The management here are inconsiderate.
We moved in Dec/2009 and have had numerous complaints! There were roaches in our first apartment so we had to sleep somewhere else. Management refused to give us a discount on rent. It took them three days to decide weather or not they were going to bomb the place for bugs or move us to another section.
We found roaches in our next apartment. I called on a Wed to see if they would do something about it, lay down traps etc. Everyday they said someone would come and everyday I had to call and remind them that we were waiting. It took a whole 7 days for them to send someone to put roach get in crevises. I could have done that myself!
They have placed numerous notices stating we owe $$ when in fact we did not! Then turn around and say we have a credit, which I'm not sure where that came from.
The walls are very thin! At this very moment my daughter is trying to sleep and I stress trying for there are maintence crews above us replacing carpet. It sounds like they are bowling with gorillas! I called the Front Office to suggest that they alteast give a heads up and they said we do not do that.
I've talked to other residence of this apartment complex and they all had a story of their own about management. As soon as our lease is up we are leaving. We are not happy nor are we satisfied with the way they run their business.
I have lived in this unit for a year and was promised that my rent would not increase when my year was up, in fact they told me that rent increases where rare. I pay my rent on time never late and do not cause problems we fix problems with the unit are self's because of the office staff blows us off. Now they want us to pay almost 100.00 more a month, but they are advertising the unit on Craig's list for 100.00 less then we are paying now. This makes no sense so we move out and they loose 1200.00 a year and maybe get a tenant who pays late and causes problems. Be wear not only will you have trouble getting things fixed to the point of doing it your self but your rent will JUMP after your year is up .Pacific Gardens I think at one time you could call home for years to come, but not anymore. if you move here plan on your rent increasing allot and on fixing things your self.
I had a tenant who lived above us who was loud and disruptive playing loud music early in the morning slamming doors slamming her feet to the point are ceilings and walls shock, . we asked the office to ask the tenant to quite down a bit but nothing was done. The night time was the worse we could hear her having sex so loud we could not sleep in your bedroom. it was so bad we had to transfer apartments. The office down played are troubles with this woman.
I used to work there... the above complain sounds accurate... they are horrible people to their core and laugh at all complaints. You're more liely go further with the two beasts if you tell them their pretty or are an attractive male. Lorena sleeps with every man possible and Linda hears voices in her head that tell her shes the most superior person alive... sick twisted people.
Linda and Lorena in the office are racist against caucasian americans and made that clear. We heard them making racist comments on more than one occassion and the way they treated us as compared to Hispanic-American tenants was blatantly different even while each of us were standing in the office.
We had a dead rat in our walls for two weeks before they sent someone out and the stench was so terrible we could barely be home. I had to call and threaten after they lied to my wife multiple times to even get someone out there.
We had mushrooms and mold growing out of celing and again this wasn't taken care of for over a month. In that month my wife was intimidated intentionally by Lorena in her tone of voice and words and the ofice perpetually lied to us with statements such as "we will have someone out there tomorrow."
When the time came to go in and directly and professionally confront these two women after that month, we walked in and the manager (Linda Van Vliet) screamed over the top of everything we attempted to say professionally and calmly, and then proceeded to charge my wife as well. We eventually yelled back and walked out.
Linda actually had the nerve to contact the police about us after she was the one that intimiated, attempted assualt, screamed over the top of everything we said, etc. We gave no option but to get us out of our lease early, which they acommodated. Now we are in the process of beginning a lawsuit for rent damages. We will be sueing for every month we lived there. Lastly, we will be filing intimidation criminal charges against Linda for her conduct. This is in the hopes she gets fired, which is long overdue.
This is the most unprofessional, racist, and infuriating staff I have ever come across in the United States of America. Lorena and Linda are not only horrendous at their jobs and theives with utilities etc., but they are extermely rude, nasty, dishonest, and terrible people at their core.
Not only should you avoid this place, I would make it a point to let everyone know to absolutely never consider this place if you hear ANYONE mention it. The worst experience literally of my life, and I spent a few years homeless.
I am proud to say that we are taking legal action on behalf of everyone who has had to tolerate this painfully ignorant staff.
horrible place to live! maintenance is horrible, management is horrible.
its a horrible but place to live. the staff is very unhelpful. I havent yet had issues with cockroachs or maint. but when I moved in I put Boric Acid down around the cabniets and doors, so their would be no bugs and roachs. Only stuff that kills them! the noise is loud, lots of kids and dogs, but u get use to it. Kids I dont mind, its a family friendly complex whicj is nice. I
The walls are super thin, u can hear everything others say if u listen. Noise during the day is really loud. Neighbors arnt allowed to smoke or stand out on the sidewalk, but they do it all the time in spite of numourous warnings on our doors. The smoke comes in through your windows that you cant shut because its so hot! Its awful!
Utilites change dramatically. For a 1 bedroom I started out paying 140, then 100, then 145. It moves back and forth.
