STAY AWAY from Omnicity for wireless internet service in Indiana.

With the service for 54 days. First 29 days were great. Last 24 days major outages (absolutely no service) during 12 of those days, with erractic service for 6 of those days. Total days with issues: 18 of 24.

On the outage days (12 of 24) total downtime now at 186.75 hours..yes, nearly 8 ENTIRE DAYS of downtime - with NO notice.

Management does not care - attitude is absolutely "we'll get to it if and when we do". Steve (manager) on 2/2/10 actually said their network was a "turd" - that it had major issues. Ended the call by saying "we hope to figure it out sometime soon".

STAY AWAY FROM OMNICITY FOR WIRELESS INTERNET "SERVICE".

yes stay away from ominicity. Here is my story, Had service with this company for more than 5yrs, paid a 5$ delinquent every month not a problem, came home from a trip and found that my service was suspended, call them and they told me that i was not suspended, HA HA, my computer told me I was suspended, I told them to come and take out their service, i changed to zig. They were mad, they sent their tech to my home to remove their service, I was in my detached garage when he slid into my drive, he got out of his van/truck looked at my roof, pulled out his cell phone made a phone call and took pictures on the new install, His equipment was removed from my home prior to his arrival= pole, signal plate, and from the inside of my home the router, this was laying outside of my home on the corner of my attached garage for pick up, the cable was not removed, waiting for them to remove, when he arrived he did not get on a ladder to remove the wire on the roof of my garage or attempt to do so, he picked up the items listed laying on the cement drive and lef my home in a very big hurry. So, they sent me a bill for equipment they did not get which is cable. $80.00. I have called and sent messages to them to come and remove the cable from my home which they have not done, so I took the cable out myself and called them and sent them messages for them to come and pick up.they have not, they keep sending me a bill for equipment and threatened me to be sent to a collection agency, GOOD LUCK I will not pay this bill. PS CHECK OUT THEIR STOCK WORTH 2CENTS SHARE. FILED CHAPTER 13. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY, BELIEVE ME. 9/12.2012

I have Omnicity and have not had an issue with the service. I live in a small town in the country and most of us use Omnicity. Maybe it is the location you live in or the equipment there. I know I live where Omnicity is based and they built the system here. From the messages it seems like the compaines they purchased had poor networks. I am quite happy with my service. We run a desktop, both my kids have laptops and an I-phone on the service.

We finally got fed up with Omnicity and was fortunate to find another company in our rural area. We had NO service more often than when it was working. When it did work, it was hit or miss and very SLOW! Of course, they wouldn't credit our account, even when we were without service for more than 2 weeks at a time. Everytime we called with a complaint, they would blame our computer first and then set up a date to come out and check our equipment 10 days later (you know because they are soooo busy). In the 3 years we had them, they were at our house probably 8-10 times, everytime it was a problem with their tower. They switched us to 3 different towers with no success. In the beginning we had North CC who was bought out by Omnicity. We paid $200 for our equipment when it was originally installed and now Omnicity says they are going to come out and pick up their equipment!

I too, went with Zig and the reception and service has been great. When I called to cancel service today with Omnicity, they tried to claim that the wiring inside the walls was theirs and that they would be coming to unistall that as well. I have the horrible feeling that getting them out of my life isn't going to be as easy as giving them their receiver and power unit back. This ISP makes cable companies look good. Years of awful customer service and receiving half the speeds I was paying for plus extended outages make this one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with.

I agree, stay away from Omncity. I cancelled service on Feb 22 2011 after having terrible service at best since November. the first 6 months were OK but then it went to non existance service after that all the while they billed me. As I mentioned I cancelled service on Feb 22 and they still billed me for MArch 2011 as of today. I will be disputing the charges with my cc company. We are going with a company called Zigwireless in case anyone wants to know who would service in the Noblesville area

I totally agree that omnicity should be avoided at all cost. I have had them since the last of May and have not had more than 3 days without some type of downtime. It will range anywhere from a couple hours to the last one that was 41 hrs. The slow downs are even worse, and happen ALL the time. Customer service keeps saying the the routers are getting zapped by lightening... If they get zapped that much, then someone is not doing something right. They say that they monitor the system 24/7, but if they do, why is it down/slow so often. This is my last month with them...I'll go back to dial up!
