Oman Air 8:30 hrs connecting flight not provided with accommodation?

Hi Team,

I had book round trip with your airline from Riyadh to Bengaluru and back to Riyadh via Muscat.

While travelling back to riyadh I got 8:30 HRS connecting flight, as others airline provides accommodation and why its not with Oman Airlines?

There is no proper service as well, mostly in my life time will not book your airline.

Oman Air baggage missing

Dear Oman Air Baggage Management Team,

This is regarding our 2 baggage which we didnt receive when we reach Dubai from zurich . Out of 3 baggage we received only one (2 baggage missing ) It was a via flights from Zürich (switzerland ) to muscat to Dubai. Flight details is zurich to muscat (flight WY0154) Muscat to Dubai (flight WY0603).Flight seat was in the name of Anita Pawar and Chandrasheher Salian. We have our important and expensive things in our baggage like everyday cloths, medicine etc, which are very important . We are trying to call your customer service number in Dubai but no one is answering our call. We are traveling in Oman Air first time and the experience was very dissapointing and caused lot of inconveniences to both of us. It is worth to note that we dont have cloths to wear and main thing is the medicines which has to be taken every day . We have also registered a complaint at Dubai Airport with file reference number DXBWY49728 but didnt receiver any updated from Oman Air. we have been continuously following up with Dubai Airport but we are not getting clear status of our baggage. Kindly let me know when we will get our baggage. I would like to bring to your notice that if we didnt receive our baggage by 7PM today, we shall be purchasing the required clothes and medicine and other thing and shall be claiming the same from Oman Air. This is for your information and necessary action.

Oman Air delayed departure and arrival

Good morning Madam/Sir, My mother and I was to fly from Srilanka to France Via Muscat. Flifght no WY 372 was to take off at 9.40am on 09.09.2018, but it was dealayed by 6/7 hours and took off at 3.30pm and landed at Muscat. please think of my moral pain with my aged mother waiting for 6/7 hours at Colombo airport.

Then we were not sent to France directly from Muscat as sheduled.Arriving in the night at Muscat, again waiting for another flight which brought us to Abudhabi, waiting furthe there and from there by another flight we arrived at France airport at 8am on the following day, 10th .we suffered a lot during 24 hours journey instead of 12.My mother fell ill.

Further my mother's luggage were delivered damagedly the same day whereas mine were delivered only on 11th with damages.

Oman Air luggage not received

Dear sir/ madam!

On 25thsep 6:40 am when Ireached at Mubai airport, I waited for my luggage, I did not found my luggage which details and my details are mentioned as per attached file

Immediately I inform the officer in charge of luggage mr abhisek tiwari. He tried to check, but not found. I made written the details of luggage to him. He told me, he would inquire the same and within two or three days and inform.

Therefore I request you to take necessary action and return my luggage as earliest.

Oman Air unethical behaviour

I booked the return tickets from Oman Air website on 5th April for travel on 16th August from Riyadh to Mumbai via Muscat and Mumbai to Riyadh for 1st of November after payment of 1589 SAR. After booking the ticket, I realized that I choose wrong flight from Muscat to Mumbai and then modified it on the same day with additional payment of 200 SAR. On the day of travel when I was at airline counter they told me there is something wrong with the ticket and kept me waiting for 2.5 Hrs at the counter wondering what went wrong. When there was only 40 minutes left for the flight to depart, they told me, I have to pay additional 645 SAR and they did not give proper justification for that. As I had to travel and don't want to miss my flight I paid the asked amount and got my boarding pass after that.
I think 645 SAR they charged me at last minutes was very unfortunate and caused lot of pain to me. I want it back at any cost.

Oman Air baggage & inflight service

Business class passengers' baggage was not given the priority at the conveyer belt. So why pay the premium air fares and we don't get the premium treatment?

Inflight service sucks! The stewardesses attitude and finesse were worst than the normal restaurant staff. How does Oman air picked and trained their cabin crew ? Worst cabin service ever. Both attitude and service flow.

Oman Air misplaced baggage

I traveled on 17th August 2018 in Oman Air flight WY 0235 from Muscat to Hyderabad. My check in baggage (Sony LED TV) was not found at destination airport ( Hyderabad), lodged a complaint on 17th August 2018 and sent a request mail to Air line authorities on 21st August 2018 but no response from them. Oman Air flight and baggage

I travelled to Dubai from Manchester on 14th Aug with my family. (wy106) Having paid the £35 for extra legroom and receiving confirmation of my seats on row 20, I was still seated on row 24. This is fraud. You take extra money and don't fulfil your promise. Then you lost my luggage when arriving in dubai. You kept promising it will be here tommmorrow but still not here. Why make false promises. You kept saying it's in Muscat. I am now back from dubai and in Muscat. I checked with baggage at Muscat airport and my luggage is still not here. Lies after lies. I am staying at the shangri la Al Husn in Oman. Can you please deliver my luggage as I don't have spare clothes or swimming gear to wear. I am a big guy and have my clothes tailored so can't buy from stores. I have paid over £10k for this holiday and so far you have ruined my holiday for me. Oman Air you are a disgrace. Please take some responsibility for your actions. It is now the 17th and I am wearing the same clothes I travelled in and so is my wife. We have had sleepless nights since arriving due to stress. It's takes years to save money to go on a nice holiday with family and no one likes it ruined. Please get back to me ASAP.

Oman Air delayed baggage delivery by over 18 hours - gold member wy121902130 *important*

COMPENSATION CLAIM FOR DELAYED DELIVERY OF BAGGAGE BY OVER 18 HOURS

Dear Oman Air team,

I would like to bring to your attention of a recent unpleasant travel experience on Oman Air flight from Muscat to Delhi (Boarding Card Enclosed).

I am a resident of Oman living in Muscat and a Gold Member checked in one bag at Gold Member check in lounge at Muscat International Airport. The bag was tagged priority tag at the counter.

The bag didn't reach with the flight and was delayed, this was unbelievable for me. The staff after rigorous follow up issued a PRI report to me. (PRI report attached)

The bag got delivered at 8.30 PM after 18 hours. This delay caused considerable financial loss to me plus embarrassment and reputation loss.

The bag consists of very important documents / duly signed shares certificates / reports / endorsement papers which was required for the meeting scheduled on 6th Jul at 10 AM which later on was cancelled and added mental woes, trauma faced from the participants who flown from outstation cities for this meetings.

Senior folks travel to Delhi from Bombay and Rajkot for this meeting to review the documents and papers for the deal; returned back empty handed since the document bag was delayed by airline and I have to face extreme embarrassment in front of senior folks.

This was unbelievable to me being gold member travel via direct flight to Delhi and experience delayed baggage by over 18 hours.

My full 2 days were lost causing me a financial loss of INR 300, 000 ( USD 4750.00) on account of lost deal, travel & living expenses for self and other senior folks who travel to Delhi and extreme hardship, suffering caused due to delay.

Being a loyal member of Oman Air, I urge Oman Air to compensate my loss as per the policy / insurance of the airline immediately.

Please issue a compensation cheque in the name of 'SHAILENDRA KUMAR GOYAL' at the earliest.

Oman Air I am writing to you to complain about an incident that happened to me with your airline.

Dear Sir/Madam

I am writing to you to complain about an incident that happened to me with your airline. My friend had booked me a ticket for my birthday to oman (WY5562) on the 30th of June. It was a morning flight and I had to stay up all night to pack as it was told to me just a day before becouse It's a surprise. Nevertheless, i was excited about the program that my friend had arranged with many people . This included a meeting with the Pakistani embassy ( as i was chosen to be one of the youth who will represent Bahrain in a trip to pakistan). The program also included a big gathering in the evening at the same day of arriving( which my friend had spent a lot of money booking the venue, and invited some people).

On the morning of my flight my father who is not well, drove me to the airport. When i reached to Oman Air counter I waited at the counter with the ticket officer for about 15 minutes and he had put my bags on the scale already. Then he told me that there is no seat for you and that i have to go to Gulf Air customer service. I went there and i was told to give my ID card and that my flight is at 8 pm without giving any explanation. They only said the plane is "overbooked". So i asked then why should i go at the 8 pm flight, they said there is a flight at 4 pm but its full and we are not responsible about it, if want anything go to Oman air office.

When I went to the office it was closed. I then went back to Gulf air and I tried to tell them that it's urgent and i have to be at the Pakistani ambassador in Oman at 11:30. No-one could do anything about it. I asked for the manager and he told me that the flight is operated by Gulf air. And the reason they are overbooked is that they don't want the airlines to lose!
The only thing we can do is compensate you 75 BD.

Now sir, ad I mentioned, it was really important for me to be in Oman. Besides that, i was sleep deprived and walking from one officer to another (nevertheless i am diabetic, and i hadn't had my breakfast and my sugar went low. Needless to say, i had to call my father ( who was already home and sleeping) to come pick me up again. This is of course without the huge embarrassment that i felt because of all the planning my friend did and all the people she had invited . I was really upset and I will not settle for 75BD.

Please note that I tried to check in online the night before and it didn't work, and when i asked they said the flight was alreAdy overbooked a night before.

Oman Air lost digital nikon camera

My name is vineeta Sharma.i lost my digital niikkon camera in the Oman airways flight. I was coming from DEL on 22nd July to Muscat by WYO246 with my daughter's . I have already checked from lost and found department at Muscat airport, where they dont have it. Kindly check from the crew and the cleaner also of that flight . Please respond as soon as possible. Oman Air not return of booking monies (648.63eur)

These monies were taken from the debit card of Ms Tetiana Gaft on the 15th (see below).
NO EFFORT has been made to refund the sum causing the cancellation of our holiday in Thailand.
This is totally unacceptable and equates to THEFT1

I demand that these monies are returned to the debit card from whence they were stolen immediately.

me and all of my family was the passanger of oman air, from tehran to muscat and muscat to kualalapoor, and again from bali (dps) to kualalapoor and then muscat, and then to tehran, but my bagagge dosnt found, i have a lot of necessary thing in my bagage, drug, glasses and ... i bought a lot of gifts, but my bageg lost, and no one answer, iran agent told me your bagege dosnt found ...

Oman Air complaint against lack of action over claim for delayed luggage

Subject: Delay of Oman Air flight WY374/25 APR Colombo- Frankfurt

Dear Mr. John Stewart

This is with reference to your online feedback, regarding the delay of your booked flight from Colombo on 25th April during your recent travel on Oman Air to Frankfurt.

We thank you for reaching out to us and for providing us an opportunity to clarify. Please be advised that Oman Air strives to maintain the punctuality of its schedules, but at times these efforts are impinged due to situations which are beyond the control of the airline. Let me share with you that your incoming scheduled flight had to be diverted due to bad weather conditions, being poor visibility at Colombo Airport and this could not be avoided. We were not able to operate the flight until the time the weather was favorable at Colombo Airport. You may appreciate the fact that safety of our guests is very important to us.

We truly empathize with you to learn about the inconvenience caused to you. With regards to your baggage, please be informed that as per the normal procedure, the Airline that carries the guests on the last sector, i.e. the last carrier to reach the guest to their final destination is always responsible for any issues with the baggage. Since Emirates was the last airline to reach you to your final destination Frankfurt, we request you to coordinate with Emirates officials, who will look into this and coordinate with Oman Air to resolve this issue.

With regards to your claim for compensation, please be advised that as under the Montreal Convention, operating air carriers are excluded in cases where an event has been caused by extraordinary circumstances which could not have been avoided. Such circumstances include meteorological force majeure condition which was beyond the airline's control. Since the flight disruption from Colombo was beyond our control, we therefore respectfully decline your claim for compensation, that you have requested us to consider and trust you will understand our position in this regard.

We assure you of our care and concern always and look forward to welcome you again onboard Oman Air flights.

Thank you for your mail.

I understand the 'force majeure' reasons that can exclude grounds for compensation. My annoyance in this particular instance was that the Oman Air flight was the ONLY flight to divert that evening. ALL other of the many scheduled arrivals and departures that took place that evening in Colombo were were within minutes of being on time. We could see it all that happening on the Arrivals and Departures board.

I will contact Emirates regarding the late arrival of our baggage in Frankfurt. Again, my annoyance with Oman Air in this particular case was that this was the second Oman Air flight in two months in which our baggage did not travel on the same aircraft as we did. The first occasion was the Oman Air flight that was diverted to Mumbai because of a drunken man on board.

A review of our records indicate that you did not have luggage checked in on Emirates flights when you were re-routed by Oman air. I note that the missing bag report was logged by Oman air in Frankfurt. The bags were forwarded directly on Oman air flight WY115 from Muscat to Frankfurt and subsequently restored to you.

We agree that, it is the airline industry policy and agreement between airlines that on the final leg of the journey, the last airline that transported the passenger to the destination will process any baggage related claim to its conclusion on behalf of all the airlines involved on the journey. However, Emirates was not in possession of your luggage at any point during your journey and the report was logged by Oman air. Under the circumstances, Oman air having logged the report, has a direct responsibility to resolve your claim. May I respectfully suggest that you contact Oman air for assistance with your claim.

Oman Air lost samsung tablet in aircraft

We travelled in Oman Air flight WY0904 from Salalah to Muscat. The flight timing from Salalah was 11.20 a.m. and it landed in Muscat at 1.00 p.m. and then it was flying to Doha.We were 3 passengers travelling in this flight in seats 31 D, 31 E & 31 F. The passengers names are as follows:Mr. Nadgir Milind, Mrs. Nadgir Mangalagouri, Ms. Nadgir Manasvi.
We forgot our Samsung Tablet E in the front seat cover. As soon as we realized that we had forgotten it, we came to the airport at 5.00 p.m. same day to the lost and found section to register our complaint for missing item, to which we were informed that we should come next day to check physically. Please note that this Samsung Tablet contained some important personal data. Kindly request you to look into this and inform us.

Oman Air oman air ticket rescheduling & compensation due to no flight from last 5 days

As mention in my earlier mail all the 32 passenger was sitting at IGI Airport T3 Delhi for 12 hr from 1:30 Am on 13th July to 1. PM 14th July 2018, after check in without any refreshment/food to any passenger which is also a clear violation of DGCA guideline infect no of passenger are diabetic who required food at regular Interval, at least you need to provide water to them.

Apart from that we understand the Najaf Situation but why you didn't send all the passenger to near by Airport like Bagdad or any where or why you have not arrange or tie up any other airline who have the operation to Bagdad airport(as per DGCA Guideline you can arrange alternate flight also). Even after passing 4 days you had not send any passenger to Najaf even after Najaf Airport Resume its operation & Oman air also started their operation to Najaf. There are numbers of flight which landed at Bagdad airport who are not operating from that airport. I am attaching the list of flights with landing schedule at Bagdad Airport.

As you were aware all the Passenger are going on Pilgrim Purpose & after visiting all the religious places they will go to Mashhad Iran on 25th July by charted flight with non refundable ticket( Attached All the ticket)t that's why they are regularly asking you to take them even to Muscat so that you can take them from there to Bagdad. But all the request are gone in vain because of your people lethargic attitude.

I am sure you people are must aware of that & even you don't bother to what happen to there hotels booking(attached Hotel Booking), train Booking at different cities & flight. So because of your attitude all the booking had cancel & passengers had bear a huge financial loss & mental trauma.

So I request you to take all the passenger to Najaf Immediately within 24 hours, bear the cost of non refundable ticket from Najaf to Mashhad(Charted Flight) or arrange any Charted flight from Najaf to Mashhad Iran & make the compensation as per the DGCA guideline other wise we don't have left none other option except to go to court of Law.

I send below email to Calicut(India) office, unfortunately no response. When calling to office, staff insisting to contact office manager, but office manager always not available.

Below is the complaint

WE CAME TO KNOW THAT WE CANNOT TRAVEL TOMMORROW(17TH JUL) MORNING SCHEDULE. AS TRAVELL AGENCY( FAYEDA TRAVELS) CLAIMS THAT OMAN AIRWAYS DIDN'T REGISTER FLIGHT DETAILS IN SAUDI MINISTRY PORTAL THAT ARE MANDATORY FOR HAJJ PILGRIMMERS. Oman Air baggage claim

My name is Asfia Mariam ImranCanadian Citizen with passport number HC267686

I travelled from Toronto to Hyderabad India and i started my journey on July 10th 2018 and checked in my baggage at Toronto Pearson International Airport in flight AC 856 to London Heathrow. Dparture from Toronto 18:35 and arrived at London LHR on July 11th 2018 at 06:30.
I boarded Omain Air flught WY0104 at 08:25 from London Heathrow to Muscat.
I arrived at 18:50 on Muscat International Airport.
I boarded on flight WY 235 at Muscat International Airport on July 12th 2018 at 02:30 for Hyderabad. I arrived at Hyderabad International Airport at 07:10.
Unfortunately when i reached my final destination i didn't recieved my baggage. I filed my complaint at the baggage counter at the Airport. Provided all information needed and asked for.
I am so frustrated and feel helpless as i am not satisfied woth the service provided and i am unable to contact the that has been provided to me to enquire for updated information.

Oman Air issue of wrong boarding pass

Hi,
I have traveled from Bangalore India with the confirm ticket and booked in advance. After arriving at airport the guy named shuhaib, gave me boarding pass of for my muscat flight. I demanded him my name is changed i want my named pass. He denied to give me my actual boarding pass with my name. Now i am in Muscat and i have return flight as well but my booking company people are telling that i am coming under no show so my ticket has been cancelled.
