I have just learned from magnet that, if i wish to choose their service instead of upc, i cannot because they don't have access to upc's fibre optic cables which upc recently installed on my property. I don't now wish to sign up to upc's service because, in their terms and conditions, they oblige you to give upc unlimited and unconditional access to your property.
I wonder why other companies such as magnet cannot use upc's fibre optic network in the same way as eircom, under the new legislation for fair competition, are obliged to allow other companies access to their network.

    I wish I had an idea of how bad they were before I had their systems installed here in my home. Would never recommend them to anyone. Lack of customer service - lack of resolution to any repair issues you may have - empty promisses (never call you back when they say they will).
