We got sent a couple of state quarters last December. They asked for $17.99 and then they would continue to send more state quarters and more bills after future shipments. We had not ordered this item and were not interested in receiving more of them. There was no information about returning the items (2 quarters and a lot of paperwork about the state of origin of the quarters - Possible value of items was 94 cents to include quarters and copy costs of the paperwork). Since we were not interested in further shipments, we did not respond.

After 3-4 months we started receiving threatening letters in the mail, saying we owed them $17.99.I contacted them by phone last month telling them we had not ordered these items. That did not matter... they had received an internet order from us... which was not true. That did not matter to them - they just want our money or they'll try to wreck our credit. I've contacted my state's attorney general's office. If necessary, I'll talk to some of my lawyer friends who will give me free advice. It should be interesting to see how this plays out. PCS Stamps is a real scam!'

I started purchasing coins from PCS Coins years ago. I always received only what I ordered. However, I got involved in the Presidential Dollar Coin Album collection. I received a nice album and started automatically, receiving a set of plastic encased gold dollar, P & D coins, at the cost of $4.95 a set, starting with George Washington in 2007, thru Ulysses S Grant, 2011. I stopped receiving coins and when contacting PCS was told that collection had been discontinued. Now what? They have no answers and will no longer talk about it. In reviewing earlier comments about this company I realize I should have done some research BEFORE doing business with them. Every research seems to indicate that this organization is a scam, rip off, or whatever you wish to call it. I am most likely going to remove the coins from the plastic and spend them. I also will NOT LONGER do any business with any organization "BEFORE" some research. I only have myself to blame for thinking this was a reputable organization.When I see/receive any ads or literature from this organization it goes into the garbage.

I will never order from PCS coins again. First, their customer service sucks. I called 3 different times and got 3 different ship dates. Are they using the same source? Second, I ordered their Walking Liberty coin 3 weeks ago and have not received.. They tell me it shipped and I have still not received and I live in the USA. Did it shipped by mule? Never again...

Thank Y'all for your comments. We just received the Sunday paper and the PCS Ad "From our Vaults - 58% Below Regular Price" "A Very Limited Supply of 90 year old Morgan 90% Silver Dollars. We were excited at first because we wanted 6 for our Grandchildren. The last line of the Ad says "Limit one per household". We immediately Googled "PCS Stamps & Coins" and read all of the complaints. We were first temped but the "Devil is in the Details". No Thank You, No Thank You, and No thank You. We have learned to "Google" everything we are interested in. THANK YOU EVERYONE ABOVE. "A Word to the Wise should be sufficient". AMEN !

I got an offer in the mail from them and responded for the free state parks quarters. Im no fool, I know that those quarters are not as rare and valuable as they are made out to be but I collect coins so I figured why not. They sent me my free quarter and to their credit it looks uncirculated but as always I decided to check the internet before giving them any payment info. I dont think I will now but out of curiosity, are they going to try and bill me now? Can they even do that since I never gave them any credit info?

I received a bill from PC Coins for coins I did not receive. It was too high for the coins even if I received them.I called customer service was yelled at by a man named Jerry who called me a liar. He said I told him to send the coins to a different address. I never talked to Jerry and am unsure why I would say such a thing. Come to think of it, his attitude was one of the worse I have ever encountered in any type of business. I used to be a customer service rep and I would have been fired for such rudeness.

I do by coins form Littleton who have better prices, pleasant cutomer service reps and have a point system I can use toward free coins. You can return the coins in a prepaid envelope. You can get better prices on Ebay...and even Amazon.

They are still up to their same old tricks. Predators on the elderly (not saying you are, I don't know) but predators none the less. They will tell you the sky is purple, send you a copy of a blue sky, and say see, I told you it was purple.

A Friend of Mine Thought that Coin Collecting was going to to be something that will be worth money down the line for the future of his lil child to receive & enjoy adding to the collection or cashing it in for a great value one day. I realized off the top when the sent the product of coins with out a payment received to there company that it was a scam, the coins or fake & wont have a great big value to cash in furtively... Recognize companies online or by mail is scamming innocent paying people out of money by 1.) Sending product(s) thru the mail without them receiving a payment for a real value of coins what are allegedly worth alot more. Do not waste your paid earned money on something thats just after receiving a payment for something not at value and end up getting more money if your payment aren't received by sending your non payments to bill collectors & the rip off companies receive there payments while youe credit is affected by non payment bill Collection Agencies

My father also fell victim to PCS to the tune of thousands of dollars. We did not find the extent of the damage until he passed away last year. Now I am trying to sell some of the 'collections' on e-bay. He was also scammed by a coin company called 1st National - so I registered a domain and set up a website to try and warn others: http://www.1stnationalreserve.org/.

I have been a customer of PCS for more than 10 years. They make nice products to display in your home. It's not about getting the best prices for the coins but rather the presentation and the guarantee of getting a lot of different coin years. You could do that on your own too but it would take more work. Plus their Customer Service is maybe the best out there. When I call I get to speak to a person, where does that happen any more. My father would send in the offers he got in the mail sometimes and then forget he sent it in and wonder why he was receiving a coin with a bill. So I asked them take my father off of their list and he no longer gets the mailings.

Wow, I would like to thank each and everyone that posted to this page. I just got the Sunday paper and they had an ad for 1889 Uncirculated Morgan Silver Dollar, I had check written and envelope ready to mail, then I found all the negative reviews here and then all the extra mail they send you without it being requested so I tore up the check and know not to purchase anything from them. Many of you also stated about the over priced items and I agree, some the items are 5 to 6 times more expensive than what you would pay from a reputable dealer. Thank you all again. Allen Jones

I just received a Official notification to urgently reply within 14 days to secure a complete set of 28 different Morgan & Peace silver dollars all in brilliant uncirculated condition at $85 plus $4.90 shipping and service per coin, payable in two monthly installments of just $44.95.
Brilliant Uncirculated U.S. Silver Dollars Minted [protected]

This has scam written all over it.
Here are just three of the many scam points;
(1.) 1935 minus 1878 equals 57 not 28, complete set, i think not!
(2.)If you read it and not pay attention you would most probably figure on paying;
$44.95 monthly installment x 2 =$89.90
28 coins x $4.90 shipping and service = $137.20
add those two totals and get $227.10 total payment.
which would be a great price, but a closer inspection of this crap, here is what you would really be paying;
$44.95 monthly installment x 2 =$85.00 + $4.90 = $89.90 per month for 56 months (28 total coins delivered 1 every other month)
$89.90 x 28= $2517.20
(3.)Also since they ship coins 1 every other month it will take 56 months ( 4 years 6 months ) to get all 28 coins

Yes PCS stamps and coins is a complete scam they offered 28 1 silver dollars for around 90 bucks, but the after the first two coins comes it turns out that they was 90 bucks per coin, also before you even receive your first coin they send you tons of crap asking to join and buy vintage pennys and ect, I would never recommend this company!

PCS is not a scam if you stick with Gold and Silver! Yes Morgans were $90.00 but at that time Silver was more than $50.00 an ounce. You can buy coins cheaper, I do shop around but with Silver down as it is, it is a buyers market! Problem is finding the same type coins that PCS has to offer as older coins are getting rarer and rarer! PCS does have a money back guarantee and free replacement if any coin is not to your satisfaction. If you think PCS is a ripoff then you have not looked at American Heritage Coin Auctions or any of the Coin Trade companies on TV. American Heritage auctions coins in the thousands of Dollars, and most coins offered on TV are priced higher than PCS! How can you say PCS is a SCAM when they have refunded or replaced any coin I was not happy with! I bought a Seated Liberty 20 cent piece Carson City Mint and since it was not as pictured in the ad, they replaced with a much better Seated Liberty 20 cent piece! You want coins in Pristine condition it is going to cost you and you look up coins on the internet by reputable companies and you can see Morgans in the Thousands of Dollars, for example an 1895 San Francisco in a 70 Grade is anywhere from $50, 000 to $80, 000 Dollars, so getting a M.D. for about $50 to $90 in a ungraded coin beats thousands of dollars any day! Even Littleton Coin Company's Morgans are anywhere from 39.99 to $89.99 for ungraded coins and Graded coins are over $100.00 depending on the grade! Don't even ask for the rarest Morgans in the 1890's they are hard to come buy and if you do get one let's say an 1893 or 1895 it is going to cost you plenty, starting at $4, 000 on up, I know I inquired about certain coins in those years and that was the base price if they even had it. Carson City Morgans are the rarest of all the Morgans and if you do find one, you are not going to pay $39.99 or $79.99 or $89.99 you are lucky if you find one under $200.00

I have been buying PCS Coins and Stamps for years and I have no complaints on their service. I also never use my credit card and after receiving coins, I send my check. I guess they much trust me and my checks because like I said, I enjoy their coin collections.

To whomever started this site, including commenters/contributors, I offer my sincere gratitude.
I just received, in the mail, an PCS brochure for a "15 uncirculated Morgan dollars, collectible set." On the back page of the large, glossy brochure it states: "Only your quick response will secure the complete 15-coin collection at $85 plus $4.90 shipping and service per Panel, payable in two monthly installments of just $44.95."

KEY PART OF THE PITCH "$85 plus $4.90 shipping and service *PER PANEL*." In other words, you pay $89.90 for EACH INDIVIDUAL COIN, included with each coin is the "collector panel, mint-condition postage stamp, vivid narrative and black-and-white period photo." WOW! Am I NOT impressed, or what?!?!?!
$89.90 x 15 coins/*Panels* = $1, 348.50.

I've found much better deals on eBay and at APMEX.

NGC and PCGS will not grade any coins purchased on eBay! I have already talked with representatives from both companies and told me don't even bother sending them coins purchased on eBay because a lot of coins sold on eBay are fakes produced in China! I had a bad experience on a MORGAN DOLLAR which came from a company based in China! I knew something wasn't right when I paid less than $20.00 for a rare M.D. though the seller had a U.S. address but the coin came from a dealer in China. I sent the coin back don't know if it ever got there, but Ebay refunded my money, but not the shipping charges I had to pay to send the coin back to China! I have bought Gold Coins from APMEX - you don't have to buy in bulk like some other companies require you to!

I just got an ad for Morgan uncirculatged silver dollars. I was ready to order it when a hunch made me come to the Internet to check it out and I stumbled in here. Thanks to everyone who learned the lesson the hard way for saving me from loss of money and sanity! I ripped up the information from PCS in a hurry.

Ok, I fell for the newspaper ad for the uncirculated silver dollar and after careful reading of the ad I ordered. There was a statement nothing more to buy, ever. Got the coin in about 6 weeks and it was ok but not even close to uncirculated but I kept it for the $37.95. About 2 months later I got a 1922 peace dollar, that was not ordered, that was really bad and billed my credit card $44.95 and delayed another $44.95 for 30 days. We contacted them and they said they would remove us from all lists and send a return label which we got. They were also supposed to credit our credit card when they received the coin but that did not happen. Guess we have to now protest the credit card. What a bunch of junk. coins are low grade stuff and the hassle is terrible. You can do much better at the local shop for less money.

Thanks everyone. I received one of their offers in the mail for the new State quarters. They were going to charge 15.95 for a sheet of two quarters, and stamps. I was just about to drop it in the mail, when something told me to check them out on the web. I have been trying to get into coin collecting for a while now, but I think I just dodged a bullet thanks to your information. So for those of you who got ripped off, take solace in the knowledge you denyed them another victom! God Bless!

P.C.S. Stamps & Coins is indeed a rip off, try taking one of their coins to a local coin dealer and see just what they say it's worth, not nearly as much as P.C.S. charged for it. That company and it's parent should be taken before the United States Sepreme Court for the bogus nonsence they pull, them and all who would do the same.

Your first mistake was going to a Coin Dealer who will never pay for what a coin is worth! You want to know the real value of a coin join PCGS or NGC, who will not only tell you what the coin is worth, but they will also GRADE your coins! The higher the grade the more valuable your coin is worth. If you want to buy real valuable Graded coins, then go to American Heritage Coin Auction website I have yet to see a coin less than $10, 000 which is why I prefer PCS, I don't have to buy coins that would cost me an arm or a leg or the cost of a new card When you join PCGS or NGC they will grade so many coins for free, mind you documentation is required for coins you want graded by either company! I have receipts for all my coins I ever purchased and some came with certificates of Authenticity!

I have been dealing with PCS Stamps and coins for years and I have not had any problems with their coins. Their Silver Proof State Quarter Sets - product code - QTS are sets made up of State Quarters that are minted in 99.99 % pure Silver, and come from the San Francisco Mint and have the "S" mint mark on the coins! Rather than spend extra money on those coins, I purchased The Statehood Quarters ABB in pure Silver at $26.00 per coin. Yes you may pay more for Silver Coins but they are one of the few companies that offer time pay and they will replace any coin you are not satisfied with at their cost to send a replacement! There are companies that are more pricier than PCS, but you have to pay everything up front before they even ship you anything and if you are not satisfied with any coins, you have to ship the coins back at your expense! Do your homework if you look up the San Francisco Mint almost all coins from that mint are Silver Proofs! You can not buy coins directly from the San Francisco Mint only the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia and you are not going to get Silver Proof Coins in State Quarters!

My elderly father received these coins. We got him to call and cancel the coins when he went into the hospital, after he had a stroke last month. He died yesterday, and guess what? They didn't cancel his order, even after he called it in a month ago! We know he canceled it, because we dialed the number for him, and stood there in the hospital room while he did it!

And yet The charges for $35.90 appeared on his credit card account again this month.

What's even worse? They didn't mail him anything this month, just the bill for stuff he didn't even receive.

Can I sue these people? I'm already exhausted from the funeral arrangements, but the bill that showed up online today put me over the edge. They've crossed a boundary.

just recieved a brochure in the mail for morgan and peace dollars. to read it fast you think your getting two silver dollars for $49.50 plus $2.00 shipping, every other month. but if you go back and read it carefully it's $49.50 each, and that's way out of line in pricing for average date silver dollars. at least #10.00 to $20.00 higher than honest dealers are asking. silver is at it's high right now, but you can still pick up a good buy. even from the U.S. mint you can get a silver dollar at a $50.00 price tag, and you know it's not a counterfit. I am very suspicous of this company being that they did not have a 800 number in this beautiful brochure the sent.

The PCS stamp and coin company hasn't tried to charge me any money yet but about a month ago i got a free gift coupon for a 24k gold stamp replica and i sent it in. i just recieved today and all the info for starting a membership was in side but the free gift was missing. it states that the replica is inside the envelope but apparently it is not. i tried to contact them but cannot get through. i am not going to ask for a membership so i really hope they don't try to send me anything else because i will not pay them. with all the complaints i believe that this company is a scam.

My elderly Dad has been sucked into this, as well as numerous other shady dealings or scams. This is what I'm doing- when something arrives in the post, I simply write 'refused delivery' & 'return to sender' on the parcel or envelope and drop it in the mailbox. These "companies" prefer to deal with the elderly, especially the "sweepstakes" or "prize reports" type of operations, because as we get older our minds aren't as sharp as they once were, with some exceptions, of course. It is my hope that after they have to pay the return postage a few times they will give up. Time will tell, I guess.

I also am getting the same crap from them. I do notice that they never mention overdue charges or fee's. What reputable company would not include late charges for legit product charges. Like clockwork I get a notice every month and I just laugh. I am not going to waste time with phone calls or lawyers. Should they even attempt to mess with my credit then I will see an lawyer. Till then it is just a scam. Ignore them.
