We have had a smart meter installed,
our bills have doubled, have not changed
any appliances or habits, whats going on!!
They told us that it was to drop our rates?
could the neter be caliberated wrong?

    No, unfortunately, it's calibrated exactly as intended. We had the same experience, as have thousands of others (even those of us who have done everything possible to minimize our peak usage).

    More exciting news! I just concluded a 12 month study on TOU in Ontario: NO sAVINGS FOR SWITCHING TO OFF PEAK

    They said I would save by switching usage to off peak. So I did. 80% to be specific on my last bill. Switching that much usage to off peak should lower the average cost per kwh. It didn't.

    On 12 months of bills the average cost per kilowatt hour never changed no matter what I did or when I did it. To say you will save by switching to off peak seems false and misleading. The cat is out of the bag mc guinty. Thanks for the stupid scam meter.

    Voting didn't work. Boycotting will. My usage is down 80%. Way to go business geniuses.
