PassRite Driving Academy / Personal Abuse
****from the letter of complaint I wrote****
This Saturday the 27th, I booked with your school to sit the Basic Skills Certificate for motorcyles.
I found the lady at reception and silver haired instructor both pleasent amiable people however my experience with the maori instructor was less so. I had several times let people know that I hadn't ridden a bike in a while and it was only a 100cc bike. I expected to take a few turns to adjust to the bike and relearn the gears. My previous experience with motorcycles has been riding a YB100 from work in Manurewa to Otahuhu for over a year from [protected], in such a long time I had forgotten the gears. In any case I was happy to sit the test and if I failed I would have no issues with paying to participate in the basic driving course.
However after the first warmup lap, I was stopped by this instructor and told that I had never ridden a bike before and I was "###ing ###ting him" if I say I had. He continued in his invective until I stopped him and said that I would not be talked to like this and left. He escorted me to the door and told me "don't come here again you ###ing ###ter".
I would like to point out that at no time did I display any aggression or act in any way to provoke him, however he seemed to take personal offence at any contradiction to his assumptions about my bike riding history. I have never as a customer been treated in such a manner in my life and I will advice everyone I know to avoid PassRite Driving Academy.
