Palais Royal review: outragious rude manager and clerk 1

Outrageous! not only no customer service for what I was shopping for but RUDE managers that were nearly threatening manner. December 23 shopping for xmas gifts. Went in found shoes I wanted but no shoe person in department. 3 other people were waiting in shoe department too and said they have called someone and not one of the managers would leave the register area. Finally one manager "Evelyn Smith" a manger named "Melissa Shultz" told me came up and as fast as she could told the 3 people in line looking for shoes "we don't have your size" without even looking for the shoe on the rack or in the back. She was trying to get rid of shoppers as fast as she could. When it came my turn, I said "if its not too much trouble for you... please help me find this shoe in my size" Without even going to the shelf she states "we do not carry that in your size" she did not look for anything near my size or asked if I wanted another style. As its obvious she was just killing time to make a paycheck, I asked her if she would please help me find something else. "if its not too much trouble for you..." She flippantly waived here hands in my face ( a threatening gesture) and told me to "change my attitude now or she will walk away and not even talk to me" She said "I won't be talked to like that." I said I would tell here manager she said "go ahead I don't care" NONE of the employees have name tags so it does not matter how they treat customers. (or so they think) (I do not know if the manager even gave me the correct names) I went to the desk and asked for the store manager. Someone named "Melissa Shultz" was there and the rude clerk "Evelyn Smith" whispered in here ear. I will never shop in Palais Royal again. Is this what shopping has come to? being threatened by rude sales clerks that just stand around and insult the customers? Other customers standing at the counter when I was telling the manager looked worn, tired and exhausted. they all nodded in agreement with me as I stood up to complain about rude service. TERRIBLE PLACE TO SHOP AVOID THIS STORE PALAIS ROYAL AND DON'T SHOP THERE... WALMART EVEN LOOKS GOOD COMPARED TO THEM AND WE ALL KNOW HOW BAD WALMART IS RIGHT? I WILL SHOP ONLINE FOR EVER MORE... SSHHHEEESSSH!

In the "olden days" 20 or more years ago, if an employee treated a customer like this they would be fired on the spot, an apology made to the customer. This rude employee told me she did not care to wait on me ****IN FRONT OF THE OTHER MANAGER THAT JUST STOOD THERE***** so now days this is acceptable behavior? There is no "accountability for an employees attitude or actions at work. If people get on facebook and twitter... tell everyone not to shop here! I think customers everywhere should stand up and demand to be treated with respect!

so don't shop at palais royal... its not any fun...

I think you need to realize there are no extra shoe sizes in the back of the store. The only thing that will be back there is freight and a break room. Have you ever worked in a retail store before? This has turned into back bending work where customers treat employees like dogs and as a customer it's really hard to see. There is a simple question I would like to ask you. Would you treat anyone with kindness when you aren't treated the same way? Many more "rude" employees would be more than glad to help you if you kindly ask them a question. You started off the question like this. "if it's not too much trouble for you...". This is already starting off to be a sarcastic statement. I think you need to realize as a customer, these employees are human too. They are in these jobs because they need money and they are constantly yelled at and taken advantage of. Please realize how rude you are being instead of acting in a very inhuman manner.
