PC Richard & Son - Mattress & base

On 1/13/2024, my husband and I visited P.C Richards in Paramus, NJ. Upon arrival, a salesperson directed our attention to a promotion on mattresses, encouraging us to consider their range of products. After testing several options, we mentioned a competitive offer from Mattress Firm, which included a money-back guarantee, a substantial discount, a free mattress cover, and 2 pillows. The representative and the store manager assured us that they would not only match this offer but also provide additional benefits, including the option to open a store credit card with 36 months of interest-free payments, as opposed to the original 24 months, and a money-back guarantee. Convinced by the promise of a deal, we proceeded with the purchase. The mattress provided one of the most uncomfortable nights' sleep we have ever experienced, prompting us to request a return the following day. Contrary to the salesperson's assurances, they informed us that we were eligible only for an exchange, not a refund. This contradicts the explicit terms of our agreement at the time of purchase, constituting a bait-and-switch tactic once payment was secured. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue amicably with both the store and district managers, our requests for a refund have been categorically denied. The DM offered a store credit which is unsatisfactory and impractical for us. Our efforts to escalate the matter to corporate have been met with silence and inaction. This situation has left us with a costly purchase that we cannot use, causing us to resort to sleeping in separate bedrooms from the discomfort. The refusal to provide a refund, honor their verbal agreement, or even engage in constructive dialogue has resulted in considerable stress for our family. We seek a full refund, in line with the initial agreement. We believe this resolution is not only fair but necessary to rectify the significant inconvenience and distress caused by their practices.

PC Richard & Son - Air conditioner extended service protection plan warranty / scam?

I purchased a Frigidaire 5, 000 BTU window air conditioner in July 2018. The unit comes with a Free one year Manufacturer's repair service warranty, in effect from the date of original purchase. I then purchased a 2 year PCR Extended Service Protection Plan for the a/c unit figuring that I was now covered for 3 years, until July 2021, should anything go wrong with the unit. I was mistaken, apparently.
The a/c unit stopped working last week and I contacted the Customer Service dept for repair service through the warranty. I was informed that the Extended Service Plan begins running simultaneously with the Free Manufacturer's repair service from the original date of purchase. Therefore, my warranty expired last year, July 2020. This is typical of a switch and bait scam. No one purchases a repair warranty to begin running during the same period that a Free Manufacturer's service coverage is in effect. This deceptive practice with the extended service plan needs to stop.

Desired outcome: Please repair my a/c unit under the warranty or replace it with a new one.

PC Richard & Son - washing machines

We purchased the warranty at the time we purchased our washing machine. We never had a problem with the machine until now and we have had 3 service calls all with no resolve. They keep saying they need to order parts, they did and came to install and it broke again. They came back said they need to order more parts. Each time they come it's at least a week wait for the next appointment so now I have been without a washing machine for a month. I paid over $500 for a warranty that seems useless and the level of urgency and ability to fix the issue is low. I would NOT recommend purchasing from P.C. Richard.

Called in maintenance plan repair on December 24th. I described exactly what was happening with the circulation fan and demanded service technician arrives with fan.

Service scheduled for December 27th. I followed-up informing PC Richards in Paramus NJ fan died and refrig/freezer no longer works. Service technician arrived with NO parts. My wife was told parts may take a week.

I called to complain and received lip-service. I was told parts were found in NY and they would try to expedite. I demanded to speak with a manager who was not available. Craig Manager surprisingly called 45 minutes later to say they are trying to find the parts.

the manager, actually told me I could go to their store and rent and pick-up a dorm refrigerator. He then contradicted what the first person said when he reported they found parts in NJ. Manager Craig did not help and offered no apx.

date. My bet - no parts and service until next Thursday at the earliest.

I am FINISHED with PC RIchards and Son in Paramus NJ

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

PC Richard & Son - shame on pc richard & son for treating the disabled this way with fast talking sales people.

Don't buy extended warranty it is a rip off. I was taken for $360.00 dollars on a laptop and printer they swore that no matter what happens to these two things they would replace them. Well I broke the screen went to the store and spoke to the salesman Mo who didn't remember me and pretty much called me a liar to my face, then spoke to the manager he did the same. I am a disabled gentlemen and they pretty much took advantage of me and tried to get extra money in the sale so he makes more on his commission. I have contacted 7 on yourside and they will check into this matter.I also contacted the Americans with Disablities to help me in this matter shame on PC Richard & Son for treating the disabled this way with fast talking sales people. By the way this was the Paramus New Jersey store and the salesman name was Mo and the manager was Craig Ruppert so if you go there beware

PC Richard & Son - I sent emails to company with no response. as of november still no response and no refund.

I was to call friday after 9pm to obtain my 3 hour window as directed. There was no answer and I called several times. I called customer service - they stated usually not in am but I continued to call number without success. Saturday at 9 am the delivery man called that he would be there in 20 minutes. I was not home - was in class. I explained the previous details and he said he would call back after 11am when I would be home. He never called. I called him 2 times - called customer service 2 times and the p c richard and son in paramus store 2 times - each time was unsuccessful in getting a status. I tried to cancel order by calling those same numbers and just got the run around and was put on perpetual hold by mit manager joesph botros jr.. I sent emails to company with no response. As of november still no response and no refund.

PC Richard & Son - not once received a phone call from them

I have never before had to deal with such horrible customer service. I bought a refrigerator and ice maker from these people and the ice maker never worked. I had 5 different service calls and was told something different every time. They always say they will call you but NEVER do. I am now dealing with trying to get someone to help me with getting something done about the service guy tearing up my kitchen floor when he attempted to move the refrigerator. I have sent pictures now 3 TIMES and each time they give me a different story and don't know the people I have already dealt with.

** is supposedly an Outside Sales manager and I was dealing with him but I can't get him to return emails and the number on his email is wrong. Now I have been told to send the pictures again October ** and can't get her to confirm the pictures I emailed to her at her request. This has been going on for over a month.. and before that it took me calling and having someone look at the ice maker for over 2 months with 5 different people coming out to fix it.. Finally got it fixed and it was something that should have been found by the first technician. Now the last technician ruined my floor and I can't get anyone to care or acknowledge my pictures.

These people always tell me they will call me and I have never, not once received a phone call from them. I am the one that is having to contact them. This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with and once I report to the BBB and hopefully get my floor fixed.. I will NEVER use again and will make sure no one I know uses them. I don't have my order number... but my phone number is ** and my name is Sharon**.. I don't expect anything to come of this complaint either.. I am really exasperated with this company and can't understand why a customer would be treated this way

"Very disappointed with this store. Bought a tablet, opened the box, obviously, tried working on it, didn't really like it. Came back to the store (within 30 days) to return it & the store general manager Craig Ruppert REFUSED to do a return. Because, I quote "The box has been opened and I've "used" it." Even though I had all the accessories and the box, tablet was in a new condition.I will NEVER shop at this store again."

PC Richard & Son - horrible service - delivery

I was supoosed to have my dishwasher delivered on Friday after 2pm. P C Richard and Son showed up at my house at 10am and wondered where I was. Rescheduled the delivery for Saturday. Installer called at 2:45 Saturday, said he was on his way. Gave him my complete address with step by step instructions. I called dispatch at 5:45 wondering where he was. Installer said he would be at my house in 30 to 45 minutes. Called dispatch again at 7:05 pm, this time installer said he didn't have my address and it was not his area. Called dispatch again Saturday morning and spoke to supervisor who really didn't care either but said he would TRY to get the dishwasher out to me that day. It did finally arrive after I had wasted 2 full days at home waiting. Monday morning I called the Mit Manager Joseph Botros Jr. and he has yet to call me back. Needless to say, I will never be going back to P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ. I will stick with Sears like I should have done in the first place.

I purchased a washing machine from PC Richards. I called in for repair on my washing machine. It was working but it was making a sound. They took my washing machine apart and they refused to come back and repair it because they stated that it had water damage. I asked him to come back to put the machine together. I was told that it will come back, but I had to sign a waiver. I was told it was a two-man job, but they would be back on Saturday. They never came back. I called them again they told me to suck it up. They're not coming back. I need to call FEMA or the insurance. The company sucks. Bad customer service. I used to get my appliances from P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ I have maybe 15 things in my house from P C Richard & Son in Paramus NJ . Guess what? They just lost a customer. I'm never buying from them again. ** customer service.

It is common knowledge that electronics like this are not returnable.
You can not open it, use it and return it.
The same is true with ANY computer item.

From the PC Richards Website:

PC Richard & Son - ​the mit manager joseph botros jr told me it's not possible.

I bought a warranty from PC Richard for my computer for 5 years from 2005 to 2010. When the contract was over, I bought another one for 5 more years, 2010 to 2015. My computer crashed, I took it to the store like I used to do for repair. The mit manager Joseph Botros Jr told me it's not possible because the employee who had sold me the warranty had made a mistake, I can only have a refund.

PC Richard & Son - p c richard and son in paramus nj you won't waste your time or money there either

I purchased a Whirlpool washer and dryer at P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ 1 years ago along with a 5 year "extended warranty". I paid a little over $1200.00 for the washer. Yesterday I had a repairman come to fix my washer and he gave me an estimate of $1115.69 for parts and labor saying that my unit had no manufacturer's warranty although Whirlpool usually warrants most of their front loading machines for this problem for 5 to 10 years. He further suggested that I contact Whirlpool saying that they are usually good at working with their customers in situations like this. I tried without success. So then I looked at my paperwork from the sale of the washer and realized that I had purchased the "extended warranty" and yes it was slightly over the five years but I thought that the sales manager would help me especially since they never contacted me to renew the warranty which I would have done.

The mit manager Joseph Botros Jr.was beyond rude.I asked about the warranty and he said it was expired by over a year! Their "extended warranty" starts when the appliance is delivered. So I paid for a warranty on top of the manufacturer's warranty? Why in the world would anyone sell you a piece of crap like that? That's not how my auto warranty worked or any other extended warranty I've ever purchased. Extended means you extend the warranty Beyond that of what the manufacturer offers! He then told me that appliances only have a life span of 10 years so I just need to buy a new one and be done with it. I asked him if he would please try to at least contact Whirlpool on my behalf and help me to get some of the parts covered under a warranty. Not only did he refuse but hung up on me. Needless to say, P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ you won't waste your time or money there either

PC Richard & Son - ​he did not apologize for his staff

I just called the P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ and was treated very rudely by the alleged manager, Joseph Botros Jr.. He was so rude that I suspected him of being on drugs. After complaining that his staff had told me three different stories about the availability of a waher/dryer combination, he responded, "Well, what do you want from us?" He did not apologize for his staff. My response to his question was that I wanted him to apologize for being so rude. It didn't happen. He hung up on me.

PC Richard & Son - this store is by far the sleaziest, worst store I ever patronized. buyer beware!!!

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator in Jan. '13. The salesman didn't take the hinges into consideration when we asked for size. We had to cut cabinets $400 cost. The machine was defective. After 4 service calls, they exchanged it. Another defective one. 4 service calls and they exchanged it. They told me my model was discontinued and told me I had to pay another $500.00 if I wanted another replacement..Then they told me I had to purchase a 2-year warranty if I want to get the replacement. I paid it as I had NO REFRIGERATOR. This store is by far the sleaziest, worst store I ever patronized. Buyer beware!

On a monthly basis I call to make my payments and your automated system does not recognize my information. It states it is invalid. Due to this, I am forced to make a payment with a representative charging me an additional three dollars every month. Instead of fixing the issue I am told to go to the store to pay or make a payment online. I do not do online bill pay for any bills and I shouldn't be forced into a payment method I don't want to use. You are scamming people into paying more money. The persons I spoke on the phone with were extremely rude and mocked me because of my "making a big deal over three dollars", not realizing I could hear him. I asked for a manager who then told me he needed to transfer me to another department who gave me the runaround and stated she couldn't fix the automated system. Well who can? Ridiculous. Very poor service. I would never recommend you or make another purchase from your business in P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ.

Purchased a French Door Refrigerator Approximately less than 3 years ago. Experienced Problems with the Unit. Immediately called P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ and we were sent to service. It was the Ice Machine not making Ice. 3 times we had Service to Fix it but they could not figure out the problem and we were told its just the model or our water supply, etc., etc., etc... WELL less than 3 years later, I HAVE A HUNK OF JUNK. The unit leaks water all over our floor because Ice builds up on the bottom so we have had to put a towel on the floor so we don't slip and fall.

Now here is the kicker. We have to every two weeks defrost our freezer manually or else the ice is building in the back of the freezer creating a loud buzzing noise so we called P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ and told them that from Day ONE we have had problems. Now they have come to a point of not livable anymore. I was promised a call back but no one has even bothered. I bought my Stove, Dishwasher from them in the past and they also have problems. I will never buy another appliance from this store because it seems odd that they don't replace items that are not working when you first get them and obviously in my case don't last. We spent quite a bit of money on this refrigerator that has never worked right now not working without hours of work every two weeks putting our freezer food in a cooler and defrosting it the old fashioned way for hours just to have a functional freeze and don't forget having to use a hair dryer to get all the water out of this fairly NEW appliance. Disgusted In P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ.

I had a VERY similar experience, and would do nearly anything to see that company put out of business and the owners sent to jail!

I bought 3 appliances from them for over $1000 and ALL THREE DIDN'T WORK! So finally I got a repair person to come fix the washer and drier, but not the fridge! He came back 8 times and STILL THE FRIDGE DID NOT WORK! They stopped taking my calls. Craig Ruppert the owner was incredibly rude every time I talked with her. Kevin the repair guy stopped taking my calls. I finally asked to have the unit replaced and they didn't call me back. I fought them for a YEAR through my credit card company and finally, to no avail. I also worked with the Better Business Bureau, to no avail. I would be VERY happy to testify against them in a law suit- anyone? anyone?

Today, 2-3 years later, I just learned that my 60 year old step-father made the mistake of calling them to repair his ice-maker. NOOOOOOO! They paid the guy, and 2 visits later, STILL NOT FIXED. Sheisters. Don't know what they're doing. And Craig Ruppert has been incredibly rude to my mother! Oh I'm fuming. ...hatred is a very strong word, but these people are deserving of it. Any positive reviews I assure you are insiders.

Even the Lowes guy who delivered my new fridge, when I finally bought a new one because all my food had spoiled- he had the SAME EXPERIENCE! Told me about buy a lemon drier he had bought from them, no returns, no service, never fixed, never replaced!

STAY AWAY from P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ, but never did get the job done- then stopped taking my calls as soon as I asked for a replacement. Craig Ruppert, rude, condescending, horrible. In the end, ALL OF THEM ARE SHEISTERS!

I am furious with the store in Paramus NJ. On July 2014, I purchased a SAMSUNG refrigerator in kitchen appliances. Store at P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ. In August 2014, the refrigerator stopped working. Had to dump all my food in the garbage. Sales associate telling me to call Customer Service. Customer Service would have someone to come out and look at it. I am still waiting. Called Samsung and they say I need to contact the store. I got a refrigerator that does not work and out of my pocket. Called my Debit Card Holder, Wells Fargo Bank, and a customer representative advise me to wait until customer service technician shows up. If after that I am not satisfied with the refrigerator, I can pursue to get a payback refund on my debit card. My wife is going back to the store today, Aug. 2014, to talk to the Store Manager Craig Ruppert. .

I have a Viking four burner range with convection oven. In the 13 years I have owned this I have changed all the igniters twice, the igniter control module once and the oven door hinges twice. The latest breakdown is that the baffle under the oven floor detached due to rust, damaging the burners and ignitor. I called to make a warranty claim - "Lifetime warranty against rust, " it says in my owner's manual. I called customer service and was advised with Viking this warranty only applies to the stainless steel parts... the parts that don't rust. P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ does not stand behind their product. DO NOT BUY VIKING!

I purchase a refrigerator in 2014. I hadn't enjoy the refrigerator a whole year before we woke up to smoke. The fridge had burnt up inside. I call P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ. It took 2 weeks for a tech to come out. When the tech repair the fridge, went to use the water dispenser. The water was leaking in the fridge. I personally call the tech. He responded problem solve. This was July 2014. 3 months later, woke up again. Kitchen is smoke out. Fridge burnt up again. It took 2 weeks for a tech to come out. After calling mit manager Joseph Botros Jr.at P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ. And tech, my fridge was diagnose unrepeatable. It's going on almost a week with a response to another fridge. I call the tech to make sure he have submitted the information that they need to ensure me a replacement. Still I call P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ. Saying they waiting on the tech. I'm a diabetic that's on insulin I keep in my fridge. I'm very disappointed.

CARLOS DASILVA IS THE PERSON WHO HAS BEEN WRITTING BASHING PC RICHARD AND SON AND JOSEPH BOTROS JR. Al these comments are made by the same person..Carlos. It's amazing that CARLOS DASILVA would go thru such great lengths to write false reviews about joe Botros and pc richard for over 3years now almost every other day. You are seriously sick and need professional help. Carlos, you made hundreds of fake names under different email addresses to continue your bad review crusade. Was It jealousy that maybe he out performed you no matter how hard you tried? Or are you so obsessed with this guy joe that you would commit your entire life around him? What ever it is ..it's way past stalker status.
Carlos has done the same thing before ..to a ebayer called "Karolina (2176) "

All of these comments under different "names" about karolina on eBay are made by the same person: Carlos DaSilva, who has been banned from eBay because of his seller harassment. End of story.

He did it out of spite for being banned on eBay for harassing sellers. And he is on the same crusade with pc richard and son.

I purchased LG washer & dryer 2014. After delivery I have called everyday since trying to get someone in the store and help center to determine why washer machine was so loud. They finally sent service guy to fix washer. The two guys took off the pedestals because they couldn't balance the washer. In the process they damaged the units when trying to take them off. They were taking the units back to replace them, but their mit manager Joseph Botros Jr. 8246 told them to leave the damaged pedestals in my garage. I called the store, spoke to store mit manager Joseph Botros Jr 8246**. He stated I couldn't return the pedestals because they were damaged even though not due to my faults. I have called everyone in company and I continue to get the run around.

If you have a personal issue with this guy then you should try a different approach on handling your problem. Here's why your post is a complete lie. Any customer including myself doesnt know what mit means. That's somethting the company uses among themselves. Secondly, I been dealing with this guy for a few years now and I can vouch that he is a stand up guy. Unless you have purchased directly from him... You wouldn't have the slightest clue as to what his Id number is..Iam his customer and I don't even know what it is.
Thirdly, this is apparently your first and only post ever...hmmmm suspicious huh? The fact that you attempted to post a picture of this guys shows you have a personal issue that is not business related. Hope your life turns out better.

PC Richard & Son - p c richard and son in paramus nj mit manaager joseph botros jr and samsung about this reoccurring problem.

I purchased a washer at the end of 2013 and as of August 2014 the washer has broken 4 times since the time I received it. I have called numerous times and complained to P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ Mit Manaager Joseph Botros Jr and Samsung about this reoccurring problem and they have yet to live up to their 100% Satisfaction! In June we called for service and P C Richard and Son in Paramus said they would come and pick up the washer and give us a check to purchase a new one and then went against their word and tried to "fix it"!

PC Richard & Son - ​but the mit manager joseph botros jr. had a nasty attitude and it made my mother and my visit unpleasant.

My mother and I visited P C Richards and son in Paramus NJ this past Sunday we were looking for a washing machine in the dryer.A nice man helped us out he was very polite and nice.

We were about to buy the washing machine and dryer when my mom saw the price she made a comment how in best buy was cheaper and showed the man that's was helping us out named Mark a paper showing how much it cost in best buy. Joe went to show the mit manager Joseph Botros Jr.the paper to see what he could do so we would not leave PC Richard and Son in Paramus NJ, he did something and then he handed it over to mark who was helping us Joe did everything and called the mit manager Joseph Botros Jr for a password and then the manager checked everything marked had done and saw a few things that was wrong and he had a nasty attitude with mark and then when the manager fixed it he said that he was off by a dollar because he was comparing both prices and my mom didn't like it he had a nasty attitude and changed it with bad attitude the price so we would be at the same price. It was an unpleasant visit.

The man that helped us out was very nice.but the mit manager Joseph Botros Jr. had a nasty attitude and it made my mother and my visit unpleasant.

PC Richard & Son - they do not care about the customer

I paid for a service contract for Frigidaire fridge.HandlE broke and called them for part and service.Called them service and was told that it was ordered and would be received in 2-3 weeks.

It has now been 3 months. Called several times to complain and was told there was nothing they can do and cannot contact Frigidaire except by fax. Finally ordered the part myself and paid for it. They don't care about anything but sales.

Don't invest in service contract. THEY SUCK!

They do not care about the customer after the sale is made. MIT MANAGER JOSEPH BOTROS JR. TOLD ME 3 TIMES THAT HE WOULD SPEAK TO HIS MANAGER AND CALL ME BACK..NEVER CALLED.

I would like to leave a comment regarding the sales representative that I was dealing with. He was helpful in obtaining my quote and great with follow up. However, he just called me to follow up and to inquire about the status of my order. Upon hearing that I decided to proceed with another vendor, Mit Manager Joesph Botros Jr, he abruptly hung up on me without even hearing me out. I felt that it was very rude, disrespectful and unprofessional of him. I definitely made the right choice to not to purchase appliances from P C Richard and Son in Paramus NJ with manager representatives that conduct themselves so poorly with potential customers
