Avoid onstar at all costs. Terrible customer service. They kept pushing me over and over again to buy their hands-free phone minutes and other services which I did not want. I had to tell them repeatedly with growing frustration that I was not interested in buying anything extra. Then after that, they kept asking for my debit and credit card numbers to put on file. Needless to say I declined to give them that information and was fed up at this point and started yelling and cursing at them. It was borderline harassment! My first contact with them the "welcome call" did anything but make me feel welcome. I was very close to taking the car back to the dealer and asking for my money back, but I do love my new cruze. I'll only buy another gm vehicle in the future if I don't have to deal with onstar again.

Bottom line: do not waste your time or money with onstar. It's not even needed! Our cellphones can do everything onstar can do, better! I know my blackberry certainly does!

On Star, gave me a decent rate for Navigation, so I took the service back. Great except I have nothing but problems with the service. I have spoke to many front line supervisors, they are no help. They will get back to me, sure they will. I sent a note through their website over a week ago, no one ever responded to me. I have asked the supervisors I spoke to, to speak to higher level of Management and it doesn't happen. Their service sucks, but their customer service is by far one of the worst.

I'm very angry about Onstar's service, not only do you have to pay for the plan that you choose, but also you have to pay for the minutes that you would use. I'm so pissed to be double charged for Onstar service that they claim to be a peace of mind to have. Does everybody have to nickel & dime us?

Received a card as Onstar customer directing me to a site, ipsosweb.com/onstar. Can't acquire the site. So, what's it all about? Why waste my time?

I challenge the following charges:
a. service charge? $108.00
b. TLG*evryday $ 12.99

These are corrupt charges and need to be cleared from my account! I will not be using your card ever again unless this is corrected.

You charge my Visa card $38.53 for service. Our service has been paid up and we had added time on previous car which was added to the account. There are no fees due.

The survey site was not available, all that replied should be rewarded with 30 free phone minutes for goodwill!

I wish the service did not come preloaded into any cars. It goes on automatically now asking if I want to subscribe even though I never bought the service. Now, I have to pay my car dealer to figure out the software to turn it off. Tried calling onstar themselves, and as you can see from other posts, they are useless and actually quite rude

I purchased my Hummer around Thanksgiving, have been trying to sign up for onstar ever since 3 attempts so far...It is now January

Attempt 1 called by pushing the blue button was transferd 3 times the 3rd transfer no one ever pick up

Attempt 2 pushed the blue button it connected to onstar and after 30 min no one ever came to the line

Attempt 3 I called the 888.466.7827 the person that answered took my vin and information then told me to go in the car and push the blue button  I did got a lady that took my information but could not help and transferred me got a new girl that that took my information again but wanted me to push the blue button again I refused, she began activation we got to the part of my phone number and the call was dropped, I came in and called the 888 number again the man could not help without me going back out to the car and pushing the blue button again, I asked for a supervisor  Debbie in Michigan who stated the same thing I expressed my frustration and that I am leaning not to go with onstar she states " that's your choice"

This was the division maker for me I was skeptical that your service was going to be like my attempt to connect and was second guessing it any way but since she said it was my choice and made no attempt to gain me as a new customer I will remain onstar less and frustrated with your company and I will tell everyone I know this story and discourage anyone from the service.

After all my friends and family matter to me!

I can not even believe your company would tray a potential new customer as this

as an hearing impaired customer of new gm car purchased sept 22nd to this date i am very angry with the way onstar-tty treatment has not response on how to get tty-onstar system device upgraded on my 2009 CTS as they failed to fax the information to the dealership and dealership staff member went out of their way getting information required and were told it not available on the cts but only on more expensive model and suv despite saying it is available on 2007 and newer gm except saturn, pontiac model etc and say there is confusion on the dealer part and asked for my 17 vin# which sent on nov.4th and yet no reply back at all and the dealer also sent warning note to onstar tty dept so far nothing. very disappointed with the way the tty staff handle of this matter in denial that they did anything wrong here. It is within my rights to have the tty device and special onstar device with dialing pad to be able to communicate on what type of emergency i may need help with according to the ADA Law!

I had to use the phone in my trail blazer one time and was shocked to find that I was charger for the call. I thought that you got so many minutes free when you subscribed to the plan. This is fraud

I agree, would love competition. My pet peve is purchased minutes expire after 1 year ; only way to keep unused minutes is to buy another block of minutes, sold in 100 minute blocks. If this is not extortion, what is it ?

If there was another service besides Onstar I would change in a heartbeat,
maybe if they had other car phone services available, car phone services
would not be so expensive and companies would have reasonable phone
bills and service.
