PC Geeks, Simlim Square #03 - 56 - OVERPRICED!
I went to simlim square to buy an extra adapter for my Sony Vaio laptop. As I reached third floor from escalator, I saw this shop PC GEEKS with few adapters hanging on the wall for display. So I approached this teenager guy sitting there to ask if he had sony vaio adapter and how much was it for. He immediately said he had and he dint even ask me the voltage or model number of my laptop. Anyway I knew I wanted 19.5V adapter, and he had it. He told me a price and I asked him if there can be any discount. He said, it’s the best price in this mall and he cannot offer any discount. As I dint have much time so I paid for it and took the invoice for the item. Thereafter, I went to 4th floor to get a VGA cable and I saw a newer version of the adapter in a shop on 4th floor. Just out of curiosity, I asked the price of adapter and to my shock, they were selling it for 30 PERCENT CHEAPER. I was really dejected and frustrated, so I went back to PC Geeks. I asked for refund of price difference or the full item return, first this guy acted so rude then he said “life is not fair” and smiled.
What a ripoff! Lesson well learnt, I strongly advise everyone to enquire prices on 4th floor before buying any item from this shop.

but PC geeks is very slow. their service is really damn slow. like a month...
I followed according to your steps and went to the exact same shop and bought the exact brand of adapter. Firstly, the staff in the shop were very accomodating and friendly. They displayed alot of enthusiasm and character. They quoted me pricing that was slightly higher than other shops but i can be sure that it is definitely not as exaggerating as what you mentioned. They definitely did not mention about their pricing being the cheapest in the whole of sim lim square. They did give me a fair explanation about why their adapters are at a fairly higher pricing compared to other outlets, i found it quite reasonable. I am just another customer and i am not standing on either side, but if it is the truth than i have to let it be made known and return a justice to Pc Geeks. I am pleased with the service i received from the staff and so i like to let everyone know that we should not condemn anybody just from 1 comment alone. That is my stand and what i want all IT shoppers to know.
