This company is supposed to provide internet, cable, phones and alarm services to communities in bundled package using 'state of the art technology"to our community in Fort Myers. These people wouldn't know what to do with 2 cans and a string let alone todays technologies. Imagine trying to make a call to a local business, which you clearly know is open and operating only to get a recorded message 'the number is no longer in service" over and over and over. Then you try to call your neighbor and get the same recording or have your calls dropped after so many minutes. Better yet call 911 and have the business address come up for the company in Miami and your in FORT MYERS! Or you turn on your TV and get 9 channels of how to use your cable TV remote. Service technicians that never call back. If your lucky enough to have them send one out they tell you its your TV or your house is wired wrong or its the "storm" or my all time favorite "when the networks go on a coffee break thats whats causing the channels to have problems"! They have never delivered one minute of anything they advertise or promised in writing. My other favorite is while collecting for alarm monitoring services through our duesfor years, we learn their NEVER was any monitoring in place. Lovely group of ###s. It seems now all of their communities are either suing them or have sued them or kicked them to the curb
If your hear the name Hcontrol run, run fast and don't let them near you.

I have Opticaltel. I am so disgusted by their customer service and equipment. I work in Palm Beach County but live in Port St Lucie. They offer no evening service calls and limited days. They will only send out equipment to the home address. However if anyone is in the same situation like me and works long hours and can't sign for the equipment you can't receive the equipment. When I ask that the equipment be sent to my mailing address so someone can sign for it I was told no as it is their company policy. So that leave me in a no win situation. Take time off of work and lose money. I have had at problems with their machines on at least 4 separate occasions and have had to take time off. The last time I asked for a customer service manager to explain the situation I was flat out told no. Poor customer service and poor equipment. Poor excuse for a company.

Hi folks, I'm in the same boat... I'm paying for Hcontrol as mandated by the HOA, however I'm also paying for AT&T DSL and Dish Network, why? because Hcontrol is no good. Too bad the monopoly forces Comcast and U-verse to skip our neighborhood and we are 10+ years of being able to switch to a better service... is there a way to at least get other providers here besides Hcontrol?, I mean I'm stuck with them, but even paying AT&T or Comcast for a high speed internet service is limited because they don't let them in. DSL at 6Mbps is not good when you compare it to 20 Mbps from comcast for the same price... yet we don't get more than 2Mbps with the hcontrol service.

I DISLIKE SO MUCH WHEN A COMMUNITY HAS ONLY ONE COMPANY OFFERING THEIR SERVICES, I TOTALLY AGREE HCONTROL SERVICES ARE BAD. FIRST: THEIR PHONE NUMBER DOES NOT WORK AND THEY STILL HAVE IT ON THEIR WEBSITE, IMAGINE THIS: I HAD THEIR SERVICE LAST YEAR AND THEY CONTINUE TO SEND ME A BILL FOR OVER 8 MONTHS AFTER I STOPED USING THEIR SERVICES, THEY CHARGE ME FOR EVERY MONTH LIKE I WAS USING THEIR INTERNET AND PHONE, WICH IT WAS DISCONNECTED, IT IS CRAZY! I EVEN RECEIVED OTHER NEIGHBORS BILLS TO MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND WHEN I WROTE HCONTROL TO TELL THEM THE NEVER ANSWERED.

I am about to move into to an HControl community in Fort Myers, and just trying to get any answers out of these people is hard enough, I can not imagine what trying to get a problem resolved would be like. I asked if I can get an HD box for my HD TV's and was told they are still waiting on boxes, after talking with some other people in the community, it seems this is ALWAYS the answer they give, the unit I am moving into alarm system doesn't work, and I assume from the past resident it never has, I have asked for upgrades to the Internet speed and to add HDTV but they never really answer any questions, just say that it's available, nothing on how to get it set up. It seems when ever I call I always get the same person, who seems to have a hard time understanding what I am asking, and it also seems that there is probably like 2 people answering the phones, it just feels like a bad company to be FORCED to do business with, I think the BBB rating of an F speaks for itself. I was told the HOA is trying to get them (HControl) out of the community I hope they are successful.

Agree I can not get them to fix our system up in PSL. Our system is down atleast once a month. I have also talk to Mr. Bustamante and his mind least staff. They do nothing to fix the problems there systems have. I have to call about ten times to get anything do. My system was down for almost two week I asked for a credit. I was told they only do that for poeple who get the highend package. Anyone who has this company I truely feel bad for you.

I totally agree with you as this is possibly the worst organization I have ever dealt with starting from the CEO Mario Bustamante down to the admin staff that we are forced to deal exclusively with for cable tv, internet, telephone and alarm monitoring because of the confidential agreement signed by Michael F. Aranda of EH Building Group.

I am sure you fully understand why this company has a F rating with the Better Business Bureau.
