchase email that I received from the company several times and finally called [protected], the number that is included in the purchase email. When i did I was processed for a refund. I got the email confirming my refund and that it would take 5-7 business days. I checked my credit card account today and I DID get my refund. So I can't complain that much because I was fortunate enough to get my refund. Just wanted to let you all know that I did get a refund thru the number given. I hope the best for you all. Take care.

Thank you for your comments. This is what I was looking for before I got involved. Anyone else looking for home base jobs, might want to check the Women for Hire website by Tori Johnson of Good Morning America. She has listed warnings for home based scams and one is to not invest unless you can talk to someone immediately and not submit money first. This would be a good example for the website. Sorry to hear if anyone lost any funds. Please take time to investigate her website for tips on seeking hiring, she seems so informative.

I totally agree that this Company is a rip-off. I ordered the program (sigh!) on March 10, 2008 and could never access the member site. I received information by e-mail on click-bank which I already knew about without paying the 197.00. I received an e-mail from the CS department on March 28, 2008 telling me that my refund has been processed and would take 3-7 business days. I have called and e-mailed numerous times with responses of they are having technical diffulties, a manager would call me back in 24 hours. I usually google these kind of things and I really feel bad that I fell for it thinking this guarantee would get me my refund. I will be at the mercy of my bank as I used my debit card. I plan to dispute the charge this morning. I wish everyone luck. I have called these numbers [protected] and [protected]. I have also left a message for Joseph Ashford at [protected]. I think we all need to file complaints on this company to everyone that we can and maybe they can stop this from happening to others looking for honest work from home businesses. Good luck to everyone who has paid this 197.00.

Thank God! Google, you saved me!

It sounded so good. I spent almost two hours to read all the sweet content. And I was about to pay $197.00. But I hesitated to give away my credit card info. I tried to find contact phone number so that I could pay by check but in vain.

I checked with Google about "Penbrook Productionsand" and found that so many people had been lured!

How can we stop those vicious people?

This is a fraud. They have a good song and dance, but when you sign up it is something totally different. I am in the process of trying to get my money back and like someone else said, they say the money was refunded and they give me a transaction number, but there is no money. The customer service people do not speak good english so they just say what they are supposed to say and can't answer any questions. The only answer you get is 5-7 business days when it's been over a month. I am in the process of disputing the charges with my bank.

THANK GOD! I could have paid $197 to this fraud Penbrook Productions. Before that I just checked GOOGLE to know more about Penbrook Productions. Otherwise, I could have fallen into this trap. What a great signature of Angela Penbrook! What a stunning promises? I questioned myself how a rebate processing would earn $15 per rebate (4 minutes) when the rebate value itself between $5 to $25 (most of the rebates.) Instead of paying $15 to a rebate processor, the products company could pay the customer whether the rebate is valid or invalid. I also asked a question what happens if the product is Mail-in-Rebate FREE. In that case products company would loose money if they pay $15 per rebate. How come Penbrook attaches testimonials from other people with their photographs? Penbrook itself a fraud organization, hence the testimonials could also be false. The photographs I guess probably might be bogus (might be photos of the dead.)

I never know before, there is a 'Complaint Board' exists. Thanks to Alan who made a complaint about Penbrook organization. This saved my $197. Thanks once again to 'Complaint Board.' Even after this complaint, this scam is still alive. Some serious action should be taken by FBI on these cheaters.

I called because I was not able to login... kept getting errors. When I called the customer service line they gave me a registration code that was invalid. Then informed me the online customer service department would have to help me and they would get back to me in 48 hours.

I guess I'm out of $197 too! I'm pissed!

I also paid $197.00 for home work regarding Rebate Processing, and cancelled it right after. Was assured the $197.00 would be refunded, and given a "Refund No". This was on 3/12/08. Still waiting... 10 phone calls...always told refund was processed on 3/23/08. Bank has not received... I am so upset. I am a widow, and was very interested in possibility of making an income at home since I was retired. I feel very stupid... should have known better... and am furious.

I have been asking for a refund since day one of signing up for this program. They keep promising that the refund is being processed it will take five to seven days to show back up in my bank. Well it has been over a month and nothing had been refunded!

I would like to know if there is anyone who has actually received a refund without having to go back through their credit card company.

I havve rewuested a proof of refund and nothing has been receive but faalse promises!

Hey ya'll. I called the company at the toll free number, got the persons' name, a Nandi Miller, sent them an email, stating I would hire a attorney and start a class action lawsuit if I was not refunded my money back ASAP, NOT the 5-7 days they state. Then I contacted my credit card company and filed a "Dispute Transaction". This all started on April 3, 2008. On the 12th of April I got my money back, and requested a new card (of course-finally something I did right!) Good luck to ya'll on this scam and lets pray the ### suckers get their due!

I was going to join and realized the e-mail address ended with Angela Penbrook's name, however, noticed that she is not the owner. So I googled and found this site. Reading it enrages me that she pulls on our heart-strings (especially other single moms such as myself) inorder to rip us off. I'm glad they're being reported and decided that I too would return the hoax favor. So I called customer service 3 x's and got 2 different people (both of whom had accents, like some of the complaints detailed) and each time hung up. They must have caller ID b/c by the 3rd call, the lady who answered the phone sounded very nervous from the jump, barely uttering, "hello" in a mere whisper. Sensing her anxiety, I hung up and called right back, this time to inform her that the purpose of these repeated calls was to trace this line and that charges were being pressed and all of the affiliated would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Of course, she was speechless. I hung up and had a good laugh. One good hoax deserves another! THIS ONE'S FOR YOU, MY FELLOW HARD-WORKING AMERICANS...THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!

Well here is just another one of the sucker born every min, as quoted by PT Barnum. I also after looking for sevral days at differant home oppurtunities forked over 197.00 to find out quick that this was a big scam and a very expensive one at that, most are only 50.00 or less. I have called for a refund three times now to be offered every excuse in the book, from system down, to we have refunded look for refound in 3-5 days to we don't have you in our system. to we are sending you an email to verify refund and a couple of other excuses. Foriegn speaking girl with very broken english, no customer skills, and I know it's the same one I have talked to in the past. I guess this has to be reported to the BBB and the Banks and of course to career builders who is posting this add. let me know if anyone in having any luck getting their money back Thanks

I strongly agree with all complaints.
I to purchased the program through the advertizement. I received a partial download of some material as an internet page and saved it to my desk top. I was able to view the material for a day or two but after that the material disappeared.

I fell for this too and am still waiting for their promised $197 refund (within 5-7 business days of my requeset, this being the 15th business day). I would support a class action law suit against this outfit to put them out of business. If anyone is aware of any such activity that I could join and/or wants support to initiate one, please contact me at the email address supplied with this complaint or by calling me at 318/396-1395 or by writing to me at: LeRoy Kamarainen, 101 Tall Oaks Trail, West Monroe, LA 71291. I too fell victim of this scam. I signed up for the rebate processing position in late February. After trying to figure out what to do, I tried emailing Angela herself and never recieved a reply! On 3.21.08 I called the CS Dept, or whatever it is, and demanded a refund which I should have recieved by now. I DIDNT. So I called back today and they fed me the same b.s. story they feed everyone else. "Our System has been down for a few days...blah blah blah~~~~ ! There has to be something that can be done to stop this! All I can say is Mrs. Penbrook is cold hearted for taking money from people and guaranteeing that we could get it back if things didnt work out, and turning around and paying those non-english speaking people our money to answer our phone calls. Its ridiculous. And the really sad part is that everyday more and more people will fall victim to this scam and more and more people will be demanding their money back. Money that is precious to them and just junk to this scam artist. And There is no one out there who can help all of us who have lost $200 dollars. It makes my blood pressure skyrocket! If There is someone out there who knows what we can do to stop this from happening to one other person. Please Help US!

I was about to go ahead and sign up without my husbands approval. Then on second thought I had him take a look at it. It sounded to good to be true.

I have also been suckered with this. There is not a thing I can add to any of the stories that would make any difference. If I can't get any help from the credit card company by disputeting the charge then its chalked up to live and learn. I'm really old enough to have known better but it just what my disabled wife needs to do from home. She just got terminated from her job Friday and this was going to be her dream job and now its a $200.00 nightmare. What a way to spend your last paycheck. We will sure sign a class action law suit or what ever it takes to help stop this kind of fraud.

On March 18, '08, I debited my account $197.00 to Penbrook Productions. Being disabled I chose to earn some extra income at home using my computer. This was an ascent into hell! I paid Penbrook Productions in Irvine $197.00 (debitted my account). They were to send me a package where I would process rebates at home. At $15.00 per rebate this seemed easy enough! After I didn't receive anything I pulled their name up on the internet and lo and behold there were numerous comments of people complaining about this company. Why didn't I think to research them before hand? The only excuse I have is I was in an automobile accident and suffer from a TBI (traumatic brain injury). I called my bank and he in turn transferred me to a "higher up" and I explained my situation. He said he had their mame and phone number from me debitting my account. He then proceeded to do a 3-way call. I spoke to a woman (it wasn't Angela) who said she would refund my money. I'll post it if it ever comes thru. That's my story. This is my first computer and I was told by a friend, "told you so". I think we should file a class action law suit. Are there any lawyers out there? I'd like to mention I bank with Wells Fargo on Stockton Blvd. in Sacramento and their service is excellant.
