I clicked on an advertisement page frm my home page and clicked on free trial you pay shipping 5.95. No where did it say that the free trial you were being sent was really $89.95 if you dod not cancel with in 30 days. Thankfully my husband told me to check the invoice to see if it said anything and sure enough you will be charged. When I called to cancel it certainly did not phase the person that I was cancelling becasue it was a scam. They informed me that I would have to pay for the shipping back to them. I should have known better but glad that I was able to cancel before a whopping bill hit me ontop of it. I would hate to have missed that little bit of info.Too bad it did not mention it before the shipping was paid.

Ookisa claims to offer you a free trial of their product. You just need to pay $6.95 for shipping and handling. You fill out all the information along with your credit card information for the shipping and handling and it says you will get your product in 7-10 business days. Afterwards you receive an email confirming your order along with this added ot it.

Free Trial Overview:
You will have 22 days to try OOKISA and discover why it is the perfect hair enhancement system for you. If you like how this system increases your hair's thickness, fullness and protection against thinning, do nothing – at the end of your free-trial period you will be charged the discounted price of $99.95. If for any reason the system is not for you, call our Customer Care line toll-free at [protected] any time within your 22-day free-trial period to cancel. Then simply return the product (even if it is empty!) and you will NEVER be billed. No commitments, no hassles. Plus, if you decide to keep OOKISA, you will receive FREE acceptance in OOKISA Elite and will receive a fresh supply of the entire system approximately every 30 days at the same low price of $99.95, a 25% discount. You can cancel anytime by calling OOKISA Customer Care at [protected].
No risk, no obligation, cancel any time!

No where on their site do they tell you this before you request the free trial. Then when you get the product you get a separate letter reducing the trial time to 14 days instead of the 22 days. Which by the time you get the product you only have 4 days to request an RMA and ship back before you get charged $99 on your credit card.

Placed order for free sample then received another shipment and was told that by taking the sample I signed up to receive the products monthly. This was not stated in the ad I answered. Gave me a partial refund and cancelled future deliveries, but I'm still out $44.

I also got scammed w/this companuy called OOKISA. i didn't even want the trial but i got it for my daughter who has thinning hair. She did the trial day period and did not like the product, tried to return it, but no, it was after their number of trial days not ours, when we actually got the package. Today i received another package and called them up to return merchandise and i was told that everything is final after the trial period. THIS COMPANY SUCKS! Do not buy anything from OOKISA. They will charge you for stuff you haven't even ordered, cuz they send it out no matter what and when you call to return, they laugh in your face and basically call you SUCKER! They are so full of it, it just baffles me that they are still in business. how can they still be in business?

This is the most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. It is your right to make conditions OBVIOUS and CLEAR. The fact that there are more than a dozen people seeking out this website to complain means that this company obviously didn't do it's job. It makes me ill to think of all the people that preyed upon by this company becuase they either didn't check their bank account or weren't assertive enough to demand a refund. Ookisa is crooked and dishonest. And as we all know, the purpose of being vague was to cheat the unknowing customer out of their money while reaping the company a profit. A very dishonest way to do so might I add. I got the same run-around about not being able to recieve a refund until I mentioned that I would report the company to the better business bureau. Suddenly I was granted a refund (further evidence that their company is shady and dishonest). PLUS THE SHAMPOO IS CRAP. The fact that they charge $99 for a something that washes down the drain 5 min later is ridiculous. And yes, Denise, we all know you're an employee but nice try. I think if you read amongst the reviews - it's pretty clear that we all think your company (and your job for that matter) is a sad excuse for a business.

I ordered the free trial, then when receiving it, The $99.95 showed on the paperwork in the box. I called them immediately and told them I was returning it as I could not afford the price. I was then told that if I liked the product, my bill every two months would be $39.95, so I agreed. I have kept that much in my account, but have not been billed (I wonder if that may be because they are actually charging me the $99 and it isn't in my account. Guess I will find out

Attention ALL web consumers- If you do not know about or use shopsafe please check into it with you credit card company. I have a Bank of America credit card and they have a shopsafe system specifically designed to safeguard consumers against internet fraud. Its extremely convenient and easy to use. You log on to bank of america and click on your credit card, then click on use shopsafe. Next you just click create a new shopsafe number then you can put the limit and number of months you want the number to be usable. That way no one ever gets your actual credit card number plus you put an amount and time limit on the number. Plus you can EASILY click on dispute a charge with this system. Its wonderful! Always be cautious and read fine print plus USE SHOPSAFE! I always check for complaints before I purchase items and I'm glad that Daphnie mentioned Shiseido Tsubaki products! I was suspicious about ookisa products when I tried to click on the image to get more info on its ingredients and could not find anything listing all ingredients. Thanks Dapnie!

YOU are responsible for YOUR accounts and finances. Check on shipping and prices before you send your card number. As for the Ookisa products, they're wonderful and can be tailored to your financial needs if you don't require the entire package. Which is excactly what I did. I will never use another shampoo. My hair feels fantastic, more smooth, shiny and the scent is fabulous! Take charge of your own finances rather than complain.

When you order an item online be prepared to have it delivered and charged to your account until YOU decide to call to discontinue the item. You MUST be responsible for your own finances and account. As for the Ookisa products, they are fabulous and can be tailored to your budget. You may not NEED the entire system everytime, I DON'T..and I called to tailor the product being sent at a lower price. Ookisa is a wonderful product, I have extremely long hair and use it every time I shampoo. My hair is so much smoother, the scent is fabulous and my hair is shinier. I just LOVE Ookisa, would never use anything else.

It's a total scam. I ordered something from Amazon. This free Trial came up so for $5.95 i took it. Nowhere (visible) did it say anythign about being charged, having to cancel etc. I caleled them after receiveing a second order, which i sent back, and told them to cancel and cancel both charges. they agreed to cancel one charge but not the other. i told them i would and could send back the original trial since we still have it, since it doesn't work anyway. They are a comlete, total and utter rip off and should be charged with false advertising.

Ookisa is a scam. I accepted a free trial sample and received nothing. I was charged for the postage and then almost $100 for the product that never arrived.

I called "CS" and got a teenager who sounded bored and barely capable. He refused to cancel the "subscription"..the one that was not made known until AFTER MY CARD WAS CHARGED... and refused to refund. I have read a couple other reports claiming that people got packs of literature to validate a tracking receipt and then were charged for stuff they did not get.

I don't mind trying new products. But let's get real. It takes many months for any change in your hair to be noticeable. Once it passes the scalp, hair is dead and cannot be "repaired" by anything. It can be patched, protected and have damaged "covered, " but it can't be repaired. Notice the ookisa trail period is 30 days. Get real. Hair grows about 1/4 inch a month. Most people would not see real change for at least a year!

RUN FROM THIS PRODUCT!

I ordered my "free" trial and when I recieved the confirmation email, and found out about the monthly fee, I immediately called to cancel the order. Took the guys name and extension for my notes. A week later, my "free" trail arrived at my doorstep, even though I cancelled it immediately after ordering. I called and spoke with another rep and he did find the note on my file that I talked to the first rep, but no note about the cancellation. Now not only am I stuck paying the shipping, I have to pay to return it! Crooks! Beware!

Im so glad I googled this company before I ordered the free trial right! Its a shame the comment made from the OOSKI employee to a customer that was mislead to believe something it wasnt! I read the exact same add as they did and it did not state a 14 day return policy! Its ashame companys have reslulted in scaming customers instead of just advertising and saying the product is 100.00 dollars! SHAME ON YOU! Marci

I agree with everyone that it is a scam; they did not tell me I would be getting more. I only wash myhair once a week so the trial package will last me a long time, and I do not want anymor shipments sent to me unless I ask for it. Demetra Daniels greekelpaso@yahoo.com

Ookisa seems to have made some changes in their offer. I did understand that it was a "membership" that I would be charged for. Since I have severe allergies and can't use shampoos with sulfates, and wasn't happy with the sticky heavy feel I was getting trying L'Oreal's new line of sulfate free shampoos, even though I did see complaints about people not being made aware of the terms, I decided to try it for the month anyway. I could always cancel and try Burts Bees, right? I was desperate - my scalp breaks out in a rash if I use typical shampoos.

Even though I was happy with the results using the shampoo and conditioner, no more itchy rash and even got a couple of compliments on my hair, I had to call them at the end of my 30 day trial period anyway, because in the meanwhile someone else had STOLEN my card number and started making charges off in Florida somewhere. VISA had to cancel it, of course... I had to file a police report, card dispute forms, and everything else. When I finally got my replacement card it was on a Saturday, JUST in time to make the change to that account on the next business day.

Unfortunately, the staff at their custimer service number are inept, and disconnect you as soon as they encounter something that is not in their script. I repeatedly gave them the new number, a half dozen times, and they repeatedly tried to process the $89.95 charge to the OLD number. (I checked with my bank, because all they told me at Ookisa was that the card was being declined and to "collect the card".) "Pam" told me they would bill me, but instead I got an email telling me to call them at that same number and provide the valid card. (Duh... I had already been through all that.) So I explained in detail, and they sent a reply that they had gotten my email and to please call the customer service number again. Are they NUTS?!

OKAY WELL THIS IS HOW YOU SOLVE THIS DUMB PROBLEM...SAY IT DOES SAY IN THE LETTER YOU HAVE 14 DAYS TO TRY IT...OK.THEN THEY TAKE TEN DAYS 2 SHIP IT...OK...THE SAME DAY YOU GET IT WHICH WILL BE THE TENTH DAY PROBABLY, TAKE THE BOTTLE OF SHAMPOO AND EMPTY IT INTO ANOTHER CONTAINER, DO THE SAME WITH THE CONDITIONER AND SERUM...OK BAM. YOU GOT YOUR STUFF...THEN THT SAME DAY ALL YOU HAVE 2 DO IS CALL THEM AND SAY OHHH I DONT LIKE IT I NEED AN RMA 2 SHIP IT BACK..THEY SEND IT U SHIP IT BACK..YOU DONT GET CHARGED YOU GOT UR PRODUCT BAM CASE SOLVED! ...AND IF THEY TAKE THEIR SLOW ### TIME SENDING THE RMA 2 TO THEN CALL THEM UP AND SAY WHERE IS MY RETURN SLIP AND IM NOT PAYING $100 B/C I CALLED WITHIN THE TIME PERIOD AND IF THEY STILL WANT 2 ### YOU HAVE THE RIGHT 2 SUE! :D

I was just scammed by this company over the last 3 wks! I called them to tell them I didnt want their product, they said I was supposed to send it back... I did not see this mentioned on the ad, although this product was a gift to my daughter. I never read anything that stated a trial offer... very vague. This company also blocked my phone calls after the first call, as i found two bank statements for 100 dollars each taken out of my debit account. I have received no more products from this company, and have been charged! What you people can do if you have used a debit card, is visit your affiliated bank, and they can have you sign a statement of unauthorized use of your debit card, and the bank goes after them with shazam to retrieve the money. If a credit card, Im sure they can go after these scam companies as well. I learned a large lesson to not buy products from any small companies!
I am also going to the attorney general against these people, and the BBB, and any other way that i will now learn as of tonight to prosecute or warn people about this company.
my phone would not go through to this bunch, But when i was sitting at the bank, it went right through. The bank sends in an investigation also of the matter.

Just tell them to cancel; if they fail to do this, just contest the credit card charge and they'll refund, or you pursue it though the bank and let them know you didn't agree to the terms and you canceled. The company will not pursue the issue and refund your money; if they don't you can insist on having the bank pursue the erroneous charge. I have really long hair, and my 30 day trial showed that 60 days of the product is what I needed. I have nothing left to return. If they want the empties, they can send me a return container paid shipping and I'll be glad to send them; I'm holding on to them in case; but, don't hold your breath, you'll not hear from them. They don't want your stinky old used bottles, God knows what would happen if people thought they were recycling and reselling unused contents.

All I want to do is cancel membership and not get anyother products of Ookisa.
Needless to say my hair is very thin and this product sure didn't do anything to help it.
I threw the stuff away and will not get anymore.
So cancel membership and refund the 89.00 you took for a shipment I didn't get. So maybe I am on the scam side of the scam.
No shampoo is worth this much.
thank you Pat

Didn't realize that this was a subscription service and never even opened the first 'trial' offer yet. Now that I got billed for the remainder of the trial offer and now another shipment 2 weeks ago which has not been received yet, I called and got an RMA and demanded that they accept the trial offer back first. Waiting on a so called supervisor call back to plead my case and get an RMA for that one also. Pissed off is right. SCAM for sure. The agent customer service dweeb David sure kept to his script and even hung up on me after his script ran out and a supervisor was not 'immediately available'. ### them.

I just ordered the ookisa but have to say that I am fully aware of its conditions. It says right there that if you do not return the free trial sample and discontinue the service through customer service before 30days that you will be charged. Also the product will automatically be sent to your home every 60 days and the payment will automatically be taken from your card. You people need to read before signing up and just know that when you try these free samples, you have to read everything!...Yes its not fair that all these terms and conditions are not in BOLD letters highlighted the way "FREE TRIAL" is but thats just the way it is and has been... so stop complaining and get smart!

I agree with the comments plus there is not enough product to last 60 days or even 30 in my case...As I wash my hair everyday...and in summer sometimes more...So hundred dollars to wash my hair for two weeks is a waste...and now that you mention it...my hair had been falling out and now stopped...wonder if that was a conisdense(sp?)

I fell for the scam. I f you are caught in their scam contact Better business Bureau ASAP. I did and got my money back, but they had the gall to print a very condescending rebuttal to me on the BBB website. Do you know they even state they won't accept "return to sender' packages. This tells me THEY KNOW they are scamming people . I sending it back anyway. I don't want anything from this company in my house.

I saw the ad on the CNN website. After reading these posts, I will not order it AND I will never order an unknown product from an unverifiable website. Regardless of who did or didn't read the Terms and Conditions, they appear to be inconsistant with pricing and their offer of a "free" trial is certainly tantamount to fraud -- It is a slope in that direction and with all the news lately of corruption in big corporations and banks, the OOkisa company certainly appears to be following suit.

all things considered, I would definately avoid it and I thank everyone who wrote in. Information is the key in avoiding being a victim!

Just go to Walmart or Target etc. and but a greendot credit card. It's a pre-paid visa. Put $20 on it and order the product. Once the order has gone through throw away the credit card. They can kiss the sky after that ;)

Add me to the list of people who are learning a very costly lesson. My comments are for anyone who is fortunate enough to check this site BEFORE they purchase an OOKISA product.

I fell for the try it "Free for the price of $5.95 shipping ONLY" line. When the box arrived I thought that was the end of it. There was no invoice, or letter indicating I would be charged anything else. Only brochures and sales material was included.

On month later I get a second box of product with an invoice $89.95 and a letter to call and cancel my "subscription". (Subscription!) I called and never, ever got an answer. I was charge twice on my credit card 1) $89.95 and 2) 95.90. I only received one extra box of product. I have cancelled my credit card and don't see any liklyhood of getting a refund.

It is, of course, a marketing scheme. Proactive did the same thing... till they started getting "just like" competitors. Now, the price is down, you can buy the product in selected stores, and no "free"-trial scams. It is a good product and they are raking in big sales. Ookisa will go that way someday. When it does, I will buy their mousse (souffle). Right now I am afraid to buy it outright from the website. Since they are running a trial scam, I am scared to put my credit card number on their website. Sceptical of their honor

I am getting so sick and tired of people taking advantage of others i can almost throw up! Yes i also seen on my web that you can get a FREE trail offer but all you have to do is pay S.H. FEES . So than when i received the products of my shampoo, coditioner there was a paper stating that i would have to give them $90.00 some dollars. I wrote them back and asked them if they were kidding around or is this a joke? Who in the world has $ 90.00 a month to wash there hair!? I do believe that this is a con type situation just to swindle people out of there money. Here comes the best part they had the nerve to send me another shippment after i told them i don't like there product and i don't want your product either. Now see if you were an older person like my Mom or anyone elder would not understand and they would be bleeding there checking accounts or credit card accounts and maybe no one would catch it in time! These are people that should be shut right down! Has any one ever consider checking into the BBB Better Bisness Beau ? Maybe we should! Any one out there that has a elder or a older relative Please check there mail frequently they may be getting con'd like we did...

I did order using the free trial but sent it back being African American, I can't wash my hair and use the serum everyday in order for it to work. I did send it back. It does say in the terms and conditions to call before the 14 day trial is up to get an RMA# but you have to call them in order to get it. However, I did see it on the return label that should be in the box when it comes to you. I ordered this on a credit card that I got when I got my school loan. I had used all of the money so there was not enough on there for them to charge once my time was up. Thank God for that. All I did was pay for the shipping which at that time was only 5.99 or something like that. After reading all of these complaints, I know that I will not be ordering again. I do not want to risk having funds taking out of my account that I did not authorize. I had to do a dispute with my bank about 777save.com. I applied for a payday loan online and I guess the company I applied with used them for their services and I was not aware of it. They said that they sent me an email saying to cancel within 4 days, but how the world was I to know who they were in order to look for an email from them? Anyway, I am advising all of you NOT TO APPLY FOR A PAYDAY LOAN ONLINE BECAUSE SOME OTHER COMPANY WILL DEDUCT FUNDS FROM YOUR ACCOUNT YOU DID NOT AUTHORIZE! Fortunatley, I was able to get my money back along with my overdraft charges. Please BEWARE!

I too was scammed by Ookisa, i drive a truck, have High Blood Pressure, drink alot of coffee, my hair was thinning from meds, Ookisa assured me it would work.I went to my Beautician, to have her monitor results, i cancelled in # weeks.I had also ordered Total White teeth Whitening, free trial, same results, Cancelled. Both these companies told me the EXACT same thing, "No record of Cancellation".I just got home to find Ookisa here again, looking at the address, ITS THE SAME AS TOTAL WHITE!The exact address, Suite#, and BOTH gave me the same excuse AFTER taking my $$$.There is a site, Online Police! Use it!I did!I also filed online with the BBB, its easy, I urge u ALL to do this, these ppl r just Thieves!I did EVERY STEP RIGHT, and they got me anyway...

You know ... if it's too good to be true ... it usually is. I also almost fell for this marketing trick. But it sounded too good ... there had to be a catch. Then I saw the terms and conditions link. It was a SMALL print and I hardly ever read them. But again ... I was very suspicious of this offer. Right there in black and white, to my horror I saw what this deal was REALLY all about. Glad I didn't fall for it. It would have been all my fault ... Consumer Beware. Looked like a great product ... but WAY too expensive.

IF IT SAYS FREE..NOTHING IS EVER REALLY FREE! I knew this too but tried it anyway. The stuff was horrible and STRONGLY SCENTED...like little old lady perfume. It was harsh on my skin and hair. I returned it the day I got it in the mail...and was still charged. Disputed now--but what a hassle. File a complaint with the BBB and online as stated above.
