I brought my GMC Suburban in for bumper repair, along with a scratch on the rear door, and taillight damage. I backed into something. This collision shop was recommended to me, so I drove 20 minutes to it, passing several other collision shops. After they had my car from Frid to Monday, it was ready for pickup. When I picked it up, I noticed the bumper was different. This new bumper had sensor holes all along it, my previous one was solid, with no sensor holes.
I informed the owner, and he said good, you like it. Well, when I brought the car home, my husband was livid. The new bumper was crooked, probably because it didn't have all the brackets on. It looked crooked to me now also. The owner of a car accessory installation place said it was crooked and missing brackets also.
So, my complaint is that I had to make a second trip to the collision shop, after they ordered the correct bumper, for a new installation. What poor service to actually install the wrong bumper. It obviously did not match the bumper they removed. No phone call, no explanation when I picked it up. I noticed the difference and told them!
The owner said there were no brackets missing from this different bumper, but how well can I trust him. Seems like he was trying to "pull the wool over my eyes" and save a buck for ordering the wrong part!!!
