Per Section 47-18-3201 of the Tennessee Code, it is now illegal to use a "Vehicle Immobilization device" on "Private Property", defined as "not owned by the federal government, state (of Tennessee) or a political subdivision of the state (like a city of county). This statute expressly overrides Nashville's Chapter 6.81 - for BOOTING SERVICES. So, if you...

Parking Authority no parking spots

My block is limited to parking because of all the no parking signs and driveways on my block. I have a neighbor who CONSTANLY is parking both of his cars in the street taking up parking for people like me who have no driveway. I need to drive around for nearly a hour or park 2 blocks away if I'm lucky to find something . It's ridiculous. I paid for a parking permit yet I have absolutely no place to park ! It's not right for us who live in area's where parking keeps becoming limited mainly to all the new condos being built. Yet tickets are being handed out left and right for anyone who is desperate an give up and park in the no parking zones ( that were originally parking spots ). Action needs to be taken ASAP !

Parking Authority Law Enforcement

I received a ticket from the Parking Authority for an expired tag. Yes the tag on my vehicle was in violation of being overdue beyond the grace period by 4 hours and 5 minutes. The ticket was written and placed under the windshield wiper at 4:05am, May 1st 2016. The time of violation is printed on the ticket. I had the tag ready to put on, got the tag from Adams county motor vehicle office before the grace period expired. My only mistake was not physically putting the tag onto the vehicle in time. I live in a 152 unit apartment complex, lot of cars here, lot of "potential" for a profitable company to take advantage of people who slip up in the smallest way. I have received parking tickets before and there was always a contact number or website or something to ask questions about it. Nothing like that on this ticket. Oh yea there was a website printed on the ticket for the sole purpose to pay the ticket thru PayPal. The payment website had no contact info either. To avoid having my car towed away by these ###s for non-payment, I paid the "discounted" fine of $55. I just contacted a "friend" who would be happy to retain $10000 worth of legal advisement along with as many people who have been ###ed over by this company as well. The fund is growing. We are gathering proof this company does not represent Law Enforcement in any way and are probably collecting and keeping the fines (or a good portion of it) they impose for their own profit. The worst part of this, right now Parking Authority LLC is a legally legitimate company entitled to file "enforcement complaints". I'm betting a court of law will disagree with their "philosophy"

One last note of importance, if a legitimate law enforcement officer say the westminster police or adams county sheriff wrote the ticket on my vehicle I wouldn't be complaining so much about it. At least I would have someone to talk to about it.

Parking Authority Towing

I live in an apartment on private property that my aunts husband owns the entire complex. I woke up to find my car missing. After calling the towing company associated with my apartment complex I found they haven't towed anyone from there in over two years. After calling the police to find my car was towed by this scam of a company I reached out to see how much it would cost to get my car back. The woman I spoke to hung up on me several times, refused to let me speak to a manager, give me a managers number or provide me with any information?. After I asked her why my car was towed she told me it was parked at a completely different place then it actually was! I had never been to or heard of the place she was claiming my car was at. The fact that they have to lie and cant provide any proof just shows how shady this company is. My car had absolutely no reason to be towed. In the state of Colorado towing off a private property requires a signature from the property owner to tow. After only one day I am being charged $600 ? This company bullies and scams people out of their cars and money.

Parking Authority Out of state tags

I just moved to Denver from Texas and have been working on getting my car registered in Colorado. It's a completely different process and being that the offices are closed during my normal work hours it hasn't been an easy situation to register my car. My tag literally expired THIS MORNING! I left for lunch came home to a parking violation for my license plate being expired! This is crazy, you should have a courtesy window of how many days you have to fix your registration before it is considered a violation. This company is stealing money that isn't even considered under city ordinance. THANKS PARKING AUTHORITY!

I was given a $75 ticket for invalid plate. my plates are registered to me and my car. Two days prior has was going to hook-up and tow my car for being 2 feet out of driveway. I stood in his way and said he would get me. i am finding it very hard to dispute this. I feel trapped into paying this ticket.

Parking Authority Dishonest business practice

I wanted to alert everyone that Parking Authority LLC is a dishonest business issuing tickets and towing cars and then bullying people to pay. The name of their business is misleading and makes the public think they are an official authority or city entity. I'm going to file a complaint with the attorney general and sue their company. Beware of these ### they are not with a city!

Lot of ### ### whiners. Fix ur ### and they wont bother you. If you got a ### ticket or towed its obviously ur fault. If you just follow the rules u never have problems. Dobt see why its so hard for people these days. If you got towed for parking in handicap or firelane you god damn deserve it for being that stupid.

This company took my car with a permit as well. Then the made me pay 300 to get it back even though i made it back to their yard before my vehicle did. They told me that my leasing office had it towed but my office said they didn't. That fat ### driver was rude and so was thw lady at the office. They told me that they didn't care about a permit and will tow anyone anytime they want.

I was delivering a pizza at an apartment complex and was gone 3-4 minutes max and my car was gone. They said it was because I parked in a fire zone. I did not. They must have been watching me, knowing I was working. Here is a picture of the spot I parked in. It is not marked as a fire zone. They want $300 to get my car back. Meanwhile, I lost a day's worth of tips and will continue to lose because I don't have the $300.

All of you people complaining about getting tickets and your vehicles towed are the same kind of people that complain about the police after they get caught for breaking the law. It's real simple, if you don't want us around then make sure that your plates are current, your vehicle is properly permitted for the property, your vehicle doesn't have any flat tires, your vehicle has to be able move under in own power, park your vehicle in your assigned parking space. If you fail to do this then, yes, we will come through and ticket/tow your vehicle at YOUR EXPENSE. If we do give you a ticket and you don't fix what we ticketed you for then in 72-96 hours, we will tow your vehicle, if you don't pay the ticket we will tow your vehicle. It's simple, follow the rules where you live and you won't have any reason to be ticketed or towed from the company, don't follow the rules and you will be ticketed and/or towed.

My concern with this company is as follows:

* The style of ticket misrepresents itself as being affiliated with the City of Denver. They should print "Not affiliated with the City and County of Denver" on the form.
* The reason for the violation is in print that runs off the side of the ticket. I can't read it, in my case
* There is no fair dispute process mentioned on the ticket or website

The yellow tickets aren't shady or fake. If you receive one, you are in violation. If you choose to do nothing about the violation, you will be towed. If you choose not to pay the citation, you will be sent to collections.
A few other pointers...
-Yes, Colorado gives a 30 day grace period for expired tags. This does not apply to private property. The property sets guidelines for Parking Authority to ticket or tow. IF the property wants to give a 30 day grace period, they may. If they choose not to, your car will be ticketed/towed.
-Yes, tow drivers may leave their trucks parked outside the property and look for violators. The people this upsets are the same people that are upset with cops driving unmarked police cars. It's evident, you are a violator and don't want to be caught.
-The tow company is hired by properties for your benefit. If you have an assigned parking space, do you want somebody parking in it? How does it make you feel to see a fit young man park in a handicap parking space. Do you enjoy seeing broken down vehicles on your property? There must be consequences for these violators. In most cases, the violators are given an opportunity to fix the violation with a citation before being towed. If the violator is immediately towed, they were parked somewhere they shouldn't be and their car needed to be removed immediately.

This company seems sketchy at best. My son was parked in a visitor parking spot at an apartment complex in Denver. When I asked to see pictures of this "illegal" parking spot, I was told drivers take picture but because of liability issues they cant be shared. I'm going to call the better business bureau and let them know but from all the reviews I can find, I'm sure the BBB has heard negative things about them before. This company is full of bully, lying scam artists.

I had my car towed this past week and it cost me 200+ dollars to get my car back. I was so pissed off one of these parking authority people had towed my car, and i didnt even hear or see them do it..i went down immediately to retrieve my car and i wanted an explanation on who or why my car had been towed..i was told I had parked in a redzone/fire lane..long story short once i got back to my apartments i drove past the spot my car had been towed from and wouldnt ya know it as plaStillin as day painted both on the curb and on the asphalt was red painted words "no parking fire lane" along with the curb being painted bright red for about ten yards in either direction. So really the only person I could be pissed off at once I quit being pissed off, was myself. If we cannot follow directions or use a little common sense then I suppose you may not be fit to be in society especially if we can't do something as simple as follow a simple parking Direction. If you are unsure of what the rules are for parking at your property I suggest you get with somebody you know and find out this way you will never have to be a victim of your own demise... Lesson learned on my end

Your may have been legit but this is a shady pos company. Dont you find questionable that they're fake tickets look just like the City and County of Denver real tickets? When did tow companies start law enforcement, just curious if you know?
