Overnight Genius / Unauthorized billing!

1 United States Review updated:

I too ordered a complete 3 disc set on Mastering E-bay from Overnight Genius for $4.95 shipping. There was nothing in the Terms & Conditions saying I had ten days to look it over. When I checked my bank account, Overnight Genius charged me $76.41, I called them to tell them I haven't even opened the box yet and would like to send it back and get a FULL refund, I was told NOT to send the discs back and that there would be no refund no matter what. I was basically told over the phone that I was ROYALLY SCREWED out of my money. I think we all should SUE these ba***rds together!

I keep having them send Overnight genius CD course to my home and charging me 78.41 again and I cannot reach them to tell them I am not ordering these things and to give me my money back. I am on a fixed income and do not have the extra money. This is a scam and I can send the boxes back if I have the address and I want my money to be put back in my checking account.

Stop sending any more of these overnight genius; I have received the ones that I wanted. I will not authorize payment for any more of these.

Thank you for your anticipated cooperation, Stephen Running. I will send the cd courses back and I would like the charge reimbursed to my credit card. Please respond to this e-mail so I will know what is going on.

I had the dame problem, but before I realized it I had three boxes sent from them and m bank card charged without my authorization. If I had known they were going to send these courses with out my authorization I would not of sent for the first ones. Also I was supposed to get a dinner for two at my favorite restaurant, which I have never received. Does anyone have the solution to clear this matter up. If so how do I do it. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem with an unautherize charge, and here is the kicker... I never signed up for it, the just started showing up shortly after I had bought a new computer. I thought that it was junk mail. I had saved them just in case and found out that my account had been charged $78.41, this chage led me to be short on my rent this month, and I have a new baby that I am careing for, I can't afford what they are doing to me. I have tried to contact them several times with no luck, they say that I need to call during the hours of 6am and 9pm... I called at 8am and again at12pm and then again at 3pm. I need help to stop this if anyone out there has advise..I'll take it!

my teenage son was duped by this company, possibly via a 3rd party site. i went to the site and everything makes you think you are getting software at a low price. you have to dig into the fine print to discover you will not only be charged for the intro software, but you are signing up for a monthly subscription. it's totally deceptive and their customer service is unapologetic. is this the only way they can get people to buy their product? has anybody had any luck in forcing the issue?

This is just like any other scamster company. I don't know anything about the product, I just know I havn't been screwed by them at all. I've had a positive experince with customer service.

You gotta play it smart on the internet though. Never use your personal credit card. Use a recharable one or a virtual credit card through paypal.

Also there is a policy where to have a trial, you have to have the product at your house. You have a certain amount of days to cancel. To cancel you have to get a RMA from the company, and then send your package to them. I just did that and it was canceled, received a cancelation email and everything.

Not preaching, hopefully helping. I always use paypal virtual cards. Its free.

the same thing happened to me I payed the shipping and all that and then I go to check my account and theres 76 dollars missing. I never got anything that would let me confirm this payment. I called the number and the representative was very rude and told me I could not get my money back but the transaction had not gone through on my account, and I was told I could not get a refund. We all need to turn to the BBB and sue this company for all the scams they pulled over on poor people. I would like to start a group to help bring them down, if intterested email me at arj90@aol.com I need everyones help to bring this scamming corporation down

I do think they are a shady business, but it does read in the terms and conditions it is a 10 day trail and you must cancel before the trial is up or you will be billed the $78.41 and be "subscribed" each month there after. So it is not against the law. However, my little brother was on a 3rd party site and signed up with my card. Legally I have a right to a refund.

Everyone involved in this scam needs to go to this link, the us postal inspectors and file a complaint about this company. We need to bring this company down before more people become victims.

    http://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx

Because it involves items coming through the mail I was told by my local post office that I should file a complaint with the postal inspectors.

Please do this and help save others!

Overnight Genius - Billed me for something I didn't order
    Software Programs
    United States
    www.overnightgenius.com/

This company sent me software programs for windows that I did not order. Somehow they got access to our credit cards and billed us. When the cd's came they was no letter no nothing explaining why we received them. When I called them they said that the person ordering them used the email address wayneshwrth@gmail.com.

We have no idea who this is but they used our credit card number.
