A few years ago I listed my home with Ofir Chazut of "BERKSHIRE REAL ESTATE CORP - 19092 W DIXIE HWY, MIAMI FL 33180." I listed my property for $269K, I told Ofir that the lowest offer i am willing to accept on my property was $250K.
On Jan 8, 2008 He brought me an offer of $220K and pressured me to accept it, he told me the market is going down, and I will never sell it if i don't accpet the offer of $220K. I agreed.
This week my son got his real estate license, and he went through the mls, he checked up on the "property history" of that house I sold with Ofir a few years ago, and what he discovered shocked us! He discovered that on Jan 6, 2008 (2 days before Ofir brought me the lowball offer of $220K), that Ofir went behind my back and lowered the price on the mls from $269K to $229K! That is illegal and its fraud! He pulled this stunt so he can make a quick buck. I dont know who to complain to, his office was shut down 2 years ago! OFIR CHAZUT is a pathetic criminal.
I do not know the legal technicalities of the above case. What I do know, however, is that I was hired by Ofir Chazut to work at his Jonah's Bar & Grill restaurant in Aventura. He never gave me the usual employment papers to sign within my first week of work, and by the 2nd week he was demanding that I work 12 hour shifts without advanced notice. By that time I overheard other employees complaining that he frequently delays payment for several months. One employee told me that after not paying for several months, he then received a check that bounced... which required that he pay the penalty out of his own pocket. Ofir finally told me that he would meet me at his restaurant and pay me on that particular date. Instead of meeting Ofir at his restaurant, his sizable son Elad Chazut was there, who got in my face and threatened me. Ofir closed his restaurant soon after. He indicated that he would pay me, but NEVER did. He didn't pay me a dime, though he I waited patiently for him to pay me, since he continually told me he would get back to me about it. Every two weeks I would call him to ask him about payment, always getting the reply that he is busy and will call me back. I ultimately told him that I want him to speak to me about payment immediately, because several months had already passed. At that point he proceeded to yell belegerantly into the phone, telling me that no one tells him to pay money. When I told him that I will contact the Dept. of Labor, he then threatened to attack me if he sees me in the street.
