Ottawa Inn / Worst Customer Service
Firstly, we made the reservation one day before by phone and got your confirmation email as below. But when we arrived the next day to check in after a long driving day from Toronto. We were told there is no room availability due to the tenant supposed to leave did not check out ! And it was 8:30 at night already
Secondly, it took us more than one hour waiting at the desk for the issue to be solved. During that period, some ppl who also booked by phone but came to check in after us got the room and key! So this Ottawa Inn does not hold a first come first serve policy??
Thirdly, the issue was tackled temporally by making more than ten calls to have an alternative place to stay for our family-makes us including my 5 years old son need not to sleep on street-but that took us more than one hour to wait at the Inn and another half an hour driving to the substitution motel. When we finally settled for the day, it was 11:00 and my son goes to bed at 9:00 daily!
Last but not least, all hotels in town were booked out and only this one had the last room which makes us having no choice but to take the costly rate for 200 bucks per night! And that is almost doubled of the rate when we booked Ottawa Inn online. No doubt that is well beyond our traveling budget.
Worst ever accomodation experience and never look to live in this motel for your own sake!
