Onida T.v. / Poor after sales service
I bought ONIDA 21" KY THUNDER Television 3years back. On 25.09.2007, a technical snag developed in the T.V.. The local sales centre at Chandigarh was informed and the engineers of the company visited us on 26.09.2007. After inspecting the T.V., they informed that S.T.R. is damaged and needs replacement. Cost of replacement of the part was estimated at Rs.600/- (including labor). They told that since the part was not available with them, they will get it from the company and replace it. After about a month they told us that the part has arrived and the T.V. should be sent to Customer Care Centre for testing of the S.T.R.
When after two three days I enquired about the status of the T.V. on phone with one Mr. Jaswinder, they told me that the estimate charges come to Rs.2500/- as they have changed the I.C and some other part also. But the same was not brought to our notice before changing.
Now they are insisting on payment of the charges before delivery of the television set. Even after two months of the defect in the T.V., the company's service centre is not able to set the product in the working condition.
If such type of service is provided by a so called reputed company, then people should stop buying the ONIDA Products
