Passport Office review: Delay in getting passport 39

Hi,

I am Shreyash Mehrotra. I had applied for the passport for wife and son in the month of May, police verification was conducted in June and I am constantly checking the status on line. For my wife's passport, earlier it was showing me that passport will be delivered on 15 th July 2007. Now it's showing it will be delivered in a week's time. Now this message has been coming from last one month. My passport needs inclusion of spouse's name, which is showing, police verification report not submitted. My Son's passport got delivered in July itself.

Kindly, note that I have applied for passport on 23/06/09 and my file no is DLH - W000295 -09, named Ganga Singh, birth date 02/07/1954 and police enquary has been completed in the month of Jan. last week 2010.But my passport has not been issued till date. I have to go out side of India. I have received the appointment letter as well as Agreement.I have to go upto 20th March 2010. The letter and Agreement is enclosed herewith.

I had applied for a passport in the name of my wife, Pritpal Malhotra on 4-6-2009, File Ref F016568 and was informed that we will get the passport within 4 to 6 weeks time. It is now more than 2-1/2 months but the passportis still awaited. Under the status enquiry for the last two weeks it is mentioned passport under issue. The passport number is also mentioned over there, but still the passport is awaited.

dear respected sir i am very confused since i am not getting my passport and any recipt at what base i inquire for it. the district give me only a recipt with a number [protected]. the rewari district officer asy taht your file has been sent on the date 3/9/2008 with pic 826-pp. could you tell me about it.

I Raja Vidya Govindarajan applied for renewal of my passport .Police verification wasdone on 8th january 2007. After that I met the p.o. thrice . Last month I was promised that I will be getting my Passport by ist or 2nd week of July. My on line status states that it will be despatched by 8th july 2008. But till today I have not yet received my passport. Please kindly do the necessary so that I get my passport at the earliest.

As I was not available there during police verification I got my file transfered to Delhi.My police verification was done on 8th January 2007. After that I visited passport office thrice & met the P.O. I was promised that my possport willbe despatched on 8th july 2008. But I did not receive it yet. My online status says that poassport will be despatched by 8th july 2008. Please do the necessary so that I get my passport at the earliest.

I HAD APPLIED FOR A FRESH PASSPORT DATED 2/3/2007 AT PITAM PURA PASSPORT OFFICE IN DELHI. THE POLICE VERIFICATION WAS DONE AT MY RESIDENCE IN DUE COURSE. TILL DATE THERE ARE NO SIGNS OF ANY PASSPORT OR ANY INFORMATION IN THAT CONNECTIONRECEIVED BY ME.

Every time when i am checking my status online, the status just says that "Police report is cleared, the application is under process". This is the false report because police report is pending till date. Please confirm and submit correct information at on line status.

I fully agree with the complaints posted in this complaint board.

I had applied for fresh passport along with my family members on 07.03.2008 vide my application no. z 094812 submitted at DPC Nehruplace.

Though status of my application is showing Police Report is clear. Application is under process from the last one month but I don't know how much time is required for processing.

I sent three e-mails to the e-mail address given in the site, but department does not care to reply at least.

Hi, When I had submitted my Passport renewal application (H021990) at Delhi office on 19th dec. 2007, and police verification was done in second week 12=2=2008.
I have been checking the status online . The status just says that =Short stay (less than one year) at the given address; please send 3 personal particular forms each for verification for each other address(es) during last one year and pay applicable penalty at RPO

After the police verification also my passport was not renewed till the date Sir, I amasking, why it is not getting renewed, because, I was abroad before jan 2007, & my old passport was expire 31-12-2007. and I had also my valid visa till this year everything mention inside the passport

When, I submitted my passport application form at Delhi passport office on 21st Jan 2008, I was told that I would get my passport in third week of Apr 2008, subject to documents in order and clear police varification. The File Ref No. is H001155. The present status is :- "Application is pending for want of police report". Where as, police varification was done on 17th Mar 2008. Now I am not getting my passport what to do ?

passport verification at my college is completed till now i have not recieved my passport

dear sir, i had applied for the passport in the month of navember2007. and the dispatch date is 11/01/2008, but till now i did't get my passport. every time when i am checking my passport status since last three month, the status alwase says that the" due to some unaviodable circumstances, the delievery is delayed and within a week we will dispatch" So i don't know why it;s happened . please help me.

As many complaints, I am seeing here, Agree with it. Govt should try to improve this. If you made a rule then why pAssport offices following the Rule. It is my request to the Minister of ExternalAffairs of India that He strictly impliment of rule of Law.

I am not complaining. I have to seek some clarification.I got my son's passport with ECR (my own and my wife's passport are stamped ECNR) THE COPIES WERE GIVEN ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION FOR MY SON'S PASSPORT., he was appx 12 yrs then, now is 14 yrs.

The agent told me that I have to go there with my son to get this mistake corrected.

What is the procedure n who's at fault.Why shd I got all the way when we applied correctly.

Does anyone know about passport re verification. My details were verified by the police yet I received a call stating that re verification is needed. Is this the usual method of verification?

In the instruction booklet there is no mention for bringing the original certificates / documents for submitting the application for getting new passport. All it mentions is the notary / executive magistrate attested two copies of required documents with the application. But actually they refuse to accept the file without original documents.

My point is - If this is the real requirement, why it is not mentioned in the instruction booklet? Imagine the harassment to a person moving from Amritsar to Chandigarh to submit his application for passport, standing a in long queue for two hours and then sent back rejecting his file since he has not come with originals.
