changes made to my profile
I have been a paid member of the Our Time dating site so I'm familiar about how this dating site works. I changed my profile photo this morning (July 29, 2017) and when I came back this afternoon it was changed to another photo. This has happened twice in the last month. The photo I had chosen both times was not vulgar or indecent. In fact, the photo I had posted this morning, I am wearing a jacket. They never give you a reason for deleting a photo or deleting a profile. I would like to know why when there is no apparent reason for it.
subscribing to the our time site
I am used to many a dating site but Our Time which you cleverly cover up as part of Match.com has not met with any of my expectations.
For a start it is an incredibly complicated website to navigate and although I chose the one month subscription (thank God) I have yet to receive any credible response from the men I have winked at or emailed. It appears that you have pulled through a number of profiles from other sites and the matches you seemingly say that I have never appear on the blender or anywhere else which makes me think this is a con in getting you to sign up.
I know this as I recognise some profiles from zoosk, ok cupid and reading some of the profiles there seems to be a lot of cut and paste going on in that someone says they are British but their profile indicates they are decidedly American in that they are into baseball and one man quoted a song that is obviously known in America only.
I have no doubt you will smooth over the issues I have raised but having done some research on the internet they echo exactly what others have found wrong. Obviously if you pay more e.g. the 3 month subscription Our Time will then pay ball and give you the profiles and ability to contact people otherwise you fall short and are left with totally incompatible and quite frankly desperate looking men. If you are going to fake it try and do it properly e.g. look at the profile for "Si", good looking man but the second photo gives it away and the man who is pictured with a woman looks absolutely nothing like him!
As I said I am wise to scams and getting a little tired of signing up to dating sites that don't deliver what they say. Our Time is the worst yet and I will be taking this further by contacting various Trading Standards bodies to get the site taken off the internet. This is so people who are less astute don't fall prey to this scam, you are giving people false hope and I feel that this is unethical.
I have been honest in my feedback and I would therefore appreciate your honesty in giving me a full refund of my one months' subscription forthwith.
There is a saying "throwing good money after bad" and this is exactly how my experience with Our Time has felt.
Yours sincerely,
Fiona McLees
unethical behavior
A man named Michael Walsh from OurTime is portraying a scam that he is a General Michael Walsh and is currently in Afghanistan. He has done this countless times to other women.
He uses alias such as is on your site: HotMichael from Twin Falls, Id and Michael Walsh from Twin Falls... Michael Walsh.
He always uses the same story, He's on a Peacekeeping Mission in Afghanistan and tells all he women, including myself that he is single/divorced...and after two on-line connections, he's in love and wants to get married and provide a home for his son, and has told his son about me and the son can't wait for a Mother like me. Sometimes he has 2 children living with a nanny... sometimes it's a 15 year old son named Paul ... He's confused on his lies often. His story line changes constantly and uses bad Grammer and spelling using the excuse he's cold and tired because it is raining. He gives time in Afghanistan that is two hours away from the States... He slides over pertinent questions and never answers them. I have attached pictures he has sent me, that he has copied off Internet...the same pictures he has used on other dating sites of women he has scammed. He is a Scammer. He came from OurTime unto my Messenger.
after being harassed, called names, and put down where is my profile?
I reported a man who messaged me just to harass me, use name calling, and put downs. Yes, I told him off. I have the right to feel safe. Now I checked, and no one can access my profile. On the search for women my name doesn't show up. I can't access my account, and my pictures aren't even downloaded. I already paid for a month. For three days, no responses. At least have the decency to contact me and let me know that my profile is being reviewed. Keep in mind that this man is a low-life who wanted to intimidate me. I have been stalked and abused before, so excuse me for being a woman. I filed a previous complaint, and before I could write down the number, it disappeared. My user name is mayqueen120. This guy is fungeniune05. This crap happened on 6/14/17. I deserve a refund and an apology for your unprofessional practices. This information is not even on the site, since I have no access to anything. Sophia more. I will call you too
I have a 6 month membership with ourtime, and two days ago I was not able to see messages or give messages to other women.
Someone put a picture of a woman on my profile page two days ago, and it no longer let me use my membership. It made me fill out a new profile. I paid for a membership in April, and it is good till October 2017. I need this issue fixed as soon as possible. if it is not fixed, I will report this site as a scam, and I will report you also to the Better Business Bureau. It sounds like this happens all the time on this dating site. Who ever overlooks this site, needs to do a better job, of keeping these issues to a minimum. If you can't fix it quickly, I will need to be refunded for the time, I haven't been able to use my membership. Thanks Michael Augustine. Please message me at [protected]@yahoo.com when this issue is fixed.
I am trying to register and it is giving me sign on issues. Would just like to talk with customer service.
dating site
This site is a total scam. They send phony flirts, views, messages especially when your subscription is about to expire making you think all these people are interested in you. Once it does expire, the volume increases even more but, of course, now you have to renew to see the activity. Nothing but lies! They also have questionable profiles - I received a message from a man who was a complete phony. I checked him out, messaged him with questions to verify his identity and his profile disappeared the next day.
scammers on this site.
I not only picked up one but two. Apparently something needs to be done with the Security on this site. Both of the scammers found me through my email address and personally reached out to me. Then the requests for money and electronic items. Promises of great treasures. I haven't been a member since the end of January yet the 2nd person found me through my profile and my email address, Both Scammers are claiming to be in the military and stationed in war zones. So there's no way other than the email or an Application called Hangouts (once they have your email that's how they find you).
Your a security needs to be updated on this site. You should not be able to view someone's email without being an actual member with a legitimate credit card on file.

deceitful & disrespectful
I set up a free account and was enticed to JOIN by a large number of fake messages. "Photo likes", flirts or other non-communications are funneled into the INBOX to appear as messages. They are NOT. There was also a solicitation for SEX. Really a distasteful site.
I was a member less than an hour before canceling my account. OurTime customer service is inline with their site. My request for a refund was rejected. Avoid this ###my site. (I meant to type scammy site, but auto correct gave it what it deserves).
I foolishly committed to ourtime for six months based on their commercials. I should have read reviews prior.
They are sending me people who are way too young, way too old and nothing in common. They stated I had a match and it was a flirt.
I believe this is a fraudulent and misleading site and I shall try to cancel after this month through Paypal. If that doesn't work I shall look into a class action suit.
charging my account without my knowledge and consent
I never realized how dishonest this site is until my account in the bank was debited $149 for a renewal that I did not consent to and it was done without my knowledge. Your customer service department is as useless as tits on a boar and are liars. I never have given nor would consent to renew a subscription with out being contacted first. I have been in and out of the hospital since January 2017. I just got home yesterday after a 7 week stint in the hospital. My house has been empty except for the friend who brought in my mail daily for the past 7 weeks. I am tired of being taken advantage like this and the money needs to be returned to my account NOW.
Still waiting for a response from these scam artists

scammers on your site
My name is stephanie and I have been on and off ourtime.com - my compliant is that this is the 2nd time I have met a scammer, this last gentlemen was an expert at it... It seems if you are widow then your more at risk for this type of individual... No, I did not give either of them any money.
Unfortunately I do not have any of his information, my subscription expired and I have no intention of ever using a dating site again.
I'm sure his name wasn't kevin white and i'm sure he wasn't from cape may...
Thank you for listening.

Thank you for sharing this recent story. I had similar experiences on E Harmony and was equally disgusted. I always run background checks and scan photos through Tin Eye; so I did not lose money to the scammers either. I was thinking of joining Ourtime, but am not going to now.
To bad we cannot start a site for people sick of scammers, LOL. We would all likely find decent dates then. I think these sites must build the volume of fraudsters into their business model. You are right about the VOIP as well, they all uses non-fixed VOIP and are from nigeria and Ghana.
dating
This is a con, must be stopped from taking peoples money.
I hope a class action will fix this company from doing what they do. The parent company (people media), has a great section about no refunds but they still do not accept the fact that they have made an unauthorized charge to an account. Never give them any info at all. Band together to stop this. It will be a long pull but even for a small return or nothing this will only continue if not stopped.
worst site ever
I Joined our time and since I have joined I am not able to access my account. They continue to take almost 30.00 a month for nothing. I cannot contact them for technical difficulties such as email access, profile access, or just plain access to this dating site. Its ridiculous, I have sent so many letters and complaints and I have not heard back from anyone that represents Ourtime, they are excellent at one thing and that is taking your money like clock work each month. Beware of this site, and don't give them your credit card !
I am not working with my bank to reverse the months of charges I have been billed. So frustrated when you cannot speak to a real person or even get a courtesy email back from someone. BAD IDEA ! anyone else have a similar problem with our time ? I am so done and will not fall for there marketing trap again, my credit card is being held hostage.
A very frustrated single member
scammers
Was contacted
and communicated with a man and ended being scammed out of $8000. Claimed to be a crude oil trader, from Portugal, living in NY. Left for Europe about 2 weeks after we met online. That was end of September. The money scamming part kicked in early November. Sent him money early December. He is very good. I found online some sentences verbatim from 2 of his emails. It was too late.
Just last week, another man contacted me via the site. A Petroleum Engineer, from Germany but grew up in London. Had to leave for London 3 days later to see his daughter, and a seminar. Sounded Asian, and I commented on that and that his profile was eeriliy familiar to another one, asked him for more information to continue. Within 2 days, he has deleted his profile and stopped comminating.
Why does it matter to you?
How does blaming the victim help? Moat victims of scammers are not "dumb" in fact a good portion are intelligent, accomplished people whose only fault is they are lonely, and vulnerable. These scammers, especially the ones who work in groups, are charming, attentive at first and know exactly the right things to say. They also provide pictures, that are usually stolen from other pages or photoshopped, and can also provide phony drivers licenses, airplane tickets..
after the initial period, then the emergencies come: emergency surgeries, need for meds, no food, government took his passport, etc.. You can reverse search pictures on google, or tin eye, and the FCC page regarding romance scams
Please know that oil rigs and military seem to be the preferred scammer occupations.
If anyone should come across a man calling himself Steven Pieters, from Patchogue, New York, watch out! this man is a scammer who also goes by the name of Gerrard Hann Ulrich.
complaint
I am requesting my fees I paid from Oct 2016-Dec 2016, refunded back to my paypal account, Dec 9th 33.98 Nov 1 18.97 Oct 29th 33.95 for a total of 86.90
It took me some time, but then I caught on to your fraudulent system, how I caught you was the same man's picture appeared with 2 profiles, the first said never married, no children, 2 days later the same man viewed me, but he was divorced and 4 children, The same pictures are always on who's available to chat 24 hours a day, don't they have a real life? Then all the profiles were written very similar, retired, self employed, large amount of income. When you did chat they all said the same thing, ( a computer program perhaps) I am giving you the opportunity to repay my fees, if I do
not receive them in my paypal account within 24 hours, I am turning you in to the Internet fraud, US Department of Justice, and contacting Sorbonu Banerjoe, consumer reporter of Tampa Fox 13, and PayPal resolutions dept., If you refund my account I will drop the actions. You may reach me at [protected]@email.com or [protected]. Patricia Crago
unauthorized credit card charges
It was December 7th, 2016. I received my bank statement today, and I noticed a charge of 32.36. So, I tried calling the number but got the answer machine. I don't know who you are, but you need to put that amount back in my account. You have no right to take money out of peoples account without authorization. I give you 5 days, before I get my lawyer involved. How do you get peoples information. Your a theif, and I want my money back.
full of fake profiles and scammers
I had clicked on a one-month subscription for a special rate, but my paypal account got dinged for a 3-month subscription. I called to get a refund so they backed my membership down to one month, but would not honor the "special" rate that was used a click bait. The person on the phone was not very polite and she basically told me that next time I need to be sure to click the correct button. At first I thought that maybe it was my error, but after reading numerous complaints describing this exact same scenario, I now believe that it is a true bait and switch tactic that this company knowingly uses.
After I signed up, I was contacted by a seemingly nice guy and when I finally pressured him to speak on the phone after about 3 days, he had a very thick african accent and was talking on a voip phone with a terrible sound quality. I reported this fake scammy profile to ourtime immediately, but they never removed it!
I was contacted over and over again by similar fake scammers and reported every one, but they were not removed either. This site is totally bogus and I would not recommend it to anyone ever.
I have only been on the site 2 days and find it to be filled with fake and fraudulent profiles.
There have been 3 people with telephone numbers across their picture and one who
directed me to her facebook account. I did contact one woman who was widowed with
an 11 year old child who lived 1500 miles away from me while at the present time she
was visiting Africa buying fabric, yet after 10 minutes she wanted commitments from me
The site is a dating site but it seems to me that the real scammers are the people who
own and run the company. I want my money back and out. My dating relationship with the
company has not gone well from our first interaction. They are much like the people who
create fake profiles in my opinion.
ourtime dating scams members
Our Time is a dating website ran by People Media 50+ network aimed at deceiving and ripping off its subscribers seeking companionship. They scam members by sending fake computer-generated and previously written communications sent through false member's profiles to you. Our Time sends these "flirts" as actual "messages", and notifies its members to make you believe that people are interested and contacting you. The catch is that you cannot open or read these "messages", nor reply to them unless you select a subscription plan and enter your credit card information first.
Once you have paid you can then open your fake "messages" only to realize you've been scammed by a fake or empty profile and cannot get a refund!
Also, when you enter your credit card information they enroll you into future automatically payments. So if you decide to leave the website you will still get billed monthly unless you stop the auto-renewal yourself.
matching service
1. This site is operated by the same company as Match.com, so match is advertising this site for older people and ...they go there, increasing the gross for themselves this tricky way. Honest? - Not very much.
2. So, the majority of clients on Ourtime are the same people of that older age as the ones in Match - what;s a point? Just a trick.
3. The difference is - Match ch has just 3 days trial ( I didn't try, and what could you find out in 3 days - it is just them, who got your credit card and then constantly charge, with no refund, until you would just lose it ( card I meant).
4. Both sites are keeping profile information for themselves and use it constantly. You can see there people, who have not been on the site for 1 month and longer. They are still presented to you in your search suffering, you are still able to send them message ( they could never get, but you will have a hope still), so you are surrounded with mysterious people and "communicate: with them, while they already are not there.
Shame and swindling.
Someone should check this site how legal is it to manipulate with our information.
5. What is even more disgusting - their "matching" service is just Bias: you are matched with bunch of people, who are 15-0 years older than you are and then you ASKED as for desirable age range. Well, maybe men do have such desire ( not sure in the age so close to "The End' ), but ladies - do you really expect young guy 20 years younger than you are would be Really interested in you? Do you?
Then why do they do that, naming this "breeding" process as 'Matching" ( maybe with special scientific approach..) No mystery is here - just crap and manipulation and I am sure - far beyond the law.
6. I should agree - they are having an option using which you could report suspicious activity. They do and act fast. At least that. No any other positive features of this site.
None.
billing
I have been charged 3 times on same day for this site first 4.32, then 21.63, then 58.42 I want this taken off my credit card or I will turn into the Better Business Bureau I will give this a couple of days for a reply then it will be turned in thank you.
