Instructor told me to shut up because I pointed out his unprofessionalism.
Let me tell you what happened today. I attended class 3 of the theory classes to get my learners permit. I arrived early, because they have 38 people registered in the class and not enough seats or space for everyone to be comfortable. I am not 16, I'm an older woman, so I arrive early to make sure I can get a decent seat. I was 20 minutes early and there were many who had been even earlier than me. We rushed in as soon as we could. Some people put down their belongings and went to the washroom. The instructor began complaining and threatening that if we don't go to the washroom before entering the class, we should be sent home. It has been three weeks of me listening to this guy complain about how the class size is too big, and not his fault, and how he is uncomfortable with it. Good teachers do not blame or penalize their students for the conditions of the classroom- clearly, the responsible thing to do was to hire another instructor and run another class at the same time in another location. I told the instructor that we all paid money for the course, and if the people arrived early and wanted to go to the washroom, they should not be punished. Then he started yelling at me, because he didn't like that I mentioned we paid for the course. He told me I could get my money back and that I should just SHUT UP and mind my own business because it wasn't even me he was talking about.
Now let me say this- I come to every class prepared, homework read and highlighted and I actively participate. He took my comment as if I am against him, but the truth is I am against his behaviour. You don't start a class out complaining and being miserable, especially when people have paid to be there. So for the rest of the class, I followed along, answered questions and did what I have to do. Maybe I shut up for the time but I will tell everyone I know and go on every website to complain that this is how I was treated for a service that I paid for. Additionally, as someone who works in the educational field, I think it's heinous that he would speak to anyone like that in a classroom context. Maybe it's because I'm a brown skinned woman that he felt like he could talk to me like that. Truthfully, I think he is overwhelmed by the size of the class and has poor classroom management skills. The SAAQ needs to check up on these people- how embarrassing for an adult to behave this way.
Completely unreliable/cheaters
The Omega guys are a real bunch of cheaters, i moved to Canada for a short term and preferred taking a local driving license ( i had been driving for more than 10 years). Since each country is different i preferred to take a drive or two to get to know the rules better and go for a driving test for license exchange ( yes, in Canada they dont accept most...
