OCBC Bank ocbc management of my unauthorized transactions

First and foremost I'm utterly pissed and disappointed at the manner OCBC handled my stolen credit cards issues.
I reported via phone & in person and even lodged an official report with OCBC providing supporting police reports & other documents pertaining to my stolen handbag with my credit cards whilst I was overseas in Apr 2018.
Purchases were made using my stolen cards amounting to about $1200
Till now Oct 2018 the matter had yet to be fully resolved as I'm still disputing the amount stolen with OCBC.
The funny thing is OCBC is charging me late payment charges & interests for the amount being disputed since Aug to Oct 2018 which has escalated to about $700 on top of the $1200 which they claimed I owed that was stolen from me.
You not only demanded me to pay back immediately even though the matter is still pending investigation but OCBC had even suspended my credit cards till further notice.
They even informed me that the cards will remain suspended even if I have repay them and I will have to reapply again if I want to use my credit cards with OCBC and it will be subjected to their review again.
What utter rubbish! Did I ask for my cards to be stolen? OCBC took more than 5 mths to investigate despite me filing the reports and had spoken to countless CSO and credit officers on a weekly basis clarifying the matter.
Why should I pay for the late charges & interest incurred on the amount stolen that was being investigated by OCBC and till now had yet to be resolved?
And this had indirectly caused my cards to be suspended and revoked?
Why do you have to go to such lengths to displeased and inconvenienced your customers?
Not that I asked to be robbed whilst on holiday. I did not ask for the matter to be unresolved for such a long period of time thus incurring the interests & late charges. It doesn't seem fair for OCBC to slap me with theses charges & suspending my cards.
I have money stolen from my credit cards from other banks too but I don't see them doing it to me. They handled it efficiently and professionally and they have since fully settled the matter even sooner than OCBC. I don't have to pay for any late charges or interests on the disputed amount whilst awaiting for the final outcome.
I suggest that OCBC seriously look into their procedures of handling customer complaints of this nature or be prepared to lose more customers to their competitors.
Another thing is this suspension of my credit facilities better not affect my credit ratings with the credit bureau and this is the question that I have questioned the bank and have yet to get a reply.

OCBC Bank unauthorized transaction

ON 20 Sept night i received sms to verify a transaction not made by me. 21 sept morning i tried to call back twice to make sure my money $400 was not deducted and the officer said it was only on hold then they DEDUCT my money. i called back again and they said they will raise a dispute(12week process to refund) and call me back in 3-5 working days. but 1 week passed by and whenever i tried to call the custmer servc always busy. go to the bank? they answer the same thing over again

OCBC Bank misuse of home address

Dear Sir/Mdm,

I would like to bring to your attention that the current home address which is 659C Jurong West Street 65 #06-347 (S) 643659.
The house does not belong to Saadiah Mokhtar, my auntie. The house is rightfully owned by my mother, Satini Bte Mokhtar and I. Previously, when the courier guy sent the letter to the house. Previously, she has rented out a room at Boon Lay drive, but now, she has shifted out to a new place. I have already informed the courier of Sadiah new home address which is Blk 712A Jurong West St 71, #04-193 H/P(8402 2118).

We have also lodged a police report and ICA on Saadiah as she has misused our home address. Kindly please update your system to her correct address.

OCBC Bank unauthorized fraudulent wire transportation

Hello good morning I have been trying to get someone to help me.

This letter is in reference to a unauthorized fraudulent wired transaction for the amount of $2250US and a foreign fees charge for $40US. From my Chase checking account ending in 6226 on January 2nd 2018.

OCBC Bank pdpa complaint

Ive visited tampines branch 3weeks ago to request for reissue of myCARD and confirmed my mailing address before left the counter. The staff has confirmed the address is as per my NRIC. And now I haven't received my card. I called in again and told me that I should receive the card within the next 2 days but when I confirm with her my mailing address again it is TOTALLY WRONG. You have been mail the past year letter to the house that I'm not staying anymore.

A call back from call centre: Sethukarasi now is telling me the card has not mail out yet which is so contradicting, you told me the card I should receive 2 days later and now after knowing is pdpa issue, you change your answer.

I have been to your branch personally with myNRIC which stated the current address and your staff did make a photocopy and yet still send to the house I am not staying there anymore. I'm waiting for an answer from you and everytime I have to call in and repeat my story again and again. My request is not a complicated request and yet waste me so much time and unable to settle it. I'm not sure whether any of my personal data letter had sent to that address because the staff couldn't advise me on that and even saying it's okay.if nobody staying there will return to OCBC. Is this the way OCBC handle customer issue and correct personal privacy protection?

OCBC Bank payments not received!

Dear Mr/Mrs,

Last Monday (September 25th) a payment has been received by the OCBC Bank from the HSBC bank in Malaysia from Fastbridge (client) with the amount of THB 2.2, mio. This money was sent to my Business Account [protected].

Although OCBC Bank already received the funds on 25th of September they still refuse to transfer the funds to my account. I've been calling with both my account Manager and the Customer Service on a daily basis and every time I was told a different excuse why the funds weren't in my account yet.

Nobody took the ownership or the responsibility to actually solve the problem, but they all keep bringing excuses like (Sorry, I can't help you, it's a different department, sorry, not my responsibility, please check again tomorrow, etc)

I really hope this was an incident and that future payments/issues will be handled with more speed and ownership. I only just started banking with OCBC but this gives me a very bad feeling about how OCBC treats their clients.

Hopefully this complaint will be followed up correctly and I will finally find someone who takes me serious as a client and actually will help te get my problem solved.

OCBC Bank credit card late fee charges

OCBC is one of the worst bank i have dealt with. It is one bank i will never like to have any transactions in future. I was traveling overseas so there was a delay in payment of my credit card. They charged 120$ late fee payment. When i dialed to there phone number to give my side of story. They asked me to talk to there automated line and they said this the only way. I talked to the machine and lo behold the machine did not answer anything. No one got back to me. So i called back 1 day before my bill was overdue. This time better sense prevailed and i talked to there customer service( what was i thinking earlier trying to follow instruction and talk to machine)The guy told me miss sorry nothing can be done. Ok then i asked him to cancel the card. He said you need to go to AXS center to pay if you cancel your card. I said i dont want to go to AXS center.Please ask your manager to call me. The manager called me today and told me that they have levied another $100 as late fee as i am overdue by 1 day and now i have to pay $280 to them including all interest. If they are going to ask me to pay $100 could not they tell me yesterday to pay else they will be charging me extra. This is a loot and this is not something i will accept any bank to do.Seriously compromised work ethics.

OCBC Bank cheque encashment issue

On 6th Aug around 2 pm, I was at your branch located at Northpoint shopping centre to encash a Cash Cheque that was been issued by my client.
However, the counter staff decline my request with a reason stating the 'marking' before the last 2 digits in S$ box amount could not be distinguish whether is it a 'comma' for thousand & hundred numerals or a decimal point for cents indication.
I did clarify with the staff that the written amount and the numeral figure is the same so why was it been rejected? A prompt and firm reply was been responded immediately repeating that the 'marking' before the last 2 digits could be a comma, hence whatever the numeral amount may be, it will still be an in-valid cheque.
Dumbfound by this replay, I have suggest whether would the staff wants to call up the account holder to verify but the counter staff again replied immediately explaining that the Cheque that i'm holding will still need to be endorsed by the issuer under the numeral S$ box section again even after verifying with the account holder on the phone before I can encash it.

I have strongly believe your counter staff has definitely gone thru very strict training to ensure compliance of rules will be implemented.
A snapshot of the cheque as proof for your reference will only be provided upon request.
I have encashed numerous cheques as well as issuing them as well, but till date, this is the most unique reason that i have ever heard so far.
Would sincerely appreciate the relevant department to be able to verify and revert back on this small issue asap.
As I would definitely love to highlight this strict stringent company policy rules from your company to the public awareness and also compliment on the unwavering services that your staff is providing.

OCBC Bank entire experience of 3 years banking with mashreq

Since I signed up with Mashreq, my personal banking turned into a nightmare. Now, as I'm moving to a more decent bank, Mashreq managed to disapoint me one last time. On Friday, 16 June at 11:25 AM I was told by the call centre agent that my clearance letter is ready to be picked up. Now, 19 June, at the branch the representative of my new bank is told that the letter is not ready. I'm left speachless
If anyone is remotely interested to look into this, I can be contacted at [protected]@yahoo.com . However from previous experience, I would be surprised if anyone at Mashreq would find my complain interesting.
Good luck to any new customer, I will definatelly advise anyone I know about staying away from Mashreq.

OCBC Bank failed fund transfer

my corporate account is with OCBC

Since two weeks I am waiting on overseas funds transfer from Netherlands

The funds have been rejected, without giving me any notification and not giving any reason to the sender bank...just refusing, although a couple of transfers were already processed successfully before.

The bank account is active since 2012, so why now these ridiculous troubles without any reason. I am furious about this arrogant behaviour.

OCBC Bank late charge and interest for 2 consecutive months

I would like to seek address on this late charge and interest for 2 of my credit cards with ocbc. I did call in jan for a waiver request as I did not receive my dec bills. Upon trying for several times, ocbc just brushed me off with a standard sms template that they stick to their stand in not waiving off the charges and charged me still in the consecutive month.
This is really outrageous robbery despite me being loyal to ocbc for so many years.
If ocbc still maintains the move of not granting me the waiver, i'd proceed to move my whole portfolio over to another bank as priority customer.

OCBC Bank credit card charges without valid reason

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am disappointed with the effort and attitude provided by OCBC Credit Card management. No contact or response effort to update the customer. Also, do not seem to take customer complaint into account with review as OCBC bank feel the yare above the customer right.
Please expediate to cancel my OCBC 365 credit card with immediate effect.

OCBC Bank late payment charges

Hi,

I applied ocbc plus card and 365 card at a booth in Clementi Mall. Both these cards are great as I used them mostly among all the rest of the cards I have from other banks. It helped me to save as I spent on my baby's grocery. However, I'm bewildered to received a late payment charges incurred in February plus card statement which I had made payment for both cards on 24 January 2017. I had oversees the plus card due date( 23 January 2017) and I thought that the due date would be the same as 365 card ( 24 January 2017) which I applied both card on the same date itself. Certainly, I have no idea why cards applied on the same date would be different in due date which causing confusion. I'm ignorance about the difference in due date hence I put up a requests on waiver twice. But sadly, it didn't pull thru and leaving me in question mark. I changed the due date to 24th instead of 23th to make it same due date for both cards so that situation won't happens again. I even settled all balance earlier on 17th February 2017 to avoid hiccups.

On 3rd March 2017, I logged in to check my statements and I'm surprised to receive late payment charges again on 1st March 2017 for balances that I settled off earlier on February. Leaving me puzzled as I got to put up waiver request once again. I wasn't told that the payment cycle changed when I called in to make changes on the due date with a customer service executive. And I still don't understand why there's a late payment incurred for an early settlement.

Innocently, I didn't have the intention to pay after the due date at the first place. To avoid late payment, I changed the due date but yet still receiving late payment charges. To my disappointment, I really got no choice but to terminate my cards with ocbc sooner even tho I really love your company cards a lot. I sincerely hope that you can look into my case as I would love to secure and enjoy spending with these both cards.

OCBC Bank late and interest charges

I've received my billing statement last 24 Feb with accumulated statements for Jan to Feb 2017 since I never received my billing statement the previous month. I called customer service and spoken to Ms. Nelly she advised to request for waiver and wait for SMS for approval. However, after 4 days I received an SMS saying that my request was declined. I've called customer service again last 28 Feb to explain my side that I never received my previous statement and willing to settle them in full except the interest and Late charges incurred since it wasn't my negligence. I have also a good reputation of clearing all my debt in full and paying them promptly. So, it's unfair if I will charged. The customer service named Aisha promised to call me but never get back to me at all. So, I made a follow up again last 03 March, I've spoken to the Malay guy and promised to get back to me the next Saturday before 5pm. But then, again! Nobody called me.
I feel very frustrated and upset with my experience that they couldn't handle my concerns and couldn't give me solutions to my problem.

I am hoping for your immediate attention and favourable action.

OCBC Bank late payment charges

I have been using OCBC Plus card from 2008 and have regularly using for my shopping needs and paying it on the due date. Two times due to overseas travel I was not able to make on the due date and made the payment immediately on my return this also is due to the reason that I receive harcopy invoices through post. First time when I had requested for waiver of late fee they acknolwdeged it and during my second overseas travel they charged late payment fee and had requested them to waive since I was overseas and also agreed to go for GIRO and infact did have the GIRO approved...inspite of me doing all this they still held on to the decision saying "We stand by our decision"...I would have requested for waiver of this atleast five times and saying that to the customer service officer that GIRO is already approved and no more issues on late payment but still they did not heed to my request.
All I can say is that OCBC is losing genuine customers. Now that I have cancelled GIRO payment that I had done and also the plus card.

Now I have been receiving invoices for the payment of late payment's late payment...this is ridiculous and wanted to raise this up with the concerned forum

OCBC Bank 365 credit card annual fee waiver

I am writing in to complain and feedback the very first time on my OCBC 365 credit card annual fee S$192.60waiver unsuccessful. Even after speaking to the customer officer, OCBC still insist not to assist me in the waiver with reasons being I did not meet the minimum spending requirement (i.e. min spending S$10k annually). As a customer, with credit cards with different banks, OCBC is the only bank that I encounter such difficulty in waiver. I am a genuine client with frequent usage on my OCBC credit cards. The reasons for rejected my fee waiver are so ridiculous!

Better think twice before applying OCBC credit card. Recently I have used my credit card for 12 months instalment interest free purchase of my GE insurance policy. And while I left 9 or 10 months of instalment, OCBC decided to charge me $192.60 annual fee.

I have sent in request twice for annual fee waiver but OCBC no respond with it. And I tried to call OCBC customer hotline [protected] to appeal for waiver of the annual fee but my appeals were rejected 2 times by SMS. I sent an email on 13 Dec 2016 (Tuesday) to explain and appeal for waiver in the e-banking mail but no reply after 4-5 working days.

Yesterday night I tried to call customer hotline to appeal again, the customer officer was refuse to put up my request and told me that is the bank FINAL DECISION which unable to waive the annual fee. The lady officer was told me I can just cancel the card I hardly used and I should not pay for any annual fee BUT due to there is instalment plan on my card and if I were to cancel the card immediately, I will have to pay off the balance of the instalment. What a rip-off? Perhaps due to my instalment plan, OCBC will like to use it as a loop hole to refuse waiving of the annual fee?!

What a "GREAT" service has OCBC Bank rendered to me, as their customer for so many years. I am very frustrated and unhappy that OCBC customer relationship is seriously lacking. As a local big bank, can’t OCBC provide a simple goodwill waiver for a genuine customer? Now I don't think I should maintain any more account with them with such LOUSY SERVICE OCBC Bank provides. I will definitely cancelled all my personal facilities with OCBC. OCBC loss will be other banks gain. ? I waiting impatiently for your call back that you guys have been wasting so much of my precious time.

OCBC Bank customer service, billing

Dear...,

I called two of your customer service lines to request for waiver of credit card annual fee about two months ago. I tried many times but was always being put on hold for about 15-20 minutes. I therefore pressed the waiver button and smsed ocbc to request for annual fee waiver. The automated machine told me I will be notified in 10 days time.

Subsequently, I received a new credit card statement. The statement shows that I have not yet paid for the annual fee of $80. On top of that, I was being told to pay a late charge of $80 plus some other interest fees. Again, I am not able to reach any of the customer service officer. I used the online enquiry form to request for someone to call me back. Days after, I received a call and the officer said he will put up a waiver request for me.

Now I received another statement, telling me to pay some additional interest fees. I am unable to get through the line again. I thus went down to one of the ocbc branches, queue for an hour and request for help. I was totally disappointed when the counter staff told me to contact the card centre directly. She said "we received lots of complaints on such cases but we are unable to help."

At the ocbc branch. I logged into my ocbc online account as I would like to show the staff the online content found in my account. Disappointed with what I was being told, I went home and try to log in to my bank account again. And unfortunately, my account was being locked. Now, I am unable to reach any customer service officer, unable to log into my online account and the counter staff cannot help me.

I am extremely disappointed with such service provided. I would appreciate if you could get someone to contact me and get this matter resolved at the soonest. I have been a long term customer of ocbc and I am totally disappointed with this incident. With such treatment, I am considering transferring all my fund to another bank and terminate all services with the ocbc bank.

I used credit cards from the ocbc bank and the citibank. I would like to highlight to you that I have never encounter any of the following situations with citibank. From a customer's perspective, I think your customer service division and billing department need to seek improvement in what they are doing.

OCBC Bank credit card

I paid my Ocbc outstanding balance as reflected in the statement in full and before due date.

Thinking that I have already fully settled all my outstanding balance, I missed paying the residual interest which only appear in the next statement. I immediately made a full payment of the residual interest upon realizing it.

I appealed for waiver of the late fee but my appeals were rejected 3 times by sms.

I sent an email to explain and appeal for waiver in the e-banking mail but no reply after 1 week. I sent follow-up email and still no reply on the 2nd week.

Yesterday, I called the Ocbc customer hotline [protected] and waited for 30 minutes but no one pick up my call. I hung up and call again. Finally, I managed to get a customer service officer to pick up on my second attempt after selecting general card enquiry.

I have very good credit and payment profile, not a habitual or recalcitrant late payer. Banks approached me all the time to offer facilities and services.

My experience with 6 or 7 other banks were totally different from Ocbc. I do not need to wait for 30 minutes to speak to a customer service officer.

They do not put me through such frustrations to ask for fee waiver.

All my correspondences were replied mostly within 3-4 working days.
