I was in the mall walking by with my spouse when I heard a man in the Providence Place Mall trying to stop an Asian woman to see his product she declined and he along with his friend who stopped by the kiosk started making Chinese noises as the girl walked away! It was the most disturbing and disgusting thing I've ever seen someone do and especially while working! Just off that alone I will never EVER buy or let anyone I know buy anything from this company. Hire better not racist men.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics I felt so stupid

Hey! I nearly read all of the comments. Thank you for sharing your experiences with everyone. I was on my way to London from Hamburg (Germany) when this nice, friendly sales man asked me if I would like to test the hand cream. One thing let to another and very soon I purchased the face scrub for 120 Euro. He also gave me the face cream ( worth 60Euros he said) for free. What should have rang the bell was, that the two sales people in the shop had terrible skin. Eventhough he told me the face scrub is the best thing against Acne and all this- his face was covered in lots of spots. Anyway I bought the scrub, used it twice and my skin didn´t like it at all. My face felt really dry, I had little spots around my chin and it was all red. When I arrived in Hamburg after I spend a week in London I looked for the shop to tell the sale man my problem. I showed him my face. He look concerned. I told him, under this circumstances, I would like to have my money back. He told me, this would not work, because the system in the till has no such option like refund. WHAT? That is unbelievable. He called his boss to ask, what to do now. The boss did not seem happy at all, that one of his employee would call him on a Sunday. He (BOSS) then wanted to talk to me and asked, what exactly I purchased. I told him the scrub. Then he asked how much I payed for it. I WAS SHOCKED. I told him, that he should know. It´s his shop, why doesn´t he know the prices. He told me he would send me a form via mail so I could claim to get my money back. He never send me an email. I tried to call the shop. No number. I only reached someone in vienna who is in charge of the shop business. I send them emails. No reply. What kind of business system is that. There is a shop in Hamburg, but the Boss lives in Munich. If you want your money back, you need to send emails to vienna. I´m really disappointed in the hamburg airport, that they let people like them sell their products there. If you have a problem there is no one you can speak to, a supervisor or so. I hate this shop so much. They should not be allowed to sell any products anyway because of their dodgy/illegal way of selling. Even on the internet you find more then two "obey your body"-websites. They are saying, that they only sell the original products in 2 shops and the online shop. anyone else selling it just copies the products.. Is that true? Anyway, everytime i now go to the airport, this story comes back in my head and i feel sad and furious. i don´t think i´m the only one. the airport should not support shops like that.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Unethical Behavior

On 10/25/2015 I was given at demonstration at the Bay Plaza Mall in the Bronx NY by a Man named "Jay" at the “Supreme” Kiosk selling OBEY YOUR BODY PRODUCTS. I purchased a face peel system and was given a scrub as a free gift plus a 20 dollar gift card. Total spent $108.88 I explained to Jay I have very sensitive skin and asked explicitly if there was a no refund policy I cannot buy the product because I need to see how it would react to my skin. He replied, "Come back and I will take care of you". Not even a half hour elapsed and the skin on my arm (where he tested the product on me) turned bright red and became inflamed. (I have picture documentation also attached) I hadn't even left the mall. I returned to "Jay" and he fed me a routine of him not being able to give me a refund because his manager wasn't on site. Made me fill out a paper and someone would call me in the morning. I received no call. I returned to the Mall Monday night and Jay acted surprised "Oh no one called" let me take your number and I will call to check on you tomorrow. Although he had already taken my number the day prior. I got no call. I spent all of Tuesday calling the numbers listed for the company as Jay now fed me some story, on Monday, of me having to call to get prior authorization for a refund even though I am the customer. I proceeded to email and call the numbers listed online and on the business card Jay gave me. Nothing works. Emails bounce back and the phone numbers are non-working. I looked up the company online and found Jay has done this prior too many customers and to my amazement the same product I was sold, was sold to these people at half the price I paid. Real nice. I have exhausted all possibility of contacting the company and Jay refuses to issue me a refund. I have not used any of the products I was sold. Jay used his samples on me. I suggest the Administration at the Bay Plaza Mall takes heed to these online complaints and removes this vendor Kiosk and offer the space to a company that aren’t scam artists. Sadly for the company and Jay this time he swindled a lawyer. I will be pursing legal action against the company for no response to customer complaint or any resolution. I have an allergy and just want to return the un-used product for a refund.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Exfoliating Body Scrub and GRATiAE Silky Body Butter

Sunday afternoon, Aug. 30, 2015

In the mall at Baychester Plaza in the Bronx, I was pulled over by a very charming but very pushy salesman who said his name was Jay. He also said he was Italian, but when I tried some Italian phrases on him, he did not seem to understand a word. (I should have seen that as a red flag!) Anyhow, he tried to sell me a slew of products. I bought two and he said it would be $39, total. I did not get a receipt. Even after I bought these he kept at me and wanted to sell me more. I eventually got away without being rude and felt OK about the whole thing. The products I bought are quite nice.

But! Today I checked my credit card activity and saw that I was charged $87.10. That's more than double what he said. I tried to call the number on the card he gave me and was on hold for a long time and then invited to leave a message. Then I called my credit card company to dispute the extra $48.10. I hope that is the end of the story!

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Pushy Salesman

I was walking through Forrest Hill mall and in a rush to get some stuff before the shops closed. The next thing I know this man from Obey Your Body grabs me and makes me sit down and starts showing me all their products. The more I told him its expensive and I couldn't afford it, the more he kept insisting that we could "make a plan" and put it on a budget plan. He kept putting the products in my hands and every time I put it down, he shoved it back into my hands! Whenever I told him I needed to leave he kept insisting that he would only be 5 more minutes. I felt accosted and highly irritated that this man kept pushing me into buying the products.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Price

On the 29 of January 2015 at Menlyn shopping Centre a very nice Isreali girl grap my arm and se put some of the product on my arm, and then she said I must take a seat, put some eye serum on my eye. The results were amazing! But then she told me if I am going the take a eye cerum, cleansing soap, mud mask and peeling gel it wil only cost me R3000.00. I told that I dont have that much money the she came down to R2100. I bought it. Today I am back in offce and I googled Obey your body, suprisingly the product is much cheaper! I have the receipt that she wrote me. That are really daylight robbery!

I've also spend thousands of rands (R15 000) for the so called family gold package but they do not deliver what was promised. There is always an issue with my bookings and a battled now for almost a month to get hold of the Menlyn shop with no success. I also phone the managers on their cell phone but the phones just going to voice mail. Does this shop still open? Is this not a scam?

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics scammers

In Paramus Mall before Christmas before Christmas in 2014. Beautiful, Isrealite girl grabbed my arm and pushed me into a chair and started to apply the eye serum and FLIRT w/ my husband, Long and short, we got stuck with eye serum and cream and freebies to reel us in. Now out $300 and could have done better with Oil of Olay for about $40.00. Didn't even tell me to close my eye she was jabbering and applying so fast. Also, jars are GLASS. Dropped serum and it shattered on floor big time. Mia said she would replace for $79, big deal. It cost $150!

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics overpriced plus in glass, pushy sales person

Got scammed by a beautiful Israelite girl for $300. Grabled my arm and pushed me into a chair.Eye serum and cream pushed on us. Flirted with my husband and he got hooked. Out $300 plus freebies to reel us in. Should have known better. Eye serum and cream in glass. Hence, eye serum slipped out of my hand and broke big time on bathroom floor. Girl, Mia, returned our call and said that she would replace it for $79. Big deal. Worth about $20 each. Go buy Oil of OLay, tried and true.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Scam

I bought the peeling serum from the mall kiosk. The product that I purchased was missing the pump. After several phone calls, I finally got ahold of the person selling the product. She said I must have received a defective bottle and I could bring it in. I informed her that I live 3 hours away and cannot bring it in. She said there was nothing she could do. Very poor customer service when you spend that much money. She was extremely rude and not willing to send a new product although I offered to ship this one back.

I also purchased the peeling serum from the kiosk, brought it home and unscrewed the top and there was no pump. Took it back to the kiosk and the salesman pulled off the top and there was the pump attached to the bottle. So by unscrewing the cap it removes the pump which remains inside the cap, and by pulling off the cap the silver area remains attached to the bottle revealing the pump.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Seedy & Pushy Salespeople

I was rushing through the mall to get to specific store. On the way, a guy hailed me down and asked if my fingernails were mine. (It was a duh question by looking at them.) He handed me a free sample and as I started to walk away, he said to wait, and grabbed my left hand and proceeded to buff my middle fingernail. He tried to sell me a kit for $99. I said, 'hell no', and he lowered the priced to $50, and I still said 'no'. I tried to leave and he blurted out that he'd throw in another for free. I decided to buy the kits because I felt a little sorry for the guy and I wasn't going to get rid of him unless I bought something. I felt buyers remorse immediately afterwards. I woke up the next day with full intentions on returning them. I pulled the receipt out of the bag and it was stamped, "No Refunds only Exchanges". Well, if I don't want the products, an Exchange isn't going to do me any favors. This kiosk needs to be shut down because they are pan-handlers and items can't be returned. I know it's my fault for not being strong enough, but I have a feeling, they can tell by body language on which victims to go after. Also, they don't post their prices as I think they are supposed to by law. Thanks!

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Beauty Facial Creams

Hi There,

I was in one of our malls last month and got caught with these salesladies from Obey your body who are very pushy, the more I said no I dont want they insisted on showing me the products and the next thing had me believing in what these amazing creams can do for my skin, I was even shown photo's of what these creams to do one's skin, and that to me now is false/fake advertising, which also cost a huge fortune, well let me tell you I have been using it now for a month and I can see no difference to my skin. I have also noticed that i am getting a few pimples eve4ry now and then, so what does that tell you.

I want to return this product and have my money refunded back to me. How can I go about this, please advise. I will return the product, no problem as i am not by any means impressed at all.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Aggressive Then Change Price In Attemp To Get You To Spend

My hubby & daughter were in a hurry to leave the Tacoma mall, when they were accosted by a young man with an accent, manning a kiosk for Obey Your Body. My young daughter who wears no cosmetics, no jewelry and no nail polish, was blatantly asked, "Are those your real nails."? Since they were walking at a fast past there would be no way the sales guy could notice. All the while my hubby is getting samples pushed his way and my daughter getting a mini nail service, which she never requested. Hubby says they need to leave now, but the guy attempts to sell him a kit for $59.00. Hubby say no thanks. The sales guy then mentions if he buys it now he'll toss in a second kit free. Hubby declines & starts to leave when the pushy sales guy tells him he can let him have the kit for only $5.00! That was it, and hubby & daughter just left the guy standing there. Weird.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Scammers!

Beware of pushy people in the mall in those kiosks in the middle of the mall, they walk to you, they are trying to sell their products no matter what, their products are not what they claim. They overcharge you and if you are not happy or change your mind they will not allow you to return their products because all they want is to get your money at once, if they were secure of their product quailities (a ripoff) they will not be afraid you will return them, anyway beware people nobody should be pushy, like they are, you should buy what you want, no what others are trying to sell you. There is very nice people out there that are taken aventage of these scammers. Beware, it happenned in my family too. But it won't thappen to me unbelieveble, obey your body yeah rigth!

You can only blame yourself, sales people need to eat just like you. Take your time don't be impulsive, do some online research before you buy. You can find stuff online alot cheaper 99% of the time. The girl at the mall wanted to sell me a bottle of the peeling gel for 50 dollars. I really liked the demonstration but didn't want to pay that kind of money. I found the exact product online at amazon for 8 dollars. To be honest, the product is great and has does wonders for my skin. I had redness, pealing and itching under my eyes and just between my eye brows. After a few days of use its gone, My sister even said she noticed a change. For me it has been amazing, but remember no to people are the same. What works for me might not work for you. For 8 dollars its worth a try, for 50 Its a risk. So be a smart shopper and stop blaming other for your mistakes.

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Beware of Deceptive Sales Tactics

My wife came home from Xmas shopping at the mall all excited saying she met a lady (Outer Beauty Secrets), who was going to hire her as a model for demonstrations of Obey Your Body products. (said she had the perfect complextion for there product). Still have not heard anything.
She came home with five bags of various creams, lotions etc. I asked how much she spent and the two receipts totaled $599.70. She said half of it was free and convinced me she got a great a bargain. The lady would demonstrate stuff, tell her how much it helps her looks, put it in a bag, and say I'm giving this to you. She had the impression it was freebies. She gave away half of the stuff for Christmas presents and the other half sits in its bag in a closet of a spare room. SHE HAS NOT USED ANY OF IT.
AFTER CHRISTMAS THE CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS CAME AND THERE WAS FOUR CHARGES TOTALING $2667.80 NOT $599.70. GUESS THE FREE STUFF WAS NOT FREE. She first tried to call the cell phone number of the sales lady, it was no good. Called Capital One and they reversed the two extra charges and my wife filled out some paperwork. Thought it was a done deal. Then a month later the charges were back on the card again. We called Capital One and this time we got copies of the stores receipts. Looks like she signed for everything although she says she only signed for the two receipts she came home with. We drug our feet a little following up so it is now three months later and Capital One says we only had 45 days to contest the charges. Called the mall and got the name/ph# of the owner of the lease and contacted him. He researched the transactions and says my wife did charge the items. He says wives often overspend and try to hide it from there husbands. Guess I'm not the first he has heard from.
I've read other complaints from this site with similiar experiences at various locations...My suggestuion is, if you buy outer beauty products "PAY CASH"DO NOT USE YOUR CREDIT CARD"

Well thank GOODNESS I paid the sales lady at the mall with CASH! Sounds like a horrific ordeal that you & your wife went through with these essential CRIMINALS...Charging all that money on your credit card...they should be prosecuted for that!

Their sales tactics are wayyy out of line...too pushy, and bordering on harassment...Yet I had NO idea that they would charge all that extra money on your wife's credit card...Just another reason to AVOID these vultures selling Obey Your Body products in the middle of malls everywhere!

From,
Nychic (I listed a complaint against these con artists on this board also!)

Obey Your Body / Genome Cosmetics Pushy con-artists

I was at Crossgates Mall in Albany, NY and was window-shopping with a friend... Next thing I knew — some sales woman literally grabbed my arm and pulled me over to her area (one of those little sales spots in the middle of the mall) where she was demonstrating and selling Obey Your Body products... She then grabbed my hand and said "Oh my... What have you done to your nails?"... I was so stunned by this woman's pushiness that I — and my friend were speechless! The woman had some sort of foreign accent, and she started doing a mini-manicure on one of nails... After that — she takes out some moisture lotion and started wiping it under my eye, telling me it will fix any wrinkles! My friend said he thought it did nothing for me, so she then whipped out an obey-your-body nail-care package... She was a smooth operator and convinced me to buy it... I didn't have much money on me, and told her this — and then she had the audacity to recommend buying a second nail-care package... I told the vulture that I only had enough money left for gas for my car... But then she started begging me and used relentless persuasion tactics and refused to take no for an answer (even when I told her no)... So she then dropped the price two times, to where I felt compelled to buy it — as a gift for my sister..
These people are unprofessional and flat-out con-artists... And they are ruthless. I am a nice person, and this sales woman took advantage of that!

My warning to people: if a salesperson from obey your body at the mall grabs you outta nowhere, tell them to unhand you, ignore their pleas, and then walk away fast!
