We visit Ocharley's weekly or we once did till February 28, 2007 we went and my son who never eats anything but the chicken tenders decided to change up a bit and try the mini corn dogs. He ate some of them and finally just said he didn't want anymore. I not knowing they probably had a bad taste told him he needed to finish his food, but he didn't. So after returning home, he told me his stomach was hurting really bad,,I said go lay down,,on several occasions he came and said his stomach hurt. So around 2am or 3 am he threw up in bed,,,and then another time before morning. He didn't go to school but wanted something to drink sprite and also threw that up I said what's wrong Keon he said the corn dogs were nasty and made him sick so all the next day his stomach was messed up... I had no way to get him to the doctor till my son got out of school. I took him to his doctor and I told him he was food poisoned and had not been able to keep anything on his stomach since eating the corndogs. And even on my way to the doctor I called O'Charley's and told them that they need to take the corndogs off the shelf or where ever they stored them caused they made my son sick. Well the doctor examined my son and determined he needed to go in the hospital for severe dehydration. The term he also used was gastroenteritis which I found to be medical term for food poisoning. O'charley's continue to call on check on my son. But never admitted any fault, continuing to offer gift certificates, my son never wants to eat there again... And to top it off the doctor ran 100 tests and none was for food poisoning.

What can I do?

I chose to support O’Charleys today at 544 Newtown Road, Virginia Beach, VA; about 12:15pm. For the entire 7 minutes I chose to walk into the restaurant, now of the three employees came to the register to acknowledge me. Further, as a 100% Disabled Veteran, the key lock was damaged on the Mens restroom and I already had to use it! I watched a male employee in the drive thru and two employees frequently look in my direction but no one chose to great me or ask me for my order!

I walked out and went to Chick-fil-A! Apparently, they am to please their customers, their employees love their job, and their food is reasonably priced for my budget.

My name is Joyce I went to ocharleys northwoods sc last night and this is one of my favorite places until last night. I ordered the Tuscan chicken waked over an hour for food for almost no one in restaurant. Well when I got my food I took a bite of my chicken and it tasted funny so I tried another and by the third bite I couldn't get the fork to my mouth. I called the waiter over asked him to smell this thought he was gonna get sick... manager apologized and offerered takeout... I thinkmaybe a coupon for another time... I got up at @3am keeper over from stomach cramps. The chicken smelled like it had sat out all day.. how could the cook not know it wasn't bad...disappointed and weekend ruined

I stopped this evening, with my family, at the O'Charleys in Erie, PA on our way home to NY. This is the first time I've eaten there. Within an hour after dinner I began getting intense chills and the worst stomach cramps I've ever had outside of childbirth. Within another half hour I was at a rest stop off of I-90 vomiting. Thank God I had an anti nausea and anti diarrheal drug on me that I use when and if I get a severe migraine. I took them. Another half hour home...I still don't know how I made it...and I'm vomiting and having diarrhea in my own restroom. My guess is it was the potato soup, as I thought it tasted odd at the restaurant. I'll.never eat there again!

We went to the O'Charley's on Davis Highway in Pensacola Florida on March 23, 2012. I wanted a good steak and I heard this was the place to get it, Well guess what they were wrong. I ordered the rib eye, and it was very thin alot of fat and tasted like it was borderline spoiled, the loaded baked potato was very small and it was a $1.79 extra. So $17.99 for the steak and $1.79 extra for the potato, it was hard eraned money WASTED.

I work for that chit hole called O' Charleys. There are some very cool guest who I would absolutely, hand over fist, break my back for. I live far South. Not saying where to remain anonymous. But the guest we have that are absolutely horrible outweigh the awesomoe ones.
Primarily the guest that does not tip at all happens to be black. But we do have a small amount of white trash as well. They took gratuity away so parties of 8 or more now dont have to tip at all now either. Here we deal with alot of racism both white and black. So more commonly than not the large parties if you are a white server here, will tip you very little if at all. Once again that doesnt reflect on society as a whole. Because there are people that do have some class out there. But we live right next to an impoverished community (Memphis, TN) were people get by scamming for free meals and whatever else they can get for free. Im not even really mad about the guest as much as the company as a whole. People shouldnt be allowed to do these things. They should be banned from the building. Not tipping your server in most instances is wrong. But just running a scam to get free food is theft and a waste of a servers time and effort. If that person wasnt in the servers section, the server could actually make money. Corperate is jacked up. They just do not care for the people working for them at O'Charleys. So sometimes people get a resentful uncaring server. Not right or fair on the servers part. But you people only have to see us once. We have to deal with resentfulness, anger, racism, and stupidity on the daily basis. Most commonly brought on by the guest. And it also makes the regular guest, who is just trying to get his or her servers attention, suffer more.

My complaint is in regard to the manager at the Cape Girardeaux Missouri o'Charlies.

My family and I have been traveling 47.43 miles almost every weekend to that location. Last year there was a wonderful manager named "Brian" who was always friendly and treated the employees VERY well.
Then unfortunatly, Brian was transferred to Bowling Green Kentucky to a bigger facility. SOON after that a favorite waitress was gone! BUT fortunatly she has been followed by good servers.
This past Saturday September 25, 2010 my son and I walked into Cape's o'Charlies, our waitress as bubbly as usual greeted us and KNEW our drink orders from regular visits.
Shortly after the manager came into the "Pub Room" and proceeded to LOUDLY speak to our beloved servers and proceeded to complain to them about opening "Short" amd reeming them out. This was inappropriate AND ruined the plesant atmosphere that we always came there for, we also hearding yelling at the cooks in the kitchen, so much for our relaxing meal.
When this manager came over to ask how we were doing (very insincere!) I told him we were doing fine, BUT we heard him yelling at the servers in public and that we did not want to see our servers run of as others have been since Brial left, he proceeded to tell us his problems of working short etc. etc.
It is obvious, he is NOT a suitable manger to retain good emplee's AND regular customers.
We DO NOT want to visit the Cape location again, UNLESS this manager is TRAINED to serve the public.
I am a registered nurse and my son is a food service provider also and we know what a GOOD Manager is made up of!

These complaints of food poisoning are totally FALSE. Do not care how old they are.

REAL FOOD POISONING!

Comes on fast and furious!
Is VERY painfull and the victums vomit projectile type, it also happens VERY shortly after the contaminated food is injested.

So do not blame o0'Charlies, some people are looking for a free ride.
I have been a medical professional since the sixties and have seen it ALL!

My wife ate a turkey burger at O'charley's in North Georgia and got food poisioning. It lasted for two weeks. O'charley's said they would take care of our costs. When we submitted our out of pocket cost their insurance company refused to pay. Needless to say we won't be eating at O'charley's anymore. It's just not worth getting that sick because they don't handle food properly.

#1 - Gastroenteritis is not only caused by food poisoning. It can be spread by (30-40% for children) contact in school and day care...it can even be caused by drinking swimming pool water. If you are so sure it's food poisoning, why wouldn't your doctor run the proper test? The company called you several times to check up on you - and you are upset they are denying food poisoning due to the fact that you have no proof? You can file a complaint with the FDA - AND FYI, being in the food business...O'Charley's would not be responsible for the corn dogs, here's thinking they probably get them from an outside company and all they do is take them out of the freezer and fry them.

#2 - The manager was trying to rectify your bad service and turn around a bad experience. How can you not be pleased with not having to pay for something you didn't enjoy? Sorry, it sounds like they were having a poorly run shift. Good thing there are people like you who never have a bad day at the office. The first time I went to O'Charley's, I had poor service...I went back to the same restaurant and it all took a complete 180. In any profession, you have people who aren't that great at their jobs.

My friend and I visited the O'Charley's in Lebanon, Tn September 19th for lunch and the service was Horrible. Our waitress was quick to ask us for our drink order but then disappeared and when she finally did return my friend ordered the turkey club sandwich with ONLY TURKEY no other meat and she even wrote it down on her book. she left to turn in the order telling us she would return with rolls. About 15-20 mins. went by and finally our server returned with a sandwich that WAS NOT what my friend ordered and the waitress tried to make it sound as if it was my friend's fault the sandwich was wrong. I spoke up and said,"You even wrote it down in your book like she wanted it." The lady then went to have the sandwich fixed, brought it back and it STILL WASN'T RIGHT. This server NEVER ONCE SAID I'M SORRY or I'll get the manager because of this mistake..instead she ignored us. We didn't get the rolls til I asked another waitress. We didn't get refills on drinks. We didn't get the check and then she didn't return to pick up our money. All in all, it was a BAD EXPERIENCE. I did complain to the manager which he was very nice and offered a FREE MEAL but that's not what we wanted. WE WANT GOOD SERVICE FOR OUR MONEY AND OUR FOOD TO BE CORRECT.
