Pardons Canada Unauthorized Credit Card Charges

I talked to Pardons Canada on the phone last week November 2, 2023, to get information about how to start the Pardon process. They asked for my credit card information, and I asked very clearly if I would be charged, and they said NO I would not, it was just to get it on file to get things ready should I choose to use their services. The next day I noticed a charge to our credit card. I immediately e-mailed them to say I did not authorize that charge, and they replied yesterday by sending me a refund form. I filled it out the same day, and today they said they would not be refunding because by giving the credit card information I had authorized a deposit of $250. There was no discussion of deposit on the phone, they straight up lied to me when they said I would not be charged. I did not authorize payment or hire their services - I was only seeking information so that I could make an informed decision. I have been scammed. Do not trust this company.

Claimed loss: $250

Desired outcome: Refund

Pardons Canada Pardon of record

I have been waiting over three years and had to pay additional fees. Andrew Tea, as mentioned by any others, told me a courthouse is backlogged and due to 100+ other customers ahead of me they cannot access my files. The problem is I just called that courthouse today and they sent my file right to Pardons Canada on my behalf. It was one call for me to do their work. They have been ignoring me for years, refuse to refund money. They will not answer questions, will not return emails. I had to cc them in an email to my old municipality to get them to respond to my issue they are ignoring. They won't provide any useful information regarding my file.

Desired outcome: Refund or immediate closing of file

Pardons Canada Service not rendered for that which was charged

April 4, 2022

To the owner

c/o of the Office Manager

Pardons Canada

45 Saint Clair Avenue West

Suite 901

Toronto, ON M4V 1K9

Toronto, ON M1M 1P1

Dear Sir/Madam:

Re: Attention – Owner / c/o Office Manager

Please find that today, April 4, 2022, I file a formal complaint against the way I was treated by your company staff (s) member (s) and to also file a complaint regarding my file of more than 13 years ago approximately that I paid for and understood it was a file destruction. Today I found out it was just a pardon. I contacted Ottawa and the male staff told me to contact your office because for some reason a file destruction application was not submitted, bot a pardon for same.

It turned out that my sealed file, was given to a police officer of 42 division when I attended my settlement conference at civil court for my case against the division for my original false arrest. My file was already sealed years prior. I contacted the Parole Board and the male staff told me, that is not possible” because your file may only be unsealed for a serious criminal case but not for a Civil case and further, no staff of a civil case should have access to it, in fact, I am the Plaintiff of a class action that came up for compensation on March 22, 2022.

Now, I called today and got a male staff at your office who did not give his name, but I hope that your calls are recorded. He continuously cut me off instead of listening to what I called for and what my case was and what the Parole Board staff told me, he decided as if he knows what I am about to say.

Next, I went on the chat, I got Aubrey and was not helpful because your question and answers does not include what my questions are and there is no tab for *Other as a choice so I can write in my question. She ended the chat as soon as I ask to have the manager or owner contact me so I can escalate my issue.

Further, I went back into chat after she ended the chat with no help as your automated q and a does not help my case. I then got Jacob, he did the same think, q and a does not address my issue and he also ended the chat when I ask to get on to the office manager or the owner, not a nice way to treat your customer that you took hundreds of dollars from and botched my file destruction case that never happened.

With that said, I took screen shots and printed them and sent it off to the Parole Board with my query for them.

The male staff there told me to try and get on to the office manager to open an escalation and each time I was either hung up on or had a chat ended once I ask for the manager. Well, this need to be escalated and as long as I paid for a service that I did not receive and in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 2001, I have the right to escalate for resolution and next steps.

I file this complaint as if under oath, chat and recorded call exists.

At this time, I request in writing for the office manager or the owner to contact me verbally via telephone so I can know what they did in the process I paid for and why it’s a pardon rather than file destruction. The Parole Board told me that they process based on what application your office submitted and they were unable to instruct me on getting a copy of my application submitted to them by you.

Regards.

Is Pardons Canada legit?

Our verdict: Complaints Board's thorough examination reveals Pardons Canada as a legitimate entity with notable strengths. Despite a 14% resolution rate on customer complaints, which invites a closer look, Pardons Canada stands out for its commitment to quality and security. Clients considering Pardons Canada should delve into its customer service record to gauge compatibility with their expectations.

Pardons Canada earns 91% level of Trustworthiness

Perfect Trust Endorsement: Pardons Canada achives 91% ligitmacy per Complaints Board. Highly recommended, yet always stay vigilant.

The age of Pardons Canada's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While Pardons Canada has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 14% of 14 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • Pardons.org has relatively low traffic compared to other websites, it could be due to a niche focus, but could also indicate a potential lack of traffic and popularity. The pardons.org may offer a niche product or service that is only of interest to a smaller audience.
  • Pardons Canada protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.

Pardons Canada Criminal Pardon

I've been trying to get a criminal pardon with Pardons Canada for over 2 years now. This has been a horrible experience dealing with these people.

I've been lied to on numerous occasions. I mailed documents in last year to be processed, after months of waiting. I contacted them and they claimed they never received them. So I agreed to fill them out again only to get the run around for weeks after. Now they informed me they did have them and they would forward them to the Parole Board. I then received a letter months later in January of 2022 stating the fees had changed with the Government and I was entitled to a refund. The letter stated if I wanted to continue with my pardon to simply mail in a $50 money order and it would be sent off to the Parole Board. So I immediately sent them the money order hoping to get this issue finally dealt with. Months went by and I hadn't heard anything. Finally received a follow up email stating if I wanted to continue with my pardon I needed to mail in the money or use a credit card. So I contacted them once again, only to hear once again that they had not received my letter. I don't know what to do at this point. I honestly can't deal with this company any longer. I've paid around $700 so far and I just want my pardon finalized. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone going forward.

Desired outcome: Pardon finalized

They will continue to lie to you, they will hang up the phone on your, they will end your chat and try to get you to use questions and answers robot which does not address your specific question. They will refuse to forward a request to the office manager or the owner of the business and give you the run around after they take your money, what I know, you can contact the Parole Board with your file number, I sincerely believe it can take up to four years though, speak directly with the Parole Board in Ottawa, they will take your call.

Pardons Canada Unethical behaviour

December 29, 2021
Client # 502583

On Nov 28th - I received a call from their office. The lady asked me to resend another photo copy of my drivers license, passport or birth certificate with my signature. I had already sent these items in last May however she claimed that they sent it in to the RCMP to soon to ask for a pardon and that the RCMP declined stating that they have to wait 1 full year from the arrest. In the beginning Pardson Canada told me they would apply 1 year after the crime however now they changed that version.

I did as they asked and sent my ID 2 pieces as registered mail. The post office attempted to deliver it however the reception didn't accept it and it got sent back to the post officer where it's been sitting since Dec. 6, 2021.

I emailed Pardons Canada on Dec. 14th to ask if they received it. They replied that I need to wait another 2 to 4 weeks as the mail is slow at this time of year.

I emailed again on Dec 23rd at which time I didn't get any response not even an auto reply. These were not holidays.

I attempted to call the office many times only to get music or prompts and no option to speak with anyone or leave a message.

I emailed again on Dec. 29th and again not on a holiday and only received an automated reply stating there's nobody there. My friends as well as my Master Card Company all felt this is a scam. This company is advertised as an A + company and Master Card said, "they aren't conducting themselves as an A+ company."

All along I discovered through my tracking # that Canada Post attempted delivery and my parcel was being held for pick up since Dec 6, 2021. Why? It was being held because there was nobody at the reception area at: 200 - 440 Laurier Ave, Ottawa, Ont. to receive it.

I began to panic and wrote a couple more emails. One email telling them I want a refund and will contact my Master Card to have that done immediately and another email with the work and only one work F*K.

So Tim James called me immediately. He attempted to resolve however instead of resolving this issue. He caused it to escalate. In his first call I was calm and grateful to hear from him. He said they won't pick it up at the post office and that I must mail in another 2 photocopies signed and sent by regular stamped envelope as he insisted he will not go to the post office.

I happily agreed and said I would resend it. Then he called back and instead of working with me told me he contacted the "compliance department" and filed a complaint because of the email with the "F*K" word in it. This took me by surprise. I told him I'm not listening to this. In not time he was forcing his opinions and both of us were yelling at each other. I told him, I do want the compliance department to contact me immediately.

The next thing I know. He emailed me, closed my file for abuse and stated that they are forbidding any further contact and not only that. Tim James told me he's going to forward all of the information and emails to the RCMP for them to consider reopening and convicting me again.

Not only will they not reply to my request for a refund since they don't want to finish what I paid to them. Tim James is not doing what I paid him to do and instead he's using the 500.00 I paid to have my pre conviction record pardoned and instead using it to encourage the police to re open my file and convict me. He's using everything against me.

Their accusation that I was unable to conduct myself professionally is not true. I am the client and the professionalism is solely the responsibility of the business to conduct themselves professionally not the client. The clients responsibility is to do as they ask of the client to that they can do their job and I did EVERYTHING that was asked of me and I've bent over backward to attempt to carry this to the end in order to resolve my request to have my record cleared and it is the company that has not only dropped the ball, they have refused to complete the work after 7 months of working with me.

Can you help? I would like a complete refund. I paid 400.00 + 78.75 for finger prints. I'm not requesting that they finish the final purge stage because I've lost all faith that they will actually do it. I don't trust this company.

My # is [protected] and my email is [protected]@shaw. ca
address: 491 Stirling Ave, Nanaimo, B.C. Canada V9R 5R5

Sincerely,
Shelley Rinas

Desired outcome: Complete Refund

Pardons Canada False advertising

I had gone to Pardons Canada last year to get my pardon done and they had written on their website that they would acquire all the documents for the pardon. They have committed fraud and have had multiple complaints about them. Andrew Tea is a criminal and so is anyone who works for that company. I have requested an explanation as to what it is that their service actually does but they still to this day have not clarified what it is that they do and why they charge more than the pardon application fee and for what reason? All the documents were collected by me and nothing was done on their behalf as stated on the website. I wish to encourage anyone who has been wronged by Andrew Tea or Pardons Canada gang of cronies to reach out to me. Together we can file a lawsuit against them. One person may not be enough but if we gather together and present our case to the Crown as a group then the criminal will have to pay restitution and serve time behind bars. Please contact me mr.[protected]@gmail.com. Thank you and you're not alone. Together we can defeat these evils in the world using the court system.

Desired outcome: Refund and criminal charges

Pardons Canada Didn't do the service promised

The manager hung up on me! This company lies to you! Then they tell you to wait 18 months to 2 years saying it takes a long time to get the process going, then when you call back finally they tell you it's too late now they didn't receive the documents they needed and they've closed your account. Now, you'll need to pay over 1, 000 to just re-open your account. It's a scam! Awful call your credit card company and get your money back.

Desired outcome: Refund!

Pardons Canada confirmation that pardon application is active

Pardons Canada
attn: Andrew Tea

This is to confirm that I DO NOT want my Request for Pardon file to be shredded! Please ensure that my file is ACTIVE and being Processed.

I have been in contact with Pardons Canada consistently since my initial application and for some reason myriad of my e-mail contacts and as well my phone calls have not been acknowledged. As well, my local RCMP Detachment have advised me that they also have not received acknowledgement of their correspondence to Pardons Canada.

I have paid too much money to Pardons Canada for them not to continue processing my Request for a Pardon.

Also, be informed that I was married last month, ergo my last name is now Katherine JMA Underhill-Way.

Please confirm receipt of this message and that I am not being scammed

Sincerely,

Pardons Canada Waiver services

It has been a year since i first paid what i thought was 250$ for initial service that included waiver application. then received receipt for total taken from credit card of 890$. Upon reading finer print does not include application fee.
Now 4-6 months waiting for court documents i go get them myself and send them. After two weeks and no word i find out they were never received. So i resend via fax. told need to be reviewed now its been 4 weeks. getting them documents that i have procured myself has taken a month and they say we are busy don't call us we'll call you. How they can even call themselves Pardons Canada is beyond me and since removing all the money off my cc right away i really have no recourse. I have asked many times that they send all my personal documents back to me but they said no. Im concerned at the level of personal data that is at risk. If i don't just wait and hope or move on then really nothing i can do.

The same Pardons Canada that doesn't even reply to calls or emails. Its always one excuse after another. Been a month since the court sent the REQUIRED documents to pardons Canada. Still waiting for the next Step. Andrew Tea (which now I am wondering if that is even his real name) doesn't even reply to emails or updates. I only wish I would have read these comments before getting involved with these scammers.

Pardons Canada pardon

paid for services NOT rendered by F.P.C. in Feb. 2011, no status updates when requested, done everything required of me to the letter, such as having prints taken for RCMP, also background check fees for Toronto Police and a second set of prints for the process promised from FPC ONLY TO BE COMPLETELY LEFT IN THE DARK by this so called business.I was promised, in the companys ad. there was a 100 percent money back guarantee...They wont respond to any communication and its painfully obvious these people, namely Carla Lopes and Alex Keeling are really something other than what they say they are...I NEED HELP to go after these fraudsters...who do I turn to?
