Etihad us certainly not the worlds top airline. I travel frequently from Ktm-Auh-Man on every flight the choice us rice, rice or rice. However my main complaint us the Etihad Guest programme. I registered last October with my wife, I was told by guest services in Abu Dhabi that the card could take as long as 9 months to be issued. Since May 2014 I have travelled this route 4 times and not one has been recorded with the guest programme. Customer Services don't exist with Etihad as most people have found you never get an answer to the questions posed just what seems the automated response. The problem I have is that my registration or my wife's cannot be found and yet our email addresses are recorded. Even having re registered, making several complaints all that I get is that you can only claim back 3 months instead of the year with most airlines. Even so 4 return flights since May and still no air miles. Etihad are one of the most expensive airline charges for excess baggage, the lose and break luggage and yet they still claim to be the worlds best airline, not sure who the world travel awards look at but cannot be many airlines they look at. I agree aircraft, staff are great but you only find out how good someone us when it all ties wrong, Etihad are awful
