Parts Geek very poor customer service

I have ordered a 2005 BMW 525i Wiper Blade Set. It took Parts Geek 10 days to ship the part to me. It seems a little slow, but I did not mind at first. Having opened the package I realized that they shipped the wrong part - Wiper Blade Set for BMW 325i. So I sent them an e-mail requesting to authorize a return of the wrong part and a refund. I sent the part back to their Return Center in New Jersey the next day. It has been two weeks since, but I have not received any refunds. I keep e-mailing them demanding my money back. They do not seem to care. I purchased a Wiper Balde set elsewhere, and opened a charge dispute through my credit card. The amount of wasted time and aggravation I experienced made me determined not to deal with the PARTS GEEKS ever again. Very poor customer service indeed!

No answer to email. And when they do answer its like they have no idea what im talking about. Don't answer the phone. They say there were technical difficulties.(what a joke this so called company is.)NEVER order anything from them. If you do you will be Very disappointed. TRUST ME. I ordered 3 parts I needed for a repair, they said they had all 3. One will not work without the other 2. So I ordered them. Then they said they couldn't get 1 but had already sent out the other 2. I couldn't use them unless all were available. Still fighting for a response. Been about 3 weeks. I thnk its time for the BBB to get involved. DO NOT ORDER FROM THE PARTS GEEK!

Found this website and the price for the parts that i needed was cheep so placed the order online, parts came in 6 working days (little slow most things that i order come in about 4 but no big deal) and the parts were wrong. I called for a RMA number 12 times and left 4 emails with no responece, (nobody ever answers the phone) finally got ahold of some jerk guy on the phone a week later. He told me that the parts were correct and i was not putting them incorretly, i told him that he could come over and show me how to install a wheel seal in a drum that i have done 100+ times as a mechanic of 20 years. He told me he did not have the time to do so and gave me the RMA number. I sent back the seals certified mail and did receive a confirmation number parts were delivered in 2 days. After over a month I still did not recive credit on my visa so started calling again moren then 15 calls and 4 emils I received my credit for parts only no shipping to me or back, if the parts are listed wrong I should get my money back for the shipping it's not my fault it's their error. So beware.

Parts Geek received broken parts, lousy customer service!!

Bought a quick strut assembly from them and it arrived with a broken upper strut mount. Not sure if it happened during shipping or lousy packaging. Either way it's not my problem. Submitted a "support request" and after waiting 48 HOURS here is the response I got from them:

Thank you for choosing partsgeek ! Our office and Warehouse are closed for the weekend and will resume Monday. During this time no ticket response will be given. Please resume your inquires on Monday. Also keep in mind if you place an order after 3pm Eastern time today, your order will not ship until Monday. Thank you !

Yep, you read that correctly, "WE'RE CLOSED"!

Parts Geek bad business experience

These people totally screwed me on an expensive part I returned. They act like they are on drugs. They do not answer the phone. They do not call back when requested. Each time I write them, they ask for more information and when I give it, they ask for more. Finally, they act like I'm not requesting an RMA, when I already got one and sent the part in. Now they say they will "Look" for the part. I've filed a Better Business Bureau Complaint against them. I also found out they have an "F" rating by the BBB.

I have two dozen pages of emails that have gone back and forth between them and I. A judge will laugh at them. They never respond. I've called them and can not get through on the telephone--even on the sales line. They don't take calls because they screw everybody over.

See for yourself.

My next step is to have my lawyer contact them, and then I'll file suit against them, and I won't settle out of court. I'll make them pay and pay for the court costs, because these people should not be in business.

Parts Geek poor service

Parts Geek is the worst don’t buy from them. On 06/07/2011 I ordered a part I received it and it was not the part I ordered. So after submitting a support ticket online because it’s almost impossible to get anyone on the phone, they send me a pickup ticket from UPS. I send back the wrong part and I am told that I have to pay to get the right part sent out again and I will get a refund for the wrong part sent to me. Its 07/05/2011 and I just got my refund and it is less the shipping charges. They say I am supposed to pay for the shipping, even though it was there mistake and I still do not have the part.

Parts Geek customer service

I placed two online orders with partsgeek.com in close sequence, within 10 minutes of each other. I found their customer service email, and asked them to combine the orders to save shipping costs. Their reply was bluntly that the don't do this. I replied to inform them of my disappointment.

I did not ask that either order be canceled, and waited for my parts to arrive - all the while with a car out of commision in the driveway. After quite some time, I received an email declaring a refund for the second order, though I had not asked it be canceled. Again, I replied to let them know of my dissatisfaction, and asked that they fill the order. When this did not happed, I placed the order again, through their normal ordering process.

After a very unfriendly and unpleasant interaction with their customer service staff, my second order of these same parts was canceled. Their customer service staff took a vindictive position with me and had canceled my order. It seems their view of customer service is not to expect dissappointment when they mess up, and fix the problem to please their customers, but rather approach the situation vindictively and with malice.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Worst customer service I have received from an online store. I ordered two struts (The shock thing that holds the truck open) and one was missing the two bolts that attach it to the Jeep. Instead of mailing me the missing items, they wanted me to pay to return the strut, then reorder one. This wasn't my mistake it was theres and I have to pay more money and wait several weeks. I called to try to fix this and Chris tried to explain that the warehouse was in another state, so I said call them. Incompetent idiots and I hope they go out of business.

I put in an order for parts. Four days later I had not heard from them. Sent email because they don't have a phone# listed on their website. They couldn't ship because they could not process a simple credit card transaction. I tried to deal with their customer service department which was impossible. They could not confirm my address even though the credit card co. has it confirmed on the account. I have a valid address and the card is registered to that address. They still would not process the card so I canceled the order after several emails went back and forth. DO NOT do business with these people! Not having a phone# for customer service is the first clue. Not contacting you if there is a problem is another clue. I do a lot of ordering online but have never run into any business as clueless as these folks. I will not recommend these folks to anyone. It's a waste of time and a gamble at best.

I placed an order with Partsgeek.com Thursday, May 17th, 2012 and just received it this morning May 19th, 2012. It was half the price of their competitor, their website ir professional and easy to use, provides a confirmation number and easy to read, detailed description of sale and delivery and the shipping method was fantastic and I live way out in a rural area. The part is already installed in my car and I am a very satisfied customer, Just sayin'. Thank you Partsgeek...

Parts Geek refund? you want a refund? ha!

Sooooooooo, I have ordered thousands of dollars of parts from this company. The first time I returned a part they 'lost' it and would not refund my money. Ok shame on me for not keeping the tracking number for 6 months. This last time I ordered, partsgeeks web site told me this 'brand' of brake pads would fit my bimmer. I buy them and pay for shipping only to find out that they dont fit - I contact them for rma and ask them if they will pay shipping back. They told me that they would cover the shipping back but I had to pay for it out of pocket. 63 days after the products had been returned; partsgeek decided to refund my only 54% of what I actually paid for the brakes and still didn’t refund my shipping back. So needless to say I am out about $101 total - they do not have any phone support - they have 250+ bbb complaints and 159 of them have to do with refunds or lack thereof. I have asked my credit card company to investigate this further – hope that partsgeek has the same ‘prompt attention’ for my credit card company as they do me (I should have my refund in no time.) I have also filed my own complaint with the bbb in hopes that one day online purchases are not this much of a hassle. Buyer please beware.

Sent the wrong part and They refuse to send the correct part. The frieght charge to send it back is 125.00 part was 195.00. The website listed the wrong part for my SUV. I had to call direct to the Manufacture to get the right part number, but Partsgeek still will not pickup the wrong part and/or send the correct product.

Ordered 4 TPMS straps to fit 18" Ford Wheels on a 2017 Ford Edge. Partsgeek application info showed these straps wuld fit the 18" wheel on the 2017 Ford Edge. Went to local tire store for new tires and to add wheels with the new straps. Midway throught the installation, the tech informed me the straps would not fit my vehicle. The strps were too long and could not be adjusted down enough to fit. You can imagine my frustration of having to locate them locally and paying the price, plus wasting half a day at the tire store due to the error. I sent the straps back to PartsGeek with a detailed explanation that their application was erroneous and they should change the information to protect future customers.

Well...I finally got my refund, BUT they charged me a re-stocking fee for their mistake. I gave up...you can't get anyone on the phone and must fill out a form for contact.

Will not use them again!

Parts Geek not reputable, don't take the risk...

Sent me the wrong part (not even close to what I ordered), then was vague about a refund in their email and would not pay return shipping for their error. A REPUTABLE merchant would guarantee a full refund, and would probably not force you pay shipping for their mistake. This is either blatant fraud or just idiotic business practice. I suspect both. Only 'after-the-fact' did I find this site and these eerily similar complaints.

The only way to protect yourself from Parts Geek is to abstain from purchasing from them. Once they have your money, kiss it goodbye!

Parts Geek triple billing

I received my AAA credit card bill today. On 4-20 I paid $21.94 for a parking light. Now I am charged by Parts Geek LLC on 4-14 a sum of $ 22.84 and again of 4-14 another $22.84. I called the credit card company and they suggested that in good faith to call you people about sending me a refund for the two. Why I was triple billed, I don't understand because I only ordered 1 part and that's what I paid for last month. Now I'm suppose to pay a double fee for something I did not even order.

Parts Geek wrong part received

Ordered 4 oil filters via website on 6/29/2010 order reference# 511006 (for 2010 Nissan Rogue S). This web site requires you to select year, then manufacturer, then model. Doing so I selected oil filter and selected from the list of applicable filters noting that the one selected applied for 2010 Rogue. placed the order and some time later received them. (Note these were ordered for my new Rogue and were for future use as it is only driven approx 3, 000 miles a year) The dealer provided the 1st oil/filter change free! I was going to change the oil 4/14/2011 and realized I needed the oil drain plug gasket before doing so and decided to look on Parts Geek website for them while searching I decided to compare prices now for the oil filters I had previously purchased. The NPN oil Filter part# I was sent was not listed as applicable to my 2010 Rogue and could not find this # listed. I contacted Parts Geek via email and after their research they said they don't show the filter I was sent? further, as my order was 30+ days old they would not do anything? subsequent emails stated I shouldn't have used their webpage to order and it's my fault the parts are wrong? I should have talked with someone before ordering? It's impossible to reach someone your placed on hold 5 minutes then told call volume high press # to leave msg then next you here is contact them via online and ticket# ? at any rate I selected the filters their program listed as OEM replacements. They said they do not know what they fit? I measured the ones they sent and they are 1/2 " shorter and slightly larger diameter! All I wanted was the correct oil filters! They are fixated with the 30 day time limit as if they are relieved when that time passes and they instantly become not responsible?
They will no longer converse with me all beit email as you never can talk to a real person! They got their money and I got? not what I ordered . I will not be quiet till I get my correct oil filters nothing more and nothing less . Of course a change in their customer service policy would be nice too! How many tens of thousands of people have ordered parts using their ordering software and maybe got the wrong parts without even knowing it? Shouldn't they be responsible for the program accuracy?
I want my filters now as I'm ready to change my oil now to synthetic as the Rogue now has 3300 miles with 1500 since dealer changed!
I am James J. Maguire 71 RAY ST. ROANOKE, VA. email [protected]@comcast.net And I feel as I have been WRONGED!

Parts Geek shipped empty box

Ordered a headlight lens for a 2001 Volvo S40. Box arrived with packing material, invoice and no product. Box had obviously been tampered with. Contacted Parts Geek as instructed, heard nothing for 7 days. Again contacted and asked what was the process, especially with the damaged box. No response for 24 hours and I discarded the box. Next day was contacted by Parts Geek and was told UPS would investigate. After 40 days no follow up. When contacted, was told by Parts Geek that without the box there was nothing they could do, but my their response to my comments on their poor customer service was "thanks your input has been noted". Deal with this type outfit at your own risk.

Parts Geek its not worth a lower price if they steal your money on shipping charges for out of stock items

Ordered an oil dipstick & holster funnel from this website. When I went to checkout, my shipping charge was $3.45. Added a breather hose & it showed a seperate shipping charge just for the hose itself, for $7.50. My card was charged for the cost of all 3 items & both shipping charges. A week later, I receive the dipstick & funnel, but no breather hose. No explanation for my missing part on the invoice, packing slip or by email, NOTHING. So I email them after several futile attempts to contact them by phone & get a response stating that the hose was out of stock & I should look for a refund to my card by the end of the week. I emailed them back asking if I'd also be receiving a refund for the $7.50 seperate shipping charge on this out of stock item, to which they responded that I would only receive a refund of the $3.45 shipping charge if anything. Yes, they actually said "if anything". At this point, I'm just OVER it & don't choose to argue with these ###s about the 2 seperate shipping charges & decide to just wait patently for my refund. 4 days later, still no refund, but did receive an automated email telling me my refund had been processed, and guess what? Its only for the cost of the missing hose, NO refund for shipping whatsoever. Now I do realize its only $7.50 they're ripping me off, but its not about the amount, its the principle. Save your money! Its not worth a lower price if they steal your money on shipping charges for out of stock items, PERIOD!

Parts Geek terrible customer service

Partsgeek.com sent me the wrong parts. I ordered front rotors, they sent me rear rotors. Hey, easy to fix, right? Let me send them back and send me the right ones. That would be ethical and good business. But they want me to pay for return shipping! Now I am looking at buying another set locally and paying for shipping. Oh and my car is in the shop already. Terrible customer service. Terrible policy, partsgeek.com!

Sent me a grille for a customer vehicle (2003 Chevrolet Astro van). Paid extra for shipping insurance ($3.95), and the box arrived with the grille inside and already broken. The grille was wider than the box, so whoever put it in the box in the first place broke the grille, taped it together, and put it in the box.

Of course, you can't call them to complain, you have to go on their website, fill out a claim ticket, and wait 24-48 hours for a response. Incidentally, you have to wait 24-48 hours for EACH response, so what should have been remedied the next day has now taken 4 days, with NO RESOLUTION. How is this style of customer service even legal? I wish we could report them to someone.

Figures they're from New Jersey... www.partsgeek.com is horrible and we will never do business with them again!

Parts Geek had to pay return shipping!

I ordered parts from this company and they sent the wrong bumper. I did not notice their return policy states that they will NOT pay for return shipping even if it is their fault! They would send the wrong part being that it was the largest part of my order. It probably will cost $50.00 to return it. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IF I WERE YOU!

Parts Geek shipping bait and switch

I ordered a parking brake cable from them on a Saturday. The only shipping option offered was UPS Ground (see photo) and nothing else. On Sunday I received a shipping confirmation containing a USPS delivery confirmation number! I wrote them on Sunday because they didn't answer the phone and told them there was a mistake. They still sent the part out on Monday and basically said "too bad" and wouldn't do anything. I fought with them all week while USPS fumbled with the package, losing it once, finding it again, and then not delivering it. Instead they sent me a post card asking me to come to the post office to pick it up! This is why I pay extra for UPS Ground. The part was also a day late because of this. Parts Geek repeatedly made it clear they didn't care and wouldn't even acknowledge that they railroaded me into paying for UPS Ground service. Then they shipped it USPS, which is cheaper for a reason, and kept the difference. It's a very old Internet commerce scam. Charge for fast shipping, ship it with a cheaper method, say "oops!" and then pocket the difference.

Parts Geek fraudulent practices

Ordered some parts from the Parts Geek website www.partsgeek.com. Expected to get the parts they showed on their website, since they indicated the parts were in stock. On check out the shipping was $7.50 which seemed a little high due to the small parts I had ordered, a gasket, a grommet, a Pcv hose connector, and such. They charged me $15 for shipping after the order. Two of the parts should have been Dorman parts, but were not. The PCV hose connector never shipped and the grommet was the wrong part period let a lone not being a Dorman part. This company does not apear to be a real parts store. The simply order the parts from other stores and make their money on the shipping or something like that. They have numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau and have an F rating. I am so surprized they are in business and have not been shut down. Buyer Beware ! They have numerous complaints on this site, and obviously nothing has changed ! DO NOT BUY FROM PARTS GEEK, you will not be satisfied.

Parts Geek bad service

If you like giving your money away this is the place PartsGeek.com I ordered a fuel pump an OEM part listed on their website but it is incorrect. I have been calling and emailing for over two weeks to get a hold of anyone who can give me a RMA # to return the part. Customer service SUCKS!no one picks up and no return calls, I think this is an example of a garage operation with no customer service and an incorrect catalog on the web site. I would gladly pay more at any other web site and I will in the future. This is my last order with PartsGeek. I caution if there is a problem you are stuck with IT. Buyers beware. Save yourself the aggravation and call the website before you order. If you can’t reach them keep shopping on another site.or buy at your local parts store where you have face to face people you can talk to.$200 fuel pump setting in my in my shop.

Parts Geek - ripped off on refund for returned part

These people totally screwed me on an expensive part I returned. They act like they are on drugs. They do not answer the phone. They do not call back when requested. Each time I write them, they ask for more information and when I give it, they ask for more. Finally, they act like I'm not requesting an RMA, when I already got one and sent the part in. Now...
