Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com scammers

I receive emails everyday from PCH saying click here to claim your PCH Super Prize Number. Strict deadline by (date). Super prize number will be picked on August 13, 2009.
Every week they change the date and now they're saying its on November 11. Its just a bunch of spam emails trying to get you to buy there ### products. Beware..

I can't think of a single time I've ever heard of anyone that I know in my state ever winning
anything. I read another blog where the person brought up a salient point: namely, that one,
single picture of an elderly person winning the "big one"...well hell, yeah. How long would they
possibly have to pay out if she's 80?!?!?

PCH can kiss my grits. I write all over their entries that I'll buy something if I win.
Trying to come up with new methods of annoying them back. Any faves out there?

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com racist comment!

I have been getting calls from PCH like 5 times for the past few days. The first time they called, I listened patiently and almost placed an order, I ended up changing my mind, so when they called to verify the order, I requested to cancel. The lady wasn't happy, but she was still professional.

Right now I just got a call again from a rude lady called Cherry, as I had already requested to have my name removed from the list today, I told her just that (and nothing else), she made a racist comment that I should take my name off the list of America and go back to wherever I belong, and hung up! Just because I have a non-American last name, doesn't mean I should be subject to this kind of treatment by a telemarketer.

This is hughly unacceptable, no one should be a subject of this kind of attitude and treatment! The company should select people who know how to be professional, if you can't get a sale, move on and call someone else, it's never OK to make stupid racist comments. I'm deeply offended, can't believe a telemarketer who was trying to sell stuff would be this rude to me! This is just crazy!

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com scam

This lotto site is a complete scam. I have played for years, have family and friends that have playedfor years, and when someone wins, they always have an excuse not to pay out. Either th site goes down for maintenance, or they emailed out to the wrong people, or they offer you a consolation prize in lieu of the big prize as it was a mistake on thier part. But they always want you to sign a release if you accept the consolation prize valued at about $200. Bogus site, complete scam, the only thing they are is the BIGGEST magazine sales company. That's where they make thier money, and they also sell you information to hundreds of companys that send you spam, call you daily and fill your mailbox with unwantd junk mail.

Yes, PCH is a huge scam. I've been playing for over 30 years and only won a $20 Amazon gift card a few years ago from PCH Search. A couple years ago I woke up one Saturday morning and started to search for something via PCH Search and a pop-up window pops up stating my name and where I'm from had won $10, 000. I was ecstatic and patiently waited for the confirmation email. A few hours later I got an email from PCH stating they had made a mistake and someone else had actually won. Yeah right, it's another deceiving thing PCH does. They tell people they won thinking they will feel great and buy a bunch of their crap. Anyway, they should have honored that money to me. They gave me some bullcrap coins that are utterly completely worthless! Speaking of coins, PCH Rewards is a huge joke as well!

They bombard you with emails and always threaten you stating if you do not enter now you forfeit the chance to win the grand prize even when you've entered a million times before. They just want you to buy their cheap products, which I advise never ever do because it's all China made crap! They have good deals on magazines, but it's not worth me wasting anymore time doing the bogus games. PCH is a huge scam and you will never win anything worth anything! The only thing you will win is tons of spam mail because they sell your email address. They are a bunch of thugs and skanks!

I have play PCH games since 2014 and currently have 79, 000, 000 tokens. I once received an e-mail that I had won $10, 000 but by the next morning I was notified that it was a mistake and given 10 chances to win $10, 000 again. I do purchase useful items from time to time but many are cheap low quality items. The experience has not been what I had hoped for.

I have over 1.5 million tokens and even when I put 100 tokens for a $1000 cash award I never have seen anyone I know win. From now on I am just deleting them. They always want you to pay postage or shipping for a purchase so if they have all this money why can't they ship for free?

I, too, "won" a prize on their instant win site. If I remember correctly I think it was for $1000. I then got an e-mail from PCH.com saying there had been a computer error & that I did not win. In the past I have son a few things from them. It's been about 16 years ago but I did win a $1000 Savings Bond from them & they did deliver on that and very quickly too. Otherwise I have won $50 & $5 on their instant win contests, I think one reason why it is SO difficult to win is because SO many people are trying to win these prizes. If you read the rules it gives you the odds of winning which are just about nothing. So it's up to the individual as to whether or not they want to spend all that time from such a remote chance of winning. If you entered all the sweepstakes on their website it takes a minimum of 3 to 4 hours to hit them all.

I have won a $20 amazon card years ago, and this year a $20 cash. The amazon card was instant winner and knew it right then. The 20 cash must have been lotto because I didnt know I won it since I don't always check the did I win page...It just came in the mail as a surprise.

After this post, on 6-1 I matched 6 of 7 numbers twice and am told I won up to $300 to be paid in 3-5 weeks. On a chart the corresponding monetary amount is $150, so times 2 would be 300. Not paid after 4 weeks, will come back after the 5th week has passed and let you know...

Here is the BS response after sending pch customer service a screen shot of my winning:
We sincerely regret that a programming error caused an incorrect message to appear on your screen. If you had won a prize on PCH Lotto you would have received an immediate confirmation email and your name would appear on our winner database. This was not the case. Please be assured we have taken steps to prevent such a situation from happening again. As a measure of our disappointment in this error, we have awarded 25, 000 tokens to your account. Our thanks for your ongoing support and interest in our promotions!

I played soccer scratch off on pch lotto. It said to match the picture and you win a prize. I matched the picture of 2 score cards and it said i was not a winner. It is not right to let people think they are winners or that they will win if you scratch the card for a prize. Cheryl

Okay, I ordered two magazines from Publisher Clearing House but only receivec one of the magazines ordered. THey started billing before the first issue c ame. I received only two issues of one and the other stopped after the fourth issue. I told them, but they kept on billing, getting more and more nasty. They will not acknowledge receipt of any correspondence from me. I am tired of the threats and awful customer service. I have asked to be removed from their mailing list, and seriously contemplating contacting my attornies. Awful, just awful business.

I have recieved numerous invites from PCH about the upcoming sweepstakes. Now that it's drawing to a close the entry deadline form the company has e-mailed me will not let me hit the click to continue button for some strange reason. The deadline is June 7, 2009 and the date this problem has occured falls on today June 3, 2009. I'm not saying this is a scam or anything because hopefully I can try tommorrow to see if the company will let me click on. Either by e-mailing me a new deadline entry claim or processing the current informaton I have submitted I hope this situation will be handled professionally.

Let me tell you what I think about PCH. I play their stupid Slot Games, BJ Games and Bingo Games. I have 3 months worth of pictures showing the Bull that they throw. The lot Games, you never get the full amount of "Bonus" Marks., on the 3 frame slots you get 2 spins, on the 4 frame slots you get 3 spins, and on the 6 frame slots you get 4 spins. The casino part of that game is an even bigger joke. No of the games gives you anything, Oh I'm sorry I won 1 scratch off card $5.00 amazon card. Imagine that I've been dealing with this PCH crap for 39 years and won $5.00 whole dollars. Gee do you thing I need a crew of body guards. It might be too heavy, I may need a forklift to carry it. I've had the $10, 000.00 scratch card so many times on the High Roller game and can you guess what the card said when I scratched it off, You guessed it, "Sorry but this Card is not a winner. The bingo game, I had the winning pattern just 2 weeks a go. It say on the recording; "If your card matches the winning pattern, you win. It doesn't say win an entry in the drawing, I'm DONE WITH PCH AND THEIR SCAM BULL S.

I think Publishers Clearing House just picks a person out of hundreds of million addresses and makes one person a winner, but they really are not giving anyone anything because they put a million dollars in the bank and all they are giving away is the interest on their money.

They fool people into believing they have a chance to win big, but they hoodwink people into buyer their products either by email or snail mail; they disappoint too many people with all their gorilla marketing tactics.

If everyone would just tell them to remove them from their mailing lists, then they would have nobody to sell their magazines and products to...this would put an end to all the disappointments they create.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com multiple billing scams

I ordered a number of items from Publishers Clearing House and in the beginning the products shipped were the ones I ordered and paid for. Then I began receiving items I did not order and returned them immediately. I began to receive bills for the returned items and tried to reach PCH many times and returned their bills with letters. Finally, I paid the bill simply to avoid a problem with my credit as they threatened me with a collection agency. They cashed the check, but now they are billing me again for more money and will not inform me why only the threatening remarks.

Now, they are calling a phone number belonging to the people who live in another house on my street and leaving threatening messages for me. I don't know how they got that phone number since it is not even listed under my name. I don't even know them and they are being harassed by PCH and it is so embarrassing. This neighbor is threatening to file a complaint against me with our police department.

Someone needs to advocate for people like since there are thousands of us. If you look at this website you will see what I mean: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/misc/publishers_clearinghouse.html

Please help people like me who have no where else to turn.

Thank you.

PCH is absolutely the WORST company to deal with. All I did was order a Berber rug. I paid the first part of the three part payments with a money order, and paid the rest out online with a VISA. They sent SIX payments dues after the darn thing was PAID OUT! On top of which, I ordered a mailsorter for my husband's office, and it never came, and they never even checked on it, or gave us a reason why. Do they hire drug addicts or what? I don't know. WORST people I've ever dealt with, won't deal with them again.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com unsolicited call on cell phone

I received a phone call today on my cell from a man claiming to be calling from "Publisher's Clearing House"...a Mr. Allenson. The phone number was [protected]. I looked up the area code and it was listed as "Jamaica"...a split from another area code. He stated that I needed to call him back immediately. That a package from the clearing house was "on it's way!". I haven't filled anything out from them. I am guessing that this is another "scam" to have people call and then they are billed unreal $ amounts on their phones. BEWARE!

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com milldewed goods

I ordered Potholders Value Pack. When received, the potholders are smelly, milldewed. After putting them through wash and dry cycles, the smell still remains. I have a bill for $21.95 for shoddy, smelly articles. I will probably have to pay for these unusuable items, but will not order anything from this company again.

I never have ordered the potholders, I can get things like that cheaper at the Family Dollar down the street - but I did order the Diabetic Socks (buy two pairs and get two pairs free) got them quick and they're in fine shape, feel great too! Ronald Hartwig

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com terrible experience

Publishers Clearing House insists that I still owe them money for a dvd in spite of the fact that I have submitted hard-copy documentation that the alleged debt has already been paid in full. Their response indicated that my payment 'was applied to another order... .'

To date PCH has failed to produce a detailed statement indicating to me HOW and WHEN/WHERE my payment(s) have been APPLIED and to which purchase(s)! PCH has clearly demonstrated to me their indifference to fairly addressing customer concerns. Now, my alleged debt has been turned over to a collection agency.

I have filed a formal dispute with the collection agency in which I enclosed a copy of my supporting documentation indicating to them that their debt collection notice is invalid.

I have assembled and maintained, over time, an extensive file documenting every transaction with PCH in anticipation of possibly having to confront an issue such as this. I can assure you that there will be no future transactions with PCH!

It is never give to anyone that really need it.

The only way you will receive something is if your order it through the mail, phone, or internet. You just dont randomly receive an item. People are stupid. Folks that dont remember stuff needs to write crap down they order.

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com Fraud and cheating

On Friday, February 27th 2009 I got a fraudulent check in the mail for $5, 935.00 from Canada. It said that I had won the 2nd Grand Prize in the Reader's Digest Drawing. The prize was supposedly 1 million dollars.

The check had the name Sharon Mills at [protected] on it. When i called her I was told that an IRS agent had my million. I was supposed to put the $5, 935 in my account and send back $3, 800. The $3, 800 was for fees to come deliver the 1 million.

It sounded immensely real to me and I was planning on going through with it until i read all of the complaints on this website. I've seen others with the same check, who thought they won the same prize, and the same fake information was given to them. It's a scam! I got scammed!

It's depressing, really, that they get people's hopes up and then try to scam you out of all the money you own!

Publishers Clearing House / PCH.com Not providing statistics

This website's (www.pch.com) contractor does not provide statistics
as to winners who win through snail mail campaign and those
winners who win from online submissions.

It is believed by many of my colleagues and friends that these statistics
are primary to validate the sweepstakes and gives the participants a
clear understanding of their chances.

The website appears to be an advertising SCAM, which translate into
that the online participant names ARE NOT submitted into the pool
of possible winners. Not providing statistics, which are unbiased and
clean only mitigates a fraud. I want an answer, if not, I will submit this
message to online blogs, consumer report agencies, etc.

I received an "Official Entry Validation & Order Form" from Publishers Clearing House in the mail (U.S. Post). How can I verify that this is not a scam and that I have an actual chance to win?

I can verify that Publishers' Clearing House does indeed dole out prizes to winners two or three times a month - my company has videotaped their giveaways since the 1980s, the most recent being last week when a lady won $5000/week for life. We have a great relationship with this company, and can promise that the prizes are real and are often won by people who enter online!

As for the stats etc, that I can't verify or explain. But I do know that PCH is definitely on the up-and-up when it comes to giving away prizes.
