DON'T RENT FROM APARTMENTS MANAGED BY THIS COMPANY!!! This company is not paying out security deposits to tenants that are legally owed. They did not send any communication to us that they would not be able to pay us our deposit, we had to call and ask where our payment was since they are now 2 weeks beyond the state mandated time frame to return security deposits. I was finally told that they are in the process of refinancing and this got pushed to a later date. So RENTER BEWARE! You have to pay your debts and aren't being given the disclosure that the people you are renting from can't be held to the same expectations!!

We had something similar but more damaging happen with PB Bell at Bella Vita of Scottsdale apartments. Exactly 15 days after moving out we got a call from a collection agency about a past due bill for damages. A 40+ percent "collection fee" had been added to the bill. We had not received the bill in question and tried repeatedly to get a copy. We sent letters, stopped by the office 3 different times, and pleaded with the bill collector to supply documentation for the "damages". All this in a two week period after the initial call from the collection agency. Finally, 1 month and 3 days after moving out this mysterious bill was delivered by the post office to our new address. The letter was dated 3 days after our lease ended and the postmark on the envelop was the same date. However, the little yellow sticker the post office uses to forward mail was dated 30 days later. So we're suppose to believe the post office lost this piece of mail for 30 days, found it, and then delivered it. That's a lot to believe. To try and end the ordeal we paid PB Bell (Bella Vita of Scottsdale Apartments) the entire amount the day after receiving the bill. You'd think, "Okay, they got what they wanted, so that's the end of it", right? Not at all. The collection agency did not get their 40+ percent "fee" so they continued to bug us. Then, after a couple of months of us trying to explain why we did not owe a "collection fee" they reported the failed collection effort to all three credit agencies (Equifax, TransUnion and Experian). So, now one of my business credit cards gets cancelled due to the credit ding and I have to take my time to dispute the collection action to all three agencies. I don't think anyone could have tried any harder to resolve this immediately, but still we have this aggravation.

If you're smart you won't rent from anyplace managed by PB Bell.
