I was to have my gas restore today. The customer service representive I spoke to said, "you don't have to be home, we can turn on your gas from outside." I waited one week for this service. Today North Shore Gas came out and I was at work. My son was home but spoke to no one. North Shore Gas technician left a note stating he was there and no one was home, someone needed to be home for him to turn on the gas. I called and talked to Lillian(supervisor) who reluctanly gave me her name.She refused to give me her last name. Stated, " don't give out my last name." I asked her if our converstation was recorded and she said yes. I requested that someone should come out as soon as possible, considering the error that North Shore Gas made. She insisted that the earliest time will be tuesday. I guess since I have no choice in the matter, I must wait another week before I can get service. I am still waiting for my service to be connected so that I can cook, clean, or take a bath.I can't believe that any company could offer such poor service and get away with it. But when a company has too much power and no compitition, it can treat its customers unfairly.
