Over the last few years, the prolific Dutch techno producer Orlando Voorn, has conned dozens of up and coming producers by asking them to pay for remixes with guaranteed vinyl releases that would never come.

Using his vast social media network, Voorn posted several times per month asking for 'new blood and promising to support new talent. At the same time, Voorn also regularly posted to Facebook regarding his trip to the USA to live and his new studio.

Several years after paying for his services, many producers are still waiting while he gives many excuses for not delivering the final product OR providing refunds to those he has failed to deliver.

Many conversations between himself and the producers he has conned, have turned into fierce arguments with Orlando Voorn blaming distributors, investors, labels, finances and even his marriage. All this while still posting to his networks asking for new artists.

Ironically - or perhaps not so ironic at all, one of the labels he has promised releases on, Night Vision, has a recently posted up coming release schedule. This comes after he told several artists who are still waiting for releases, that it was no longer releasing due to financial breakdown and distribution issues - a strange story considering he owns the label and the releases were paid for by the artists.

Why someone of his repute would risk doing this can only be pure desperation and knowing that he has 30yrs of reputation behind him. We all know that people can resort to desperate measures in desperate times but seeing this situation has been ongoing since 2012 and its now well into 2017, it seems that so far, he's getting away with it as the larger techno community, at least for noe, turns a blind eye to the rumours, stories and obvious exploits of the "Basic [censor]".

Orlando Voorn is a predator. He seeks out inexperienced producers, especially those with no wealth of connection to the scene. He promises the world for a fee and delivers nothing. Based on the amount of people we have spoken to, we estimate that he has collectively fleeced producers in excess of 10, 000EUROS.

While his social media posts asking for new producers have somewhat slowed down, they haven't yet stopped with posts as late at December 2016 asking for up and comers to send in demos, while those he has stolen from over the past few years, look on in disbelief as he continues to tell them that he can't afford to release them, has no money to refund them and that there will be no more releases.

Needless to say, he is a liar, a thief, a trickster and a manipulative conman. His business practices are highly questionable and we expect to hear a lot more about this in the near future.

I got more than that. I got a 30min video to post up with all his lies, excuses and broken promises including that he will get Juan Atkins to remix my track just to get me to pay him quicker. If he was standing in front of me, he would be a very sorry dude.
