This is a scam!
I have ordered a pair of glasses from www.nycoptics.com and it took them a long time to deliver. When my glasses finally arrived I was shocked to find out they shipped me only the frame with no lenses! I immediately contacted NYCOptics customer service and sent them a picture and they promised to fix everything.
I sent the glasses back and they promised to return them to me within a few week. Waited three weeks and heard nothing from NYCOptics. I sent them a message asking about what was going on and they said that my glasses were almost ready. Another week passed and they said the same thing. When I asked for a refund they did no reply. Total scam!

This company operates even worse than an online fraud. I ordered a pair of sunglasses more than a month ago. Immediately after I received them I contacted them asking them for an RMA to return the item unused, in its original packaging. Since then, it has been a nightmare dealing with such unprofessional business. They constantly send emails saying that they will process the refund but they never do. (I got emails from Samantha S.) A few weeks ago I got fed up with this company and said that wanted a full refund and will not accept charges for restocking fees; they replied indicating that they will process my request immediately. As of today, (more than a month since I contacted them for the refund and 1 month since they received the return), I have several email from this company promising to address my request, but I don't have any product (it was promptly returned) and my credit card has not been credited either. In short, BUYER BEWARE, DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN RISK, and assume sales are final when you buy from these guys. They are very unprofessional and have proven to have questionable ethics, ... at best!

All information of the company www.nycoptics.com was total scam. I have ordered two pairs of sunglasses, but the seller took money for the order and hasn’t provided any details about the order. I was disappointed and tried to contact the seller, but his phone number was fake. No email address and impossible to contact this person. Stay as far as possible from this artist.

Did NOT GET MY GLASSES!
They Take your money as soon as your order is completed and send you a thank you e-mail and then you never really hear from them again unless you try to make contact. The phone number is never answered. They have a voice mail set up that constantly says they are out of the office and to please send an e-mail. The e-mails are answered by someone who calls themselves Samantha Stein but never seems to have the correct information or know whats going on with your order. The address they use is a Pack and Ship business in New York City, the business owners seem to actually have an address in Arizona and the Web Host is in Virginia so getting any money back or finding these people will be impossible with no physical address. They are probably actually in China.
I love nycoptics.com. Ships so quickly and love the free returns as well (got a frames that didn't fit well and returned it to get a size bigger). Very happy getting "promoted" to VIP as well with free next day shipping.
I was also conned by this company. Helpful hint-get a hold of your financial institution & try doing a charge back. Let's not let this company get away with robbing us. GOOD LUCK!
The attachments are the prove of conversation that i had with Samantha Stein. She will try to procrastinate the matter as long as possible and make it like she had done the refund. Then after that, you will never hear from her again no matter how many emails you sent. Make wise choices before you buy things online.
Same thing happened to me except I initially got my eyeglass frames. I didn't care for them, they care about customer service & do not mind doing exchanges just so long as you send in $9.95 to cover shipping charges. Nope, didn't have a problem. Returned the eyeglass frames back to them, included the $9.95. I never received any new eyeglass frames back. They never answer the phones, live chat. Trying to get someone who knows what they're doing to respond back to you in an e-mail, is impossible. I had the misfortune of dealing with some idiot who calls themselves Samantha Stein. Learn from my mistakes do not deal with NYCoptics.com.
I feel sorry for the people reading these post. Most likely the reader is already a victim as am I. I purchased a pair from them, instantly I received a generic order confirmation.I few days later I emailed requesting for the shipment tracking number. Two days later "Samantha Stein" replies that my sun glasses had a cratch and would like me to standby so she can search for a replacement or I could request a refund. Of course I requested the refund. The next day I get a reply that my refund haa been processed. 5 business day later I demanded for the status of my refund. The next day, "Samantha Stein" is working with my credit card (cc) company to process the refund. We all know it not difficult to process a refund. I then went ahead to process a claim against them with my CC. Either I get the refund from "Samantha Stein"or my bank will issue it back to me. Hope this post will help other people before they decide to do business with NYCoptics.com
Yes, i have the same issue. If you request for refund, they won't refund to you. They wil make a few excuses about your credit cards cant be refunded and they say will send you check but you never receive it. NYCoptics is a scam website. Do not buy from them. Be aware!

The worst online site i have ever experienced. Send an e mail & you will get a response 3 days later from "Samantha Stein". Call they're Customer Service # & you'll get a bootleg phony answering machine. & leave a msg, don't expect a call back.
My experience was after ordering a pair of reading glasses in December, As of now i still have not received the product & yet they still took the funds out of my bank account & gave me the run around that it was on back order. What company takes money from you if they do not have the product in stock. There was no email to let me know of this matter, i had to send email after email harassing them to find out the status. Now they have submitted me a refund on Feb 11 & i still have yet to receive or get a receipt stating this refund claim. I emailed them yet again 3 days ago about it being 12 business days (not including weekends)& it has still not shown proof of refund. SHOCKINGLY i have yet to hear back from "Samantha Stien"

A total joke of a site. DO NOT TRUST. Samantha Stein (nycoptics Support) tells lie after lie after lie. They will take your money and run. My only saving grace is I used American Express and I hope they will reimburse my money from this fraudulent site.

Obviously fake start-up reviewers, the above lot, all within two weeks posted. Tried to order in 2013, paid, excuses all the time. Kept me waiting for 6 months, promised refund. Didn't refund, had to start complaint procedure at Mastercard. Stay away.
