Peak 5 FlatIron / Disrespectful Customer Service

I am very appalled at the customer service, Peak 5 FlatIron displayed today when I called to set up payment. I have been a responsible and steady cleint when it came to paying my car loan payments. Then I suddenly experienced financial hardships and they deferred my account to resolve my account in the rear. So when I spoke with the first customer service representative, she was very rude, cold and unprofessional. Then I askesd to speak with a manager and I spoke with Mike the supervisor, and he was much much worse. I was under the impression that I was being accomodated in order to satisfy my debt in the rear, since they knew my financial situation. However, they insulted me and showed no compassion for my situation and was very disrespectful and threatened to repo my vehicle if I did not pay at that moment.

Also, they have changed management more than three times in 2years. It's obvious that they cannot provide stabilty and productivity within this scam of a finance company because they do not produce good business, and because their staff is of poor merit and it shows throughout the company!

Needless to say, what company does business this way in order to receive payments by threatening and insulting their clients. This behavior should be addressed and severly penalized . I will never do business with Peak 5 Flatiron financing company again and I recommend that no one else should either!!!

    I’m also financed with Peak5 Flatiron. They are very rude and disrespectful. I experienced a similar situation. I paid a few times late myself. Not, months behind or nothing like that, maybe two weeks late here and there. I explained my situation, that it was financial hardship. The customer service rep. yelled at me and began to tell me If I were to be late again he’s going to report me to the credit bureau and repo my car. You and I both know that you have to be at least 30 days late. By the time I got off the phone I was almost in tears. Not because of the statement he made, but because of how he talked so down and degrading to me. I had been on time prior to my financial hardship.

    Due to the economic crisis they should be more understanding, especially, if you are trying to make payments.

    Today, I get a call from a San Antonio number. When I call it back, I get a message stating that the voicemail has not yet been set up.

    I called again, and a girl answered. I told her I received a call from this number. She stated that she was calling from Peak 5. I asked her why a San Antonio number was showing up, and she said it was her cell phone.

    Cell phone? Since when are companies allowed to use personal cell phones for business calls? I hung up on her.

    I, too, was treated the same way, twice I had to ask for the amendment on my car, and both times they said they mailed it. I never received it.
    the 2nd time, it was supposed to be mailed, they said they emailed it
    to me. I got no email, now my car is gone, they can have, my hands are clean of them and I can file bankruptcy on them and a few other debts. They want 1600 to reinstate, I cannot possibly come up with that much money. There are other honest car companies out there that treat their customers better. I also have names of all that I talked
    to. one [email protected]# even told me "whatever, pay your bills". I told her well what comes around goes around and you will get yours. God takes care of the ignorant and rude.

    I completely agree. My husband and I have had nothing but trouble since we financed his car loan through Peak 5 (previously Centrix and FlatIron). They have been rude consistently. They have not allowed us to speak to a manager multiple times. We have called to ask questions about our account and they have refused to answer questions unless we set up a payment plan. They have refused to change our payment plan. Last year I made a payment using their automated system. They kept calling saying they never recieved a payment from us. I couldnt give them the confirmation code and they said we had to make another payment or they would reposess our car. I made another payment. They had recieved both payments and had lied about it. When I called to have the second payment redeposited to my checking account they said they would just keep it for the next month's payment. The customer service reps have been rude and condescending. I have never been treated so poorly by a loan company in my life. I have a family and a husband and we both work very hard. We do not deserve to be treated that way. When they call us about payment, we ignore it everytime. Our loan will be paid this year and I can't wait. I will be so relieved to see that day. They shouldn't be in business and how they stay can still be in business at this point is a quandry.

    I also have a car loan thru Peak 5, and i was late with a payment by at at least 2 days, and they called nonstop, and when i finally answered the call, i was driving on the free-way, and i told the lady on the other end that i will call her back and that i didn't have my account information because i was driving. She told me to give my information to her right then and there and i had to tell her time and again that i was driving and that i would call her back once i was able to. But she told me that i either give her my account information or she would report me to the credit bureau. I told her its only 2 days late, there is really nothing to report. Peak 5 employees are RUDE, CONDESCENDING, and use whatever tatic they think is ok to use. I don't take kindly to threats.
    On another occassion i spoke with a SUPERViSOR for peak 5, and i told him we were both out of a job and that my husband barely started work again, and i would be able to make a payment in 3 weeks, and i would call back with a payment, and the "SUPERVISOR" told me that it was "unacceptable" and that i would not be able to call him back that he would refuse my call. I was like fine, your going to be refusing a payment then. The "supervisor" then yelled at me "We are going to pick up your vehicle" and i said well i can still hang up on your A$$!" You'd think they want a payment or even make arrangement with you, but all they have is RUDE BEHAVIOR, DISGUSTING ATTITUDES!, and THREATS! i Hope they GO OUT of BUSINESS! that would be the GREATEST thing ever!

    be careful when paying that last payment, before they give you that title, they will come back and say you still owe more for back interest and late fees that have ballooned. it happened to someone else ober comsumer ripoff.
    they came and got my car and was only 1 1/2 months behind, were supposed to mail me amended paperwork, they said they emailed me them, never received them. they can have the car. I have great friends tho, who went out and found me a used car for $1000 and gave me the car as a gift. and it runs great and I have no payments. besides they have
    already wrecked my credit, but at least I can breathe easy now and if they harass me at all, can file bankruptcy.

    I, like most here, have had very similar experiences with centrix, Peak 5. I just recently called to make a payment only to find out that they have gone out of business. On the one hand that is great, but on the other hand, my husband and I have never recieved notification of what company now has our loan. I want to get this car paid off, I dont want this looming over our heads.. Does anyone know what company now has the loans for Peak 5? If you know.. Please post... Thank you

    I found this on the Peak5 website. Even though the website is currently down, GOOGLE keeps a cheched copy of it. Here's the information:

    Flatiron Financial Services Inc., doing business as Peak5, ceased operations July 10th, 2009. Loans previously under management at Peak5 have been transferred to new loan servicers as of no later than July 11, 2009. Your loans terms and agreements remain in place as contracted, but are now being serviced elsewhere. You can contact your lien holder on your automobile to obtain additional information and you will be receiving billing statements from the new servicers this month.

    Due to the fact your loan servicing was transferred to different new servicers depending upon your specific loan it is not possible to give you a definitive forwarding number. The majority of the loans however were transferred to one of the servicing companies shown below:

    Systems & Services Technologies, Inc. – Telephone: (800) 789-8001
    Auto Portfolio Services, Inc. – Telephone: (877) 761-3111

    I found that post too, thanks to google. I am behind on payments. I went to make one and found out when trying to process the moneygram that I needed to contact my financial institution. I thought they were being ### since I am late, but no number I have works for them. So now I get to just wait and see who the new company is going to be and hope that they allow me a chance to get current. It would have been nice if Peak5 would have sent me a notice that they went belly up. It is also nice of them to tell me to contact my lein holder when they are responsible for my auto loan.

    Ok people just got off the phone with Systems & Services Technologies, Inc. They seem to be pretty nice & reasonable to talk to. They told us that this happened overnight and things obviously are not going smoothly. They are not getting all of Peak 5 customers but they hope to have all of their new customers in their system by Monday (8-3-09). They also said they understand about being late and they would not consider our first payment late, since we have had no notice on this happening. Unfortuntly, My husband & I are not with them as of yet so we are still looking for whoever has our loan...or more information on any of this. If anyone comes across more info or other companies who might be taking Peak 5 customers loans...Please post.

    We also agree about Peak 5...they were absolutely the worst people in the world to do business with...let's hope what comes around goes around.

    I owed Peak 5 three more payments and I just want my pay off amount and title. I hope that the new company will allow me to pay the vehicle off with one lump sum. I don't think I will finance any vehicle anytime soon with out the help of this forum. I thank you all because I thought I was the only one dealing with Peak 5's nightmarish ways. You are not suppose to wish bad on anyone, but anyone that works for Peak 5 I hope that no other company picks up any of there employees and they learn how it feels to face hardship and disrespect.

    I bought a 2004 susuki I have paid 350.00 up to this year 2009 then I went to 300.00 due to hardship of the ecomy so I have already paid in 20, 000.00 for a 15, 000.00 and some dollars car. I should have this car paid for u would think. well after this ###ing company has sold 3 times my loan has changed each time now they are saying I owe 2 and 1/2 more years before its paid for I do not think so that means I am paying 30, 000. for a car that is not worth 30, 000.00. not to metion that I am still after 5 years paying on the intrest of this damn thing. only 8.29 is going toward the prinscable. this company must be stop I found out they were forced into bankruptcy yeah for us huh. THIS HAS TO STOP!!

    I hope that centrix peak 5 or flatiron will never do business ever again the amount of money that was going towards my principal was very little and for there i been paying my car for 5 years and my balance still 17, 000 dollars my car was not new when i got it it came from car rental place with a lot of miles and it was almost 40, 000 dollars whit interest i hope that the new financial company that takes my loan will be willing to work with my financial situation, i hope that they can modified my loan

    I too have an auto loan with Centrix, who became Flatiron Financial. I have never been late on any payments (4 yrs)- now they're changing the loan collector again? Wow- I have to say this is crazy. If I would have known companies did this (at least this company) I would have never agreed to this auto loan. Let's see how long it takes someone to contact me regarding my auto loan :(

    I recently found out through my bank that the automatic payment to Peak5 had been returned unpaid. My immediate thought was what did I do wrong? Did they change addresses and not let me know (wouldn't be the first time)? Come to find out, I had done nothing wrong and they had gone belly up overnight. To be honest, thank god for that. I hated dealing with them just like everyone else.
    I too was called the day after the payment was due to be told by a screaming banshee that my payment was late. I explained that snail mail was where my payment was and it was sent directly from my bank. They wouldn't believe me and said I needed to make a payment right then. I told them that it was tough and that until I received confirmation from the bank that my check had either been returned or paid I was not going to talk to them. They threatened to take my car and I explained that they could certainly try, but that if they did I would sue them for contract breach.
    I still have my car and eventually they stopped calling me. Since then, I haven't heard from them at all.

    From Google's cached page I found out that my new company is Auto Portfolio Services, Inc. I called them and asked what was going on. The woman on the phone explained in a very courteous tone that things were still in the works and that they did indeed have my account information. I could wait until I received the payment information in the mail from them, or I could make a payment over the phone. She was happy either way. Now that is a breath of fresh air.

    Anyway, I am happy to be rid of the company from hell. My other car loan is through a different company and I have never received a threatening phone call from them, ever.

    Thank all of you. This has been a huge help. I thought I was the only one. I sent in my payment and it was returned. Now I have dealt with these people before and I was nervous that I was going to have to cus someone out, again. I guess I will try to reach out to the new company (which will be the forth one for me). I also think I will double check on how much I have paid, because I am three years into a $15, 000 loan and I still owe $11, 000. I read on a different site, that they were doing something funny with the APRs. You all may want to double check yourselves and make sure you are not paying way more than you should be.

    Same as above, we have never been late, never missed a payment etc. Today we received notification from our bank that our automated payment was returned. I called Systems & Services Technologies, Inc. – Telephone: (800) 789-8001 and they had my loan info. You have to go to the below site and register, with a few clicks of the unexpectedly pleasant gal on the phone's fingers all of my information was now in their system and I can now access my online account information.

    Site is http://accountinfo.com (no www!)

    You will need; your account # with Peak 5, Your SSN (with dashes, ex xxx-xx-xxxx), your phone number (with dashes), and your email address.

    You have to register the 1st time, did notice this didn't appear to be a secured site. But to be honest, if my identity was stolen, it would likely only improve my credit ;-) Why else would I be dealing with peak 5...ugh it feels good to be rid of them .

    Thank you to all who posted information about tracking down you"r Peak5 accounts. One person had mentioned a company called Systems & Services Technologies Inc. @ 1-800-789-8001. they informed me that some account went to them as well as another company called Auto Portfloio Systems Inc. 1-877-761-3111. The people at both places were very friendly, coutiouse, understanding. Unlike Peak5, on many occasions, I like some people have experienced with them . You must give them you'r account # or ss# in order for look up you'r account. From personal experience, I was unexpectedly surprised. I thought for sure I would have to fight or get legal reprisentation to get my title, how ever they were very helpful. Good Luck to the rest of you, hope this helps as it did myself.
